at a guess, I'd say there's something behind the scenes that makes it likely for the pet rocks to have matching expressions with other rocks nearby

if you have some rocks already smiling, there's a high chance a new pet rock placed nearby will smile immediately when placed

and if a large group is placed that all have the blank expression, many of them will change to some other matching expression at the same time

but anyway

I have a bit of a curiosity question for anyone who might know for certain. It does contain spoilers for the Ashlands boss, so fair warning:

||In the Fader fight, he does a few attacks that I'm asking about specifically. Namely, the Fissure (spikes from the ground), Fire Breath, and Summoning.

It seems like Fader doesn't do these attacks from the very start of the fight, only after he's lost a moderate chunk of health. However, he does do these attacks before half health, so it doesn't seem like a "second phase only" attack. I did some research on the wiki, but didn't find anything about health marks activating attacks to them be used.

So my question to anyone who has a definite answer, which one is true? Does Fader only do these attacks after losing a certain amount of health (and if so, how much?), or can he always do those attacks, but I somehow haven't seen them for a long time every Fader fight?

Don't get me wrong, but the idea in general about the April fools is ok.
I liked the videos about the "new" items.
I even like the idea of the pet rock.
What I don't like is the low spawn rate of it, forcing players to look for something for multiple hours, forcing them to lower their settings to items are easier seen and still having found nothing.
In that case it isn't an easter egg anymore, it's a part of the Sadistic Number Generator. With the emphasis on sadistic.
And when it comes that far, it isn't funny anymore.
Which also means it absolutely ruined my day and my Valheim experience.

Rocky can spawn in Meadows, Swamp, Mountain and Black Forest, at a max altitude of 20m, and a minimum of 5m. Rocky will only spawn past 1000m from the world centre.

So question....i just unlocked blood magic and have been farming in the swamps with the body piles, i noticed they skeletts say "hungry", are they able to be fed at all or is this just a sort of "Flavor Text" since skeletons have no stomach. Porcupine seems to be very underrated weapon since Frostner shines in many ways but Porcu actually fits well against all mobs in plains, even against Lox due to pierce and against growths due to blunt damage.

Only against boss it gets outperformed by BM sword and Frostner.

Hey gang,

My first time venturing into the Ashlands. I've been pretty spoiler free. I brought mats for a bench, portal, shield thingy.

I ended up getting a couple bonemaws on the way in so I was already a little concerned. Due to fighting those, I wasn't paying attention to the surroundings much. I ended up kind of soft crashing in the middle of a bunch of conical stone pillars pretty close to shore.
On the shore were several glowing (what I assume are) spawners. And started getting pelted by flaming arrows, and something was on the ground under the boat attacking it.
I was able to get a bench up on the pillar, but fell in the water, and couldn't get out.

My boat was stuck, I was stuck, and eventually I boiled to death trying to take out the archers.

SO! I built another boat from a safety portal just outside the red ocean, and came back down.
The situation was the same, only now I had no gear. I was trying to get to my body and died again. Two boats pretty close to each other.

All that said:
Any tips for the initial landing and set up?
Or is it just a tricky thing?
I can go elsewhere but I don't know how different another landing zone would be.
I have some backup gear, but don't know how helpful it will be.

You might be able to find texture packs, but a lot of them are no longer supported.

I do used to know how to do it because I recall myself deleting a couple of boulders with “force delete rock” or something similar to that.

Depends on what you want to do.
Me and my buddy make a seaside meadows base that we use to show off our spoils and be like a chill base.
We then look for a plains island that is big enough, to put a decent base on, have some lox running around but not too big so that we can spawn proof it.
After that we will look for a mistland island to build a shroom farm on that we can also spawn proof.

You will need some iron for a stonecutter, and a longship will help a lot in reaching ashlands early. I'm not even sure if it is possible with a karve.

If you really want to go to ashland soon I would make sure you have the materials for a stonecutter, a karve or a longship and materials for a few workbenches.
Sail into the hot waters, check the health of your boat and how quickly it degrades, hop onto a rock put a workbench down, repair and keep going don't salvage the workbench.
When you make landfall look for a high rock, ruins or a morgen hill.
Put a portal down and protect it with stone so that it won't burn.
Go hunt for a morgen nest and get the cores and get the hell out of there.

honestly the easier strat for sailing into the ashlands is just use your boat as a means to get to a spire, then bridge across from spire to spire with 2x2 wood floors

only thing you have to worry about is vultures

repairing while sailing is pretty risky and can easiy falter and fail

also fun fact voltures are afraid of a torch so that's an easy way of just ignoring them
