A lot of players do that, yeah. Essentially you just name your portal and “dial in” to whatever portal you’re trying to teleport to. Others make ‘permanent’ portals using a hub.

Cloudberries are used a lot for the plains biome and beyond

There are a couple resources that are used from pretty much all biomes throughout the game.

You’ll find yourself visiting previous biomes a fair amount more than likely

Hey folks. This is my first time attempting to get to Ashlands. I have played the game quite a bit at this point and have not encountered even 1 sea serpent yet. However, the Ashlands seem to be gated by Bonemaw(?). Am I getting unlucky or are these things everywhere?

You could try disabling the mod and try attack again.

Normally they will turn hostile if you attack them directly or any structures inside their ward's proximity.

In my experience they will attack right away if you break anything like those tissue boxes or the component crates.

They might warn if accidentally hitting any other structure that doesn't break.

I removed all the nearby trees and rocks, the only thing i can think off is the hitboxes for copper are in general larger and theres either still some connecting to the surface but not visible or the bottom of the ground also has a connection point

Recently people started talking about a way of harvesting silver in the way that you uncover only a very small piece of it and then you break that one piece, since that was the only thing that was connecting the vein to the surface the vein is technically floating underground (not touching any support nor surface) and thus it breaks 🙂

Pierce resist gets you far more dmg reduction to pierce than 20 armor. And Ashlands seems to have a lot of it

Resistances armor wise, they’re only good against one type of damage, rest deals quite a bit. But honestly if you have flametal leggings & helmet with root harnesk, you have quite a good defense & 50% resistance to one damage type. It’s still really good 3 biomes later

Not possible with vanilla Valheim, I'm afraid. If there's not a last-logged-out point stored with your character, the game will start you in the center.

Melee weapons are pretty effective. He doesn't do a ton of damage and his melee attack animation is very slow so you can easily block it or move out of the way

hey guys i was just wondering about something. me and my friendgroup startet playing again and went to ashlands biome. we found some caves lately with some cool loot for statues. so after building these statues at some places something weird happend. i build it closely under a roof and after i sat on it and went back off it teleportet me up on the roof. so my question is ... is it possible to build an elevator with this weird interaction? like ... if you just stack more roofs ontop of each other would you be able to quickly get ontop of a tower or something?

Hello! I remember someone researching stone dropping mechanics, and what makes digging the ground drop stone, but I can't find it anywhere

It basically said that there are no stone nodes below ground and it had something to do with altitude but I really don't remember the details I swear I saw someone here explain everything last year I think it was kirilloid

There is a limitation that 2 star boars can’t spawn too close to starting area. I vaguely think it is 800m, can’t remember exactly.

So most people play meadows close to spawn, so no 2 star boars in most of their meadows play.

Hence a skewed experience for 2 star of boar vs leaches, since almost all swamp is outside the 2 star exclusion zone.

I mucked around with it once - might work. The cart doesnt take damage from ashwater because its not a boat. Main issue is time, along with if a Bonemaw spawns your screwed

The other option is build a bridge using the underwater technique and iron pillars

Or if you are allowed 'glitches' - you could glitch out of an infested mine, then use a feather cape and float down to Ashlands - but its meh

oh that's for sure, tower shields slow you insanely down (-20% iirc) and the stun bonus will make you obliterate big guys (not bosses ofc) in way less time

While theyre staggered you get 2x damage
Some enemies like bosses are immune
But with good enough stats you can also parry a troll

If you plan to parry everything i recommend using a buckler
It gives you 2.5x times better block stats when parrying
