Is autofuel mod broken? I can't seem to pull ingot into a chest once smelted.
i just use azu auto store mod, once it pops out the smelter it pops into the nearest chest its in

i was using AzuEPI (Extended Player Inventory) and accidentally opened the vanilla version of valheim and i spawned without any gear, went back to modded version and gear was gone there too. anything i can do or is it lost forever?
You should have backup copies of your character in with the world's backups. You can use the Manage Saves menu to find and use them.

Is there a mod or something that handles the annoying problem where you canāt build something if your character is kinda close but not completely away from something and so itās red even tho u could probably still place it?

For your solo game, I think Server Devcommands lets you do that. And maybe Infinity Hammer, too.
It would be in their options in the .cfg files.
I think infinity hammer will allow building in dungeons if I remember right.
Silly question, Iām looking at the mod PlantEverything. The way itās talking, it seems like only the āserver hostā player would need to have it and anyone joining would not? Is that accurate?
For any client who wants the ability to place the added pieces, they need the mod. For all config settings to work reliably (no biome restrictions, crop growth time, etc.) all clients need the mod. Dedicated server should have it as well to be an authoritative source of config synchronization.
So again, its client side only if you just want to place some extra flora. Non modded clients can see and interact with it. It will persist in an unmodded world or server.

Nothing goes with ValheimPlus except the BepInEx mod loader. V+ does everything all at once which is why it has so many other mod compatibilitiy problems.

I have a couple of questions... i don't know about anyone else but there are five mods i cannot seem to live without
First person mode by Azumat, so helpful when building and so much more immersive when fighting or dungeon crawling.
contentswithin by MSchmoecker, because i like to see what i have and where i have put it at a glance.
craftfromcontainers by Grizzzly, because i have a bad memory and hate sad walking to a workbench only to find i have forgotten an ingrediant for something i am trying to build.
eternal_fire by Digitalroot, because there is nothing more annoying than returning to an old build after building structures somewhere else and before resting you have to go and chop wood for a damned fire. pluss nothing so sad as a build sat in darkness because you havn't visited for a while.
and finally,
Planteverything by Advize, because making your build fit in its rural setting after clearing the ground of flora to build it is an aesthetic i particularly like when constructing the perfect (for me) build.
And my question is, purely out of curiosity, what are your go to mods and why?
For me, it's: ServerDevcommands, InfinityHammer, ExpandedPlayerInventory, OfficialBepInExConfigurationManager, NoSmokeStayLit, ComfyGizno, SearsCatalog, and GammaOfNightLights.
It gives you commands like 'tod .5' to keep the game day at noon so it's easier to build, etc. And you can spawn stuff in like resources or even creatures. It also lets you fly which can help a lot when you're building. And it gives you map teleport where you can click on a point in the world map and immediately teleport there. Also, it lets you build at areas where you normally wouldn't be allowed. Probably some other stuff like that that I forgot to mention. š

Dunno. Haven't used Valhiem plus in years and not gonna start now.
- ZenRedecorate because I like moving chests full of stuff without smashing them.
- ZenUI because I like a sane crafting UI and various other UI tweaks
- ZenUseItem so I donāt have to fumble with 1-8 hotkeys.
- ZenSign so that itās easy to find anything in any chest.
- ZenHoverItem so that I can glance at contents of chests.
- ZenItemStands / ZenBeehive so that they open like containers and I can swap outfits on Armor Stands.
- ZenTargeting because I like to have Dark Souls / Zelda style camera target lock.

For some stupid technical reason graphics mods work different from "normal" mods
That's why you won't even find them on thunderstore
graphics mods usually require replacing the original game files which r2 does not support
portals are a nice QOL feature, but they really take the fun out of logistics and trade routes. I figure using them to get around while still needing to make occasional trips to and from various locations is a good compromise for my play style(plus this would mean each portal location would need to be it's own well stocked outpost since I wouldn't be able to bring anything but the food and buffs I consumed before entering)

I built near a āmystical forceā and in order to finish some touches on a build I need a few metres inside this force but canāt. Is there a specific mod that targets this by shrinking it or allowing building inside there? Can you turn the mod off once you are done and it stays, if so?

is that done on craft or consume? i know theres another mod that modifies and makes what look like identical items not stackable becasue they give different stats
It works on consume, it doesnt modify the items at all. So you have normal stackable items, just as you get further in the game and skill up they last longer at higher values etc.
i might do that one, didnt want to modify all skills though
just want food to degrade stats slower or not at all

Hi, I'm trying to set up a dedicated server with the mods, and the only one that's giving me an error is Warfare. Do I need to install another mod for it to work, or is it not designed for servers?

