This is an occasional bug that can happen. not too sure on the details on what causes it. but both players relogging seems to fix it most of the time

I know for a fact to reduce lag is to turn Anti-Analyising to LOW as well as render scale 80 or below. Lower to increase the frame rate. As well common knowledge just turn graphics down :3

And I know that when people are in the area carrying a piece of meat or a body, it can glitch out and rubber band.. causing insane lag no matter what GPU u have.

You will have to manually uninstall “The Isle” from Steam. This issue is typically caused when someone switches from the Legacy to the EVRIMA branch.
Open “Steam”
Right Click The Isle
Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files
Delete everything inside of The Isle’s folder.
Then

• Press Windows key.

• Type "Run" to launch Run program.

• Type in "%localappdata% and click 'Ok'.

• Search for TheIsle folder.

• Delete the TheIsle folder once it has been located.

I’m going to guess that’s what’s causing some of your issues then. Pretty sure that doesn’t meet legacy requirements, let alone what Evrima’s will be. Do you have a laptop by any chance with a second gpu as that may just be the integrated and not dedicated one.

That’s a bit better, still under recommended. Personal guess if the other fixes did not work would be your graphics card is having a hard time running the Evrima and is crashing, which would be a cause of the error you’re getting. Only fix for that would be upgrading your graphics card.

You might be able to run it if you restart your system and just run the isle

yeah base isle legacy runs completely fine, ive tested it before. Its a shame tho cause i can run green hell and other high graphics games on this laptop just fine but evrima is a no go for whatever reason.

It’s a very intensive game. I have an above average GPU and sometimes struggle with 60 fps. UE5 may solve some issues and optimization is always a priority.

Yes, pretty normal for a low-end rig like this, however just upgrading your RAM could help, my sibling gained 10-20 fps like that. With a GTX 1650 and a Ryzen 5 3400G, from 8 GB 2666 mhz to 2x 8 GB 3200 mhz.

If you are experiencing issues with your controls and graphic settings since the latest update (can't move camera, unable to court, Night Vision not working , graphic settings not showing properly , etc) then please try wiping your config files in localappdata.

Give them your username and the exact server you are on.
Log out and come back online when an admin tells you to, as not to die from starvation or thirst.

Ive had some trouble since up6. My pc is able to run the isle on 60-70 fps with high settings. it always have been. but yea since up6 my ping is high on every single server i join. It was said it would be fixed and after a while i did for many. just not for me. this happens on official and unofficial servers. the ping caps at 510 and usually stay there a long time. the video is not nessecary to watch tho it shows me fighting against my friend utah vs carno with this ping. Does it have anything to do with my drivers or smth? all i dont have wich might be needed is an ethernet connection. also its worth noting that theres certain times of the day where i can run decent ping. it also runs pretty smooth for the first few hours if i switched to legacy and then back to evrima (requiring i fully redownload both)

hm, if you tried all of those fixes, try doing this:
(If you have any Questions feel free to ask)

1. go to "C: -> Programs(x86) -> EasyAntiCheat_EOS" and delete the EasyAntiCheat_EOS.sys file.
   If you don't see the ending .sys, it's just the file which doesn't have the blue bear as a symbol
   (see first picture)

2. For the second step do this:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• Delete the "EasyAntiCheat"-folder

3. Then verify your game files over steam:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Veify integrity of game files

4. After that, you go back to the game folder and use the batch files, it's like in the fixes you already tried:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files
• double click these two files, in the order of picture 2. A terminal might pop up for a second, but else nothing visible will happen.
  And again, it doesn't matter if you see the .bat

5.) Now see if that fixed it

Try deleting your Config, that resets all your graphic settings and your custom keybinds.
I'd recommand taking a screenshot of your Settings before doing that, so you can restore them if something changes.

1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.

Do you have an Anti-Virus Program ? If you do, make sure it's not blocking the game.
You should be able to add an exclusion for the "The Isle" steam game folder
(I mean the folder under:

• Right Click The Isle in your steam library
• Select Properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files)

Am using Windows 11 and have gone over the you tube help videos, have my file explorer set to show hidden files, I keep seeing "delete the save folder" in these help videos, well there is no "save" folder. Looked for months for this. All I had done was reconfigured my gaming mouse to use one of it's buttons for the sprint and am told because of this my night vision will not work. It isn't even listed in controls under settings, should be the letter X correct? Anyway have been going over this for months now and get to this "delete save folder" part and cannot find this save folder in TheIsle folder.

