Hey everyone, is there a mod to prevent monsters from spawning near the castle? I don't want to put torches everywhere, it would look bad.

workbench, campfire/bonfire, standing torch, and ward all seem to have a 20m radius for spawn prevention. It's not fire that prevents it but the pieces themselves.
There are some ward mods that work great to keep them out of the area, things like BetterWards or Ward is Love I think can keep them out of an area as what usually happens is they spawn outside the 20m radius and wander in.

you should have a black window and a log running in the background. also on the title screen bottom right it will say "modded"
also you can look for your LogOutput.log file in your BepInEx folder

shudnal-compass lets you disable whatever pins you want
(then edit the configs to turn off the radar if you don't want to see pins)

Keep in mind that all players need the mod as there's no other way to collect such information from other clients.

I have the drakes included because i often tame them, and a room full of juvenile drakes is LOUD, so you may not want those unless you can tame drakes.

Does anyone know if there is a mod to change wood wall and floor textures to remove the bracing beams on the back?
theres some textureReplacing type mods, they are mostly only found on nexus in association with various HD texture packs. The documentation for which is usually pretty lazy.
I use one to replace terrain and foliage textures only, but there are buildpiece related ones, the latter may be useful to you if you feel likme making your own textures, or finding one you like in the jungle of various texture packs.
That said, the beam element is a 3d component, so the best a texturereplacer can do is conceal it, unless maybe it can be alpha'd out of existence with transparency.
Probably a good idea to look at buildpiece mods before texture mods actually.

rtditems has lots of light armors, it was the main focus for armor in that mod since not many light sets exist. It does add set effects to all vanilla armors that do not have one, and also weapons. rtdmagic also has light mage armors, and magic tools with AOE effect.

I don't know if there is a mod for it. But when I played dayz and messed around with dayz editor, there were brushes you could use to paint in forest and stuff with a thickness slider to determine how close trees are placed. If anyone finds a mod like this, please hit me up as it would save me a lot of time making forests around some of my larger bases.

To use admin commands on dedicated server, you'll need the mod Server DevCommands, on Thunderstore or Nexus. That need to be installed on clients, and if you like to use the whole range of admin commands, it needs to be on server as well.

everyone likely has to run the same mods and the same version of the mods on all machines. including the server and all clients.

make a profile in your mod manager for the server, then manually install BepInEx into your server and copy the profile BepInEx folder onto the server.
or, depending on the mods, if you are just hosting the game yourself you can just run as host. but not all mods support that configuraiton.
if you go to the BepInEx page on thunderstore it explains how to do a manual install on a server. It's not hard. copy/paste
once you have BepInEx setup on your server, you can configure your mod manager profile for your server to point to the directory of your server installation.
but you will probably need to start the server via the .bat file (or .sh file if you are on linux) the server runs headless.

the dedicated server is a whole other copy of the game. you can run it on your PC, a remote PC, whatever. It's the dedicated server. This is not the same as a hosted game whereas one of the players is also acting as the server doing double-duty. A dedicated server configuration is where the server acts as a central point and keeps the world data synchronized between all players. The players just run as clients and connect to it. The server IS the host.
you would connect to the server and your friend would too. neither of you are host.
again, depends on the mod. if you want to just run as host you don't need to install the dedicated server. but not all mods work well in that configuration. if you rent a server in the cloud that would also be a dedicated server. An old laptop in the corner on your LAN that could be a dedicated server too. Basically the dedicated server would stay on 24/7. Hosted games would shutdown when you turn off your PC. The world file stays with the dedicated server.
wait the bepinex manual install guide says to put it in your valheim folder, but if you jsut copy the mod manager profile, how does that work

Then install your profile into the BepInEx/plugins and BepInEx/configs directories.

Not all mods need to be on the server. Read the mod description to determine if it belongs on the server or not. Some mods are client only. A screenshot mod may not go on the server. Depends if the author checked for being on the server or not.

depends on the mod and how it was written. some mods work fine on the server, some do not. Most do, especially if they do config sync

Hello, i came with quesiton about mod- there was mod called turretsgobrrrrt
it allowed to edit stats of balista turrets i think and made them dont use spears/bolts as ammo

NOTE: it does not prevent them from smashing your walls with an axe if they are determined... but it would have to be intentional malice, not accidental.

Has an option to make all pieces immune to other players so only the owner can damage/destroy.

