Yes that's common, sometimes servers crash, they will go back up in the next few minutes

in the qa branch if servers crash they take a while to go back up

2. Go to...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache\appinfo.vdf

3. Delete the file appinfo.vdf

4. Re-start Steam and try again.

I was full grown Carno JUST now

And i SAFE LOGGED (Slept for 60 seconds) and i log back in to check if it worked. Im back to growing a new one. I hate that this is happening. Im done with this game. Honestly i waste hours upon hours to grow, and it goes to dust when i either have to go to sleep, eat food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and it kinda hurts my motivation. No one is playing semantics. You opt into an early access beta branch and are met with a screen that states that the Evrima branch is being actively worked on, and that bugs, even game breaking ones, can be present. Below that you select a button that says: I understand.

The safelog bug is awful and causes you to waste time, yes, but it's been fixed in the QA branch. If you don't want to opt into the QA branch that's fine, otherwise you're just going to have to wait for the update to be pushed to the Evrima branch.

Hello, not sure if this is the right channel, but when traveling across the map, the terrain isn't loaded and takes pretty long to load up (around 1-4 mins aprox, different each time), when I try to enter with anything other than a flying ptera, the dino keeps falling repeatedly under the texture and moves super slow before it gets all loaded (Also once got Ptera bugged by entering the unloaded area and returning - the Ptera couldn't fly/jump afterwards until relogging).

This makes playing anything other then ptera very difficult to play in some situations unless you stay in the current zone.

Also, average fps are 30-50, which is fine to play. Altho from time to time the game stutters really hard and drops to about 2 fps, then recovering back to average after a while.

Scent sometimes works flawlessly without any performance drops, even when sensing a plenty of water/blood. But sometimes (even when there's barely anything scented afterwards) stutters the game really hard, simillar to the above fps issue.

Sound often glitches aswell, like if the audio was lagging/skipping.

(Settings are set to low, and off if possible)
Is there any way to fix/improve any of these?

Oh, I see, you need to close the game first. That folder holds all of your settings including your graphics and controls, it's usually the go-to fix for any control issues since it complete resets the game to default

Rolling in dirt is done by holding E on muddy terrain, usually next to rivers. It's really shiny, you have to learn to spot it.
Inviting someone is done by holding 2 to send the invite, and them holding 2 to accept it.
Sniffing is done by holding Q, if you're an herbivore you need to be standing still.
And you grab corpses by holding G on the body, some might be too big to carry. If you want to grab a small chunk of meat, tap G. Hope that helps!

Is anyone running windows 11 and trying to play the isle. Seems a stability issue or something game runs fine from what I can tell. Dunno if the lag and desync is the same as it was but seems pretty bad at times. But seems to be the only game I play where if I have a browser open let’s say watching twitch. Or have discord open watching a stream. And it lags that out and freezes that screen pretty much. Cpu usage at 32% ram at 24% Gpu around 80% which is normal. And about the same in most games. Cpu is ryzen 3800x Gpu 2070super and 32gb Corsair vengeance 3600 ram. And a 1tb sabrent rocket pcie 4.0 m.2. So in my mind it’s not the hardware. Either the games the issue or windows is. Didn’t have the issue on windows 10 but again I don’t have the issue with any orher game. Wondering if it’s an isolated case or have others experienced it.

I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this or if it is a known issue but whenever I play Ptera in EVRIMA, I get the bleed healing symbol flash or pop up momentarily. I haven’t been hurt or wallowed and my food and water are good. It seems to happen only after I reach the juvenile stage and continues into adulthood.

Leaving this here for anyone on linux. This game is working on Proton-GE.

1. The evrima version is buggy.

• Sometimes your dinos are gone if you log out, my workaround is i just press logout, your dino will be saved if you quit that way. (But you might be killed ingame, find a safe spot).
• Also if you die, you wont be able to choose a dino and spawn again, doing that will freeze the game in a loading screen. You need to restart the game completely to spawn again.
• Occassionaly you get huge fps drops.

