U gotta try uninstalling the isle and steam, (once u uninstal them u gotta reset ur pc), i had to download VRChat due to the "I forgot the name of the antivirus" not downloaded

Once ur done with all of that, check that you are connected to a safe WiFi net and install The isle back

i click play and just get error for official network status. I updated my drivers, cleared game cache, verified integrity of files, fully uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Every two days or so, it will connect and say online and then I can play. It will work as long as I have the game open on the play menu or am in a match. If I close the game then I'll get stuck with Error for official network status again for ~two days

I made a new steam account and rebought the game, and I have the same issue with it too. I've also checked for game updates. Closed and reopened steam, and the game several times. The only way I get to play is if I have a long session when the game is working. It's not often that my free time lines up with the time the game decides to work.

Press Windows button on keyboard and type there "%localappdata%". Find there "Steam" folder and delete it (you have to log into accounts again after that)

Ok, I am going to try my luck. I set up an Elvirma server and, after much work, finally got it to work. I can see it and log in to it. Thd problem comes after I choose a dino and click to enter the game. That is as far as it goes. It stops there. I don't have any logs or any more innfo other than it does not lock the computer, only The Isle itself. I have to Alt-F4 or otherwise close the game to get out of it as it never launches into the gsme.

There's no estimate for when the servers will be back up and the DISCORD admins don't have any answers regarding the servers either.
They've been down for around 2 hours from what I could tell from what other people sent.
Things will be fixed, just have patience. Take a deep breath, sit down with some YouTube, a show or a movie.

In my opinion, it’s probably healthier (and definitely more entertaining 😅) to just start watching an anime series in the meantime instead of staring at the screen for hours — or in the worst case, even days — waiting for the servers to come back online. Sitting there refreshing the page every five minutes won’t magically fix anything… unfortunately. If there’s no clear information about how long the maintenance or technical issues will last, all it really does is build up frustration.

I genuinely hope this downtime isn’t just being used to fix one specific issue while accidentally creating three new ones somewhere else. In the past, it sometimes felt like one thing improved, but something else suddenly got worse — like a never-ending trade-off 😬. And of course, that kind of experience doesn’t exactly boost community morale.

From my perspective, there are several areas that really need proper attention and long-term improvements. It would be great to see not just quick, temporary fixes, but meaningful updates that actually make the overall experience more stable, fair, and enjoyable.
