Started a new save recently, and got to stonework, just starting the layout for a workshop connected to my small dock.
Mistlands looking suspiciously un-misted ๐ค
i think you need more wood
There is no such thing as enough wood. I will destroy the forrest to get enough wood.
Those Rainy Night Blues
Idk if I am supposed to tag anyone.
Did the 100 wood challenge Smiffe posted (never specified what kind of wood ๐ ) Trolls let you get Corewood with "all the tools you have before Eikthyr" ๐
Had extra so we get decorative torch, cooking station, and a sitting log to go with the windows. 4th shot is proving you can walk all the way up without getting smoked. (That's what the cross beam does, forces all smoke to go the one way)
By a classical tradition, every city should start's from a church ( or a cathedral ) - so here a small update from how it goes so far. Small cath and a tree ๐ซ
oo oo can I play 100 wood 5 stone to
how do u make moats like this its too straight i dont see a any bump
When you go to an area, before you build anything, mine into the ground a couple times and it will make a square on the grid. If you just align your build to that NSEW orientation everything you dig/raise will be straight lines.
nsew?
ah im doing it but cant seem to do it perfectly like that guy did
Best explanation i've found yet:

Finally done with my version of Cloud Ruler Temple in Valheim. 15-hour build.
I misjudged several times how big the build would end up being so I had to lengthen it twice, but the end result works and looks pretty ok. The final dimensions are 44x28. The highest point of the build is the central hall 26 stones higher than the bottom of the front towers.
Also - I've come to realize that Oblivion really cheats with dimension and all the halls of Cloud Ruler Temple in Oblivion are much bigger on the inside ๐
Finally as you can see on some of the screenshots I've fully embraced the Japaneese Hill Castle influence that Cloud Ruler Temple draws from and built a few more smaller gates and stairs in the front that need to be breached before one can reach the main gate ๐ฏ
Better version of the front gate (damn photobombing snow ๐ ) - that's the price I pay for building in the Deep North ๐จ๏ธ
Oh wow! That is beautifully done!
It took me a week and every time I look at it I see a lot of tiny faults that I want to correct or wish I'd done differently but in the end I'm pretty proud of the build and look forward to using it as my main base now ๐
(The lower courtyard area past the gate will soon be full of portals ๐ )
Trying to make an inn building for my charred fortress. Testing out some different wall textures for the main wall. Does the keg thing I've got going on look weird?
Stunning results!!!
Gotta love some good ol' Cloud Ruler Temple. ๐
I'd say it looks like a well-stacked brewery and it's making me thirsty for beer (especially with all the lava around I'd imagine all the guests are thirsty) so imho it works quite well ๐
some small adjustments upcoming +2 houses at the city ๐ซ
The stone cutters in Valheim drink too much mead.
Idk why but I have vibes of Anvil when I see this build. Looks great! I can't wait for final version
Hehe ๐
You the 1st one who get's it ๐
Well - inspiration was from there ( i was watching my friends stream - and when i saw that Romanic style buildings at Anvil, it gives me that vibe - so i decide to build something close to it ) - but unfortunately this spot ( terrains lvl ) not let me get to the full scale of city - so i changed a little bit city walls curve. ๐ฅด
And i actually expect that ppl will spot the vibes from it after i will make that small lake at north-east part of a city ๐คญ
The house I have with my friends.
Early swamp tier survival base (first time i'm playing with fire hazards on so i went a little over the top protecting it from surtling raids)
is this mods? or how do you get the vines on the house?
You can buy vines from the Bog Witch
oh!! omg amazing. thanks
Nope, everything is vanilla. You need to plant them just in front of the wall where you want them to grow, just like a normal plant, and after a while they attach to the wall and start growing
Build I just did ๐
That looks so cozy and cute! โค
Ty ๐๐๐ฅฐ
very old version. WIP to add another harbor for the bigger ones now
i Love Valheim but I hate the warped blocks with every ounce of my being.
Budget storage solutions by Gork! 100 gold per each stack of 3 rings.
How much did the rings cost you?
39 rings - 100 gold for 3 = 33 purchases
1300 gold (right?) by budget I mean... NO IRON USED! ๐
Yup ๐
"Budget" storage solutions updated:
Budgetโฆ
Eheheheโฆ
Limited building space, or just expensive ๐
I put budget in quotes.๐คช
I have to install all of ValheimRAFT just to get this very useful ladder. Wondering (outloud) why its not a part of the game!

Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting your Valheim journey, this video will inspire you to creat...
The Great Pyramid of the Plains (WIP). Does anyone know of a larger SINGLE building built in Valheim? (Please DM me if so, please). It covers more than 8 acres, enough for a modern convention center. Encloses over 1,000,000 m3 - big enough to accommodate over 8,000 average rooms. Perimeter is almost 1/2 mile around. I used over 10,000 iron beams, so was built in creative mode. Unfortunately it's dimensions exceed Valheim's graphics draw distance for structures so some view angles don't show everything!
Plus 2 more houses and one of them just an ugly square ๐ฅด - hate squares ๐ญ
this is looking amazing! i love it!
I designed a new bed (they'll be on sale Memorial day!)
Also red ones from ashlands
That is beautiful. Any chance you could show some interior shots? Also... are there any mods? I'm not familiar with the wall pieces on the top layer of your wall. I love how you used the stone vertical beams for the ramparts.
That looks fantastic. Love all the details.
Do you mean the outer wood walls?
Because I think those are corewood poles and beams
With a wood beam through the middle
I can show you the castle courtyard, I won't show you the other rooms yet because they are not finished, but I intend to finish them tomorrow. When I finish I will show you the other chambers
Have you ever tried using an unlit hot tub to simulate water in a well? Just cover up the exhaust with a corewood pillar
Finally finished the exterior for my ashlands base
Basically the same way you did: build a frame over it.
You can also hang banners in front of it as curtains since you can walk through them.
Alrighty - city almost done. Left only harbor part and some buildings near it. So we getting to final stage ๐ฆฆ
it depends
Some screenshots of the streets as well - even counting that this is still pretty raw pictures ๐ซ
๐โโ๏ธ
Absolutely phenomenal work
This outpost needs a name! Odin has been spotted many times in this area, almost as if he favours this region. There also are a lot more than average abandoned structures, as if many others had come before us through Odin's sign
Naturally, this outpost is also dedicated to him ๐
All that pops into my mind is Odin's Favour since you wrote that, and I can't think of anything else
BEFORE I POST.
This will be a long series of pictures. Please do not take this as spam itโs just a lot I want to present. Along with these pictures I will tell my story of valheim. Any of you are welcome to DM me for info on the server. Anyways welcome to Bridgetown.
This started off as a dream of mine. I had firs loaded up valheim on a buddies server. I had played building survival games before but this game was different. I seen a bridge and I thought โ what if I built a house under there?โ And one day I expanded on that idea. Why build a house when you can have a city.