The pieces should still be protected since all pieces have a creatorID and the same if you put a password on the door.
so then if someone leaves the server their stuff becomes imortal ?
seems that a nice feature would be to add a timer on that... configurable to x number of real days.

Hi! Does anyone use the PlanBuild mod to play Valheim? Trying to get your thoughts on how it feels to play for my own game.
If it works for you its easily the best tool in its weight class.
Infinity hammer is completely excesswive and impossible to let non-admins use, and blueprint feels abandoned despite being recently released, and is a little exploitable in the way it can clone plants, with zero server enforceability. Plus its format isnt infinity hammer/planbuild compatible and it hard-binds keys... keys that i use for movement and weapon selection.

If they're a Windows user, it's common to use a mod manager like ebkr's r2modman: https://thunderstore.io/package/ebkr/r2modman/
Then you're typically needing BepInEx to wrap the game and inject mods at runtime. There is a pre-packaged version of BepInEx that is configured and optimized for Valheim that most people use:

I believe it can be installed via r2modman if you're using that. macOS users have traditionally shied away from that pack, but the most recent version is supposed to be more macOS-friendly. Note that if you're using macOS, you'll want to run BepInEx/Valheim in an x86_64 emulator like Apple Rosetta 2 until arm64 support has made its way into the stack.
Most of the rest of what you want is to load and configure plugins and your mod manager can help with that. Before you install a mod, check the mod's site/news to ensure it is compatible with your version of Valheim and check its documentation to see whether it requires installation on the server or client. Most mods are client-side, but some would require additional installation on your dedicated server and some are even server-only.

That matches the first one but not sure about the 2nd?
There arnt any mods which do the terrain matching, many view it as far too expensive to compute due to how map data is constantly calculated, the map also has very low pixel density compared to terrain and it would be challenging to get a reasonable representation.
All that said, maybe someone will make one in the future, but for now one doesn't exist.

not dead, lots of people here. but your problem is of your own creation when you run 222 mods. also, nobody owes you their attention or time.
This is likely a modded TMP Text component that is active before it has had a vanilla font assigned to it. What you're seeing is a warning and probably benign, even if annoying to see. LiberationSans SDF is the default TextMeshPro font.
Pro tip to modders who need to fix this in their mods: delete the LiberationSans SDF font entirely from your project and your TMP Text will default to a truly null font asset.
i have 74 i think which some small ones like reset location etc.... but 200....i think this amount is hard to make compatibile

Actually, you can create a tool (button) in Infinity Hammer that removes support within a specified radius.

Valheim+ (Grantapher) lets you turn off structual integrity as well as water damage from rain. (and a buncha other good stuff)

ZenCombat has a reduced damage flash when the screen flashes red when you are hit. but not a full reduction of all flashes. I agree, it's overwhelming by default. crazy actually. can't see anything.
I think that's one I use already, it's SO good to not have the red damage flash
am looking for things that reduce other flashes as well hopefully
the nodust series by azumatt has been a big qol improvement too, unfortunately needs to be installed by all players tho

-Fire arrows (they light up surroundings when shot)
-weapons effects, there was an atgeir that did lightning and ....ow
-Eikthyr's lightning ...dimmer maybe?
-i sat out on clearing moder, my friends said the frost attacks are flashy
-fog in dungeons flickers and flashes and I don't know why
-Eitr processing sends zappy sparks all over
i didn't get to the point of doing spells before but I believe you. I like seeing devs effects artwork, for sure it's ...my glitchy neurons ๐

azumatt made mods to remove the dust puff and pickaxe flashing, they only remove from the things you interact with tho. not from things other people kill or smack

and flickering of torches, swamp dungeon just slightly wrecked me

btw, if you want a modpack that "just works" and everything is all built together to be compatible you can download the ZENHEIM modpack. I wrote 90% of the mods in that pack and i made sure they all work together correctly.
or, you can alter the configs in the pack you are using to make the boss drop the loot.. either option works.

Clips wonโt show anything. Sounds like some other stuff going on if fps changed that much. You must have a lot of mods running. I normally have around 60 to 100 fps on an old gtx 1070 @ 4K

Almost all mods in Valheim are client side. So other players will not know you're running QoL mods. Be aware that if your client "mods" things in the world, it will return to vanilla state, when you leave that cell/logs off. As an example; If you have a mod, increasing capacity in a chest, and you fill a chest to the new max, then leaves the chest / teleport away, and some other none-modding player enters the cell /opens the chest, it can return to vanilla size, and the excessive items are lost.

