plus, while doing alt attacks you cannot run, so it's good to leave it to MANUAL instead of AUTOMATIC

I've now had two crashes today that have knocked my comp all the way out, and I have NO idea why. One was this morning, after lots of issues with the game crashing, and the other was after several hours playing just fine, switched servers after a death, then full crash and power down. Only real warning I get is FPS tanks to about 15fps just before it happens. Only started after I joined Gateway test.

Running with a AMD Ryzen 7 3800X and a Geforce RTX 2080Ti, which never had issues previously. Internet connection is fine, etc etc.

For your graphics driver: right-click on your task bar > Task manager > Performance > GPU. Scroll the pannel down until you see "driver version:". Screenshot that.

No, it's a common GPU crash on UE5 projects using DX12-only features.

Yeah, that can help indeed, as well as updating the BIOS. They're the most inconvenient fixes, but so far I'd say they're also the most effective ones.

There are several factors. Not all systems are affected by the DX12/UE5 GPU crashes. As far as I know, it's due to a problem with rendering. So by removing load on the GPU (by disabling Ray-Tracing, capping the FPS, etc.) you can help it not to crash. But that's more of a workaround than an actual fix. I suppose reinstalling Windows and/or updating the BIOS brings more stabilisation to the GPU, or something. I really don't know much more, I just know that all of these potential fixes can help but it depends on the system. They don't react the same at all to that DX12/UE crash issue.

Hello, I hope this is the right place to ask for help with this.
After checking videos, streams and screenshots of the recent Gateway build/s, I'm pretty sure my underwater nightvision is bugged. This is what it looks like for me, both on deino and beipi, though this effect seems much stronger on deino. Geometry/polygons are extremely visible on everything, it looks awful and this can't be right.

I have everything on epic, lumen is enabled and on high, though it looks the same no matter how much I play around with settings. My GPU is RX 6800 XT.
Let me know if you need more info like other specs, etc.

Hello, I’ve been having this really annoying issue with Ervima since I started playing, whenever I join a server I will usually crash and my game will freeze around 5m after I join, sometimes when creating a Dino, I’ve looked online and tried everything but nothing seems to work. I have an rtx 4070 and 32g of ram. It shouldn’t be crashing as often as it is, every other game on steam runs well. If anyone has a solution that could fix this please let me know, it’s been basically impossible to grow a Dino.

Hey, I've had that error, you need to fully shut down Steam and restart it, check your task manager, you might see way too many webclienthelpers running at once. Make sure anything Steam related is down before you start it back up. If that doesn't work, restart your system.

hi all i have played enrivma and gateway. had many issues most all sorted out. only after a ram failing. had problems again solved that. and wanted to go on gateway again. only now cant launch it at all. and have looked allot on what it can be tried the troubleshooting and all but so far no succes. keep launching and just closes straight away or after few seconds.

Depends on if you are inside a rock and you can move inside it freely or not. If you are stuck in between rocks then spam anything in every direction. But if you are stuck inside rock where you can freely move then go outside by doing some attack, preferably the attack that moves you, so try different attacks and you might get out

Looks like Quadro 6000 stopped at around the 375 branch, with the last release being a 375LTS update in 2018...

Just ordered a GTX 1060... fairly cheap now.... I was exspecting to be above 500euros, I picked one up for 190 new from Amazon.... Thanks for the help guys.... much appreciated...

Am i miss understanding you? I thought you was(not very respectfuly) confused about ppl having the issue of dx12 errors and general issues that would need a config wipe but now im confused because your answer seems to mean something different.

What i mean by windows drivers btw is that windows has a set of drivers and programs it installs with windows for basic functions like usb, audio, hid, and usually dx runtime and c++ runtime(although these might be installed by the game and not widnows itself but there are other programs iirc). Also some people really dont know there is a thing called drivers to they just dont know because windows covers their ass with all their basic drivers for display adapters and so on. And what i mean by people not knowing about game engine update is because that added a lot of issues with people having a out dated config because they dont know about it , there is ofc also the case that people dont even know about windows local/appdata/config folders as its hidden by default and many dont care about computers enough to know about to know it, a bit like how many dont care about a car to fix it themselves and just sends it into the repair shop at small issues.

I would personally not recommend driver update tools. If updating the graphics drivers from the right apps (Geforce Experience and AMD Adrenaline) and updating DirectX through Windows updates works, why bother with a third party software? Why are you even arguing about that, anyway?

This is for Gateway: I played a few days ago and everything was fine but now I'm stuttering and rubberbanding really bad. My audio is super choppy now as well. Ping's in the 30's-40's and FPS is, on average when it isn’t all over the place, in the 50-70's when I'm usually in the 90's but even when I was in the 40's I never stuttered so bad to the point the game is unplayable like it is now. The only thing I changed last time I was on was from fullscreen to windowed. When I got on today, I noticed the issues and changed it back to fullscreen but they still persisted even after a full game and steam reset plus reinstall. Anyone else having these issues or any advice?

I’ve been having trouble with the rubber banding as well as several other people I know of. As far as I know it’s a known issue they are working on with gateway but putting in a bug report wouldn’t hurt.

I know a lot of people including me with this issue. The only thing we can do is put in a bug report and wait for a fix. I did find that if I can play on a server that is half full I don’t get the crashing. Not sure if it’s the same for everyone else.

I think renaming channels to tech support might be a bit more obvious that this is not a place; cause troubleshooting, well sounds like a place where you just solve all in game problems so why not unstucking too? I mean people obviously won't read some small text that is just grey and half visible on top of discord. Also I think you could make a bot that will detect words like "stuck" and will delete message and give msg only visible to a user where they should ask for help in unstuck
