I had such a lovely multiplayer experience in Vurhonga. There was this hunter who was super nice to me and even helped me get my first ever lion.

Hey everyone I been playing cotw for almost 5 years I was wondering what’s the best gun and ammo to hunt lions in the savanna my load out pertains 30-06 , m1 rifles both with the soft tip and polyamer ammo then the shotgun with the 16 gauge shells that also shoot the rifle ammo
I got a level 9 lion just a little bit ago I managed to kill it with a vital hit but only got a bronze rating because I used the wrong ammo I also used the 30-06 to kill it

basically a lion is a class 9. that little number in the top right of the box when u spot it tells u what class the animal is and you need to match ur calibre to that. 30-06 is for 4-8 so the most you wanna be using that on is a class 8 so like a moose or grizzly bear!

idk what dlc u have so i cant help much about the rifles, i personally use the .300 canning magnum but i know a lot of people like the .375 i think it is. if you have no dlc the 7mm magnum is your only choice rifles wise but still works amazingly so dont fret too much!

also confused why you have two m1 grands play how u want but that kinda extra weight is a wild choice maybe swap one of them out for the class 9 gun.

u can check what classes the ammunition is for when you buy it, it tells u underneath the other stats like penetration and expansion what you should use it on

How does hunting pressure affect passing birds? Not a need zone, just an empty spot with decoys and a blind. Even when it’s already a dead zone, a lot of birds still fly over at first, but their numbers keep decreasing until eventually none are left. And then no matter how much time passes before I come back, they still don’t fly there anymore.

It’s not supposed to affect them at all.

What might be happening is you’re shooting your flocks down to one or two birds (to get respawns you have to kill the entire flock) as well as having drawn in every bird in that area so the few left are spooked and take longer to come back.

I find it works best if you have a few spots to bounce between, allows birds to calm down, and if respawns are being buggy in one area it helps the game sort that out as well.

If its on your map, it's still around. If you have the disturbed vegetation perk you can use that to help find its tracks (start by looking around the area you spotted it originally)

Depends. I get a max weight & max trophy boar every 10 diamonds on my grind lol

But my overall weight ratio has been managed to be pretty low