Ive never used those mods but since it adds build pieces it should be installed on all clients. by installing it on the server it will probably require clients to have it installed to connect.

if you install that then anyone who doesn't have it won't see the stuff you build with it. Also when you logout all the stuff you built using those pieces will vanish if somone else who doesn't have that mod enters the area.
basically if the mod changes your UI or how you interact with things chances are it doesn't need to be on all clients or the server. But if it adds things to the world or changes things in the world that other players would need to see or interact with then all clients need to have it in installed. some mods also need to be on the server and in those cases the mod itself will usually tell you in the description or just not run if it i needs to be on the server or not. Additionally, some mods can have their config values enfored for all clients by installing it on the server. This is mostly for server admins to be able to "lock" the configs so that all players have the same settings for the given mods.
Make sure to add (networktweaks by searica) if your playing on a server

pick insane pile of stone (since you are in plains no biggie), your Hoe and raise ground as walls. For added ground protection you can dig up a trench and if you use mods you can use portculis or simmilar door piece to get in or plain bridge with slight gap in the middle (aprox one beam wide). Only breaking point of this defence is water acces so wall off your shipyard with some double door harpasan gates.
If killed Modder boss you can be invaded by Drakes so also build some protection for your animal pens bsc they will go after them while raiding you. At least wooden roof and good place to shoot from all arround so you can fend of those Drakes.

Do you mean the other dlls? Generally I would recommend placing the whole content of the zip file in a subfolder, e.g. BepInEx/plugins/ServersideQoL
Technically not all of the files are strictly required, but that is an implementation detail and might change with each release.
Or did you mean the new Localization.yml file? It's possible I forgot to document that. It contains all the text/messages the mod uses and allows you to customize them

Would be a interesting challenge if even in the meadows the mist was. Just imagine. Valhaim would turn in to a game filled with jumpscares. You canโt see them but they can see you. Bam suddenly a lvl 2 troll pops up on you left and all you see is a big club closing in. Or a bear. Or wolf? How would a bossfight turn out?
Yup but issues I've noticed is:
- Hard to control
- Don't consistently attack enemies when they are being attacked
- Can't carry any other/additional weight
They can carry you when you are encumbered. And they can move faster than you as well.
But I agree. They are needlessly hard to control.

I think you need set minDistance too for mist prefabs. This will make the mist appear only beyond a certain radius โ measured from the world center.

The CodeAnalysis files contain source analysers that enforce certain rules in my code. It's likely that it's not needed during runtime, but I haven't tested that.

Source analyzers are a somewhat newish thing in .net. You can think of them as plugins to the build system. Their code is run during build and allow you to analyze the code being built and report custom diagnostics (warnings, errors, etc.). They're pretty powerful and you can do lots more with them (like generate code during build or extend intellisense/the IDE with custom code completion/code fix suggestions) but they also get quite complex pretty fast.
Long story short, the CodeAnalysis dll is a tool for myself that is only used when I build the mod, but does nothing when the mod is running.

The marker-light thing would be possible, the table in the first room sounds impossible (I'm restricted to using vanilla pieces and interactions, I don't know how I would go about that).

If you're in Fullscreen and you tab out, shouldn't it already do that?
Memory has to stay loaded when you minimize because that is the game state. There is an option in the vanilla settings to reduce cpu consumption when you tab out of the game. This reduces frame rate when not the active window. But memory usage will remain the same.

You can use a configuration manager to set the hotkey in game (hit F1 when in game and the config manager will pop up on screen) or use a mod manager to edit the config file.

Download R2 modman, or Gale Mod manager. Browse for mods, click install, hit launch modded.
Its quite simple, and as far as popularity of mods and game changing, there are quite a lot and it varies a bit, everyone likes different stuff.
I would honestly suggest starting small, finding a mod which solves something that bugs you about vanilla and expanding that a little bit at a time.

probably a better idea to not use Valheim Plus and instead go to thunderstore and pick the mods you want individually. It's more flexible and more stable that way. But if you really want to use it I suggest asking on the Valheim Plus discord.

There is a mod called ValheimMinus for your exact situation. Install it onto the rented server and it will stop ValheimPlus from being loaded. Then I think you don't need to install either locally.

Never use a host that sells you an upgrade package for resources or limits your access in any way.
8GB is not nearly enough for Valheim with tons of mods.