Work, yes if you mean it loads without errors. Actually provide a positive improvements, very debatable and situational.
so it doesnt really improve desync issues? are there any other mods that do that that u could recommend by chance?
You need to try it identify the actual problem that's causing the desync. It's often but not always something to do with one or another of your players comm stability and/or bandwidth issues. One player's bad lag to/from the server will cause everyone to experience their desync issue.
If your problem turns out to be due to be one of the players with a comm problem, you can consider several possible solutions.
Do a search for 'network' on thunderstore.io and check out the current mods that come up. Read through them and decide whether to try one of them. It's kind of a bother to have to set up a mod like that on the server and then also on all the player's games.
Another possible approach would be to isolate the issue to one player with a poor connection and have that player investigate whether they can install an 'internet tunneling' app on their PC. There are several free ones used commonly by video game players. An internet search will provide you with the possibilities there.

you'll also find that there are multiple versions of BetterNetworking on thunderstore because all of them are just reuploads from nexus. and not even mirroring the nexus release but random people keep posting new forks that are just recompiles in the nexus commits when it stops working. the mod itself hasnt been updated since 2023. only version bumps, game library updates, and recompiling it

naturally smoothbrain will always pimp their own mod, but after using all of the optiions for a while each that combo seems most like it is actually good advice
network doesnt do anythiig except remove network bandwidth caps, and returnToSender may be moot at the current patch, but i trust SB's opinion, especially when im using it with several of their other mods
[update] Shudnal and an AI summary he prompted has enlightened me; and i have now removed returnToSender from my mod roster
ultimately there isnt much you can do to improve valheims networking becasue its essentially a client-side game... aside from maybe removing crossplay... or (more draconian) implemnting a ping kicker

Thank you for sharing that, but the vote was that a QoL equipping of another spear would be great, yet a boomerang spear would remove the āgotta go get it againā thing.

Yep š might simply use the quiver mechanics or something for how arrows work.
ZenCombat has a feature to make spears so that only the player who threw them autopickups them. They don't teleport back to you. It doesn't switch spears though.
Interesting, however we are trying to find a way to have that particular mechanic so that you can travel around with a few spears and during active combat around trees and where you are moving a lot, being able to have more auto equipped until you can move to where the first spear is would be a dream come true. The trade off being that more spears take up room in inventory but thatās good (I know some mods allow stacking but that doesnāt quite feel right)

i imagine you could increase the stack size of each spear in wackysDatabase and then maybe they would be thrown individually... probanbly nt withouth special mod code or some kind of wackydb yml based on a bow and its reload sections, but i dont know
also: i used to carry 2 or 3 spears in Plains. MId to longrange surprise attack lox with missile attack with first spear, use second spear for stabbing and short range throwing while i drew the fight towards the first spear, and use the third spear if there was a situation where the other two were inconvenient.
Usually it was just 2, only once or twice did i use 3 spears. You just need to juggle them into their own hotslot prior to picking the fight
Thank you. Using spears in mistlands is the hardest given some easily go flying over the edge and until you have a feather cape itās bye bye spear for a while haha
thats one of the the issues i had with loyal spears:
- if the spear doesnt hit the ground, but does exceed the range specified in 'just return it'... the spear is gone
- players can set fast return times, go into troll cave, surprise headshot it, leave, wait for spear return, repeat - very weak
- buildcameraCHE just picks up the spear anyway
- some players will pick it up anyway too
I tried using Azumatt-BindOnEquip and disabling it for everything, then manually adding spears to the custom field..... which should work perfectly.. but i'm hassling him about that currently; im pretty sure its bugged
i could prob make a tweak to have it auto-equip a spear in your inventory after you throw a spear.
This would be lovely and thank you for picking this up when you have a spear minute or two. Could just be an on/off config thing or however you do that kind of thing.
The opinion around auto returning spears was if you moved too far away because you forgot or combat gets really busy and you move too far away. We thought it would get weird if you portal away or hopped on a boat etc so something to weight up about that bit.
i'm not going to add the option to have the spear teleport to you. you have to go pick it up if you throw it. However, automatically equpping the next spear makes sense.

