if i remember correctly, the intent was that each chunk would be a warzone whenever you got there, followed by a lil break to catch your breath once you've cleared it before the spawn attempts kick in again, but doing that through spawn attempt cooldowns alone doesn't account for folks who take a while to clear one battle, i almost never got those lil breaks, it was just back to back battles 😅
-# certainly not helped by my instinct to go rest up at home and sleep the night away before heading out again, almost guaranteeing that each chunk would be ready to throw hell at me again

I've managed to tame 2 star one in 3 4 worlds.

They hit like trains.

First time it took 15ish nights, second time I found it almost right away in 2nd night and third time was purely luck - I managed to quickly dig a pit next to claimed fortress, threw foods there and quickly lured it there and just in time before night ended the taming started.

And 4th time it took some nights, maybe 5ish.

I think it depends on where your family originated, what customs they brought with them

A compass is nice, as long as it stays a certain distance from large metal objects. And in particular those being powered through electricity.

What might be more useful is learning how to use an analog watch as a compass.
My late grandfather taught me once how to do that, but with the sign density in this country it isn't really needed, so I have forgotten.
Another thing you can do is watching shadows as the sun will always be in the same quadrant each time of the day.
When you know the sun's position, you will also being able to figure out where the North is and once you do that, you know which side of your body is East or West.

After that, navigating is easy.

And general rule: if you make the same turn 3 times in a row, you always end up at your starting point. 😉

we dropped from 215679 members down to 119498 members.
The french script-kids got hold of 1 of our accounts which didn't have access to anything internal in the company, and then they got hold of another discord account aswell which didn't have any access either 😅

They where basicly running the discord purge command 100 times purging 1000 members at the time with their own bot they invited.
The hack was a long long chain of discord server hackings that had gone on for a few days. so they didn't target this discord specificly. it was just a sad accident of trusting people that was the target of attack :/

Howdy, wiki mod here, this is the short version, but this explains most of it. Generally, how official wikis work is devs can tell Fandom to allow the official tag on the home page or they reach out to Fandom saying that this is the place the devs will use.

There are other wiki options for sure, and it's not impossible to change websites, but the problem is two-fold. As for moving elsewhere, the big issue is Fandom’s size and SEO. Even if the devs made or endorsed a new wiki, Fandom wouldn’t disappear, and it would still be the first result most players click. I've been noticing time differences like that for a while now, and I do not use mods.

Mountains can take a really long time. With a storm or not.

Swamps some times take a long time, and I move that portal around a lot, from crypt top to crypt top.

As I posted this I realized it loaded right away when I walked through the portal backwards... But it's sounding like play with it until it works lol

It does seem to be location dependent, I just don't know how much, or little, you need to move it to get it to transfer you faster.

Transfer times are much longer for my wife, so part of it is dependent on how powerful your system is.

If you discovered her you shoulda interacted with her table at that point tho. I find the mountains with the hildr frost caves tend to be pretty good, and at least there's one guaranteed cave

Teleporting always takes 8 seconds at minimum and may take longer if it takes longer to load the zones at the target destination. So yes, it depends on both, the target destination and on how powerful your system is.

Yeah, but it only started taking excessive amounts of time in the last 5 months or so. Like my wife can take over 30 seconds to get through.

The cpu is probably going to be the deciding factor, gpu shouldn't matter. Does the time frame align with some new location you are traveling to? Like a very large base or the ashlands?

No, as I mentioned before, mountains seem to be the most problem area on a regular basis. But we also notice it a lot in swamps, as we move from crypt to crypt. Pretty sure its been an issue in every biome.

Via Steam most of the time. Some times we play with friends via G Portal and the like.

If you have an old laptop or old hardware, it's relatively easy to set up a headless server.

Welllll sorta? One of the reasons for them is actually for development + testing of our game server management software, so we're making sure that more game servers can be run on ARM based hardware
