That's the legacy version. You can find some fixes in #🔧-legacy-troubleshooting-🔧, or you can update to the new version of the game. Right click The Isle in your Steam library, click Properties, click Betas, click the drop-down bar and select evrima. Steam will start downloading the new version

Yea, a graphics card is something you install, but you'll have to be sure it's compatible with your PC. It'll be much harder on a laptop

Size is the biggest issue, then, there's GPUs that are specifically made for laptops. I'd try searching for your laptop online, and seeing if you can find any forums of people discussing upgrades.

You could also find the other components of your pc (motherboard, CPU, RAM) and find a pc builder website to check for compatible pieces that way. I really like PC part picker for this, you can check every part of a PC for compatibility issues https://pcpartpicker.com/list/

That pops up because it thinks you're running the game in dx12 when you shouldn't. You don't have either of those command line arguments, and forcing the game to run in dx11 will just cause another fatal error on startup

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

Fading textures like that could be caused by you running out of RAM/Memory on your card.

If that's the case try lowering the texture quality one step and restart the game.

As I recall the GTX 1660 only came as a 6GB card, no 12GB version was ever made, 6GB is low by the texture standards that the UE5 engines is made for.
So I would suggest you try lowering the Texture quality by a step or two, restart the game and see if the issue persists.

System memory (that's the RAM sticks that's on your motherboard) is different/separate from the memory (VRAM) that integrated onto your graphics card.

Game textures mainly use the VRAM aka the memory that's integrated onto your graphics card.
The bland/faded/blurry/flat textures happen when the game want to use more than your card has.
See if it comes back after a while of playing, might not happen if you stay in the same general area of the map as it won't load parts of the map you have not yet seen but if you move across the island you might see the issue come back as the game has to load more stuff.

If you look in the 'Memory' box you'll see it says 6GB of GDDR5 on a 192 Bit bus.

I’ve been trying to play the isle since I bought the game like a year ago. I’ve spent 5+ on the game but none of which was I actually playing the game. It was all the time spent over this year trying to fix the game so I can actually play it. So I no longer have the easy anti cheat issue

But now I have the issue of not being able to load into online

As for the game instances issue, I'd try verifying the game files. Right click the game in Steam, click Properties, click Installed files, click Verify integrity