That mod only slightly modifies torch and light source flickering, and smoke which while CPU intensive, are typically not the sole sources of FPS drain.

This might sound contradictive but id like a vanilla adjacent feel but with the potential of early magic primarily for leveling.
Its not huge, but i love OdinFoodBarrels makes for great looking containers for food and really brings life to the kitchen and or storerooom

Yeah, I've used Ravenwood stuff in the past with good results.
It's really hard to choose just a couple building mods 'cause there are so many good ones.
Check their 'themes' by reading their web pages and choose according to your personal taste, assuming they're reasonabley current.

Yeah, most of us think it's a bit of a bother but it helps keep the discord server clean and usable without having to suffer down time when ever there's an attack from hackers.
Also, you can think of it as a reminder to get up from the computer and walk around for a couple minutes to keep your legs from falling asleep, if that helps any.

Is there a mod that will remove world boss keys, but keep player keys? So the world can remain safe for new players, but existing players can still progress?
You and your admins can do that with manual console commands when you want to.

There is also a world modifier that controls player events. I believe you could set it manually for a world and then after that players get raided only in accordance with their own progression. So that they aren't getting advanced raids triggered by other player being further along than they are.
That's also a manual console command not a mod. But it only needs to be entered at the console once.

unfortunately, the "playerevents" key doesn't provide enough separation for a true per-player experience. It just changes the trigger keys for raids to be some items instead of global keys. However, the world itself still gets progressivly harder as high level mobs will start spawning in the meadows as the world advances. All that global key does is change the way raids are triggered to items known instead of global boss kills.

Does anyone know of a mod that resets your entire character on death? Like when you die you don't get a map marker of where it is, you spawn not on your bed but at the sacrificial stones, and you have to learn all the recipes again. Your entire explored map resets and all your skills go to 0, HOWEVER you still drop a gravestone of your items where you died.
I want a mod like this just so you lose all information, but you can still gather all your items again.
if you are playing single player you could just delete your character after you die, make a new character, and then log into the same world.

Guys how do I reset the whole world except the area around my base?
I spent so many weeks building this base last year and now my friend, a fresh player wants to player together with me.
I want to use my current world bc of the base but I want everything else like ores, trees, dungeons etc to be reset.
I have World Edit and World Upgarde mods I just don't fully understand the commands. I don't want to reset my base by mistake. Thank you.

Would anyone happen to know if a mod exists that's similar to Terraria's Magic Storage mod? Essentially where you have one single "terminal" that's able to access a large storage pool, whether the storage be custom or simply existing chests
I'd like an alternative to having walls of individually sorted chests and signs, something like a silo with an interface would be much more pleasant to manage

You should look into ZenSign + ZenHoverItem, it's similar but not a silo concept. You can find anything in any box by middle clicking the item in your inventory. And you can use signs to track the location and amount of each item in your warehouse WITH THE ICON. So it effectivly gives you a "signboard" to see everything. You can tap a sign to find the correct chest. Screenshots on the store page. The signs do NOT have to be attached to the storage boxes. They can be placed anywhere.

Hey, for those of you whoāve already played Valheim with mods, which ones would you recommend (QOL mods or changes that donāt ruin the game)? There are four of us who want to play, and two of us have already played the game.

Yes, all players need to be running the same mods for it to work correctly. And the server too.
Except AugaLite is not needed on the server. Itās cosmetic. And optional. Styles your hp bar and loading sceeens and teleport screens.
The default configuration is for a low map experience. If you want normal map you can change the configuration. But the low map is pretty cool imo. Many people like it.

No. The map is different in my version of the game. You have to craft a cartography table to use it. If you want the vanilla style map you have to change the settings back to use vanilla style GPS.
It is more immersive to have to pay attention to the land. Build tables to see the map. Etc. but up to you.

I think all the recent ones do. But no one can guarantee that all the mods are always gonna work together. So, you best bet is to find a recent one you like and try it out on a test world. Then, check the log file (in your BepInEx folder) and make sure there's no errors.

Was also just wondering/curious to see what those running this mod had it set at. For instance I have this running at 1000 now, and impact on my PC is very minimal. Its using around 2.2-2.5gb RAM (Have 32gb installed) and I am at no more than 10% CPU (CPU is Ryzen 5 5700x).

I personally know nothing of this mod. And, for that matter, have never seen it referenced on this discord before at all. I think most of the mod traffic around here goes via the thunderstore.io site and the mod doesn't seem to be included at that site at all. No idea why.