So for anyone thatโs not a citizen of Bridgetown this is the farthest you will ever go into Bridgetown. Past a secret entrance this is what you will see.
In the feast hall thereโs carpet with a secret underneath. If you find it youโll find Bridgetown dock.
Going back to this room. If you head right youll go straight to the feasting hall
This project is one of few currently being done and ENTIRELY ON CONSOLE VANILLA VALHEIM. A proper city is in the works just beyond Bridgetown. Iโve learned a lot building this and my buddies that helped with the bridge itself are helping with the future project. This has been worked on since November of last year and considering I almost died two months ago itโs a miracle it ever got finished. Anyone that is wanting to join this server itโs on console all you have to do is msg me on here or Xbox. My GT is in my bio. Cheers!
Smooth landing ๐ซ
Tea and Crumpets anyone?โ๏ธ
Coming soon๐๐๐
Henry has come to see us
Stealing all of these for inspiration! ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ

โ
Y'all make such cool things. Good work everyone.
I built my first black marble base. First time really working with it too, so I'm feeling pretty good about it. Left some open space to put the Mistland crafting stations once we find the pieces for them.
My very simple base design
Work in progress as I replace the old stone bridge/towers as my Drakkar was not up for mast reduction surgery.
Vanilla but you're using console commands to float around?
starting to come along nicely
The one who knows - they knows ๐
ฤฐt looks great ๐ซ
Meanwhile working on that castle on background - that thing is just boring ๐ซ But no other choices we have ๐ What was started - have to be done ๐ฅถ
LOVE THIS!
Looking so good! Iโm watching this one closely.
Yes? Thatโs vanilla.. running the base game with no mods is vanilla bud๐๐๐
Thatโs like saying just because your on creative in minecraft itโs no longer vanilla Minecraft ๐. I took advantage of being able to fly so I could take pictures.
It's not.
Not you again.๐๐๐ it is tho. Vanilla means base game no mods
I used it to fly. Cope.๐๐๐
I never said there was anything wrong with it.
New addiction, asking chat GPT to make my Valheim screenshots realistic
@pulsar quail he was posting his build
I'm always getting debatable wrong channel emoji responses on these in here lol I prefer to live on that cutting edge ๐ฆพ
It brings me a morally questionable satisfaction to troll the type of people who would nitpick something like that, lol
Thereโs certain people that just need to get real tbh
@mellow osprey @old minnow I don't think Building screenshot channel is for chatGPT content tho ๐ค
not sure where it should go tho to be honest
Itโs a build and a ai realistic version of the valheim build it should definitely be with the build and the build should be in this channel
there is.. like lacking of a good channel for it ๐ค
I like the picture, that's not the problem. but where it could be posted to be on topic ๐
yeah. something like that
the thing is that alot of our developers are against AI art overall since AI usually steal content ๐
Make no mistake, first image is my own creation. People who wanna focus on the semantics of channel cleansing, only look at the first photo.
People who are focused on the art of it, look at both photos. lol
I mean in general don't worry @elfin oar โค๏ธ
That's not my focus. My focus is on helping people.
I think we're splitting hairs a bit though, is the purpose of this specific channel not to show off the art of a valheim build? And to generate discussion around it, I suppose
If i had posted just the chat gpt generated image I could see the angle but its pretty clearly a directly related showcase involving a valheim build, and its realistic interpretation counterpart. I think if we start drawing lines in the sand about it we kind of pull back from the original intention in the first place, to create and discuss art
It's to show off builds in the game. That's it.
Why show off builds in the game, answer me that good sir
Itโs subjective tbh. Taking a screenshot and ai copying that isnโt stealing anyoneโs art or job. Itโs not something that you could do on your own. If u wanted a realistic image of your game ( I personally love the art style you guys chose. A lot of people are trying to be as realistic as possible and the retro is really nice) itโs impossible even if you paint it thatโs not gonna be realistic enough for most. So ai is the only way to captivate certain needs
What is its purpose at its core
yeah. but AI channel would open up for all kind of AI ๐ค
and sadly, people don't read channel rules, pinned posts or channel topics ๐
No your focus is on trying to micro manage a discord thatโs not you. All Iโm saying about it.
Right. And when we divide and divide and divide into categories, we microanalyze it to the point where its a chore
I wouldn't mind a valheim AI-art of your builds. since it would be pretty cool
Iโve been seeing it for months
It really, really isn't.
whatever derek does or don't do. isn't something to bring up ๐ค
so I would much apritiate if you two don't go into "what does derek do" conversation
I wonder if its because chat GPT is controversial and a buzzword ๐ค
the controversy is that all AI will steal art if you ask it to generate a picture
it never makes it's own
Gotcha gotcha
I could get philosophical for hours on that but won't to spare people's ears lol. I think when we covet art in the first place, we're approaching it wrong from its very core. But I also believe artists should be paid. So its tough
you basicly ask a artist to do something, and don't pay for it ๐ฆ
it's another thing if you are the artist, and ask for AI to do something with your own art
Which is what I did, yeah
Thatโs true
But then I wonder, why did I do it? I did it to marvel at it, which I think should be the purpose for any art in general. Not to idolize the creator of it. To enjoy the creation
I seen that๐
We are here to create and witness beauty, not to covet it and wrap it in hubris and ego
But artists should be respected appreciated and paid. Wonder where the middle ground in that lies
if artists uses AI on their on art I guess ๐ค
the problem is that it derails so fast ๐
as soon as you do "take this picture, but make it like this guys style". AI steals ๐ฆ
That's true. But when you're an artist, I feel like once you release something to the world, its no longer yours. You have to let go of the creation. But that's subjective too so meh lol. Cause then copyright, etc
as long as the artist gets paid (if they want that of course)
Credit where credit is due yeah
Interesting reading this as an artist. Fair but unfair . Lifeโs unfair so it balances out
True and its about balance and moderation in the end. BUT NOT DISCORD MODERATION! xD
Totally yeah, I'll refrain from the taking my builds and having chat gpt make them realistic image stuff in here but I'm happy to have had the convo about it. I love debating about art
And seeing what it did with the image, how it changed some things around, has inspired me to go in and refine that build a bit to match that. So I got a lot out of it artistically personally
I would totally edit your ingame world after what the AI did ๐ค
I like that it emitted the 3 docks for the one big one, and made that little jutting out pathway-dock. It also made things better proportioned than I had designed them originally. AI is wild lol
How did you get the banners to fly sideways in the 3rd picture?
mods...
That's why #mods-screenshots is a constant reminder...
Oops, minor slip up there then. My bad. I think this is possibly too strict of an atmosphere/space for me to wanna showcase my builds now that I'm thinking about it. Will refrain in the future. Cheers ๐ป
Keep in mind. Sara Connor - watching you making friendship with Chat GPT ๐
I apologize to it constantly, I don't want it marking me as an enemy when it rises up
The beserkers Den
Can I add u?
That will only make you more of a target, they don't want cats, they want dogs
Made it look more fancier
Excited to fight within Ash โ
Excited to access all build parts โ
...
