Evrima ideas
We have a heavy detailed day of life per creature, from eating different proteins, vomiting because you ate to much or spoiled food, we need to drink, we die and have our guts teared out, you name it and it's great but we mis 1 important thing.
Poop & pee
And I think you would probably laugh or think wtf, but hear me out.
Creatures are so realistic that you guys have to add poop & pee.
PEE
Pee would be a great way for creatures to mark their territory, this is a new gameplay mode where people are able to claim their territorys. With smelling around you will see this territory, getting a territory means that you need to mark a certain amount of points, these points connect and form you territory.
Depends how big your creature is how many points you need to get. So for example for a cereto to claim highland lake it needs to pee on at least 6 points and you may decide where to pee, they connect automatically. They need to be in a circle shape of course so the game knows it's a territory. Like the picture. You see here it peed on 8 spots to cover a better area.
Now there are a couple of abilities that can be added in this game mode.
- When your the territory owner you can smell within the territory and see how many players are in it. Nothing more just the count of players. Maybe you can add what kind of creatures and how many but I think that would be unrealistic.
- The pee points will fade and they fade fast in the rain. So in the rain you need to go around 1 time to get fresh points.
If it doesn't rain it go's way slower but 1 time in 3 days points go down 50%. So you want to go around a freshen them up.
- You can be challenged by others to take over your territory. When they do (maybe with a challenging display) and you get into a fight the territory will be yours when the territory owner go's outside of the territory.
- When you enter a territory and your not the owner, you can smell the peepoints when you walk up to a peepoint and smell again you will see on the map how big the territory (maybe even a indication to what peepoint the owner is closes) is and get information about the owner. Is he full health. How many battles did he won or how many kills he has. Maybe even what mutations he has.
Extra info about the territory will be going as owner out of the territory you will see a timer going down, if the timer go's down the territory will fade fast and will go away. You need to see what will be a reasonable time because it depends if your territory has water so you need to travel outside the territory to survive.
When pee gets added and you want to normally pee to empty your bladder you empty it fully. When you want to pee for territory you pee small amounts
All these things draw you out of your comfort zone and draw you out of your normal gameplay. It's more like a end game gameplay. This will draw attention of challengers or other preditors that will want to test their skills.
And you need to decide what creatures can claim Territory. I mean pteras probably don't, same go's for Hypsi, dryo, troodon and beipi. My opinion is they dont get the ability to be able to form a territory.
Stegos is also a creature where you want to ask yourself if it need a territory.
But tenonto and Diabloceratops are definitely creatures that need tis. And of course almost all carnivores
POO
Poo is a information transition.
Every creature needs to poo and like pee you can decide when you poo. Same as pee if you don't eventually the creature will do this on its own.
Pooping will leave a ID card behind with all information about your creature.
Age
Health
Mutations
Nutritions
Stomach and thirst amount
Battles won
Which location your going and where did you came from
Birth info
Everything.
You can smell poop and see it but it will be hard to see and you need to be close to it to see it.
So with this system you want to plan your poop to hide everything about yourself and the informations where you are.
