they can copy and paste them in their replay folder, so your replay becomes their replay

So I have already checked pins and followed everything but I’m having to use loading the game. I have been able to play it before with no problems and I am able to load the game but it gets stuck on the loading page so I don’t even make it to my menu for the isle on evrima. I have no third party programs I did disable the anti cheat that comes with my Victus 15 Laptop and I’m having no luck.

My laptop works well with the isle -- it’s been some time since I played it — the ram was the only thing that was prohibiting my gameplay but we had it modified when I first was playing and it has 40 ram now so the max required of 16 is easy.

I am away from home so I cannot troubleshoot this exact moment but does anybody know why I can’t play anymore?

This is caused by your third app antivirus (Norton, avast, avg, etc)

you can:

• uninstall your antivirus completely
  or
• disable it before launching the game (might not work)
  or
• create an exception in your antivirus for the entire isle folder

sometimes it requires you to reboot the pc or download the game again, as the files can be already blocked.

I hate to beat the same old drum but I've barely seen anyone discussing it, so I assume it's probably a niche and rare issue but is ANYONE else experiencing fatal error on attempting to join hordetesting servers?

I've seen perhaps 1 other person mention it and there doesn't seem to be a fix. I've done the other fixes for fatal error, even reinstalled my game. Files verified, config folder cleared. Nothing.

hi guys. i've got a brand new pc ( i9-14900k, rtx 4070 ti) and the isle won't run on it. at first the game simply wouln't even load, it would start running and crash without anything ever happening. my first solution was to add the game to avast's exception list as i found this suggestion on the internet, then i ran the game and it caused the black screen of death, which i resolved by plugging in a new monitor cable into the motherboard. after that, the game would open up, but freeze on the blue AE screen. I tried to verify the game files on steam, didn't help. tried running in dx11 and dx12, dindn't work. tried deleting some sorta (cache?) folders i can't recall, didn't work. tried reinstalling the game, didn't help. my drivers are up to date. after trying all that, running the game a few more times once resulted in a BOSD, then just some fatal error, and then an error saying that i don't have enough memory which is untrue as both of my C and D drives have at least 500GB of free space. any suggestions?

Issue on Steam Deck

Hello, I play The Isle on steam deck and since the latest update I keep getting a 'Fatal Error' message everytime I try to join a server. I verified the integrity of the files but that didn't work then I reinstalled the game and managed to get into the queue for a server but when I got to the end of the queue I got the same 'Fatal Error' message. Does anyone else play on steam deck and are having the same issue? Or does anyone have any ideas what's wrong? Thank you

YEP I have the same CPU I know exactly what their problem is

@valid helm I have the same CPU and GPU and had the same issue here is how to fix it:

• Install intel extreme tuning utility
• Slightly underclock your CPU and click apply. Like literally by 2 in each category keep core voltage offset at 0

Here is what I have mine set at. It's default is 57 and 44, I brought it down to 55 and 42. Sometimes windows updates will reset it so I always check after one to make sure it's still at my custom settings. This also fixed my modded MC worlds from randomly crashing on me.

I've been having a similar problem to kitty but when I click play, the anticheat loads and the big the Isle header pops up but then I'm sent back to the play button. No errors or crashes, the Play button just comes back. The game doesn't even load for evrima but I can get into the game just fine on legacy. I tried doing this but whenever I try to install the tuning utility it just says "attempting to install on an unsupported platform" do you may know any way of fixing this for me? Mine is a Intel Core Ultra 9 185H 2.50GHz

I just checked the install page for it and it looks like the ultra 9 285H is supported but not the 185H

This fix is for specific Intel CPUs and a very specific uncommon crash issue and that's why it isn't under the troubleshooting pins.

If your game is just not opening your CPU probably isn't the problem.

I'd recommend trying to clear your config folder if you haven't tried that, the directions are pinned in here @thorn nimbus

Issue: Game crashes with "Fatal Error" on launch since the update. Worked fine for 50+ hours over weeks until today.

Steps Tried:

Reset EAC config (Settings.json).  

Network test: ping 144.126.153.107 works fine.
Still crashes with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION reading address 0x0000000000000080.

Notes: No local changes on my end—issue started right after the update. Suspect EAC/EOS compatibility broke for Linux/Proton with Build 17904624. 

This issue should probably be reported to EPIC with some of this information since EAC is their product.

btw, there is a "appdata" on linux you can access through your wine/proton prefix. When you play a game in linux using the compatibility layer steam provides with proton, a proton prefix folder (pfx) is created for that given game and is stored inside the compatdata folder in steamapps.

This folder also stores other files of interest, such as the ProgramData folder, Program Files, and the Documents/MyGames folder you would have when playing on Windows.

Unfortunately cleaning the config folder won't solve the issue that's been happening on linux systems lately. (It didn't solve for me)

for example, the config folder inside the appdata folder for the isle can be found in the following path in linux systems (assuming you have a symbolic link to steam inside $HOME/.steam):

$HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/376210/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/TheIsle/Saved/Config/

the id between compatdata and pfx is the steam game id. The Isle's is 376210. You can find out a game's steam id by looking at the game page's url in the steam store.

Epic needs to patch their EAC specifically to work with Linux again. That's what needs to happen. There is no way for a user to directly report a bug to Epic about EAC. Only Developers can do it.

Yeah, it's that's probably something on Epic's end. There is a possibility however for game developers to disable the EAC's linux with proton support for their games, which would be very unfortunate for us. I don't think that's the case though

Hi Com ! I have a small problem with Evrima. Actually, with Evrima and Steam. Evrima is always under downloads for me, and it always says "Game configuration not available." I've already deleted the config folder. That works for a few hours, but then I get another error message and have to restart the game. This is caused by your third app antivirus (Norton, avast, avg, etc)

you can:

• uninstall your antivirus completely
  or
• disable it before launching the game (might not work)
  or
• create an exception in your antivirus for the entire isle folder

sometimes it requires you to reboot the pc or download the game again, as the files can be already blocked.

Forgive me for using task manager but does any one else get this where the game just refuses to run at full performance available? I'm running fairly high spec and yet the CPU, GPU are doing practically nothing and aren't being bottlenecked as far as I can tell. Yo my nightvision is just pitch black, and the eye adaptation is weird as well. i tried dilo after trying herbi(herbi had the pitch black night vision) and the dilo had no problem with the nightvision itself, just the eye adaptation was bugged. when i looked down my screens gamma lit up and when i looked straight it went pitch black again. i tried deleting the game, including the settings files in the appdata folder, without fix.

Hey im having some memory issues.. likely caused by a million corpses in the area but my fps tanked. Power usage was high and cpu and memory were up abnormally. Is there any settings in particular i could lower to mitigate this? I just finished a memory diagnostic and nothing was found

Yes, everything is up to date, but Nvidia says the installation can't continue. This Nvidia graphics driver is incompatible with this version of Windows. The graphics driver couldn't find any compatible graphics hardware. I have version 572.83.

i followed the steps only changed a setting or two and my GPU is now at like 80-90% usage XD a 3060 but the game looks way nice with the settings you reccomend in the video XD

As you haven't played in sometime, I would Update your GPU Driver and Windows to the latest versions, Delete the Config folder to reset all settings (see pinned messages on how), Verifying the game in Steam would be good as well

You need to disable dlss but try turning it on next day or next time you open the game and it should work normally. It happens like every 3rd day to me