Anyways, I did some building :D
Intergrated build with Grausten, Ashwood, Tar and more
bro this is sick dude, seriously man. awesome and the chat gpt thing blew my mind
After 2 weeks of work, I'm finally done with this 1 to 1 scale cathedral. Standing at 106x62x94 meters, this gargantuan church includes the main sanctuary, priest's pulpit, two confessionals, a choir alter, a full kitchen, priest's quarters, storage room and study rooms. Send me a DM and I'd be more than happy to come by and drop it in your world. Just know it will take about an hour to build fully.
looking good - but "Advanced rotation"........ - you know where it should go right?
I fully credit this build to @hybrid thorn it was his design
@hybrid thorn this is a boar farm building that I will post more pictures of when I get home
mistlands base :)
The obsession continues.. Project # WhoTheHellKnowsAnymore
Day 1 progress
Looks good!
Hello Everyone,
I would like to share my latest project i finally finished. Its base inside Sealed Tower.
Whole video will be posted in self-promotion.
Thank you for all your likes/dislikes and comments.
looks pretty good but how could u build inside the sealed tower is there any mode or command ?
Should i pull this guy to #mods-screenshots or @desert tendon you will do it?
Pull to modded please
small but it houses a portal for my purposes, a flax and barley farm
Beautiful build man, can tell it took a lot of work. You put in a lot of details, good job!
Male living space
Current farm fortress being constructed within the city๐๐ reasons for such heavy reinforcements is because out of everything you have, crops are what you need to survive and thrive
Sealed tower is just a building i think, not a cave or dungeon
Modded - you cannot build in a sealed tower as it counts as a dungeon in vanilla
โA mystical force stops youโ is the message you get
oh
Since the sealed tower is indistructable, we had to lock them somehow to prevent the player from abusing them into a super-safe base ๐
so the mystical force was you!
there's a command to build in dungeons so using a mod for that it's both unnecessary and redundant
this is my house i built it took me so long but i really like it. is there any tips on how i could make it better
Looks good maybe rotating the walls
is there a way to do that? instead of rebuidling the whole house?
Sry didnt see ur message in time . Ill just suggest deconstracting and rebuilding it 1 by 1 , so you dont need to remove the whole roof
What command
Setkey dungeonbuild
I use it sometimes if i cant find a flatten place to design or test a house so i just use chair glitch or burial chamber and got to the top
Or maybe fly faster to go through the walls
Idea for a small fish selling stall for marketplaces. Frostners put under the ice (crystal) to give the breezing cold feeling.
Add either another inverted wall layer outside or decorate with wooden beams.
I know it's overdone, but here's my attempt at a stave-church with an original and my blueprints. I think I got the proportions right, but the walls look kind of bare
Could anybody suggest, how I might improve it? One idea might be to use Xs instead of walls for a more open feeling
I also tried dragon heads, but they are too big, so I prefer the wooden X
Also, I reached the max height even with 4m log-poles in the middle
#building-discussion message
you could try adding a bit of depth in the walls or overhangs on some roofs
Thanks! Now I'm back at the drawing board trying to make overhangs and the resulting challenges work ^^
But WHYYYYYY๐ I just want to have a tower base that can go higher then normal
What command and does it work on console??
i assume yes
it doesnt. Why does the console edition blow so hard
Huh? Console commands work on consoles, sure.
Having built five Stave churches, I commend your efforts. It's something that's taken time to get correct, and I don't have much for tips beyond to keep practicing. Unfortunately, this isn't pics from the corrected version, but it's based on Borgund, and I do recommend making the interior look as much the part as the exterior.
Looks so good
Big thanks!
I love building but im bad on it XD
Valheim is great for building
Yes i know
My type of game
Ye me too , i like survival games
I mean, sure, you can't build in the sealed tower, but you can build off it.
I'm so satisfied with how this little bit of circular roof worked out:
experimenting for sidePort for nbigger boat....
Wow. That build would make for a truly spectacular slideshow on my PC.
its only 34k instances
tis stunning. Fantastic work!
The time, effort and attention to detail put into these builds is off the scale, I tip my hat good sir/lady.
thank covid. these are all 2y old. just came back to test/try the new materials
Grausten is amazing, look forward to seeing what you make of it
graustein is for rebuilding the 2 towers of LOTR xD
Now that you mention it, Ashlands does have a very Mordor vibe..
graustein is trickier than i expected. has anyone made any statues out of graustein yet?
A lack of 1m height pieces make it awkward sometimes. I'm sure they have but none come to mind. I'm certainly no Botticelli thats for sure.
graunsten is harder to build, but damn nice job building
cupcake
Cupcake seems happy
The base I've been working on a dedicated server.
The sun rising over my city
My laptop would die so hard
short longhouse! ๐
ALTER OF @elfin oar!!!!!!
do u like it?
it's nice
:)
(for any spectators) how to make alter of smiffe, create corewood log gazebo, hang a greydwarf shaman or trophy over a bonfire in a cage.
Howโd you get a bonfire with a roof over it?
It had a weird roof pattern that a spot near the middle needed a floor peice
I don't build very often but I need confidence is this a good starter house?
i think it looks pretty ๐ with a proper chimney system and all, so much better than my first home where i kept smoking myself to death
the beehive looks like a mailbox too, cute!
Integrated fireplace and chimney, pretty porch, pleasing variation of roof shapes, overhangs giving a sense of depth, nice use of lighting, windows to break up the dreaded brown box.... Hell yeah! I'd say you're off to a great start!
Are you proud of what you built? If they answer is yes. Then yes its a good building.
Very cozy, and looks nice. Seems good to me

Much better than my first building ever.
Less discussion - post more screenshots of builds
my solo survival build, might relocate once I find a better spot.
Here are some of the buildings/interiors from the dedicated server.
Hildir Village
This is sooo amazing! โค๏ธ
Mini portal-hub
A fancy ๐ก ๐
it looks great wth ๐ฉ
you should go for a fancy lighttower on a cliff with that design ๐
Swamp Outpost
Mountain castle just to be able to say I have a castle (havent finished yet)
Pigeon Town is starting to come together. Going to make the push to Bonemass tomorrow to finally get some more prrogression.
finished
Throneroom got a maypole upgrade ๐
I found this runestone near a small group of islands... felt like I had to make it into a home!
that is a cute looking place ๐ฆฆ
Thank you! Took a couple tries, but happy with this layout!
Whats the txt because i cant read it on the picture
Pause, traveler. You are well come to the last and most lawless of the Ten Worlds In Valheim, the air is pure, the water deep and clear and the forests overflowing with bounty. Here is adventure, joy and glory for the taking!
Had to correct some typos Google lens made :)
I call it "The Yaglodge"
Spiral library in my wizard tower. Full of spell books, grimoires and tomes.
So I have a bunch of hours in valheim. Havenโt played in a couple of years but when I played I never progressed super far.
