You’re going to have to provide more than that. What’s the server Game.ini and what’s the console show prior to that. Garbage logs (garbage collector) means it’s running
Run save, wait a few seconds and then restart GRACEFULLY

Yeah don’t bother, server is too janky. Use it in the start argument and then post your whole console log once you see a garbage logs. Remove whatever sensitive data you don’t want to share
Only argument the start needs is map (which I think is just for good measure), query port, EOS key, log arg

No login needed, just need to copy them from a machine that has steam installed on it
after you do that, restart it and if still not working paste all of your console output into pastebin and remove whatever info you don't want to send

We are a few large servers that has poked out about this entire server hosting experience. He has responded back to us positively, so hopefully it's on the agenda.
It's not very optimal you gotta install the game to host the server 😌 - it's also why when I wrote the thing above it's like... It sounds stupid, but even with binaries, steam, port forwarding etc everything done.

When I had my server 2022 running it I did have to install steam and install the game before it would let me run the server. Some dependency that isn’t included with just the server install from steam cmd.

you have to safe log out before moving the file and obviously not be logged in when copying that file back
you dont have to but generally they're going to have better hardware options than what you're gunna run at home unless you've got some cash to waste

Assuming for evrima, an RCON script could do this.
You must either code it yourself or use something like Evirma Manager that has automatic announcements

I would assume the timer when used uses the same scheme of offset from UTC time
I have tried to start a new Evrima server via SteamCMD. I am running it on its own machine on the LAN.
I have the server name set to "Plotter Evrima Server" and the Map set to Gateway.
However whenn the server starts, the name comes out as IsleServer and the map is Isla_Spiro. I am not sure what might be wrong.
Can anyone maybe shed some light on what I might have wrong?

lol yeah I think there's something wrong with the current release from steamcmd but I might be wrong. doing some final testing for the management tool I'm making and it's spamming the crap out of invalid URL error loops on a fresh install

I did do a fresh install, actually two fresh installs in different directories. Both are doing the same thing.
The folders were completely empty and I ran the .bat file above. I then added in a fresh copy and paste of the game.ini from https://github.com/ksduster/The-Isle-Evrima-ini/blob/main/Game.ini
and made the server name changes. It is starting and I am getting the session started successfully message, but it is not displaying the correct name or map. It is so odd.
I can log in to it, and I see the server window start to scroll when I attempt to log in, butit will not show any dinos to select or let me start the game from the game launch window.
The .bat file will keep spamming a error unless I add the "/Game/TheIsle/Maps/Game/Gateway/Gateway" to the .bat file. After I add that it will complete the startup, but as I stated, it doesnt load the correct name or map.

In order to run a Isle Evrimaserver on win22 you can try to download Steam and The isle (Client) on the Server ( Dont forget to make it as Evrima not Legacy )
This Step is only needed if its not working. First try the other Steps
In your Game CLIENT ( N:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Isle\EasyAntiCheat) you can find Easy Anticheat. Run the Setup to install Easy Anticheat. This fix mostly the Connection Issue.
In the Following Link/Rar File you will find my Saved File for the INI Files TheIsle\Saved\Config\WindowsServer
Also you will find my Start.bat wich Update and Start the Server.
For Virtual Windows 2022 Servers, i added the r2m02.crl That is the Amazon certificate that fixes some Internet Issues.

Hello, I have several questions to ask, I don't know if this is where I can ask them but I'll try my luck.
First of all, I would like to know if on Evrima, there is a command for stamina, knowing that everything goes through the admin panel and not the chat commands.
Then, I have a small problem on my server. Here is what I put in my Game.ini:
bUseRegionSpawning=true
bUseRegionSpawnCooldown=false
RegionSpawnCooldownTimeSeconds=30
However, when the player dies, a cooldown of 480 appears so that the player respawns where he was.
Do you have a solution to solve this problem?
region cool down seconds has to be the amount of seconds you are from UTC timezone (dont ask, no clue why)

Thank you, Brezz. I am really not sure what it was, but it is working now. I quit trying for a day, and did another wipe and reinstall (it was the fourth time). I set up the game and engine ini files, like before and changed the custom information like before and now it seems to be working. Thanks again for the offer to send the files.

Happen to know what the games base time decay is? We dont want it too quick. Just at max pop and it turns into a all out war. People dont eat corpses. Having to do a corps wipe in Rcon over and over is tiring.

