It’s 90% frozen and the not frozen chunk is very obvious that you will fall into the crevasse of ice water and drown, sandwiched between two slick walls of ice

Other things (feeders, trail cams, animals added to older maps, horses, boats, etc.) are all really new content rather than a feature

The difficulty I find with choosing Hirschfelden is there isn’t enough unique species left there now. Geese which you have to specifically setup and go for, or euro bison

I doubt that. You can play DLC maps for free in multiplayer. Seasons would not make the 2 base maps somehow more valuable. I doubt EW would waste the time and effort for that when it is just as "easy" (or easier) to make a paid DLC instead

True but some of the rarest diamonds are there. Most people find it too challenging because one cant just fast travel between drinking zones. Knowing the feed zones is the secret to being successful on Hirsch.

I think for most species you have to kill about 250 upper level animals (Level 4 in the case of bison) before a Diamond will spawn. Most people don't have that patience with the bison

It was about a year and a half between the WT and Red Deer GO's. They could definitely be trying to ramp things up, and would be smart to. It's not anywhere near the amount of work to add a new GO as it would be to make an entire new map, and new maps are added twice per year.

What a huge understatement. Common names of animals holds no real weight when talking about taxonomical literature. Subspecies are an important aspect of describing animals within the same species. man...congrats to those who guessed GO moose. im a bit in awe. definitely seems like thats whats coming. im honestly a bit surprised. didnt make a ton of sense to me that they would focus this much on waterfowl then put out a GO that wasnt waterfowl and make you grind that instead - but i guess this clues season is full of surprises.

yea it seems like youve had it nailed pretty early. i initially thought saskatchewan only for the waterfowl aspect, but once i put 2 and 2 together and heard what was said on stream...the 5 yr anniversary makes it almost a given itll be sweden so im on board with that. it was a long shot to predict GO mallards. kind of tough without racks, but i was struggling with the idea that they would put a GO in along with the reword to divert your attention from the rework and new map. especially after the mallard screenshots basically tying the rework and map together. i started to gather this was a celebratory map and the map wouldnt be the centerpiece but rather just the canvas that all of this was built on. its cool to see the content drop is happening (def dont think the map is free anymore lol) but surprised at the GO choice with this particular update. I think GO moose need to be in the game so its still exciting.

Not enough showcases of the towering mountains that BC and west Alberta are known for and east Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan are mostly prairies (or at least known for anyways). Quebec or Ontario make good candidates judging from the image showcases.

Not sure if they could make that work, but I would absolutely appreciate having multiple piebald variations. As an example, instead of a 1% (im making this number up for the sake of explanation) chance of getting that one piebald, there could be five different piebald variations that each have a 0.2% chance of spawning, or perhaps ten piebald variants each with a 0.1% chance of spawning (both totaling up to 1%)

I think they are showing medved because the first great one was on Layton, next was hirshfelden, and now will be the next map in order. The moose tracks show it will be a moose great one. They have only made base game great ones so far so it would make sense to be moose.

Because the level 9 red deer racks is the equivalent of giving level 3 whitetail GO racks

This is why I personally hope the next addition is either a new map with actual new trophy animals, or there's one soon after

If they were to do hunt-able boats id expect it to be a P2P system like the boats in mississippi but to a point in the middle of the lake. first instinct was boats for the new feature for me as well...but i dont know...i dont think so. honestly with the addition of a 3rd GO - id probably have to guess trophy selfie photos. but big contenders in my mind are also level above 60 (although i think they would be missing out on a monetization opportunity here. it would probably be more profitable to release it as some sort of expansion) and dogs claiming waterfowl (although this is a bit far fetched and less requested by the community).

a lot of other people are hoping for loadouts...which is a total possibility as well. especially if the prediction is correct on the new map being a combination major big/medium and small game. So I guess add that to the list as well.

On a Sweden map based around small game hunting you could have many animals that would be awesome. Such as hares, rabbits, beavers, squirrels, Canada goose, mallards, pintails, teals, gadwall, greater white fronted goose, graylag goose, bean goose etc.