I say that because I saw the screenshot and got excited they added books to place on a bookshelf. So they havenโt? Thatโs a mod?
I am thankful they added gameplay sliders. I wonder when they did that because I used to download mods to do things like take ores through portals and gather rates and such lol
First time attempting a tree house for the swamp, it is so difficult to get it to not fall apart ๐ญ But this is how its gonna look for now (very cramped) How do I get a fireplace in it for the rested buff?
You can either use stone as a floor to set up a campfire on, or place a campfire directly on a branch.
Looks fantastic! Just place a campfire on the ground under the treehouse and youโll be good to go. Cheers!
Another progress update on my mining and entire mountain out build
would this look better if I change the shape and height of the connected building on the left or should I do it symmetrical
I think asymmetry creates interest. When everything is a repeating pattern the eye stops looking
Love the theme, beautiful.
Thanks, based on visit or just the pics?
Oh, just the pics, I didnt realise it was available for viking holidays
Reception is pretty icy and the lodgings are non-existant but there are a lot of other builds on the Free Build World server (not allowed to post a link to their Discord)
new south gate
preparing harbor part ๐ฅด after a month brake ๐ซ
some progress ( what to be frank - rly not that much ) ๐ซ
Hanging braziers is what I usually use on these kind of builds.
i thought my house looked cool
holy smokes
but im lowkey happy with how my house came out
Missing my old build and contemplating to get back on Val to build more mountain top homes - Just really waiting for the North update to be released =/
i guess i'm done for today ๐ซ
oh yeah, it's all coming together
almost done with my bridge
Some builds don't translate well with screenshots, you have to wander through
sunrise over Bicksborg
container shelves ๐
base decoration
thats awsome! what are the mods for all those customiseables if i may ask?
balrond_furniture_reborn by Balrond and Clutter by plumga
left part of the harbor is done
i would install if i didnt need the nature mod ๐ญ
A small early-game bridge
moving from my starting shack to my new mansion. first time building something this big
ignore the kilns in the yard ๐
Its better than Oblivion Remastered ๐ Can't wait for final form
small part of the right side of that dock. Left one thing to build there and gonna get to the final stage ( castle )
Well i believe that is pretty much done. Castle done as well. This take like a 2 month to complete. This is all on hammer mod ( whatsoever ) - i just done with farming recourses after hit 8k hours. So that's basically it. Enjoy ๐ป
just for comparing how it was started and how it ends ๐
You should upload the save file
what's for ?
So others can use it
First ever world! Here's my workshop
i have zero idea how this thing has enough stability to stay standing
๐คฆโโ๏ธ ๐คฆ ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
God damn, it's gorgeous
ty man - to be frank everything inside is empty ( i did that a lot before. But nobody cares about interior ๐ , so ). But anyways i build it that way that you can live there. And except 2 houses - in every single other one is a well placed chimney for fireplace. Also there is a properly builded staircase from a big tower - what leads to the city wall, and can walk around it with no problem ( everything is accessible ). Same for a Castle. There is also a seecret passage leading out of that mansion ( what you can buy at Oblivion ) outside the city walls. As well there is also a secret way out of the castle what leads to the karve behind the castle ๐
And also at current state it's something around 38-39k instances. So if adjust some interior to the houses ( to make look "Well done" ) it will be around 55k at least.
Yeah, it's insane when builds not just decorative but usable.
well i have my full fledge castle at my 1st world. Not creative - all farmed - and there everything like that, but it takes not a 40 days like this time to build up everything - but a 11 month, from a 1st block to the last part. And there 64 or 65 k instances.......
Here's my construction, inspired by Viking longhouses and enhanced by the possibilities offered by the game. It was all done in the vanilla version of Valheim on a game in creative mode. Since I've only posted screenshots of the exterior in the new โbuild-of-the-monthโ channel, I'll take this opportunity to add the interior ones here. ๐
Built my first ever farm only to sadly realise that the treetops count as blocking the sky. At least this picture will immortalise the idea before I most the farm.
U can use it to breed boars
Ooh that's a good idea, I can still have my nice looking tree farm then. Just for a different purpose. TY!
Been working on my mountain spa resort, still some work to do, but overall happy with it!
I did fall to my death once trying to get a pic lol
Are we thinking stone border, exposed stone floors or wood panelling? Or any even better suggestions I am all ears to. Stone and corewoord are my highest tier building materials.
Well done. Love the design and the cozy vibe in the black Forest
Horrid flashbang for you all. I genuinely tried...
I like big builds and I cannot lie
Good start!:)
I call it....... THE BLOCK
Looks like modern architecture.
gonna build something weird around it probably, idk I just felt like making a box
Honestly all of my builds are just boxes next to boxes on top of boxes. I honestly want to see a build challenge where rectangles and squares are not allowed.
I will never understand
Any ideas on a house i can build here?
once upon a time., machiculations...
Holy flip that terraforming, anyways build a vertical T shaped house with a spiral staircase
I tried making another house, this time bigger, hows it turned out?
About to take this down and build a new one, like the wooden thing before it. I have fond memories and I took screen shots but this time to move on and build a greater and more splendorous castle of Ratslanding! For the glory of Ratatoskr!
Built this 3 story castle while playing with my wife. I wanted to impress her so I build most of this over 3 days before we played again. She likes shooting at things off the balconies... What do you think?
Anyone want to play chess?
interior looks good but exterior could look a bit less blocky
Congrats buddy ๐ ๐ ๐ค
Thank you ^^
i built a ufo cottage in the forest, not done but I'm not sure when i'll be satisfied that it's 'done'. I didn't use any floor or roof pieces
Thank you for the advice. I actually didnโt even think of that because of the castle look I was going for but I should make some spots more aesthetically pleasing
add some support beams under the balcony sections too
Building up a new house on the road to the future city ( another one lol ๐ )
and the one what's go after - deeper at the forest ๐ฒ
first tower of my base done
a house the devs would approve of [joke]
Before I start making the W A L L Should I add more detail to this or is it good enough, any building tips that the veteran builders can share thanks
idk the building was so intricate, here i am building shoeboxes and derelict structures from remnants of past Vikings
I like the amount of detail exactly where it is, you inspired me on what to do on a wall that extends off my new castle now actually.
the first floor interior of my main house is finished! ๐
Iโm going to need a lot of black metal to finish my storage.
some of my older builds
I love the rotating staircase, that's awesome!
My base
Would you sleep here?
If I get the bed next to yours ๐
realized I posted in wrong channel earlier so here is the kitchen. #screenshots message
Rebuilt and modified one of the longhouses to serve as a bedroom/-house. It used to have a lot more spikes on the roof but I decided that architecture would look too hostile.
anyone else that likes to shift the roof pieces 1x1 meter diagonally to get just a little bit of overhang in all directions?
I just put 1x1 floor pieces out from the top edge of the wall, i like the way it looks better than getting it in the center of the roof panel
I do something similar, I use the 1m horizontal wood beam pieces to โsnap it to the gridโ.
