The GPU and Refresh Rate shouldn't clash with eachother in terms of performance.

Right click your desktop, click display settings, make sure your monitor is selected, scroll down to Advanced Display and you should be able to choose your refresh rate. If it's no higher than 75hz then that's your monitor's refresh rate.

But if you're concerned about it hurting performance, don't worry. It won't hurt in-game performance.

Press Win+R, type %localappdata%, scroll down until you find a folder named 'TheIsle' and delete it. It's been known to sometimes fix the issue.

Also make sure there's nothing in your launch options within the game's steam properties.

Just bare in mind if you delete the folder, you'll likely lose your skins and your settings will reset.

Since the latest update when I open the game I get Network Status: Offline and can't see any official server. I can still see the unofficial servers but when I click to join them I briefly get "connecting" and then I am back on the server list, unable to access any.
Restarting Steam fixed it once but right now it is not working anymore, it seems random with the highest chance to encounter this issue when I open the game.

why do i keep getting random frame drops, not tiny ones either, like huge frame drops that never go away, down to 2 fps randomly after being fine for a while, I've tried reinstalling, deleting config folder and verifying files, the issue is still there

AH yeah the foliage physics are ROUGH on your pc. i'd recommend leaving all foliage physics off.
