well there are a few reasons. I did have this theory they were going for a june 7th release. Thinking it was sweden their independence day is the 6th, so as a celebration, release it around that day.

But with it not sweden...i dunno...doesnt seem likely. The more likely answer is - yea, build hype - or get this stuff out there because the validation for sim ship will take longer. I cant remember if Mississippi was sim ship.

I most people think the next great one will be a moose, and I have another reason as to why it might be a moose. We all know there's 3 different mex levels in the game, 3, 5, and 9. Whitetail max level is level 3, red deer max level is 9, so that means it would make the mist sense to have an animal with a level 5 max level to be the next great one

I've seen a lot of requests/speculation here for Snow Geese on the forthcoming map. I really doubt they will be included as they are a North American species save for a tiny part of Siberia. Accidentals do occur (about 5 sightings per year) in Finland, but they certainly are not a hunted species there. I read about them yesterday from a finnish site and conclusion was that snow geese are very rare here. Those who do show up are usually just lost.

There’s like 3-4 other goose species they could easily add so it should be alright

I can see that to be the case and not too difficult to draw the lines for species. They have their preferred habitats anyway

I think the water fowl are going to be essentially like the ibex -- variant models that register as separate species, but are from a game engine/performance issues, essentially the same. A flock might be a random mix of ducks of various sorts, some perhaps more likely than others depending where on the map you happen to be

I am sure! I know TK was over hunting them. I am from Colorado, and have never seen one in the wild -- in CO they live in the eastern part of the state, not in the Rockies

Such as:
-Wouldnt really fit the game
-Its an extremely complicated mechanic and would need to be its own game
-no way they'd have made such a complicated mechanic and didnt tease it even a little bit

Fun Fact about beavers, They almost went extinct once, because back in the olden days in europe, they were considered fish, so that they could be eaten during Fasting, thats why they were very extensively hunted.

NGL, about fishing again, well, my relatives own a fishery on the Chiemsee, down here in Bavaria, and well, back like, 10-20 years ago, it was 900 fish a week sometimes. Nowadays, your lucky if you get 100, you wanna guess why?
