I have a bug that sometimes, after hitting the coconut tree, my pachy starts to slowly walk backwards, away from the tree (more like walking away lokking behind at the tree, not actually stepping backwards).
I can't stop the animation, my direction controlls ignore me and even sitting down, jumping or attacking won't stop the 'slowly walking away' animation.
I only can relog the game.

For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

I'm still having issues with Evrima. When I select start in Steam on the game, it pops up a window saying; " Couldn't Start" I've redownloaded the game multiple times, deleted every folder, restarted my computer and steam each time, and nothing is seeming to fix it. Idk if The Isle itself is screwed up too because I can't even open the Easy Anti Cheat program from the The Isle folder. But when I open it from Rust it works fine.

Not sure if this is a troubleshooting issue (just joined to report this), but just experienced a rather nasty bug where an adult stego with low stamina and less than 50% blood becomes paralyzed for upwards of 60 seconds (unable to move or do anything other than look around and lmb bite attack) after stepping into a mud pool (possibly while being pounced by a juvie utah)

The effect wore off after 60 seconds when something changed and I managed to tail spike one of the adult utahs, then I walked out and then back into the pool to try wallowing again (definitely utahs pouncing me this time) before being paralyzed again and trapped for at least another 45 seconds before I bled out unable to move or retaliate

Is this an intentional mechanic where you cannot move, attack, or wallow while standing in mud while pounced?

i keep getting this, i had uninstalled the game and reinstalled it still get this but i still can play but not without issues:
*cannot pick (only tried it with deino) up fish, bring it to shore and eat it most times- will not let me find the hitbox to feed from
*fish would not float to the surface if killed in water and ragdolled to the bottom just for me while others were able to see the object float to the surface and eat from there- i had to take chunks off to eat
*when eating fish whole as a large deino, the fish is not sitting in the mouth and way below the deino body while surfaced and eating
*i do not know if it is an issue but with poor diet on herbivores, i was not able to find dietary foods while standing still until a group showed me where some was (could just be a "me" thing on this point since i have not fully explored how everything works with poor diet)

@bright plaza It seems that Steam will try to show servers closer to you. Alternatively, you can use a VPN if you have one. Can’t see any servers? Try checking your Firewall and if it’s doing anything with The Isle. The best thing to do is to add a firewall exclusion for The Isle's folder located within your steamapps directory
Open Steam
Select “STEAM” on the upper left corner
Go to Settings > in-game
Increase the “In-Game Server Browser: Max Pings / minute” value and see if it helps..

Reboot your computer and check if your problem is fixed now.

if you've recently used VPN, sometimes the computer tries to use the same location even after you turn off the VPN.

I suggest just relogging. If that doesn't work, go to your allocated server channel:
#evrima-na #evrima-au #evrima-sa #evrima-eu

@ official server admin, give the server number, your IGN (in-game name) and issue

if you're able to update, try make sure you can update.
Usually you can do so via restarting Steam

(turning off Steam via Task Manager; making sure that steam DOES NOT show)
then relaunch steam

it should, usually, pop-up with an "updating steam" notification then launch.
If it doesn't and it brings you back into steam via a fade, then you might've done it wrong

Can't find any Official Servers, and can only find a few Unofficial Servers.

I've checked Firewall and Uninstalled & Reinstalled. Still can't find servers.

Idk if anyone else has had this problem. But the last few times I've logged into NA1 over the last week I would hear the character select screen make a click noise, (would never see it), and I'd be dumped with a Utah juvie phased into the barrier on the side of the map effectively stuck on the outside zone. I have gotten it killed before and after that things would work fine. Even saved a pteranodon on it just the other day. And now it's reset me again with this barrier-zone shenanigans. :/ Anyone know what's going on with that??

