good news: new headset fixed directional sound being lost when joining a Discord call during gameplay. Needed a headset with a built-in microphone, without it the old ones were using one of the outputs as an input (as i understand it) and that disabled the "stereo"

bad news: new headset is causing major and near-constant audio stuttering when in a Discord call during gameplay. outside of that scenario, it works fine. regular gameplay is great, joining a call when playing other games doesn't see this issue either.

I have been asking for a couple days now with nobody having a solution but here I go again, hoping that maybe now someone does know what to do:

I have an almost constant audio stutter while playing evrima. The sound is lagged and glitched which makes playing this game really unenjoyable as the stuttering sound is really straining to listen to and makes being aware of your surroundings practically impossible.

Here is what I've noticed:

• This happens whenever there is a louder sound like rain; dino calls; water being disrupted or when underwater; waterfalls; or when playing with music.
• The sound glitches, lags and stutters
• Sound on Title Screen and Menu are normal and aren't affected by this

Here is what I've tried to no avail:

• Clearing Cache
• Play on different graphic settings in case it is a performance issue (Nothing changed)
• Restarting the Game and my PC
• Try different Servers

A crash followed by a restart can evoke a driver issue. Try to update your GPU drivers and if they're already up-to-date, uninstall them and reinstall them. For uninstalling your drivers you can use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). If you have an AMD GPU, they have a driver cleaning tool.

The game loads the anti cheat, then "initializing", after that "Waiting for the game" then nothing happens, the game just crashes, with the infamous error "Another instance of the game is running". 😂😂😂Wtf are you saying, its a game first of all, second bird that fly 2 mins is not ok. In real life, if you do such smart comparisons, birds fly longer. In real life utah could run longer. But my point was about time you regen, and time you spent runing. I dont know why your brain cant process info from 1st time, but its game, and i pay money not for sitting in the bush. The way it worked in previous map was ok. They just **ed up transition. If i fly 2 minutes and then wait 15 minutes to get 100% on cliff it must be fixed. And the comment you fly up you instantly lose alot, about 15-25%

Hello, so I installed legacy while also keeping a backup of the evrima folder. I would just change the name of the folder to "the Isle" depending on which one I wanted to play. But when I came back to play evrima, I started getting really bad rubberbanding even with low ping. So, i uninstalled on steam and deleted both folders and re-installed Evrima but I am still getting really bad rubberbanding. Not sure what more to do to fix this.

Any ideas as of why I can hear my ingame options when I hover over them but its just black? this is on startup. The Steam subsystem failure is normally just a difficulty to connect to Steam and therefore you just wouldn't be able to see servers, so I'm not sure that's linked but perhaps? Have you tried this fix for the Steam subsystem failure?
Type cmd in the Windows search bar, right-click on command prompt, choose ”run as an administrator”.
Type netsh winsock reset, press enter, close the command prompt and restart your computer.

To get faster in a server if you don't want to wait in queue, just keep trying to get in servers that aren't 100/100. You'll get the "the server is full" message twice or thrice and then you'll get in. I never spend more than 2-3 minutes trying to get in a server.

Give them your username and the exact server you are on.
Log out and come back online when an admin tells you to, as not to die from starvation or thirst.

Are your GPU drivers and Windows up to date? Technically the MX150 should be able to run the game, the performance will not be great at all though - you only have 2GB dedicated VRAM with that card.

I am unsure. :/ There aren't many games yet that use UE5 with DX12-only features so that can be a reason why your other games are doing fine and not The Isle. For me it's always worked without any issues, but I have a rather recent PC that I built myself with a completely clean and up-to-date Windows, no conflicting drivers or software, etc. It can also be linked to your monitor, I know that sometimes a specific refresh rates can cause issues with games, etc. So really, I don't know why it does that black screen thing for you, especially suddenly out of nowhere. I'm not much knowledgeable sadly, I just try to compile fixes that I know work. ><