For those with that "Easy Anti-Cheat is not installed" issue, there are some steps you can do to solve it

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle"

there is a file called InstallAntiCheat.bat, just run it and try running the game again.

Should send you here: steamapps\common\The Isle

Delete EasyAntiCheat folder.
Then Verify intergrity of game files.

After this the game should download an insignificant small amount of files.

You can contact the official server admins to report a hacker, but you can't get your dino back, at least not on official servers.

If you die to a hacker you can report by saying "@ officialserveramin hacking XYZ on NAX I have video proof" As for the regrow, Do not quote me as im not 100% certain, but i do believe as of recently if you have video proof of you dying to a hacker, admins are allowed to offer regrows. Also, Make sure to ping the admins in #evrima-na or #evrima-eu . Whichever makes the most sense for your situation.

hm, try deleting your Config, that resets all your graphic settings and your custom keybinds.
I'd recommand taking a screenshot of your Settings before doing that, so you can restore them if something changes.

1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.
2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")
3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4.) Find the TheIsle folder. Open it.
5.) Open the Saved folder
6.) Delete the Config folder

If that doesn't help, you could try deleting the Saved Folder from step 5.)
That will however also delete all your skins!

Increase the render distance in the settings.

Make sure you verify your files, that might help. I deleted my config a while back and since then disconnections have been rare, so if you want to try that go for it. other than, you might have to wait for someone who knows more if neither of those help

you can try changing all of the "on settings to off" to see if that helps. Also make sure you dont have another program on your computer (such as AMD Adrenaline software) that is trying to increase your performance. That may also make it blurry. Also mess around with the anti-aliasing method, see if changing it helps.

That, is a godfish. They're a glitch that can occur from time to time. If you see a fish outta the water, you wont be able to kill it. so it's best to just try to move away. if you cant move away, the free gator will have to swim around and try to see where the fish "really is" (think of that fish as a optical illusion with a hitbox)

Ah, I had an issue recently with ark where doing certain things (as simple as opening my inventory) would make my storage usage 100%. The issue turned out to be a faulty usb port or cable. 1.) If running The Isle, exit the game.
2.) Press the windows key (or press "Windows key" + "R")
3.) Type %localappdata% then press Enter. (make sure you're really in Appdata -> local, and not in Appdata -> Roaming!)
4.) Find the TheIsle folder. Open it.
5.) Open the Saved folder, and go into the Config folder.
6.) Open the WindowsClient folder.
7.) Delete the Input.ini file (for you it might be called Input)
8.) Restart the game.

Here should be the fix
Steam Subsystem Failure
Step 1 go into the folders to: Steam >Steamapps> common>The Isle> TheIsle > Binaries > Win64

Step 2: In the folder you're now in (Win64) you should see a file called TheIsleClient-Win64-Shipping. If you do, then you're in the right place. In this folder, create a text file named steam_appid. (A normal .txt file)

Step 3: open up your new steam_appid text file that you just created and add 376210 to the file. Just the numbers, nothing else. that is The Isle's Steam App ID

Step 4: Check and see if the game starts properly and you should be set with no more steam subs system error message and can play normally

Hey everyone. Ive been trying to connect to servers for a bit now. Every time I attempt to join any server, both official and unofficial, I get a message that reads:

"Connection Failed
Your connection to the host has been lost".

I have good internet right now and am able to play other online games without issue. The servers I'm trying to join have a low ping. Don't really know how to fix it and any help would be appreciated

You should be able to add an exclusion for the "The Isle" steam game folder
(I mean the folder under:

there is a file called InstallAntiCheat.bat, just run it and try running the game again.

So I do not have an active anti-virus program, so there shouldn't be any issue there. Additionally, I followed the instructions you linked to add an exception to my firewall. Unfortunately I'm still having trouble connecting. I've updated my graphics drivers, flushed my dns, did a netsh winsock reset (whatever that is), ran the game as admin, ensured The Isle had proper firewall permissions, un- and then reinstalled the game, turned my computer on and off again. I'm just kind of at a loss of what to do now 😅

When I launch the game my mouse cursor is about an inch away from where it thinks it is, therefore I can try to change the resolution or windowed mode of the game but the cursor cannot reach the "apply" button. Arrow keys do not control the UI so I can't use them to select it. Help???