2. Evrima QA (A better experience if you manage to load in the server)

• I got a lot of black screens when choosing one of the official servers (Had to restart the game)
• The spawn bug is fixed (You do not need to restart the game after every death)
• Dino saves (Needs to be tested more)

Overall, i'd say this game is now playable on Linux

If you did in fact check all the pins and follow them correctly, aka, manually uninstall and reinstalling, not just through steam, verifying files through steam. Then its chalked up to being a known issue that will be fixed with later builds. Keep in mind Evrima is an experimental branch and has many disclaimers to not work 100% of the time.

Hey! Im trying to fix the fatal error problem for 2 days now. It suddenly occurred after already 400 hours playing the isle, never had it that severe before.
I’m getting really frustrated. I came to the point where I think the isle just gave up on my computer (cause I also tried everything that is pinned regarding this issue) even reinstalled steam, I have no viruses on my computer, windows is updated and no problems with my GPU. I found a fix. You have to change the Server Browsing Ping from 5000 to 1000. To change it, navigate to Steam>Settings>In-Game>Server Browsing Ping.
Then, hit the "Hide Empty" and click refresh

For those who need to uninstall Easy Anti-Cheat due to issues with Evrima do the following:

Install, Uninstall, Or Repair Easy Anti-Cheat
The Easy Anti-Cheat service is typically installed automatically with each game, and uninstalled automatically when the last game using Easy Anti-Cheat is removed from your system.

You can also install the service manually. To do so navigate to the "EasyAntiCheat" folder inside of the game's installation folder and locate "EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe". Launch it as administrator and choose 'Install'.

If your Easy Anti-Cheat installation becomes corrupted somehow, you can repair it by following the same steps and choosing 'Repair' at the end.

Easy Anti-Cheat service is uninstalled together with the game. You can also manually remove the service from the system by following the above steps and choosing 'Uninstall' at the end.

A group of friends and I (there were 4 of us) walked into a field and got a fatal error. We assumed the server crashed but this wasn't the case. Our other friends who were not walking in the same area never got the error and are playing on the server just fine. Our other friends are able to leave and re-enter the server just fine. More so a question with my server particularly, but I have noticed that there have been absolutely no schooling fish spawning. I’ve flown up and down all of the rivers and ponds, nothing. Is it possible I disabled it somehow? It was working the first day the server was up but after that, there have been none. The server restarts on its own every day and I have manually restarted the server, as well as fully shut it down and turned it back on to see if that did anything. It’s been like two weeks and still haven’t seen any schooling fish. I have tried wiping AI, toggling it on and off, every other AI spawns but the schooling fish.

Is there anything I can do to fix this or? Maybe the schooling fish have requirements that need to be met before spawning?

Anyone having the following issue and already tried to manually uninstall and reinstall needs to upgrade from Windows 7. It is believed that this OS causes the issue to occur. Windows 7 is no longer supported by Microsoft anyways and it is an OLD Operating System. Also I have found that many people that run windows 10 that have this issue are using below the recommended GPU for The Isle Evrima. Please upgrade your system before posting here. Our answer to any issue you have if it is below recommended will end up being "Upgrade your system" . You may have an unstable version of Windows as well. For anyone encountering fatal errors leading to crashes You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

(1) Right click on the Isle in your steam games list, and click on "Properties"

I'm also having issues joining servers. I just downloaded the Evrima part (I am new to the game since I haven't been able to play since I bought the game in around August 9th about 2 years ago, I think.) When I try to play and get onto a server it just shows the sky before bringing me back to the menu.. Idk what to do. Tried for the past 30 minutes now with no luck.

So why does my food, stam and water bar turn yellow. And have blocks almost half of the food and health bar? This happens everytime you guys do resets/server crashes

Its meant to be the throw up thing which also happens if you leave without safe logging and when the servers crash you dont have the option of safe logging so there ya go
