90% of my gameplay so far was

Bows just let you sit safely at range and kill enemies. Plus because of some of the coding of skills, bows turn into super high damage weapons a bit later on. They basically turn into machineguns

I wouldn't recommend playing without them on a first playthrough, but just don't do every single encounter with a bow

I also have a question, please. Right now my armor is the Troll Armor, but I unlocked the Bronze Armor and then the Iron Armor. Do I have to craft the latest armor I unlock to be strong, or can I keep my old armors? (I killed a lot of trolls to upgrade mine lol)

The game has a lot of opportunities to upgrade or get new armor, how much you want to upgrade or build new armor sets depends on how easy you want things to be. Usually you don't need to go all out

I would recommend always getting the weapons of a new biome you progress in though. Weapons are good, and food is essential

literally last time I was in the black forest, I used a troll and a bear at the same time to mine copper and just dodged their attacks and walked around them. It’s very very possible. just spend a few lives learning when to dodge and I promise they become trivial. Spears do bonus damage against them. With a bronze buckler, you can even parry them.

Ngl as an axe user myself I am sad to say that nearly all axes aside from battleaxe and dual axe is not suitable for fights

Practice, usually. You may want to try out Tower Shields, they work well as long as your HP is high enough in the first place. Like once you get to the Plains, which I think you are at, all you need is the BM Tower Shield until the Ashlands, and it even works pretty decently there too.

I'm a lazy player when it comes to building.
If you are playing a normal playthrough, you only need a portal and a fence to make a farm. no need to make a base.

Two main strategies for plains food. One build a farm in the plains with a nearby portal and come back and forth to harvest barley and flax. Two, build your main base in the plains or on the border to take advantage of farm in part of the plains. Unlike farming up til then, plains are required to farm plains crops.

Campfire proofing the place also works, if your lucky you can take over a small island

So I built 2 bridges over my moat. Both have a small gap in them, where a cart can go over and I don't have to jump. It seems to stop the small creatures, but not the greydwarf brutes. Do I just have to make the gap bigger so they don't cross?

I want to be able to freely cross and them not due to obstruction

so one problem with the gap trick, is that other enemies can push an enemy over the gap, and the bigger the enemy the easier it is for them to do that

Listen to the bird, read and reread the log until you learn everything, first order of business is beating the first boss. So prepare for that.

Pick up everything you can, craft most everything once, its how you learn a lot of recipes, gather food, cook foods that can be cooked, etc....

Make sure to select the bed you want to be reborn in the next time you die.

Really important once you start using boats.

Make sure to pick any flower you see at least once. This goes back to learning recipes, etc...

Create a good storage system with your chests.

Thats all I can think of right now.

Any tips on how to play/explore Valheim more creatively? 🤔
I am not very good at roleplaying, and I end up just following the standard objectives and goals to progress.
Should I play without focusing so much on the progress itself?
I have several worlds rn and I played through all of them in the same way. The only difference is the rng and the maps of the game itself, but the way I progress is basically the same.

It's more fun when I play with other people, but they aren't always available, so...

I've tested. With HHS food setup you can more surely if you have higher block skill (lets say 70-75 at least), but some randomly higher numbers got player staggered too.
Didn't test with HHH but it should be easier.

Ah I misread the wiki, I thought I read that even with HHH and the best armor he one hit kills you through the best parry. But I think it was just that without parrying/blocking it's 1 hit

Turns out I am liking my mist free Mistlands even more. I spotted a dvergr tower. It was on the other side of some mist, but it was clear of it. I found two roots there and got another extractor. So now I am finally getting sap, and making my favorite Mistalnds mead. Its also a better place for farming. So the tower is now my Mistlands farm as well. We also finally got to Yag, so will probably defeat him today, so we can go all in, going into the Mistlands.
