If anyone knows what I need to fix the ground under the campfire I'd be grateful!!. Partially my fault for not understanding what level ground does but i assume i need a tool to dig it out.

You can level the ground to be closer to the level you are standing on - so if you have the high ground, it rises up.
If you have the low ground, it drops to meet it.

Otherwise you need to get a special tool

Worst case scenario you'll need a pickaxe.
First destroy the campfire, use the pickaxe to lower the ground and that should fix it.
Also Try making a chimney so the smoke can escape and won't be suffocating you.

This is an idea to make a chimney waterproof without capping it. (Screenshot isn't mine, google provided it.

@noble shale Not insane exploration but did take a while. I can usually find him pretty quick by searching at the right part of the map. You can also see here about the distance he is from spawn, to give you an idea of where to search. I try to just sail around and if I see a big black forest I'll hop off my boat and use eikthyr power to scout it

and again it's not about thoroughly exploring every island, but just running through it bc he'll pop up on your map if you're relatively nearby him

This is the piece of land I've been working on. A quick base of operations to get some food in bulk for everyone and a storage area for my tree and rock vendetta

Literally had to remove an island around this area to get this dock going. Now that I know the dive and tools in water mod work, it will save a few hours (I checked with everyone on the server if they thought I should not use those mods, so I got permission).

This is the village. Once I'm done with my tree and rock vendetta, I'll start working on doing some citypolanning and streamlining the streets, along with the rest of the group. I suppose it can clearly bee seen that the rest of the peop buildign didn't really have a plan, but we got a 7/11 on the lower right, one of the folk's house on the middle and the meadhall, which will be the center piece of the village, on the top

i installed PlantEasily today, so actually very easy, client side mod i think so doesnt affect anything, just allows you to plant in grid and harvest 100x easier

valheim+ mod has the option to only allow planting if theres space for it, which made planting much more bearable, i just spam click stuff to plant and they never fail, i didn't want to do the whole plant a grid thing, i kinda liked having to plant each thing individually

it's easy if you can make it to the top, use ooze bombs. We didn't fight a single one except the miniboss xd
you can throw the ooze bombs through the iron gate, and wall kinda
clear them, maybe 1-2 fulings might stay alive at low hp but you can kill that ez

huh, that is odd. when you plant something there and hover over it, do you get a message? Might just be an odd quirk of the ground level. You could try raising it up to the level of the other crops for one big field.

They almost always say healthy on initial planting, but give it a few seconds and they update. Buried rocks can cause issues as well. They shouldn't just disappear overall ever, unless something is attacking them or they at least tell you they're unhappy

The free range Lox pen is really simple (wood and stone). Here's a basic example, it has a trapped Skeleton in a Core wood box at the top out of reach of the breeder Loxes. The calves flee and won't return. By the time they're an adult they've moved far enough away. I chose a Cloudberry patch as a starting point to raise the earth wall for easy feeding. I also do this for Cloudberry patches around the base because Loxes like to stomp them 😒 I used to feed Loxes in the wild on the perimeter but these days I don't bother.

I created one of these specifically to let my Lox army defeat Yagluth. BTW you need 20 Loxes

Ground floor breeding pit

First floor room with bait mob cage, directly above the breeding pit. As long as the mob is not too close to the walls the breeders can't even stack for long. The pit floor needs to be relatively flat or they won't eat, other than that it can be pretty rough

Add some Wolves to the mix and you're set. The distance to a more appealing target (where they can get closer to a mob) needs to be far enough to not draw them away. Any raider that makes it in there is toast, and they go back to business

I use this for the Boar and Hen at a smaller scale. although they tend to wander off so I put them on a platform that the offspring can run off the edge and give them a safe space to run to. Only needs to be raised a bit

Breeders at the top, the mob is set in to the stone above them. They go to leave but the path down the stairs doubles back and they barely get anywhere before returning. Small lip platform with curvy shape works for me at the bottom of the stairs. A bit fiddly but done now.

As long as the mob makes the breeders alert but not terrified it works

Having a vertical pole on each joint to connect to the ground can help stabilize the structure as you build. If it doesn't reach the riverbed, a hoe can bring the earth up enough to reach the support. Good luck building! I love bridge-crafting.

It took a lot of (lazy) geometry to try and get the circle right. There is always a northern point notated by a rune or rock (I forget). Then, I start by leveling the very edge of the circle with my hoe and tools. From there, you can mark the barrier's edge with core wood long pieces (or shorter for accuracy) and start building a polygon that resembles a circle. It's just magic and faith in Freya from there LOL

well even when they are used its because they have some property that the other materials don´t 😄 you will not see much of steel plain bearings for example (that are the ones that are basically just cylinders of metal with shaft spinning in it, not the ball bearings that have balls they spin on) but you will see good amount of bronze ones 😄 and the other way too, you will not see much bronze axes in hardware stores since we have materials more suited for specific use 😄