Like something to control the intervals even at a higher server population. I have intervals set to 80 and density set to 3.
At a lower server pop having that intervals and density pays off. But once you reach max pop it gets kinda crazy

Coming here after a good 2hrs of troubleshooting a 1st time install of the Isle dedicated server.
I cannot, for the life of me, get a console window to appear after launching the exe. Is this some sort of known issue where I screwed up something simple? I've wiped out all the files and reinstalled a couple times at this point.
I can see "TheIsle" running in processes but i'm confident i'm supposed to see some sort of console/command window

for your router put the ports in your portforwarding and on the machine's firewall allow incoming and outgoing permissions

If you don’t mind the player save copy paste mechanic it’s pretty easy. Haven’t looked into memory manipulation since there’s no articles and I don’t have the time to reverse that to find it anytime soon. I think someone on here was saying they’re doing it so could always ask for the process send forward onto whoever you have coding for you
I remember that simply copying and pasting PLAYER SAVE in EVMA cannot achieve player storage, PLAYER SAVE has been encrypted, and simply copying and pasting will directly damage PLAYER SAVE
It definitely worked when I copy and pasted it, you have to be safe logged but it works

If you are only talking about storing one dinosaur, it can indeed be achieved, but if you try to store multiple dinosaurs, such as when you played TENO with your last dinosaur and want to retrieve CERA from your inventory, when you paste your previous CERA SAVE in, you will find that your CERA SAVE has been damaged
This is the version I tested a long time ago, of course, if the latest version can achieve what you said, it's good news
yeah again it's still as simple as copy pasta from one location to another when safe logged. you don't overwrite files you make backups from prior, save that in it's own folder and then copy over the one you want. or really any process you want to do. it's quite simple the only downside is the afe logging part

Idk if this is still an ongoing issue for you but I found that adding a port section with the modified ports (see below) to the bottom of the engine.ini file solved my issues. I also removed the ports from the batch/shortcut arguments:

The .bak from what I’ve seen is the not ever read from. When the primary file is corrupted then it’ll load the bak but if the balls corrupt as well it’ll loop letting to load those files like 5-8 times then generate a new file and start over

idk if it's worth mentioning but on idle on a server with 32Gb's of RAM it's using about 9GB's for the server. this'll obviously be different usage depending on how much RAM the system has but I wouldn't run the server on anything less than 16GB

you wont be able to host behind that then, you can contact your ISP to see if they're able to set you up on their end for a port forward but if they wont you're kinda screwed. Getting a VPS physically nearby that you can tunnel and route through isn't ideal and will generally add additional latency for everyone but that's also kinda an option
So I have to contact my ISP and tell them to give me my public IP and remove me from the CGNAT?
well they can handle it on their end in a few ways but ideally yeah they give you a routable public IP direct. They can also setup the gateway from them to you to basically assign an IP of theirs and DSTNAT to your router accordingly but yeah best situation is they give you a routable public

you'll still have to setup the port forward on your router to your server but yes that fixes the issue stopping you from opening it up to the world

our migration zone is stuck on seahorse island, and the patrol zone is stuck in south plains.
we have restarted the server a bunch, we have changed the times for them, and done basically everything except wipe the server entirely.

Hi everyone, I hope this is the right section for my question. I'm currently working on a gargen bot for Evrima and just can't get any further. I can't find any commands for the bot on the internet so that players can park their dinosaurs. The bot itself is working but without the codes I can't get any further. Does anyone know anything about it and would be so kind as to help? I've been racking my brains for days and no matter what I do it just won't work. It is a Rcon Bot. I would be very grateful if someone could help me. I assume that these bots are allowed as they can be found on many servers. If this is not the case please let me know as I do not want to get my players and myself into trouble.

There is no kill, grow, park or any type of comamnds like that. You're SOL for that. They do have a playerinfo command that spews out data on all players in the server though.
That's not right, there are enough servers that have exactly this in their Discord where they can park dinos in and out of players
These servers come up with their unique ways to make it happen. It's not built into the game.
I am aware of this, of course, but I cannot find anything on the Internet about how to do this.
It's because these servers use custom solutions to do so. Whether it's utilizing C++, Javascript or Python, they make the tools that do this.
It's not something you're going to find on a wiki or some random repo.

Timed out issue Fix:
1, this is a fix for winserver ,install the STEAM client on your server
2,Then directly use STEAM to install THE ISLE EVMA version
3,Then click on 'Run THE ISLE' (you will find a prompt next to the game launch button saying that STEAM is installing some of the required runtime libraries for THE ISLE, such as net3.5 and so on)
4,after a while u may get a Launch Error hint, Turn off this hint then just run your server and wait for ↓As follows↓ what appear in your server logs

That multiplier only increases the amount, not the frequency, there is no frequency setting, as far as I'm aware

No clue about the maximum, but 100x more plants seems a bit over the top, try 10 or 15 🤷♂️

Have there been/are there evrima unofficial servers that have successfully implemented a storage/parking bot that do NOT utilize a robot that sits in game & reads the screen and inputs commands via the admin panel?
I have a storage but it only works on server restart by replacing the saved dino.
yeah, the most user friendly way would be going and modifying the servers memory realtime and the slow non user friendly way is copying player save file after they safe log, you save the server then copy that save file to "storage"
So you can't just move/copy the exact save files and then replace the existing ones? How does it work exactly?
technically you are doing that, but the player has to safe log and servr needs to save to avoid player data corruption

Ah okay...I have been very close to getting it to work then anoyingly lol...as long as it works tho, it's fine I think...just as long as the user does it correctly...only issue is that I set up the save command to run the player data command and store the information of that dino so that there is some information for the user as to what the save slot is (if that makes sense)...so they have to safelog first before extracting the save files?

