Parry the single arm swing, on either version, dodge the 2 arm swing and the big wind up from the spiky version, even a level 2 banded shield will parry the single arm swings and then mess it up while it's knocked back for a few seconds. Pickaxes do a lot of damage to them, but you can't parry with a pick lol

@cold carbon something like this, placing stone bricks right on top of each other looks a bit unnatural and ugly (you can always accent it with wood if you do that tho)
most people just prefer to alternate (and use 2x1 blocks but too costly for my use so I use 4x2)

That'd be the way to do it, and thanks! There may be "harder" materials you could use for decoration if you're going for a more realistic but artful approach, I've even seen people use resource piles like stones are part of their decor for supports or things.

Some views from inside my base, I'm bad doing exterior designs, but I like how spacious the interior is. I can move a cart without issues around the entire 1st floor, 2nd floor is portal rooms, 3rd is more portals and also trophy display room.

Yes, stagbreaker is one of the first weapons made to fight the skeletons in the game, it is an easy-to-make and powerful weapon But I have to say, it hits a little slow and slows down movement speed considerably.

I can imagine, that arch alone looks like it took a lot of time and I assume re-do's thanks to the integrity system. Also that newest pattern is sick, are there marble blocks shaped like diamonds like that off the bat or did you do some tricks to make them look like that? I haven't gotten that far yet

It's a 1x1 block, 2 1x2 blocks, and a 1x1 block. The 1x1's are turned 45 deg and they're all meshed together. You can do the same with stone, even if it's to practice with.

Thank you very much. I tried my hand at this project year one of Valheim. Finally decided with every trick I know now to give it another go. Still not super stoked on the final spirals over each room. The overlapping makes them look sloppy? Idk. But for a trick to give away. I made the footprint with 1m horizontal beams. A scaled representative of the build. Then adapted that to 2m beams and went to town on it. I'll post a picture later of what I'm talking about.

Take a little effort but, countersink benches into the stone by placing benches then, clipping stone back into place so that, benches are just revealed enough to interact with

I appreciate the explanatory effort, but it's still not clear to me. What I've done is build the stands from stone, and then put a wooden layer across all the horizontal (so you're sat on wood). The stone choice was more for the elements (and enemies) more than anything.

On some worlds there are mountains that go higher than the clouds. On others you have to make your way to the clouds. This is me on top of tower built upon the top of a fir planted on top of a mountain in a server long lost. Some of us jumped from the top for the extra thrill 🙂

Yea I know. I had a base in the plains but the lox kept breaking it all and got tired of fueling spawning like 10 feet outside my wall no matter how many torches or workbenches I had around. Because more work repairing it than needed lol

Yep! I think after doing like 3 or 4 different build projects I’ve learned a lot. Also doing different kinds of builds, also landscaping and infrastructure is what makes stuff look so much better. Proper spacing between everything.

Different things you could build would be wells, forges, houses, forts, castles, docks, lamp posts.
I’ve noticed having a consistent but not too consistent city plan makes it come alive

yeah, the mob health and damage scaling isn't enough to overcome the advantage of numbers. You can chain your powers or even just have multiple for any occasion, enemies aren't equivalently powerful, so you can just gang up on tough enemies, etc. The only thing that's proportionally more difficult when you increase the player count (especially in a friend group co-op situation) is collecting 2, 3, 4, etc... times more resources for however many players you have