Not quite what you are looking for but ZenRaids shows the radius, however, it switches the spawn prevention objects to fireplaces and torches etc. not workbenches. The idea is that you must keep your torches lit! gives a diff dynamic to the game because if you let the fires go out monsters spawn inside your base! ๐

Reason is, Iโve been experimenting with free build option turned on, and itโs good for what my group wants (we are going to play no map and no portals too) but there is some things that feel too โcheatyโ like the ability to spam bonfires for example, we donโt want to be able to do that, and planting unlimited carrot seeds or anything is what we also donโt want, just a couple of examples

I make a bunch of mods that alter the game mostly around improving QoL while still staying close to vanilla's rules. I add a few new twists in relation to how the map works in a more immersive way with the cartography table and add a compass too. Organiztion is improved via Signs that can track where you stashed items so that teamwork is improved. Also you can move things around via Redecorate so you don't have to smash chests to move them. Plus, enhanced the crafting UI to make it easier to find things. Also the fire keeps monsters away from your base, not workbenches, so keep your torches lit! Plus a bunch of bugfixes and improvements. Feel free to check it out. Use a mod manager to install it like R2modman or Gale. The entire collection is highly customizable. (Apply all updates)

Then you have mods that are both Client and Server and if ServerSync is enforced the client gets the servers config.
Meaning, if the server uses an inventory mod with edited config, all the players get that config.

Nevermind this. I managed to find them via the handy file location links in the settings of R2. Useful if anyone else has the same problem.
From what I remember: The "entry point" to check how all of it works is the LocationProxy script and how it's used in ZoneSystem. The LocationProxy creates the game objects when the zone with the location is loaded. But it's important to note, that only the objects that have a state that needs to be synchronized (like pieces that can be destroyed) have the ZNetView script and are added to the ZNetScene. Things like vegvisir are not synchronized between clients and not added to the ZNetScene, probably because they are immutable.
I did something recently that sounds similar to what you are trying to do, I could show you code if you'd like. But it's for a strict server-only mod, I don't know if there are better ways to do this client-side.

Y'all know if there's a way to fix MagicMike-CoreWoodExtras sharp spike dmg? The X one especially deals enormous amount of damage to kill a troll in seconds. Changing DMG would be ideal, but I don't mind removing recipe whatsoever.

Does anyone know of a mod that you can just one click fill the fuel of kilns, furnaces, etc with what you have in your inventory? having to go down the line mashing the E key to add one piece of wood/coal/etc in every slot of every crafter at a time is obnoxious.

There are two mods. Seasons and Seasonality. I use Seasons.
How long are the seasons for you? And why do you use that is it better?
Looking for a way to separate boss names/health bars when multiples are spawned so they arenโt stacked on top of each other
Each season in the Seasons mod is 10 game days by default. You can change that in the configs. I use it because I like it. Both are good and each has diff strengths and weaknesses.
10 days is good becasue its 5 hours realtime, so in multiplayer situations you will generally be able to login during a few of the grow seasons you need (to be able to feed yourself) even if the server is always or intermittently populated - time pauses when nobody is in a server.
Shorter than that feels wierd and doesnt really alow time for any of the things you will learn are best done in any particular season. Longer than that is probably a little more flexible until you increase it enough that peoples food runs out and they cant grow for an extended period, or every time you log in its a season in which you cant do the thing you need to do.
Someone suggested they like 12 days recently, so thats what i'm using currently. Not much different to 10 days tbh, but i do get why longer is nice.
I also like Seasons better than Seasonality, but i havent used seasonality for a while, and i've been noticing the author has done a few updates since then, so my opinion my be outdated.

To answer your question, its more of an alternative to CLLC, I can't imagine CLLC would break anytime soon.
SLS aims to make the leveling system more gradual instead of exponential, which requires drawing out the levels a bit to maintain higher health/damage of enemy creatures.
I wanted more modifiers and more options than what CLLC provided, so that's what SLS is for.