Basically, I plan to play with my friend on PS5, but since mods don't work on consoles, I want him to be able to see the structures. That's why if they're added blocks, he won't see them, and that's a problem for me. I'll go try the mod and let you know.

I have no idea if something like triggering and enforcing that as the player enters the controlled area would be how you do it, but it would be great so that people donāt accidentally pickup food that is placed for animals etc
it is possible to do. i did not add that feature to anything though. i have a feature that lets you toggle pickup state to off/on/inventoryOnly but it doesn't restrict a particular area, it's a player choice.
there are probably some mods that let you define items to always drop noAutoPickup.
then you could just define your items that you do not want to autopickup in the config file. like all the animal foods.

It adds a lot of new building pieces and changes some of the vanilla ones a bit. But that's about it. It's a building mod, after all.
But it doesn't just give you the new stuff automatically. You have to work for it, gather resources, add work stations, etc. Just like in the rest of the game.

We got this narrowed down to a mistake where the zipped download contains a folder that was unpacked into the valheim directory, rather than only the content of that folder.

You know, companions can be purchased from Haldor's shop for 2,000 coins if the optional Trader Overhaul mod is installed.
And you can spawn them back in with console commands, too. He doesn't give the actual command but it's probably just "spawn [prefab name]".
You'll have to figure out the prefab name using something like the "/listprefabs" command repeatedly until you narrow it down.
That particular command is from the Gungnir mod so you'd need to load that, too. And I think the WorldEdit Commands mod would let you find the prefab name of the companion, too. Not sure of that. Just going by memory.

So i am running a server and i have the mod Creature Level & Loot Control in the Bepinex folder which means i cant change the +10% creature scale per star level to 0 ingame. Is there any way around that like can i change that in the files somehow?

When the server is controlling the game configuration for all players, I don't think you can change the settings without changing them on the server and restarting the server.

Your talking about a dedicated server, right? Are you hosting the server locally on your home LAN or renting it from a hosting Co.?

You can change Creature Level and Loot Control mod settings without a full restart by updating the .yml configuration file via FTP.
But I'm not sure that the server will apply the new settings without a server restart. It might. So it's worth trying.

Yes, r2modman is safe and popular. You're better off finding your mods on the thunderstore.io site where r2modman is. The site and mod manager are made for each other. However, r2modman will let you import external mods that you've copied from nexus.

The only mod you can use that allows console players to join are mods that only needs to be on the server.
If there's any mod that needs to be on the client it will not work.
You need a dedicated server (self-hosted or rented) which hosts your world and has the mod installed. Clients joining that world don't need the mod, so you can just join normally on your xbox

Edit: launching vanilla reduces the stacks to their limits. Now I'll test modifying stack size settings in the mod

EpicLoot has an enchantment that you can put on hammers called Freebuild. No workbenches required

My lolPrOgRaMmInG SkIllS are just a long history of learning enough to do what i wanted and then forgetting almost all of it. BASIC in school, LISP for CAD work, quakeC becasue we could. I was competent with babbys first C# as seen in LindenScriptingLanguage for a year or two...all meaningless now. Currently it's just geriatric hacking together of desktop tools in bash for the lols. Like using imagemagick in my dedicated's scripts to parse CLLC/noMapPrinter configs to render a polar map overlay to display where the creature star-levels increase. Works nice. Cheap thrills.
I'm not a programmer, but I know what organised looks like. Omnivore looked pretty clean when i glanced at it because bash. Far cleaner than anything i write.

You may need to wipe your Valheim install directory and reinstall Valheim if you used vortex. It might have messed up your game folder.
If you use Gale or r2modman they do not touch your install folder. So you can still run vanilla without issues.

If you mean running without a mod manager, yes it's doable but can become a headache if you change or update mods frequently.

yes, but you'll have to google it because it's a lot of command line stuff.
it's far easier to just open Gale or r2modman and run the game from there... but yes, you can make a shortcut and embed the command line switches into it to launch the game that way.

Yes. You can make multiple copies of the game folder, install a different modpack in each one and create shortcuts on the desktop. But this way steam cannot update the game directly, if a patch comes out you'd need to copy by hand. Same for mods. Or you can use the mod manager just to manage the mods then sync them with the game's folder.