Different method similar result I guess
Footbridges
always do that unless im making the viking tip thingy
Shes nothing fancy, but shes mine.
Hello Vikings, I just finished new tutorial whare i show tips and tricks that will make your pleace more "alive" and those are some screenshots out of locations that I build for this purpose
well trader drauger is looks adorable
final build
i made the bar, the other 3 mates made the community centre, smelting place and bee place/walls
REEE one end is narrower than the other. and i made this bridge literally a year ago xD
A quick tour of a place called South Hall. A port of safe harbor during long adventures far from home.
Doesn't your wolves runaway if they roam around freely?
I love to hide the soil on which they stand. Also, I tried to make a traditional Japanese style cooking space.
Not if you tell them to stay put.
@night delta
the place looks really cozy ๐
Yeah! I tried to.
The bedhouse is taking shape.
(a house that is just one big bed- and livingroom or smth)
Thinking about adding an armour stand, banners, a table with chairs and some light storage. (also a hot tub but outside)
found a place for the hot tub, was joined by a friend
too :D
Kitchen is almost finished, the shop still needs work
uhh i think i just invented some kind of passive boar collector
they wont leave
I would love to watch this!
This is the part of upcoming "project" if i call it like that ๐
> so - This reference ( for those who knew what this reference is about ) is just a part of a thing what goes ahead of this place ( city what gonna be after it ) forward on a road
schrimmbly's meadows base :3
Very cool! Just donโt hit a barnacle on accident
Damn, didn't know you could build on those
You can't without mods.
I'm thinking - should i keep it ? ๐ค
Keeep it!
Keeeep it!!! ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ
Those guys there just for ritual ๐ ๐ป
Just ad some flavor on tower - so now it in much better shape ๐ป

Wizard Tower Base in the Mistlands.
Why is this getting marked as mod or wrong channel?
armor buddy - armor
re-upload with vanilla
but we know that armor still there ๐คญ
nope ;') vanilla armour now
but we know ๐คฃ
Is this not about the build instead of some armour wich was on display? Like what are you trying to say? ๐
it's just silly reference to Family guy ( kid's don't get it - but we all know what is about ๐ ๐คญ )
but the house itself looks neat
nothing special but all ways like building an enclosed wall aka raising ground then building a wall around from raids - eventually my nice house which will be connected to the wall will take place
A stroll through Asgard, we start at the Nexus Portal from the Ashlands. First stop to the right is the mages tower. Let us gaze at the dock below from the top of the tower. Then the farm to the immediate left which leads to the forge. Then a quick peek into the forge and another outside glance on the other side. Finally we come to the long house and a quick look inside where we feast and room for rest. The final shots are from the docks main entrance to the island fortress. Enjoy ๐
Some building frame thing!
Not too happy with those 4 pieces on the underside of the roof, does anyone know how to make it more seamless?
dude, its building
I thikn they should add a 'second' channel right below #building-screenshots as in "building-modded-screenshots" at this point. The #mods-screenshots is often and mostly only things related to the mods/modding themselves, not buildings built by others who want to share.
I don't care how/if an awesome building is heavily modded. It should be a showcase of a building.
We don't need another building channel. Just for people to use the ones we have correctly.
I think many people miss the mods-screenshots' channel because, like past me, assumed that, based on the #mods-screenshots and #mods-issues , the images were only for people who are developing/helping with mods.
Fortunately the channel topic here makes it clear.
My kitchen tunnel is shaping up!
Very cool! Is the kitchen built yet?
I've made space for the room but haven't done anything to it first. This is all in an Ashlands fortress so I'm blocking out buildings before I'm doing detailwork
try to protect base with some Archers, works nicely ๐
New doors to the great hall
Some sneak peeks from next build for my yt series
With right weather effect - it looks so much better ๐
I have asked the the Champion of Cyrodiil not to close the Oblivion's Gates until you are finished this
Nah bro - it's whole different title XD
Rly? My fault then. But it looks like Oblivion castle for me
Well it's not ๐ And it's a mage tower ( small one ๐คญ )
@wet atlas I gonna give some intel - if you know who the Xardas is - it might help ๐
Oh sure. Now I see
I love this so much
I will be using this. I love this
Reminds me morrowind architecture for some reasons, looks like some Vivec corridor
I know this is the screenshot thread, am I able to share videos as well?
why i don't see "fachwerk" ? If you call it "gothic style" ? ๐ค
That would not make sense bc the cabin was fully built with woods instead of bricks
same as making no sense to calling it that way that you call it ๐
Well say as you like. It's not a real building it's a game. Not worth discussing.
It's just a wooden house man ( and it's not about "building at this game" - it's just about give the right names to the right things ๐ค )
you finally get it ๐
And you missed the point
lol - i'm not the one who call wooden house a "gothic house " ๐
It's hard to believe one got time to argue about the name of a building in a game. Well I don't so bye
that's what i'm talking about ๐คญ
Well, this was a stupid argument.
I built giant fortifications around my base, but i fear they may be too giant. I'm getting 21fps and i have a decent system. if i want to play with others, should i just remove the walls entirely?
The mansion itself is not that much of a deal, but the fortifications around it made the fps cry out in help

Install this mod if you haven't had it installed

Combine with Lossless Scaling app
I do have it installed, what's the "lossless scaling app" about btw? And i can't tell if it ironically worsened my performance or not, i don't remember that low FPS when i played on the world last year :D

My island base (Vanilla; Normal World Modifications)
throne room floor inlays
The snow tower still working on it but so far I'm pleased
mountain castle
I like that shit
A couple of screenshots from my current build
Yes it is!
I absolutely love it.
Starting off well, excited to see the new materials I csn build with eventually
Looking good ๐
We brought over to Valheim a Tavern from New World , enjoy
i stole all of your rockies
work in progress plains island base
looks neeeeeat
this is meant to be a cathedral, but it's a bit small....
Time to go bigger
lol definitely
A base thatโs just right for one person but it was before the Ashlands update
Finally found the biggest snow mountain in game, finally constructing my new manor house
The infrastructure portion of this base is starting to come together, which means I can finally begin on a house!
i built a castle (interiors aren't properly finished yet)
Progress pics of my latest build
like Kami tower from Dragon ball ๐
Going back to Edo samurai era.
Ya
It's more storage than basic chests, they're a bit taller but you can still do it stacked up
Only 2tall though
As far as i know that's as good as it gets, if you're running out of space, either build a bigger storage facility or leave stuff behind
mountain lodge at the tallest mountain in game - had to downsize a little - more pics will follow as soon as i find a suitable window designs
Im very indecisive should I make 5.5 high or a tiny bit more higher
my outpost on the edge near the deep north
little shrine ceiling
You'll probably need corewood beams or ironwood beams
Just recently got the game and I've reached the Bronze Age as of yesterday.