Okay, this shit fucking pisses me off so many fucking times no matter how many times I reinstall the bloody game,
Whenever I go into combat, more importantly. I start to glitch, with a walking animation. I just walk forward. I cannot move toward any other direction no matter how much I try, I can kick, I can bite, but I cannot move, or stop. and then that's how I get killed so often it ruins the experience for me. If you don’t wanna play only Evrima maybe you should look at the 1080 or 2080 on the PC and for future plans take an Intel processor of the 11. Generation.
My favorite Motherboard producer is MSI because i like their style. Another good one is Asus. You should search for them. In every way i would advise you to buy only pieces and build your pc on your own.

Do not buy Skytech prebuilts. They come with more issues than you'd want, considering the part list and how they put them together/set them up.

If you're looking to just get a prebuilt, try Redux or a recommended custom prebuilt provider so they can help you with that at a fair price.

What exactly are the minimum requirements for Evrima? Because I have a 2070 GPU and a Ryzen 7 3800X and I still get that fatal error with the new Evrima update. Just wanting to know if I need to wait for a patch or something or just accept the inevitable loss of my dino at this point.

Right now, the minimum requirements for Evrima has risen over the last year.
Now you need to have Windows 10, a PC that can run DirectX12... etc etc

the best minimum examples we've gotten come from just going around server to server honestly

iirc, during Update 3, someone told me they found someone with a working 900 series card.
Can't recall which one though, but I doubt that'll be the case in the future sadly

hopefully with the implementation of Unreal Engine early-mid next year, with nanite etc, it should hopefully cure some problems revolving slightly older rigs

So after a whole year after multiple reports they still have not fixed the keybinding issues? Can we please fix the fact you cannot keybind movement to the arrow keys the menu is broken. Its all good going into the back end to change code to fix it yourself, but then airbrake and other functions stop working even though its bound to the same key. Its not fair that left people with disabilities cant even play the game comfortably right now because the issue remains unfixed for years. Is it something difficult to fix? Its really frustrating to see the priority being put on getting new dinos in and humans when key binding isnt even working. Some people cant even play the game because of this...

Huh. Try When you are encountering issues with the escape menu and/or inability to properly use keybinds/controls, try this:

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located. No adverse effects will take place by deleting this folder, it will reset your keybinds to the correct keys.

In case anyone else has the same problem, I moved my Legacy version of the game out of my steam library and reinstalled Evrima and now it's fixed? Reinstalling Evrima without doing that didn't work for me. No idea if it's just a coincidence but it may be worth trying.

Okay. Try turning off auto-adjusting features. See if that will do it. Also if you can try doing that after you've full uninstalled the game. I wonder if installing the game with some of those features enabled causes the issue.

So I completely uninstalled the game, changed all the settings in the Manage 3D Settings tab of the control panel and reinstalled the game. I’m not 100% sure if it actually changed anything. The map seemed to load in somewhat faster than usual. FPS seems to maintaining a higher number than before. Time will tell tho I suppose

Frame rates are fluctuating a lot again as I load more things in. I’d say that messing with the control panel might have made marginal improvements but it’s not conclusive.

Yeah I was able to play the game. Played until about 10:30 last night and overall the performance was improved a bit. Still had some issues with the map not loading

A friend of mine is an admin on the server I was on and they mentioned that there are about 200 or more Ai place holder spots being loaded all at once on top of the active Ai that are near the player. Also mentioned that the entire map, even beyond the blue border, is being loaded as well. Wonder if those things could be causing issues for map loading on lower end computers.

Devs are on break and technically I am as well. Or I should be. I'll personally look further into this when I've got the time and when/if I know anything I will post it here.

So, I'm hoping to get help here, if at all possible.

Everything in EVRIMA runs great, except for one crushing factor... After playing the game for a period of time, the game will end up crashing, and at some points, giving me the BSOD, with errors like "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION." This also applies to other games that I play as well. This is happening on a new PC that I got as an early birthday present, and I'm lost on what I should do.

If I can get help on solving this bs, it would greatly be appreciated.