Even if you save server after safe log, if they keep playing and start a new dino and decide to do their old one. It will just say corrupted when trying to load it in.
Replacing the file with a safe logged works on a fresh server restart, but actively trying to load in new dinos after the server has already cached an existing one does not work.
I've gotten it to work without a restart no issues. you just have to do it in a very specific series of steps
it's really just not worth the hassle imo, but people want storage so do whatever works for you

My storage system works fine, but the issue is the server remembering the users previous stats then corruption upon loading in. I've done some insane testing with it already.
There has been certain instances where if you make the same dino then safe log, load dino in, and reconnect, sometimes it won't corrupt.
Then other times where that same process will just load your last dino in with it's previous growth. It's weird lol
I think the general consensus is the dedicatd server for the game is uhhhh... special

I am starting to think it isn't worth it as well...I might just make it so that the player only has 1 save slot that can be used when their dino dies. Trying to get the server to swap out saves just isn't working for me. The files always become corrupt no matter what I do.
Not possible using save files to transfer saves.

When you restore a save file, are you sending server save before or after the file is replaced? Also, I take it you are just downloading and uploading the file and are you deleting the old save files in the servers directory before uploading the new ones? AIO manager, download it, hit start, enter server info, and that’s it.
Scheduled RCON tasks and remote control are still on my to do list but the core functionality is there. It’s all described on the GitHub page
Also only windows for now, it’ll take me a little bit to make a console app for Linux to do the same thing. Eventually if the project is popular I’d just make a central management website (system) that can control whatever manager you add to it

RCON commands aren’t a thing yet but probably this weekend if I get a couple hours of free time it’ll be a thing. It does have auto restart but not an option on the UI yet since I won’t do restarts without sending the save command.
If you want to dev your own stuff just checkout the RCON documentation as to what you have to do to use it. I’m just using someone else’s library for the RCOn since there’s basically zero good commands besides announce, kick/ban, and save. Someone here was doing a heatmap, I don’t remember who it was though
Also if the server binary crashes, the manager had an option for auto restart you can enable/disable but the RCON stuff needs done before setting up the nightly restarts and what not

If you have issue with server crashing at 15 players and it's linux, it's an ongoing issue, we found switching to windows server resolves it.
The windows server is unfortunately slower then the linux one, but it has allpwed us to play.
(Conflict with linux vs epic sefver, devs are from what I was told aware.)

I am not really supporting that bot anymore. It requires a specific game panel called Pterodactyl and will not work without it.

shane and I have been working on the spawn timer for quite awhile now we matched it to utc which we have done and it is still giving us 300 plus min we have tried removing the timer completely still giving us the same issue is there anyone that could help us get this right it is really being a pain, I am very new to all the server stuff

its frustrating cause other steam servers run fine
ISSUE SOLVED: It didnt want to run The Isle at same time as Palworld was running.....not sure how to fix that, but was able to log in when i shutdown Palworld server
Fixed it by adding ?QueryPort 27016 to Isles start, so it didnt conflict with palworld query (steam defaults to 27015)

I don't think so. I just utilize the api for pteroactyl to send a save then shutdown to the server.

I did figure out why admins were not working it was a spelling error on your part and there was an issue where omniraptor was not turned on but I fixed that one as well.

o I think I see it, no Omniraptor code in the parse dyno class code
so in this file the AdminSteamIDs needs to be AdminsSteamIDs and omniraptor was missing

i believe those were the only issues i have found so far but if i see anymore ill let you know and one question if rex and trike come out do i just need to add the names like i did for the omniraptor in the same file?
dope, yeah unfortunately if the UI doesn't have it yet manually adding is the only work around for now. I should probably add a "add missing dyno" option. I guess fortunately that doesn't happen too often
just remember anytime you tweak the game server settings via manager it'll overwrite any changes in the Game.ini itself

This would be extremely helpful. As neither of the two seem to be the same setting. If I tweak something in the settings, it reformatted the whole game.ini

what do you mean reformatted it? it's quite a static code for saving the ini file. Also just worth noting you can always post the issues on the Github page
I had fixed it as had a save of my most recent game.ini....
But for instance,
The settings next to the game.ini have different variables within. Like I coded a x3 server. So game ini shows x3. But the settings show 1. I found just ignoring the settings tremendously helped. Lol
Any changes within the settings reformat my game.ini to default
So just best to avoid it

Because Evrima is not Legacy. It does not have an official query port. You have to use the rcon server info command.
