When you are encountering issues with the escape menu and/or inability to properly use keybinds/controls, try this:

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located. No adverse effects will take place by deleting this folder, it will reset your keybinds to the correct keys.

the parameters to change the keys are totally buggy. I've been trying to change the keys on my keyboards or even on my controllers for 1 hour, and either the keys come back as before without resetting, or they are duplicated which makes everything buggy because suddenly they overlap, giving 2 orders at the same time .... it makes the game unplayable.

I've been trying to get my evirma working but cant I have unstalled the isle multiple times as well as steam with it. So far Everytime i've unstalled steam ive gotten a new bug or glitch when i start up evirma the one that i have right now is a bug that when upon launching the game the AE animation freezes and in my taskmanager it says "not responding" on "the isle" application. I had the anti cheat problem also. It was on legacy and i went back to evrima and the anti cheat issue happened. What i did to solve it was to un install it and re install it then it worked. (prior to this i tried finding a anti cheat site and downloading it but coudlnt find. re installing it was the only solution)

I am unable to join any server (neither official nor any custom work for me) since weeks. It hangs in "Data Acquisition in Progress" forever.

I tried restarting the game and re-installing many times over the past couple weeks (I had "Qualitiy Assurance" branch selected. Since Update 4 was released I selected the "EVRIMA Public Branch" beta).
I also wiped everything I could find about TheIsle in the "%APPDATA%" folder of my Windows user account.

I also did a network trace (on my router) while I was trying to connect to a server and found that the game does not even attempt to send any IP packets to the server I tried to connect to.

Interestingly there is another family member who has their own steam account and also owns a copy of The Isle. This person does not observe this issue even when using the same PC that I am using (logged in with a different Windows user account).

Any help what I could try to fix this would be highly appreciated.

one thing that can sometimes work (for other games in a similar situation), if go into your isle folder and delete the TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping file, then retry to verify your files and it should properly check, find the file missing and redownload it, and see if that works

hello!!!!! I have a bug quite annoying and detrimental to the game. Apart from the fact that when I enter the server the textures take minutes to load(I don't know if it's my pc's fault). The case is that I only generate a zone, to explain it better is like the chunks of minecraft, I generated only one block and then I can not pass until I load completely. Here the same thing happens but it is not a specific zone, after 10 minutes pass (or sometimes it is not generated at all) it is generated but I lose another zone that I have to reload. It just happened to me that I was running away from a carno but I could not pass and ended up killing me. Thanks for your attention.

However, if you're on an Official Server (for Evrima).
You can "@ official server admins" in your allocated server channel (eg. #evrima-na #evrima-eu etc)

Was playing pteranodon earlier and latching was working for rocks all over, trees where less reliable to latch to. You have to hold RMB while air braking to latch.

you can fix your graphics, it's got nothing to do with that

restart windows/your entire computer and make sure you double click on the server when you want to join. I've found when I don't double click on, example na3, it'll put me in and kick me out

During floating above endless void for a good 30 minutes after third relog at 20-40 fps looking at everything loading 35 miles away from my current location, only to be finally greeted by the land under my feet and T posing Pachy proudly standing on barely loaded grass without any single animation on him. Should i expect to not play the game for the rest of however long it takes to put another patch on it? Witness what the hell is happning on my screen, waiting in hope through all that time im trying to actually start enjoying The Isle? Give up to the thought that my GPU is busted?.... or pehaps somehow manually uninstall and then reinstall The Isle on Steam.

Anyone having the following issue and already tried to manually uninstall and reinstall, may need to upgrade from Windows 7. It is believed that this OS can cause the issue to occur. Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft anyways and it is an OLD Operating System. Also I have found that many people that run windows 10 that have this issue are using below the recommended GPU for The Isle Evrima. You may need to upgrade your system. Our answer to any issue you have if it is below recommended will end up being "Upgrade your system". You may have an unstable version of Windows as well, If it's not a GPU under our recommended minimum specs. Try reinstalling Windows if that's the case.

If none of the above works, you likely have too old a GPU and need to upgrade your PC or, you can wait for a possible update or fix. Evrima is a new game, it has new tech in it, it will not be as easy to run as Legacy. If you find yourself having this specific error, you're likely needing to upgrade your pc, or consider the switch over to Geforce Now, which can run The Isle Evrima very well, depending on which subscription you get.

If you experience low poly models/models bugging out and general lack of performance on a gaming setup- If you have Nvidia Geforce on your computer, attempt to optimize the game through that. It is not a guarantee but it can fix certain graphical bugs and improve overall performance.

Do you have DLSS enabled? I've heard it can cause blurring and after images.

yeah, DLSS's plugin causes ghosting within (due to how the AI tech works) but it's how it helps with FPS

So, if you want better FPS and you're happy to ignore the ghosting. Keep DLSS on.
But, you don't like ghosting- you'll have to pay the price of potentially worse FPS

do note, at times some games with DLSS don't have as much ghosting compared to some like The Isle and JWE2

I’m stuck on 8 FPS
This bug appears to be typical of players with laptops that are at least two years old.
Navigate to and open: NVidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings
Search for "The Isle"
On "Select the preferred graphics processor for this program" choose either
High Performance NVidia Processor.
Select and change for all programs to use High Performance NVidia Processor.

Alternative Fix:
for those with Windows 10 that do not have GEForce installed/cannot access NVidia control panel
Go to your windows settings or “Search Bar”
find “Graphics settings” > Underneath “graphics performance preference” select “Browse”.
Find the Isle.exe.>Select “Options” > Select “High Performance” > Select “Save”

No, though it calmed itself down somewhat. I'm still getting huge FPS drops and my mouse sensitivity is permanently high, even changing the sensitivity and my dpi settings don't change it, it's all rather strange. However, the game is still playable, if just rather annoying to traverse.

@sage tartan Interesting.. GPU could be struggling because the game is unoptimized. Yeah I'd say best to do is bug report it.

If none of the above works, you likely have too old a GPU and need to upgrade your PC. Evrima is a new game, it has new tech in it, it will not be as easy to run as Legacy. If you find yourself having this specific error, you're likely needing to upgrade your pc, or consider the switch over to Geforce Now, which can run The Isle Evrima very well, depending on which subscription you get.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located. No adverse effects will take place by deleting this folder, it will reset your keybinds to the correct keys.