Searica-BuildRestrictionTweaksSync is the most recent one that has the crucial 'server enforced' component, the rest of them allow individual clients to set it however they want... which isnt usually what you want.

yeah, time gets sped up like if you do devcommands; sleepskip, or sleep (iirc the cmd)

using sleepskip (iirc) you get to see it happen.. looks pretty cool

No that world will not be loadable without riverheim, it changes the world version and will show as incompatible when using the vanilla world gen

Honestly just makes the world TOO much land lol. and there was only one outlet to the south-western quadrant of the world.
And it was North east, which means I would need to sail north east and then circle the entire world to get to the south west
If there was a map seed generator for it I might spend some time looking for a good seed to use
i usually generate a few and do an exploremap before i decide on one
being able to walk to mistlands is good, but the ones with no ocean in/near the middle require a fast mountable tame, flying mountable tame, or a traveller spirit and good shoes

you can accelerate generation by using riverheim AND expandworld-size with everything default and locations set to none... preview it.. and then just remove expandworld and let the game compile a new one with just riverheim

yeah, riverheim is life for me now... when i look at vanilla vs riverheim maps it's like looking at a walkable world with rivers that oook like rivers vs some weird unnatural collection of floaters in a bowl
I do think there are positives to riverhime. I do like feeling like the world is actually a world and not a collection of islands with 3 different biomes in a small area.
Like a swamp, forest, plains and mountain all on the same small island is kinda weird.
yeah swamps can get a bit weird, but i also love being able to find iron protruding from the ones adjacent steep sloped areas, or search skinny ones and still be able to run away into a safer biome ....... or find one that a suddent huge, deep, fall-hazard depression in the midddle of a forest

theres a couple of item specific packs.. which i still dont like, but they are useful as prepacked go-bags.
Plus a colour selection of simple but endlessly extensible anything-packs that you arent constantly thinking about or changing to another one... i usually carry severla of these, one on my back, one for compartmentalizing inventory i dont use much, and 2 for making sure i always have enough
you obviouly need an inventory mod. azumatt has one, but i use shudnals extraSlots
allows wearing pretty much everytign all at once with no bs restrictions becasue backpacks are basically cloaks
adventureBackpacks are pretty good, but i find it annoyiung to be constantly able to make a new one, which usually makes the old ones redundant, or becasue they have different effects it means you need to know which one to take for that effect every 10 minutes.... i like ones i just wear and forget, and progressively make bigger.

click raw and save the file, drop that into the config folder for the gale profile you have backpacks installed in

No, sadly not. Server-only mods can only operate within pretty narrow limits. What my mod can do and what can be done with Expand World Data/Prefabs is pretty much the limit of what's possible for the current version of valheim. Especially anything requiring new assets (models, textures, etc.) such as new mobs or items are impossible for a server-only mod.

Its a singular config in Epicloot, just enable it in the config file.
some things are overriden by AT, some aren't. Typically if AT specifies somethng it sticks,otherwise its odinhorses settings
the one you mentioned. But it's a bit of a pita in practice. Maybe consider OreMines instead, theres at least two similar mods like that now

Hello is there a mod for valheim which I can basicly turn of the generation of the sea biome? I kinda want to play an all land valheim where taming and riding loxes/askvins are the best travel options and live like a nomad or something.

As an alternative I would also check out just using the mod Riverheim. It completely overhauls Valheim procedural generation algorithm and creates worlds than from my experience tend to be way more land heavy than what we usually experience in vanilla.

How bad an idea is it to add mods during a playthrue....i am talking early game...meadows/black forest...was thinking of adding a armour mod?...also any suggestions on the best one's out there? I am using warfare already...so was thinking of using the armoury mod to go alongside it...just scared to add it cause i already started a new playthrue...
Very few mods break a world if you remove them in a playthrough so go ahead and add some mods.

There should be a world backup in the same place your worlds are stored.
Also it's important to always check the changelog before updating mods.
Some updates requires deleting configs etc or else it might break the game.

i added like 100+ mods atm, making the game super challenging lol. i cant even get pass moder because of it lol
a 100+ mods...!, did'nt even know valheim could handle that many.
There's no limit on the amount of mods you can have.
I am sitting at 45 now...some make the game easier and then i got a couple to negate those , basicly to make the game harder. But i think i got enought now...lol
30-40 mods is def the sweetspot.
It also depends on the size of the mods i think..."epic loot" and "no weapon dust"...not quite in the same league...lol...i try and avoid the really massive ones
Well i went thrue my modlist now and there is at least 5 mods i can live without....then i will be in that sweetspot, playing hardcore....just seeing how far i can get, so on my next death i will get rid of the clutter.....but i really don't wanne die....again๐ข
ZenRedecorate should be in vanilla. No reason to have to smash the chest and take all the stuff out just to move it over a few meters.

i do love his mobs mod, it gives alot of variety in the game
If you use Upgrade World mod it should be quite easy with locations_add command.
Some mods also provide custom command when Upgrade World is installed.
I lost connection twice halfway and had to try again. Third pass succeeded, but the disconnect icon was flashing constantly.
That is normal as the server spends all of its processing power.
But in the next version this is being improved.
Tbf, I think this was more down to using OreMines' command to render ALL of the locations at once; probably would have been less chance to crash if I had run each mine category as a command seperately.

