You can get a few hits in before the brutes even trying to hit you they take awhile to path and wind up. Knowing he’s running up on you you can kind of pre plan your movements. Like approach shaman, hit, hit, roll away etc

It's not fully covered, it's mostly covered but there is 4x4 (or 4x2 i don't remember which) I have left uncovered and sorta built a tower thing up on that part to deter anything from getting in. Though I doubt bats would fly that high up anyways, it's more of a safety measure

Have a couple of foods that give good hp/tick like serpent stew and prepare some healing and stamina potions. Also take a frost resistance mead before the fight. I think it gives better protection agains the frost damage than the cloaks/chest armors.

Just bring the copper/bronze you need for forge and a couple of upgrade stations with you. Put up a portal in the hole after you dig out a silver vein, teleport in some kilns and smelters, and just process everything on the spot, put up forge with upgrades for level 5, and you can make max level armour and most of the weapons up to level 3 on the spot.

You can have one central portal and just change the name to connect to portals scattered around the world if you want.

Saves space compared to having a portal hub, but is less practical since you have to remember to change the name all the time.

It's common to have a "pocket portal", i.e. mats for a portal that you have in your inventory and set it up as needed, then when you're done with whatever you did at the other end of it you deconstruct it and put it back in your backpack.

This requires having a dedicated portal for that purpose at the other end though, usually in your base.

Idk of any that are pretty fresh I haven’t looked a lot the last couple weeks but before that I checked out a lot and the one I liked the most was war of wolves but they have groups progressing at different speeds and are pretty established. The owner does custom events like an island with a bunch of troll spawners. They also spawn in things like muddy scrap piles so the swamps don’t run out

Not everyone’s cup of tea but it was really fun to check out

I got super lucky on that front as I do know servers that have links to other servers as a gate keep, so if I had joined during that hacking event, I may have mistakened those links as the official site and either been infected or scammed

Frostner's frost damage increases with each level, which is one of the main reasons for its viability in mistlands

You can prolly get away with it still but upgrading would be much better

depends if they chased you there or were they already there when you went. also if they were spawned during night or raid, they'll despawn at day or when raid is over

For corpse retrival I suggest using first boss ability to quickly pick your grave and run, i don't usually prepare for fights on corpse runs and you easily outrun most enemies

You gain a buff called corpse run for 50 seconds once you retrieve the gravestone, it makes you very resistant to all physical damage

use that time to equip your weapon and shield and bonk the deathsquito lol

even rag armor or such will have a substantiable effect on the damage

armor is a flat reduction until 50% of damage value

a little tip for deathsquitoes in case you don't know, you don't need to parry them in full mt/plains gear. A normal block stuns them longer sorta.