You can do this with the Infinity Hammer mode. But it's not simple and easy.
Basically, you create a model of the chests with or without signs outdoors in the open and not connected to anything.
Then, you can use the mod to copy them to a .blueprint file and later load that .blueprint file in and place it anywhere inside a building. With it saved in the .blueprint file you get to use it from then on as many times as you want.
Well, you have the seed but the structures are placed when you first generate the world.
I used some console commands to try and move the boss altars around then used the appropriate runestone to mark them on the map. They still mark the locations i already moved... unless I only moved the objects and not the location.
In some servers I've been to, the admins were able to remove some, or all of a boss altar to restrict progression, so I'm guessing some mods must be involved.
Once the marker/pin has been generated it wont move.
I believe you can use the Upgrade World mod commands to move locations in the world, if that helps. But, of course, you can't use mods on an Xbox.

consoles dont like giving randos the ability to run arbitrary code so the number of games that have official mod support on consoles is extremely limited and the mods for them are tightly controlled
if valheim were to get official mod support and it included consoles. it would be a completely new system and all current mods would not be compatible. many current mods probably wouldnt be able to function under the new system because it would be locked down.

I was starting another playthrough but I wanted to rebalance some things,I found almost everything I was looking for but the only thing I'm missing is somethign to simply increase wall hp. I want to play with the self-imposed rule of never using terrain wall (they're as ugly as much as they're OP), but especially if I bump the enemy damage up they go down in 1-2 attacks from mobs.
Can you guys suggest a good mod for this that doesn't also completely change the game?
Just to be clear, you want to change the health of a particular build piece in the game and nothing else?
While you're waiting for a better answer, two things come to mind. You can manipulate the health of individual build pieces as you build them using the Infinity Hammer mod. However, that mod is extremely powerful and it's just sort of a 'by the way' little piece of it's potential ability that you would use. Changing the health of building pieces while you build with them isn't it's primary purpose. Just an extra little gift from the mod.
And then there's Wacky's database mod. That I believe would let you adjust the health of individual build pieces. You would go into the mod, adjust that one thing and you're done. It'll be that way for the rest of the game. But, it's not the easiest thing to do. You'd have to get into it's options and edit a file or two. And the learning curve there for normal folks is kinda steep, although doable..
But, hopefully someone else in here will have a better option for you eventually.

It would be great to be able to protect my server with something like player x leaves server and items are held as <details> and then when player x rejoins and the items are different, prevented from joining.
However, I concede that knowing what the diff was and therefore communicating that to player x would be tricky. I imagine it would be in the server logs but would need to be surfaced.
However, it would encourage people not to log out and go to another world to spawn a bunch of items and bring back in again.
Unless there is a way to ensure the items are unique to your world and can therefore only exist in that world. š¤·š¼āāļø

Well, we have a local server non-hosted for family and friends but thereās a bit of friction and Iām trying to clear it all up by using something like this or maybe serverCharacters might be enough. Just so we can all know it must have been gained in game and move on.
However I donāt think this works with existing characters so thatās gonna be a whole chat.
ServerCharacter require you to make a new character but you can upload your existing one.
Even if they make a new character, it will not give you any useful data on actual cheating, that's what mine is for.

I created an archway that looks plain and simple without any sign of a portal but when you step through it you teleport up to one of my sky platforms. I'll probably make a dungeon out of it later.
The only thing about the white Enter/Exit slab would have been being able to work in an un-modded environment. But then I would have had to give up the 'invisible' benefit that your mod gives. So, it's an even trade off.

Ah, scrolled a bit more and read context, @worldly garnet If your vanilla compatible stuff is supposed to be run on a server, then you can do a lot of stuff with just serverside scripts and no clientside mods required, so could easily make a script that teleports player to xzy when they step on a platform etc
Also can hide a dungeon entrance under terrain with terrainmodifiers disabled to get an envbox in a zone at high altitude, if you need a vanilla compatible dungeon env with a ewp teleport/portal entrance.

When keybinding Azu's extended player inventory, the new keybinds you use are client based, but when I try to use [1] to key it to the 1 on my numpad, it breaks after one use.... help?

Azu! I'm editing the config file inside R2ModMan. I used the link included to look up keybinds that work. The site said if I use [1] then it's binding it to the 1 on my numpad vice the number row. It worked one time in game and then they keybind cleared on the three I edited.

It sounds like your game is having a bit of lag with graphically rendering new stuff as you travel into new areas.
I think you probably could adjust this without using mods. Try going into your game Settings > Graphics tab and fiddle with a couple of the settings in there. Like 'Draw Distance/Level of Detail and Vegetation Quality, etc., etc.