Mostly just been grinding away at that (ugh) with an ugly set up in the Black Forest, but I wanted to take some sanity recovery time and build something functional yet pretty back home. Stumbled upon a fence design I quite like just be experimenting and just wanted to share :)
For the most part I was just working with normal fences and then outlining them with stone, but I think for some more importanr builds I'll start using that core wood fence.
I wanna make a bigger plot of farmland with the new fence design soon tbh...
the farmland looks really cool nice job
Thank you!
I got the game, like, 4 days ago, but I've come to love the building way more than I thought I would.
I'm just wondering what sorts of new designs I can go for now that I have bronze.
I like using the corewood for cabins
You'll get lots of new materials to build with as you go along as well, to make bigger better builds
At the moment you're only able to work with wood but after blackforest you'll be able to work with stone aswell
Also try to compress the crops as neatly and tightly as you can so you can farm more in that plot
Yeah, my friend did tell me about the Stone Cutter.
I think that's when I'll repurpose my current house (in screenshot) and make something a bit bigger in the same area.
Yeeeee, I just didn't have many seeds.
That was my first harvest.
You're good for now, after blackforest you're gonna need more space than that
Especially for the portals and other work stations
I've got space to work with.
Happy building
(Deforestation is my favourite hobby)
Finished it up.
(and from behind)
Added a bit more depth to the sides of the house :)
(Hope I'm not, like, spamming super hard btw)
That's pretty impressive for nothing more than black forest tier
โค๏ธ
New player huh? Your buildings looking much better than my first ever buildings haha.
Yeah, got the game 4 days ago
Also thank you <3
Yeah, those are great. Im totally going to use your core wood fence
Almost done with my castle now.
God damn! I'm so much into this theme that I'm researching what buildings and interior looked like back then. ๐ฅต
What the! That's so cool; definitely taking some inspiration from it.
The shogun is proud of you๐ค
trying to build a dvergr fortress using in game assests
got a dedicated server and me and a buddy are making a cenral communal outpost for players to all meet up for bosses and stuff, it started out as a very uneven island barely above sea level (wish i had a ss from before we started but i forgot), we teraformed it to raise it up and make it more rectangular, flattened it out, and we've finally started construction. been at it for 3-4 days now, most of the time has been making/remaking floors and walls to see what we like best.
Man I need to up my building in my mistland base this is quite the view
I wish dvergr buildings like those black marbles with copper supports are buildable
you can with a mod named MoreVanillaBuildPrefabs, you can remove the mod and all the pieces will still work as they do in vanilla
But I dont wanna make it modded
fair enough
wish they were a vanilla thing you can build yourself
agreed i guess in time we will see
more shots of it so far, its a wip and far from done; i think i might have gone too big
this will eventually be a dvergr vault or an armory, i havent decided yet
I like the perimeter wall design
It's a bit too late to admit that now. But that's ballsy as F for someone to build one in mist-land.
enough workbenchs and most things will leave you be
Or having ballistas can do work aswell
You just gonna have to refill occasionally
genuinly my jaw drops at what some people do here
not much but its cozy
That's so cool! Gives me some inspiration for my docks.
I think my lighthouse looks more like a water tower. -_-
Nah looks fine, it it was narrower in the bottom and mid section it would
Lake house Meadows base.
wide-wide monitor?
I bet there should be two spherical room at the ground lvl at this "lighthouse" - if you know what i mean๐
Nice๐ช๐ป
Best I can offer you for player accessible build pieces is a combination of the Dvergr lights paired with the wood stool. A bit on the tricky side to set up, but is at least vanilla.
Quite the expensive detail but I'll take inspiration from this when I start making my perimeter wall
Sick idea very ominous
Hello !
This is my reproduction of Bordeaux's St Andrรฉ cathedral and its Pey-Berland bell tower. (no mods)
I was particularly interested in this building because it combines Gothic and Roman architecture.
Thank you !
#1202313396356128808BotM entry for jully25
That's sick af
Iโd like to visit this & personally walk it ig
best part of it - that you have HOOK mountain on a background ๐
I cant stop gushing over this my god im so happy
overview
midgame house (just started mountains)
Finally finished the exterior (except all the crystal windows). Now onto the interior decorating
Current mountain top home
little swimming pool coming together
with great pleasure but the instances are crazy
The small cabin in one of the pictures is quite nice, i really like how you used the blast furnace
bifrost portal hub at the edge of the world
Heimdall
Messin' around with verticality, as well as setting up something of a "central bonfire" for all my friends to build around.
Gonna set up little crop plots in each of these little sections :)
How did you get it to build so high?
You love to see it
I really love these cozy cabins on snowy mountains but theres just one problem, the torches and hanging braziers at the side would be a nightmare to refill
server settings ๐
In that setting yeah not a problem but in a normal world it'll be annoying to refill
still good build looks cozy
i afraid to ask - why do you need a roof under the roof ? ๐คญ
It just looked nice to me so I kept it
well that's valid ๐ค Not that part where you like it - but there where you keep it XD
The reason for roof for the chest is so that they wouldn't decay since there were still no roof mid build
i'm just joking buddy - don't take it seriously
that's the whole point ๐
how many portals? ๐ค
well over 80 portals- 12 for each biome. thereโs about 7 floors and each floor has 12 portals, each floor separates the biomes
i used root07 in the spawn commands and created a ground block all around the tower at the base of each pillar ever 12 pillars up or so. very time consuming.
that is awesome ๐ค
Thanks
what do yuo guys think and no mods
Building a small little shack on both sides of the stairs towards my storage hall for the purpose of housing my fermenters
Decided to add depth
a personal tomb
Now I just have to do the interior!
Still some work to go, but we're getting there!
Maybe I should put the ladder on the outside of the building...
WHY IS THERE A FISH HERE?
storms or high wind will usually do it
Land fish really
Don't jump!
can someone post a storage room designs?
Just search "storage" in this channel, there's several people have already posted
You can fit three of the small chests on one 2x2 floor piece with walls around it. If you do that, you get way more storage.
I wan thinking that but im no day 7๐ฉ
just a small upgrade to a necromancer room ๐ฏ๏ธ
Since you're on day 7, I'll say burn a piece of boar meat purposely and you'll get an item to help with organization of your chests
will do
@shell fable You'll encounter more rugs as you play, so that'll help, as will additional build pieces. Once you get to the plains, making decorative floors REALLY opens up, but even with stone, once you have iron, there are things you can experiment with.
Experimenting with a simple wall for my Plains Farm.
Not too high effort, but just enough to keep what's inside safe for long enough to give me time to react :D
yea, I have played throught the game before and im excited for the long table and the chairs
Ultimate base build
The progression of my main base from first base > second base > my final base design/layout
pete, the polevaulting pike ๐ฅธ
me and @tribal forge built a manor today
I ended up building my house too small, still better than the one I previously lived in.
