they will be able to do that but its not worth, they already told us that getting a weapon and ammo wont be easy work, using probably ur only bullet to kill a ptero which you are likely to miss that shot anyways its giving your spot to any dino of the island. They will hunt you, you will not even be able to notice they are behind a bush or already watching you and you will die loosing all the loot you have

idk how to explain this properly but i'm guessing the strains might also be how human and dino gameplay are motivated to interract.
for both its unnatural, and for all we know the strains could act like virusses spreading across both kinds of population on the islands.
Humans might wanna work to contain them and dinos wanna stay far away from their infected kind.
if humans catch the strain it infects them and turns them into reapers

Human endgame could be combatting outbreaks of strains, where there early and midgame could consist of scavenging/repairing/rebuilding

Several issues/other ways to fix it without it being a pain in the ah
-Servers don't always have an instant slot for you to get back in instantly.
-The players around you may not even be in the size range of your hunting capabilities.
-You could make it 5 minutes then, not a whole 30 minutes. Or hell, make it so theres a time difference between a safelog and an instant log.

30 minutes is just too much. I dont even think people would use this since they are not about to wait in an hourly queue just for a slight chance of someone being around you on a huge map with 100 players on it. By the time you log back in, they may even be gone.

But what about emptier servers? Well, I think you would have to travel even longer distances to find someone. If they haven't moved already...even if it was 5 minutes. Unless you are in a hotspot- which at that point. Why even log out if you are in a hotspot with people in it.

30 Minutes is just too much. Thats my outcome

A lot of this is explained by the fact that the devs have to account for the worst case scenario
So yeah, usually there's a queue, but they have to prepare for the possibility that there isn't

idk why it's 30 and not 5, but it's not my system
maybe it needs time to process too, but 30 mins is such a nice round number

There must be a balance between comfortability for the players and actual anti-griefing. 30 minutes is just not it if someone is trying to report a hacker they just died to, clip something funny/cool, or just.. I dont know.. taking screenshots or something.

'in lore' all of us signed a contract (the thousand life contract)
which is basically, irl, us buying and playing the game

Nothing much can be explained after this point
it is very blurry, and people had played up to 1000 lives (apparently) at the time of that old lore announcement in-game
although, we know of two individuals who had access to user inquiries (a terminal where they could ask "X" a question(s))
and one person, at least, who actually 'logged' into the game in lore

but, that time is from so so long ago and was very blurry

The lore is genuinely so interesting, like sure it’s got the pretty average, “Dinosaur park experiment didn’t work.” Trope, but the whole idea of Tartarus, the contract, the plot, and just everything else about the games lore, really does make it so much more compelling, and for a game that can be so easily overlooked as a simple dinosaur survival game, I like that.

It is more challenging to shoot, let alone see, a creature up in the insert height feet tall trees. That could be jumping around and getting into unreachable places. It would require a change in strategy and maybe even technology to contain this.

A more vicious Rex would merely be annoying for AE. Easier to track down and tranq or even kill it. Large target, loud, and yeah..

This is assuming things can even get that close to a base with those small fences. Realistically, those small electric fences aren't stopping much of the creatures on gateway. They aren't the bases main protection. They are there to protect the base from minimal danger probably. Any aggressive actual animals (AI) or creatures that can slip through the Hyper fences. Which are small. SPEAKING OF HYPER FENCES-

The Hyper fences are the bases main protection. Anything big isn't meant to go past it. So I don't think even a viscious Rex can break through a Hyper fence. Thus marking the Rex threat minimal unless theres an incident. Which at that point they can definitely contain the rex before it gets to a base. If.. all goes well... cough JP..BUT HERRERA, simply climbed around it. That is why we see AUGUSTUS somehow get to H4.

So no, I don't think a vicious Rex is more of a problem than Herrera pests climbing wherever they want to however they want to. While also being hard to contain.

The current fences are creating a perimeter around the map with the outposts being on the outside of this perimeter. Being protected from larger creatures such as Rex.
