Let's recap
Reasons why the clues refer to Canada:

1. Canada is one of the most important waterfowl migration destinations on the continent, since the Waterfowl Rework is confirmed to be a more than convenient destination if we take into account the migratory flyways.
2. Submerged vegetation on one side of the dock also indicates that the map will feature wetlands, common ground in many Canadian hunting areas, the wooden platform that is at the beginning of the dock they confirm it, we see the same in the wet areas of the Layton River and in the Center of Yukon, also in Mississippi.
3. The trees in all the images are the same as those of Yukon and Layton whit yellow color, different from reddish Hirsch colors, also the observation tower is the same as Layton's only the color changes..
   Half Layton, half Yukon...
   so if in the images there is content from NA maps, a Duck from an NA map, the map should be in NA...

After looking at all the images and all, I think I'm going to call it. We are getting a Saskatchewan map with extra waterfowl species and accompanied by the release of the Great One Moose. Will probably include more whitetail... As of other species, I don't know yet, but it seems like theres a lot of forest out there, so definitely not a waterfowl dedicated map.

I feel like this would be a place for the new map with the waterfowl rework

Since the Elk won the GO votes and this is the habitat of Elk together with NA, mallards are also in this general area
If both elk and mallard are in the new map, if theres even one coming up that narrows it down to these 2 areas

Ive narrowed it down, its most likely, looking at trees species and rocks, a russian/mongolian map in this area

Why I think this map will most likely be Sweden:

1. COTW is celebrating its 5th anniversary this year; a Sweden map would be completely appropriate as something special to mark that. There are already complaints about too many North American maps being released in succession, so I really doubt they will do another right now. (In the future, probably though!)

2. The landscape in all of the community update screenshots strongly resembles Sweden, particularly in Dalarna and Dalsland. This includes the types of trees, the low mountain range, and the rocky shorelines.

3. Generation Zero, which is also made on the Apex game engine by Avalanche Studios, is set in Sweden so many (all?) the necessary assets already exist for them to be repurposed in COTW. The GZ map looks very similar to what is seen in the screenshots, including the types of trees, the rocky coastlines, etc.

4. If there were to be a new Great One included (which is probable), a moose would be an excellent choice as it already occurs on 3 of the existing maps, and of course moose would almost have to be on a Sweden map by default. Sweden is known for a white moose from Värmland, so I can easily imagine a Great One moose could be a massive white moose in full velvet (also white). Note that this is not an albino (lack of pigmentation), but a fully white-haired animal. [To head off a predicable objection: yes, I realize it is illegal to shoot white moose in many countries, but it's a game and only pixels are involved.]

More speculations if this were to be a Swedish reserve regarding possible bird species: Barnacle Goose, Canada Goose, Greylag Goose, Common Crane [this would be cool!], Swan, Mallard Duck, Teal, Wigeon, Pheasant, Wood pigeon. For upland species: Capercaillie, Black Grouse, Willow ptarmigans

I actually started thinking and possibly swinging toward it being Sweden yesterday as well. My current speculation is it’s Saskatchewan. I’ve been thinking this since the Friday of the boat/dock CU. But there is no concrete evidence pointing to an exact world location. The only additional tie in (if Canada and Sweden are the most likely contenders) is the 5 year anniversary. I don’t want to switch my guess. Feels cheaty. But it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s Sweden simply based on that fact. I specifically started looking at abisko national park.

Here is a breakdown of everything confirmed - just for anyone who hasn't been able to keep up with the thread:

1. There are 4 clues currently, all located and all 4 community update screenshots.
2. Screenshots seem to show a new map (at least the screenshots are confirmed to not be in game)
3. Vegetation appears to be Spruce and Aspen trees and some species of swamp grass.
4. Shorelines appear to be rocky with large mud shelves.
5. Low lying mountainous formations. Smaller than the Rockies/Alpines, but larger than most Appalachians.
6. There will be a boat transportation system (typically found on rivers, but no confirmation of a river on the map yet)
7. Mallards will be included on the map. Seem to have been reskinned.
8. Mallards can land/fly from land.
9. The inclusion of "Great" in the latest CU post likely has significance. Possible Great One, Great Lakes, Great...who knows. But it is likely intentional.
10. Lookout posts appear to be similar to those in Layton/Yukon.

Not sure if other items have been discussed, but this is my listed tally I have been recording so far as "facts".

Couple things to consider:

According to ducks.org the most popular place to hunt ducks is Saskatchewan, Canada. The vegetation matches and the landscape matches areas of the Saskatchewan River. Mallards are the most popular species to hunt there.

It is the 5 year anniversary of COTW, so it would not be insignificant to introduce a Swedish map given that landmark. A number of maps currently exist in the Sas area (Layton, Yukon, SRP) so it might be something indicating the map would not be in that region. The vegetation matches and areas of Sweden match the landscape. Mallards are also a popular species for ducks (although goose hunting seems to be more popular than duck hunting), and in my research they have a tradition when hunting ducks. It includes flushing ducks and hunting with no blinds, callers, or decoys (I am sure these are also used in hunting there, but not in the way of the tradition).

For sake of brevity - a TON more has been discussed in the thread, but these are the major talking points so far. (Sorry for the long posts).