This looks ugly.
looks fine to me
Nah I getcha, the vertical repeating stone texture is the one gripe I have with this game
Use the grass option on the cultivator to get rid of that repeating pattern. Will look a lot better.
just look at that - making me laugh so hard ๐คฃ
I like the bridge but overusing the shift key still feels odd after all these years. I still got hope for a small patch with new build pieces. We demand bigger stone arches!
sides always look strange after terraforming but if you will put grass on it
it will get back to normal texture than just pavement on the middle of ramp and it should look better
agin if you put pavement on sides it will look strange so you need to aim to the middle
or even start from pavement and than take grass and make sides with it
Gonna stop being depressed and actually post something here lol
That's my goal today
I have stuff, I just gotta screen shot ;-;
First build Iโve ever made! Any tips on what to work on?
Your roof trim is rotting, someone on this server already told me a fix to that - just make the bars and floors 2 meter so half of them are protected by the roof therefore not rotting
I finished a small village, might expamd it later.
how do you make curves like that? I just got a stonecutter so i might not have access to all of the stone things.
creating snap points like this
I'd say "Don't remind me.", but...
hey any1 here that has some cool inspiration for Docks/Harbours? Not too much end-game builds as I only have wood and the stone starter pieces ๐
Just search for it, plenty in this channel I've seen before
Camping in the Plains is not for the faint of heart.
My "secret" Chest room ๐
first base (I use some balance mods like Bronze Stonecutter but I post here because I don't use modded build items)
A simple version of a burial chamber minecart.
Anyone else like corewood? ๐
No?
Just me? Ok..
all vanilla btw
That looks awesome!
thats actually quite interesting.
Love the pumpkin face on the tower!
I love this!
Thanks!
Did you build this organically or did you preplan this all?
The only plan was to make a large treehouse base.
Sweet, still on the bucket list for me
I got to recreate those hanging parts with the potions.
amazing build ngl
love the appreciation
I present you my both home : Mains base at meadow and the other in Ashland (needed big mud and marble wall for this biome ๐คฃ )
Vanilla, but raid off, i was lazy to build big def structure around my meadow camp and i wanted to keep the wood structure aesthetics ๐
I made a large light fixture inspired by the Yggdrasil trees in the Mistlands.
@viral nexus You good?
wdym wrong channel
It's not modded. I have no idea what either of them are on about.
The chains hanging the lamps aren't vanilla.
Those are the dvergr hanging lamp buildable from vanilla
Wow that looks amazing man!!
yeah its modded, those lamp chain dont exist (not like dvergr lantern) and over than that the angle of certain short wood pole are not possible in vanilla
update of my little cabin
don't mind the pillar sticking out of the roof might fix that later
still WIP...
was thinking the exact same thing - i do use mods but dont think i can achieve something like that in vanilla with the lanterns - especially on height distances. Correct me if I am wrong or a blueberry can say otherwise
its 100% you can only build 26ยฐ and 45ยฐ in vanilla game, and more than that short pole dont have any version with an angle
And we can see many of his pole are build with an angle higher than 45ยฐ
It's the 1m beams rotated with Gizmos..
The Viking village that I built in 10 hours for the challenge
Runebloom Botanical Gardens at the Mistlands
Also made kind of a twisted root scythe-lite.
did you use mods?
stone hub in progress
Another small outpost to mark my exploits
My extremely good build.
So uh, thereโs like 4 nodes hoarding a corner of my base. Iโm about 6 blocks up from the top of it lol
Including the mined bits, it just keeps goingโฆ
Hi ! I wanted to show the main base of my first playthrough ! Vanilla, nomods, nocost building, but fully usable for adventure ๐ Outside + interior !
including the sky chest room i showed before ๐ (no mods too, just a little tricks)
The journey so far, we just got to iron so we're building a keep where im sitting next
A complete restructuring of the main base - same theme, bigger rooms, stone floors, more to come ๐
Managed to trap Yagluth in a cage that's being held by his own altar. #staymad
Just a little portal for the spawn stone made this night ๐ (yeah i like black marble ! )
Why do big bases feel so lonely?
Because they're utterly unecessary.
Some people like building ๐
Thats one way to look at it
donโt mind him heโs a troll. i mean look at him lol
What you need is corewood!
I have no clue what that is Ik new to the game
You need to support your roof more
Idk how to do that Ik looking for someone to possibly join my server just for a little bit to help
Corewood is gathered by cutting down pines, which are found in black forest. It offers better support than normal wood, although not as stable as iron wood.
Oh... I'm stealing that bar idea literally right now ๐คฃ
Yeah, you may just need to advance more in the game to get what you want here. But just keep progressing, you'll be able to build cooler and cooler stuff as you go!
I see a stonecutter and darkwood poles, so I assume if you're new than you are building in hammer/creative mode? If so, try out the Corewood or Wood Iron beams/poles - a forge is needed for the Wood Iron pieces. Hope you get it figured out! There are so many possibilities for fun builds!!
Thats one neat looking base! Well done. Ashwood pieces are so good.
thanks)
Very cool setup with the farming areas, harbor and portal area
Seems like a well defendable base, you got raids going on?
in valheim usually the player protects his base and not the other way around, however there is a fence and it consists of stone and iron bars)
Well this base does seem a little protective ๐ Not a lot will get into it. Enjoy it now its finished!
The whole thing?! xD
well just the idea for now ๐ we're still in our bonemass era so I think you have access to components I don't yet
The bar is completely doable around swamp!
Finewood, wood, corewood, iron and stone is all
The base for now
built from day 5 onwards
it started off with the central part (tallest thach one) and eventually we added in a chest room, portal room, mead room, kitchen and the crafting room as of today
even if it doesn't look the greatest I like it, functional as hell
[WIP] I just finished my playthrough in Ashland so i decided to build a skybase ๐ !
First time i go that far around that concept in valheim.
Its no mods but obviously fly mode + free building modifier and need spawn something special for making the marble "fly"
Here is only the core of the base ๐
Cause most these people donโt know how to play chess ๐
wip so far of a new house im making
Been bored lately and dont feel like finishing ashland so i have been building in my solo survival world, it isint finished yeat
Reconfiguration complete - now to finish the outer walls
Kitchen on the right - crafting on the left, smelting clear in the back, bedrooms in each corner, stuff n things in the middle ๐
did u watch the movie 'The Shining'?
The amount of smoke holy
No but im very interested to know what link youre making๐
i wont spoil it. its a must watch
No real semblance of a roof helps alleviate that ๐
Only know the axe and the door part
I apologize for th dark screenshots, started playing this today for more or less the first time ~on steam deck~ and it is an absolute blast the building seems super cool, I was having a smoke problem with my room and chimney so I two stepped it to release the smoke while maintaining the roof ๐ if anyone wants to play ever let me know id love to adventure
Looks nice, wayy better than my first build
Thank you ๐ญ I scrolled up and saw everyone's castles lmao I have a long way to go
Sameeee, my build is up there asw but it has taken houuurs already, those castles and stuff are like impossible at least for me
Should send a picture of your build real fast ๐
throne room :)
[WIP] Skybase Step 2 : the core of the workshop is done, now have to build side room large enough for each bench at max rank ๐
used cheats to fly up to get a good view over the base. not the prettiest but gets the job done
Little House I managed to build before beating the first boss now it's off to the black forest
Now you will be known as just Dvde
Oh shit you're right lol
Or HomefulDvde.
