Valheim is just a game where its flexible. I play a lot solo, i also play in groups, but its flexible because we can choose to push or to build, and to stop playing for a few months altogether. Me and some friends kind of took our time and finished a very hard run, so we are just chilling until deep north come. We did start a new seed and plot down some basic fences and a simple house because we usually restart the whole thing with a big biome update

I used to be good with recycling bottles at the store since we get paid to do it.
You get 2 cents per bottle and in 2026 that will increase to 3 cents for a 1.5L bottle.

At one point I just started putting everything in big black plastic bags in the cellar.

Yeah, many do that, having multiple antler pickaxes for easier repair with workbench.

I usually bring forge (and few upgrade) materials with me to the first swamp trip so I can make a small outpost for smelting iron and crafting iron gear there.

Most of the time you can move closer and make sure there's a super simple path and they snap back on you, but sometimes they're completely unresponsive and go to the ocean/destroy your base instead :(