None of the Xbox consoles are capable of installing mods. But you can play on servers that have server side only mods installed there.

I would suggest that you begin your modding adventure by going over to thunderstore.io and downloading their r2modman mod manager. It'll make your modifications SO much easier.
Also, even though you've probably already done all that, while you're there use their search functions to turn up mods in your interest area. And check their 'updated' date to see that it's current.

So start wil thunderstore.io and download r2modman mod manager? Does this work with mods let say I download a mod from Nexus will I be able to manage mods that is downloaded from nexus vs downloading mods from thunderstore?
Well, r2modman is designed to use the thunderstore.io mods. But it will also let you 'import' local mods that you may have downloaded from another source, including Nexusmods.
There is no xbox side of this. You need a dedicated server (either rented or self-hosted) and install and configure server-only mods from the list you got above on that server. The xbox clients simply connect to that server.
After you install r2modman or Gale (another mod manager) you can have a look at this modpack i maintain. It does a lot of what you asked for: QoL and polish without breaking the game with OP features in a well integrated and easy to setup package. You can add/remove components as desired. The HD packs you mentioned should work. It comes with Seasons installed by default (Different from Seasonality, but if you prefer Seasonality you can use that instead). I recommend thunderstore for all your mods.
NOTE: When using a modmanager like Gale or r2modman it does not mess up your Valheim installation. It installs the mods in a profile directory. That way you can easily switch between them as desired. Or just run vanilla from Steam.

When that happened to me I backed off on the settings so the game didn't have to work as hard. The game looked the same to me and it fixed the lag.

Yeah, a couple of the sliders and some of the buttons down below. Experiment with it and see which ones work for you. Most of it is just common sense and the rest is trial an error. I turned off the grass and the shadows, IIRC.

Check the mod's web page to get info on downloads and 'thumbs up' flags it's gotten from other users. And verify that it's currently sujpported by it's author.
And, whenever you install a new mod, especially a complex, powerful one, it's a good idea to go to your backups folder and copy your world's .db and .fwl file pair there to a separate new 'archive' place just in case. It just takes a minute or two and is an extra measure of security.

After switching from Target Portal, to XPortal, portals do not work whatsoever. Breaking a portal, leaves it in XPortal's list, and portals do not connect. XPortal's list isnt syncing between players either

yes, the console command find also there are mods that make mining shafts. i suggest google for more information if you want the exact mod names that enable these features as i do not recall them.

find Copper (then press tab until it's on the MineRock or Rock .. or whatever the exact prefab name is called, i forget) I think it's like Copper_MineRock5 or maybe it's _MineRock4 ... just press tab and cycle through them

hello there! ive been playing Valheim for a while now, friends recently became interested, so about a month ago i started a server subscription for us.
gave the server info to a couple of people i shouldnt have, reverted to last save so no damage done, and moved the world to a new server and password, so we're good.

the only catch with YABL is that you need to know how to search the logs for the evidence you suspect exists. That can require some learning if you are not used to doing such things.
It's pretty simple to look through the file listing their plugins when they join though, that gives you info to query players on, and makes them aware that you can see what they are doing. Sometimes thats all you need to do.
Oh, and JereKuusela-Server_devcommands so the admin tools you have are actually useful.
Gale can sync lock profiles. Which is essential for keeping everyone on the same version of all the mods when trying to run a multiplayer server.

no, i find i dont need that so far, people do sometimes add their own faves etc, but in almost every case i just tap the 'try the existing mods first' sign, becasue what they are adding is pretty much always already present. Most peole comply, some people leave, i havent had to get serious with anybody yet. But then australian servers have very few players and servers, so a heavily populated server might have different - more automated - methods
the fact that they know i can see their mods, and later know i can see every thing they touch or drop or hit... makes them reassess what they think they can get away with
normally they have killed eik and spent a few hours in the server before any of that becomes apparent to them though. The players who really intend to cheat use an external app anyway, so you need to be able to see the log of what they do. So when a naked level 1 guy kills eikthyr for 99,999 damage (not a euro decimal) with a level 1 club, i just steamid ban them
last guy came in faster then anybody could have loaded the modpack, i probably could have, but its my modpack... and when i went to his location buildings were collapsing. and as soon as they saw my nametag they left. initially i assumed they were destroying the first structure they found, but now im almost certain they just told jotunn etc that they had the mods it was confirming they had,...but they didnt, so buildpieces didnt exist in thier zone
i guess azu said anticheat detects those apps, but in my experience thats bypassable to anyone who can code
so ifor me it has limits that i prefer to deal with other ways
An AC bypasser got uploaded, I managed to snag a copy before it got taken down.
It was literally just a few patches and if that is all it takes to bypass AC I wouldn't wanna deal with what comes with the AC.