Just started playing last night. Here's my first base build.
Ooohhhh across the water goes crazy lol
Yeah, its a little island that's right on the coast about a minute jog from the Black Forest.
It was a little cramped so I redesigned the building for more room to move around.
Thats cozy asf
My swamp build in the evening, when I went out for another iron cruise.
Thats so sick
Thanks
The Great Wall is coming along nicely ๐
beauty in simplicity
Currently relighting my builds.
It's a shame how much of a darn hassle it is to relight all those fires.
It looks so much better than without.
My wish is for Drawbridges
I'm just gonna go. I shouldn't have barged in. How stupid of me.
[WIP] Step 3, portal hub is finished ๐ ! Next the side room linked at the core of the base, Throne room, rest room and chest room
Still vanilla, cheat/fly mode on (obviously)
Underview
How do you make them float like that is that a mod or smt
either some creative fuckery or mods
Its not a mod ๐ , i spawn a piece of rock in the sky so every building part that touch the rock is treated as the ground.
You can even do this without any cheating command using a Ward, because ward cant be destroyed by the gravity even if it dont touch the ground.
So with iron pole/beam you can build wood structure starting from the ward (only work for wood structure)
For stone/marble structure you need something treated as the ground, so the only option "vanilla" is to spawn a rock (in creative mode).
For this building i use Rock_destructible_test
This is a rock composed with multiple little stone that you can break if needed
On this floating base, i used ~15 Spawned rock
Other things, when you build wood structure starting from a ward, you have to take care about your height building, because even if you would build in the sky it still take care about the height.
So the limit is still the iron beam/pole max height and you have to build multiple structure point with a ward.
Like this : (this building have 6 structure point with a ward, 1 under, 1 in the center and 1 on each corner, each ward space each other by ~10-12m)
The ground of my new mountain build is laid.
made the building just after killing elder, after that ive just decorated the inside. Planning to ad a expansion where the farm currently is
Using a command or are you using dev commands? as that is still classified as a mod - (in order to use dev commands you need a mod to enable it..)
Well that depends.
says the one before thats not a person using mods even though the person was....
Eh?
Person with chain hanging lanterns - you called the person to others not using a mod. Clearly shows you have no idea what you are talking about even though the person was using mods.
If you can confirm some one is using mods okay, if not i suggest to keep your hands away from the keyboard
You're the one accusing these people of using mods, not me.
I am asking a simple question not accusing get your facts straight
using devcommands does not classify as modding, there's no third party stuff involved in that
in order to enable it you need a mod no? If not please let me know otherwise
No, which is why I said it depends.
All i am asking is do you need a mod to enable yes or no
you just rightclick it on steam, click properties and then type "-console" into the launch arguments field
you could say that's modifying the game, not exactly wrong, but i'd say that's being a bit too strict. devcommands in all other contexts/channels are excempt from the "no mods" rules so i don't see why they shouldn't be here
then defeats the purpose of players showing modded builds on here if someone is using dev commands... its not vanilla is it
well if they're showing modded builds, then there are mods to point out unrelated to the devcommands, not sure i understand what you mean
showing 2 aspects modded is a no no on here, some one who uses dev commands on here to showcase a build is okay?
Yes, because devcommands aren't mods.
not vanilla though is it
I fail to see why this is so confusing.
-# if i had a say in things, enforcement of the no mods rule would be leagues more lax, hate that 50% of the reactions in this channel are just "wrong channel" followed by long discussions about why
dev commands is similar to modding or alternating a scene
Devcommands remain, and will continue to remain, not mods.
But then this channel hates people with a creative mind whilst using mods - its a build channel - share pics on creativity why the hate so much if some one uses a mod
We have a modded screenshot channel. There's no hate, but modded screenshots will confuse new players who won't realise it's modded or not.
that channel is broken and labelled wrong - modded screenshots can mean anything - modded build << build is key to have to show case modded builds
i do you like your response on that ๐
Hi ! i use dev commands to fly, apply the "no cost" the only things that dont remain vanilla in term of game content is the spawn of a "rock" that already exist in game files even in your vanilla valheim version.
I didnt add any add-on to the game giving me any aditionnal content
And i clearly precise what i have used to build it ๐
No hate from me just respect and love it!
No problem ๐ !
New base up and running!
I play with a few qol mods and post here because I don't use modded items lol NGL
central base
tonight we feast
@finite scarab
I highly doubt I'm the first to do something like this; and I'm quite certain I won't be the last either ๐
My WIP house, also my very first big build that im quite proud of, still in the process of making the forge area and moving all my items, as well as making the storage room.
Plus decorating, but i will do that after completion
That looks well constructed
It took me 3 irl days, where 1 day i spent the entire time trying to figure out the supports for the roof on the 2nd floor
The roof is so volatile and fragile, if i change even 1 support itll all break
I've been working on this for well over a month
And you'll get stronger stuff to shore up that roof situation
Looks really good!
@hearty gull had some flare of my own style but still the same design layout
the interior
maybe redo the pics during the day.. cant see shit lol
You're absolutely right, discord image compression doesn't help either lol
Ruined stairs
@fierce yacht
That's pretty cool
Hell yeah
top pov of a base, what fits
Huscarl's Longhouse, sort of based on historical longhouses, comes with a fighting pit in the back
I only wish that sea walls would actually hold back water. The waves of the black forest absolutely crash against and go over mine
good time
Holy shit. What do you even do in this game for 9000 hours
Build.
playing ๐
9000 hours is insane. If only homie was getting paid 10$ an hour. But well done tho.
6 hours+ a day for 4 years thats insane
wow
Plot twist, he sat afk 6 hours a day for 4 years
At first glance I thought your surtling on the stand on the left looked like this..
Dragon Tavern and new village
That looks dope, reminds me of those Japanese shinto gates
One of my early builds a few years back when I first started valheim
Cantilever Drakkar dock
The water is really deep here so it would have been difficult to ground the dock in the normal way, hence the cantilever
how you get the ground so flat and even? aahh it looks soo good
Lots of stone, hoeing and pickaxeing.
Reclaiming a sunken Mistlands form the Deep North and Ashland divide. Wanted to make a nice mushroom farm but the land that I had, and was perfect was taken away. So I am going Moses mode and parting the waters and rising the land out of the water to make my farm.
New land starts at the fire.
What was lost and surived.
been here a long time. have seen a lot of cool builds. i decided to try a build with less conventional build pieces. this fortress is a WIP but damn, i think it looks HAWT.
my village is getting bigger
finally getting into some windows
my little kitchen
breh i'm loving this building block
notice how you only placed grausten pillars xd, they look nice
right? i just never thought to make a whole build out of them. i didnt give the structure enough metal support to take it to max height but i'm very happy witch how much space i've got