Give them your username and the exact server you are on.

Hmmm, not sure of any other fixes. Fatal error line 161 is usually what happens when your graphics card or OS is outdated. You may have to manually reinstall them to get it working. Otherwise, feel free to ping techsupport with your original issue and they can help you from there

So, I've been having trouble playing The Isle for a bit now. Basically, whenever I try to join any server, there will be like a single frame of loading screen before I'm kicked back to the main menu with an error message that says "Connection failed. Your connection to the host has been lost". The servers I'm trying to join have low ping, and my internet is otherwise very good (I'm able to play my other online games without issue). I've tried turning my computer on and off, restarting the game, reinstalling the game, adding exceptions to my firewall, and I made sure an antivirus software wouldn't be blocking it. I've also looked around for other misc. fixes recommended online like updating drivers and running the game as admin to no avail. Just don't know what to do now.

Additionally, and idk if this is relevant, but I tried to see if I could play on the Isle Legacy servers, and the exact same thing happens. I attempt to join a server, see a split second of loading screen, before being sent back to the main menu with a virtually identical error message.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated

The server browser is not 100% accurate. if you get a message saying its full, the server is probably full

i could be misunderstanding whats going on, but try joining a server where the browser says there less than 50 people. The browser is not 100% accurate and will show there 90 or so people when the server is actually full. if you still cant get into the server when joining one with lower pop, then i dont know what the issue could be, and hopefully someone else will be able to help you

i had that bug for a little while, so unless someone else knows a guaranteed fix, I deleted my Config and havent DCed much since.

1. If running The Isle, exit the game.
2. Press the Windows key
3. Type %localappdata% then press Enter.
4. Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5. Open the "Saved" folder.
6. Delete the "Config" folder. Note: This will reset any of your custom settings to their defaults.
7. Restart the game. The issues should be fixed.

do you know how it was fixed? have verified my wifi isnt the issue, have verified local files, have reinstalled steam and the isle many times, have reinstalled the anticheat many times for a separate bug

Hold ALT too look around and THEN right click. thats how you dodge left and right. The dodge will always take you the way the camera is facing

This sounds like you're a deino. if you are indeed a deino, its a normal glitch that happens from time to time. Relogging tends to fix the issue

hi, my friend has a problem with launching evrima. when the anticheat window loads, the game doesnt open. it displays a completely black screen, which closes a few seconds after. did anyone have a similar issue or know how to solve it?

My friend cant even launch the game in evrima. It freezes on the splash screen with the raptor in the logo. But it says on steam its running. He has tried reinstalling, and switching from legacy to evrima and back. He's also tried to install it with his anti virus disabled in case the AV conflicted with easy anti cheat. He could play it a week ago, then it just stopped working. Any idea what could be the problem?

If you are experiencing the issue with the splash screen loading error, try the following fixes.

1. -Open “Steam”
   Right Click The Isle
   Select Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files>\Engine\Binaries\ThirdParty\ > Find OpenXR and delete the folder

2. Using the provided message link, perform all of the standard EasyAntiCheat fixes:

4.) Find "TheIsle" folder. Open it.
5.) Open the "Saved" folder, and go into the Config folder.
6.) Open the WindowsClient folder.
7.) Open the "GameUserSettings.ini" (for you it might just be "GameUserSettings")
8.) Scroll to the end, and add this:

9.) save the change and open the game, now see if it's fixed

hey hey, im experiencing some terrible lagging / ping issues on my behalf. please redirect me to #general-feedback-discussion if that's more suitable for this topic.
i normally have around 100 ping tops, and being from australia, we have pretty bad ping, or from my own experience. and it causes me terrible lag around bodies and combat.
here are my settings, i was wondering if there could be anything that would benefit me, in terms of settings or gameplay.
i also use NVIDIA, would appreciate any advice💕

my internet connection is decent and working while im playing the game. however our wifi cuts out alot. it also could be because the game itself eats alot of ram. or is overall a large game. which results in my pc working overtime whenever im opening games that require high RAM. i've been recently looking at a new pc, because mine is outdated and doesnt contain alot of ram / bites.

i would say putting your shadows to a lower config. the most important setting on the isle it's the antialising, if it's not on max then the game looks horrible

you can also try to delete the config file to reset the settings and clear any issues that may or may not be causing lag

oh and certain places around the map have lag spikes, specially if there's players there killing everything