also when i played on an anticheat server recwently it was a bit of a hassle.. the lack of direct messages as to what was wrong with the mods.. and the server admin needing ot white/black/greylist stuff and the rammifications for config sysching stuff in the greylist
yeah, secondlife was great with things you made being secure and therefor sellable... until people just modified their client to do anyhting they wanted. as soon as code became decompilable/source-accessable to some of the hackers; i was out.

Don't spread this. The anticheat is not allowed to be obfuscated. "Still be obfuscated" is because it's not been updated. Midnight's mod is also highly able to be bypassed. The old versions of your mods are still obfuscated on TS also.
I have an update I was working on and will finish when I have more time. The update isn't obfuscated at all, per the new TOS and community rules. There still will be the ability to bypass, it's a client authoritative game. Just takes the correct knowledge and time. You're only fighting the inevitable.

Once it updates, it will follow the new community rules just like any other mod has to.

I've been seeing on a server that there you can make the belt and swamp key permanent if you sacrifice them in the obliterator. Its server side (since its a crossplay server) and I'm curious on how to get that behavior on another server of my friend group. Anyone got an idea for how to implement this?

Because when you make a basement for a house the basement always has to be smaller than the floor of the house because you can't make the dirt wall straight and not smaller at the bottom and wider at the top when the dirt always has to come through the wall at the bottom 'cause it's not straight up and down.

I took your advice and loaded up Willybach's 'Old' HD mod along with his suggested Badger's textures. I put them in a profile with 82 other mods including lots of QoL, Rtd, and Therzie mods and it all runs fine with no errors or compatibility issues at all. My video card is only 6GB RAM so it's middle of the road 'nothing special'.
I'd suggest downloading this video so that you can view it in it's native mode. Otherwise you may not get to see the actual HD video quality. It really impressed me and I just wanted to share that experience here.

I then also found a mod for weapon sheaths while trying to find the thing I was looking for, and that one is cool too but unfortunately they're incompatible
Turns out when you have a bigger inventory, you collect more garbage, which you have to sort, so you get the sorting mod. But all the mods look fun and cool that you see on the mod thing, and youre already modding, it does t change the game that much, and soon enough youre running 40 mods and you ruined your vanilla experience

This is also why i made zenheim. To polish vanilla, and add some interesting twists to keep it spicy but still fit within the overall design goals of vanilla.
There's really only 1-3 mods that I'm actually interested in. The main one being EPI. The other 2 are the farming mods. The biggest draw there is proper spacing for farming (Which could technically be solved with a grid). The other draw is being able to grow certain things outside of their specified biome. Which, again, can be resolved by just moving my base there.
Install Gale or r2modman from thunderstore (i like gale UI but either one works) then use the mod manager to select the mods you want to use. Done.
On thunderstore, if I click "Install with Mod Manager" will it just install ALL the things I need for said mod (the AzuEPI specifically)?

If I recall correctly it will install all dependencies for any mod you download yes just download them and if youre worried about what it is check the dependency list on the mod website and make sure it installed the ones it listed
Itās easiest to just use the search feature within the mod manager itself to find the mod you want. But yes, you can use the web page if you prefer that. And yes it will install all dependencies.
Does anyone have any experience using mods to turn many instances into a single instance? The server I play on has a very large community base and we are closing in on 30000 instances and our framerate is plummeting. My hope is to take the bones of the base and convert it all into a single instance to increase performace. I know its possible but I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. Any tips would be appreciated, thanks.

Unity is required to make it into a single prefab, cannot be done with mods alone.
The absolute worst thing that can happen from extended inventory is you lose your inventory and the worst thing that can happen with plant easily is you never want to farm again vanilla

You you can save individual structures as blueprints to place them later but it will not merge all the pieces into one.
Yee, the only merging done so far involving blueprints turned to combined single prefabs are Fires tests like turning Dhakhars Citadel into a prefab, and those were done in Unity like Cookie said xD
