thats not what a ghost server is lol, but yes sometimes the servers crash and if youre in them you can stay in them. Sucks when it happens but then yes, US3 is down. Those in US3 can stay but once you log out thats it

Its a server that appears to be on but doesn't actually function. One you can appear to play in, but wont save your growth. It's there, and semi playable, but not real. Thats a ghost server imo. 🤷‍♂️

a ghost server is when there is 2 servers with the same name. One is the actual server that saves progress, ones a server that is well, what you described. But it showing 0/0 -1000 ping just means the server crashed and isnt joinable anymore

There doesn't always have to be 2 servers for one to be considered a ghost server.

A server is considered ghost or zombie if it is physically running, but not functioning.

Its not saving, which means not functioning. I played on it earlier as well, and lost all the progress playing in there. 🫡

Queue system is currently broken, the only way to join a server is when it says 114/115 or less, to attempt to connect. And if it says data acquisition failed, refresh and then attempt again and again over and over and over and over

The server issues are due to the company that are hosting the servers. Per a server admin, they have notified/sent word to this company to get more information on why the servers aren't resetting.

no. Besides an influx of players and the devs testing a load balancer im not sure what would have caused this. Servers also havnt been restarting and are super messy. My guess is that in terms of quailty the servers they are paying for arent the best. I also think that the devs themselves do not know how to operate these servers well.

Unofficals are the best for learning. If you start on officials, you'll have mixpackers and cheaters to deal with. Metta's Den is a good one and I know several like Petite Pieds. But if you dont care about playstyles, jumping into any official server is your best start. You will also have a spawn code for the first few moments you spawn in that you can give to your friend so you spawn in near each other.

well, when the servers finally reset One of you will have your progress saved, the other will wonder why you dont have a dino. One of you is on a ghost server.

You can keep closing game out and restarting until you log into the server your buddy is in. Check player counts to help confirm you're in the right one