Hello, I recently made my own simple modpack with creaturelevelandlootcontrol + epic loot mod and I got some questions (its first time in modded valheim).
Can bosses spawn by default with stars due to creaturecontrol mod? is it something I have to enable in the configs? I did not see an option and I spawned a bunch of eikthyr and did not get any starred variants, I might've just gotten unlucky though.
Also does epic loot overwrite the ability for bosses to drop multiple trophies from creaturecontrol? There are multiple settings and I am not sure if any of them work.
I am currently struggling quite a bit (swamp tier rn) and am trying to get better gear to survive, runestones seem very hard to farm though.
Stars on bosses really depends on your CLLC config, the epicloot setting for trophy drop does override the number of boss trophy drops.
For runestones you might consider killing the previous biomes boss, so elder for you, a few times.

Thank you, if the trophy drops are limited due to epic loot there is not much point in enabling starred bosses then. I guess I gotta kill the elder once for each piece of equipment then, bit of a bummer but should be fine. Unless I randomly get lucky and get a really good gear drop of course.
Also I've seen people comment a lot that epic loot is/was very overpowered, but these comments are years old and I heard the mod got reworked, the mod is generally a lot less overpowered nowadays right?
I assume it is a good idea to increase the droprates and put the balance setting on legendary when combining epic loot with CLLC?
is Valheim Plus the best overall mod? Or is there a better way to go for QoL mods?
Valheim+ is possibly the worst overall mod. Much better to find individual mods for the features you want

Hi, do anyone knows a mod that allow us to build UNDERGROUND ( like, digging under my house even if its near sea height, without getting bullied by water ) please ?
I would say a lot of the uniformed or malicious attitudes are that the mod is massively overpowered.
But its kind of up to you how powerful you want it to be. Legendary defaults are pretty powerful.
If getting previous biome gear drops feels too weak to you, maybe change the gating mechanism (in the config file) to be boss kills unlock next biome. Which will let you get your current biome gear from those creatures before killing the boss of the area

The mod is called ValheimVRM but requires a bit of setup and Unity stuff.

I have a mod called IdentityCrisis that lets you replace your player model in game with a click of a button to any vanilla or modded monster.
I can make a quick mod that adds a RuneScape monster and you can become it that way :p

Funny story about asmodeous, I completely forgot monstrum added bosses. But I already had the plains crossbow by then. so I went back to do it, and a single bolt killed em XD

had 118 mods and so far my fps plays 40-90fps. its somewhat bearable at least lol
I have seen modlist 250+, they say their fps are 90-120 .. boggles the mind what system they must be playing on ..
I would just disregard people that say that or they have 250 mods that add a tiny change.
I'm gonna update my creature mods soon but they're not primarily hostile creature mods though.
it was honestly to many for me to pay that close attention to ... I saw the list and just kinda skipped over it

30-40 mods is a solid sweet spot imo.

I think so. I would rather try and use Serverside Simulations over naything smoothbrain has ever made. In my experience, Smoothbrain's mods are not well-maintained and often have issues. Just not worth it. I try and steer clear of all the OdinPlus mods nowadays. Much better epxerience.

I think they do roughly the same thing as each other.
IMO and IME, I have much smoother game play with smoothbrain mods over others. there are less updates to them and I have not experienced issues that were not fixable within the configs of the mod already.
OdinPlus mods have been hit or miss but mostly good. If there are issues in one, the authors are quick to address them and get them working (if they are maintaining them). Some have as of this year been deprecated and are no longer being maintained but that happens in modding.
So really it is prolly just whatever mods work for you and do what you are wanting them to do, I'd use those.
i dont think blaxxun ever merged jeres terrain patch to DedicatedServer, so it wil probably still show tames walking around mid air anywhere the terrain has been lowered.
I dont recall specifically testing that, but when i used serversodeSiulations it didnt seemt o have that issue, probably because it had been updated more recently at the time

Sort of. Existing biomes will shift so already explored areas might end up being messed up.
genloc command should be at least executed to ensure locations are regenerated.

The world is generated at the very beginning when the world is made. So if you wanna experience the full effect. You could always generate a new seed using the mod. And just use commands to rebuild/stock in a 1:1
But fresh is best imo