I used to be able to play Evrima no problem, back when it was just Utah and Tenonto in game. Legacy runs no problem but every single time I try to switch and open Evrima, it runs the AE logo perfectly then black screens and crashes with the error "Isle has stopped working: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. "

Any idea how to fix this? Nothing seems to be blocking Evrima from running, and Legacy runs perfectly.

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

Hi all. I'm having the same issue as @thin oracle where I play both Legacy and Evrima on GFN (GeForce Now). My issue applies specifically to Evrima, which I believe was the same for @thin oracle . I don't know definitively because I only saw their post regarding their issue due to a friend that messaged me a screenshot of it as well as a reply from @thin oracle that instructed them to validate the game through big picture mode. I have done this and it hasn't fixed my issue, hence why I am now posting here. My issue is essentially that I pressed the 'Reset' button while in the settings menu in Evrima, and this caused the settings options not only to be rearranged (strange), but also for many settings options to be outright deleted. Specifically many options from the axis portion of the menu. I now can no longer use some of my movement keys or even use my mouse to look around since the mouse axis options were deleted. Basically the game is currently unplayable for me. Evidently this is a known bug from what I've seen on here and Reddit. Any current solution to this? Validating content through big picture mode reset my graphics options, but changed nothing in regard to control settings. I will post a screenshot of @thin oracle 's post for reference. Sometimes quicklogging (logging out without sleeping) and rejoining the server can restore lost characters. It might take multiple tries

Replying to myself as an update/clarification: My fatal error occurs only when I drop into the world. I can connect to a server and select a critter, but as soon as my camera adjusts from fade-in, I get that fatal error and I crash. Again, bug report already made, just looking to see if anyone else has this issue.

every time i try to play the isle i get the terms and services with the "I understand" button, but i cannot click on the button with the cursor because the game reads my cursor as being up and to the left of where it really is. i was able to get past that and to settings but i cannot hit 'apply" when i change the windowed mode. how can i fix this?

Me and another are having trouble getting the group function up, Insert doesn't bring up the player list.

There are 3 recurring themes that I have seen since update 4.0 coming out of our 600+ members community. Plenty of people have issues with loading the map (takes forever), black screen upon game launch and the well known massive performance drops when there's too much action in one area that usually do not recover until your relog to the server.

Seems to be massively affected by the amount of people / corpses around and doing a relog after a lot of action usually helps quite a bit

I'm having trouble joining the servers, everytime i try to join a server it shows me data aquisition in progress and then stops and leaves me on the server screen without joining. I've already tried checking my files and redownloading the game.

Please reset your system’s Winsock connection settings by opening a Windows command prompt as administrator (go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories, right-click on “Command Prompt” and choose “Run as administrator”) and entering “netsh winsock reset" (without the quotes). Reboot your computer and check if your problem is fixed now.

If you're a Windows 10 user simply type "CMD" into the search bar at the bottom left, right click "Command Prompt" and select "Run as administrator", then continue following the instructions above.

For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

So I have an issue where after trying to reset my controls to the default settings it seems to have changed my controls completely. i am unable to move the camera angle as well as unable to move in more than 2 directions (down and to the right) this also prevents me from being able to chat in game as well as a number of other actions. When you are encountering issues with the escape menu and/or inability to properly use keybinds/controls, try this:

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

hey im having a weird problem

when i boot up the isle envirma it runs and brings up the message you have to click i understand on but it wont let me click on it

seems like the computer and the game think the cursor are in defferent spots if that makes sense i was able to finally click the message but is there any way to fix this

p.s. i read the pinned messages im talkin is there any way to fix this permentley so i dont have to do F11 or tab down? i dont want to play in window mode

I have a similar problem. I launch the game and I have a black screen each second when I try to click somewhere. Also, my mouse isn't at the "right place", when I moove my cursor to click on a menu I have to do lie the screen shot : if I want to click on the blue point, I have to put my mouse on the red point

Hi! I downloaded Evrima few hours ago, and when I tried join server I had message "Data acquisition in progress" and it stayed on "radar" until this time.
