If you right click the game in steam and go to properties, then click installed files, it should be an option at the end of a short list

Try this:

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Open File Explorer.
3. Click the address bar at the top.
4. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
5. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
6. Open the "Saved" folder.
7. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
8. Start the game.

This is confirmed to be because of the current amount of players. 145 players gives 80 ping, 140 players 60 ping, 65 players 25 ping. Lower it to 125 max and see how that goes until it's better?

(nb. after adding exception to your antivirus for the isle you may need to delete the 'The Isle' game folder from where it is installed (right click on the isle in steam - properties - installed files - browse to find the location where the game is installed which will open as a File Explorer window in the background in the taskbar) and then maybe restart your pc/laptop then back into windows and run steam again and see if it successfully downloads the game again and runs ok)

if you switch branches sometimes it is a good idea to delete the config folder (keep skins) or TheIsle folder in appdata

• could try deleting TheIsle folder in appdata\local (the game will recreate it with default settings next time it runs)

you can type /unstuck in the in game chat might work or you can tag the @ official server admin role in the official server channel for the official server you are stuck in and mention your in game name and hopefully someone is available to help

nb. if the /unstuck doesn't work it could be because other players are close by ... you can also try logging out while your dino is still alive and logging back in later and the /unstuck command might work the next time

nb. there is a 'cool down' period after using unstuck command which i think has increased since the last update ... maybe 10 mins now ...

i have my sandy bridge intel 2600k (k for unlocked processor) from 2011 in my 2nd pc running overclocked from 3.4ghz to 4.3ghz in the bios ... but i have not played isle evrima with it as i upgraded a few years ago to an amd 5900x cpu and nvidia rtx 2070 just before evrima beta came out in june 2020

and on the 2600k i use a cooler master hyper 212 evo (newer v2 version has since come out) with two fans in push and pull config for the cpu cooling (my pc case cooler master haf 912 plus has the side panel clearance for the hyper 212 evo tower cooler) - the stock intel cooler was not great for cooling the sandy bridge 2600k cpu while overclocking past 4ghz and would run too high cpu temp up to 90c

with 16GB of kingston ram ddr3 1333mhz overclocked to 1600mhz - they have heatspreaders so they run well with the overclocked 2600k ... asus p8z68-pro/gen3 motherboard

nb. sandy bridge (and ivy as well) prob the best overclocking cpu ever ... just check the cpu temp using something like free gpu-z util and free cpu-z util for info

amd 5500 xt comes in 2 variants - 4GB and 8GB vram

are you running the latest microsoft windows version?

• you can check what version of windows you are running by running/typing winver.exe from the windows start/search (Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R"))

• windows 10 latest version is 22H2 which will be its last version before end of life according to microsoft ... there will still be windows updates support for windows 10 until Oct 14 2025 (extended security updates support after that for a price) - but that will be the last windows 10 version - 22H2

(also if your windows 10 is stuck on an older windows 10 version such as 21H2 it might not offer updates anymore as i believe update support for 21H2 finished June 11 2024 ... in that case users can do what is called an in-place upgrade using the latest windows 10 iso from microsoft website - nb. always back up your data)

• windows 11 is currently 23H2 (there is also 24H2 available but depends on your hardware if windows automatically offers it to you)

run dxdiag.exe from the windows start/search ... there will be a display tab for each graphics card/gpu installed in your pc/laptop - select a display tab ... on the right hand side look for where it says feature levels ... check if it supports 12_1 (minimum now i think), 12_0 (was the minimum) and not just 11_1, 11_0, 10_1, 10_0, 9_3, 9_2, 9_1, 9_0 etc ... you can also see what graphics driver version/date you are running just above it.

right click taskbar - task manager - click performance tab - scroll down on the left side to GPU - how many GPU's listed? click on GPU 0 and you can see the driver version/date/directx version/maximum directx level supported ... same for GPU 1 if you have more than one graphics adapter / gpu - eg. a discrete/dedicated graphics card and an onboard integrated graphics chip built into the cpu

you can type /unstuck in the in game chat might work or you can tag the @ official server admin role in the official server channel for the official server you are stuck in and mention your in game name and hopefully someone is available to help

nb. if the /unstuck doesn't work it could be because other players are close by ... you can also try logging out while your dino is still alive and logging back in later and the /unstuck command might work the next time

nb. there is a 'cool down' period after using unstuck command which i think has increased since the last update ... maybe 10 mins now ...

Hi, yes still an issue. I have a RTX 3070 and yes it supports 12_1. I have also triple checked over the last few hours that all drivers are up to date and that windows is all up to date. Ok so the game actually loaded up on my third attempt to try get you some log information (because I really don't know what I'm looking at here in the event viewer). Closed it and just tried to open it again, fatal error. So not sure what happened there. Just tried 3 more times just incase for some reason the games loading now, they all failed.

In system - all it talks about is anti cheat unloading/installing successfully. I can't see much happening in application, just occasionally my anti virus doing stuff but the timing doesn't seem to align for when I launch the game. Most of the time its just saying - Updated Norton 360 status successfully to SECURITY_PRODUCT_STATE_ON.

In the Saved\Logs theres just random folder names with the times of the launch but no files inside of them.

i use GIMP and notice it uses the libstdc++-6.dll, libgcc_s_seh-1.dll and others from that c++ suite as part of its library in the C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\bin folder (default 64 bit install location) which when you install GIMP version 2 (latest) it will register the latest version of the dll's in its package but no idea if this would resolve the issue

• check windows is up to date including optional updates (windows 11 often has driver updates under the optional updates) and ensure you are running the latest graphics driver

what is actually the cpu model and graphics card/gpu you have? and the graphics driver version your windows is using? graphics driver may need updating if your hardware is sufficient to run isle evrima

• to check what graphics card/gpu is identified/installed in your pc/laptop and windows:

run dxdiag.exe from the windows start/search ... there will be a display tab for each graphics card/gpu installed in your pc/laptop - select a display tab ... on the right hand side look for where it says feature levels ... check if it supports 12_1 (minimum now i think), 12_0 (was the minimum) and not just 11_1, 11_0, 10_1, 10_0, 9_3, 9_2, 9_1, 9_0 etc ... you can also see what graphics driver version/date you are running just above it.

or

right click taskbar - task manager - click performance tab - scroll down on the left side to GPU - how many GPU's listed? click on GPU 0 and you can see the driver version/date/directx version/maximum directx level supported ... same for GPU 1 if you have more than one graphics adapter / gpu - eg. a discrete/dedicated graphics card and an onboard integrated graphics chip built into the cpu

yes. its relatable with Dlss, if set to igual or lower than Quality it will flick
if disabled or set to Dlaa it will not flick

if your pc cannot handle without dlss like mine, I recommend the "lossless scaling" set the game FPS where your pc can handle, Mine get around 40-50 fps, so I limited to 30 in game, and set the "lossless scaling" to 3x fps, so I play with 30 fps (in game), but my refresh rate is 90
