I mean yes and no at this point. They have a very long list of established species already in the game so they actually have a ton of flexibility as to how many new G1s they can add every year. As long as the new G1s never exceed the new species added in number, it's actually a bonus to marketing because it's another cool target. Some people may not care one lick about existing G1s but if they get the one species that'll draw someone? It's a guaranteed sale.

More or less yes. They aren't 100% accurate renditions of reserves - they are all fictional - but as true as possible regions that have the environments, species, and story that is feasible in that area in real life.

Yukon for example is a good one to compare. There is no "Yukon Valley Nature Reserve" in real life, but there is a Yukon Wildlife Preserve in a very similar region. The in game reserve is based in a different area than the real life preserve but they do share some similar species and environment types

why cotw doesnt have real brand collaborations, i mean its the biggest hunting game ever created, even hunting sim 2 that has 3 players active a day has the nicest brands for guns,clothes, backpacks, gear etc, i think it will make the game 10x better and cooler

I honestly think they know exactly what they are doing. They are staying true to the core of the game (realistic based environments/species) in a hunt and collect (taxidermy) simulation with a little jazz to drive continued interest in the long run.

Contracts can restrict all kinds of things. Even things you'd think are stupid. They can say "no you aren't allowed or the contract is void." It's not worth it

Yeah when Rancho first came out all lodge trophies of the retouched species (coyote and wt especially) changed into rare furs (including fabled piebald for WT) and when they reversed the lodge trophies, all things shot post Rancho release of those species broke
