No, you can use your base in the first biome all the way to endgame, sometimes you will have to make at least a little outposts for farming biome specific stuff tho.

No under surface stuff is possible due to how terrain works sadly, but except that... It will take however long you want to spend on it, you can gather all materials by hand or use "creative mode" using commands. That will greatly affect how long it takes, also it will take some time getting to know and learning how to use all the build pieces, the further in game you progress the more you will unlock. So really depends and clear answer is not possible. 🙂

I usually make a sap farm with whisplights and at minimum usually 4-5 extractors and a wooden path between them with stairs like a loop

2 maps ago I had the farm 95% mistfree even without lights, found a nice mistfree area with roots

No, it does if you visit too often, it slowly regenerates if you suck it dry

Sometimes it's suspended so one good smack on the skull (like the archeologist gif) will have it collapse instantly

works like ore deposits, both skull and brain (as separate entities tho) you can even mine the whole skull without touching the brain and you'll have a nice, intact brain floating in midair

The crates at all of the dverger spots can have tissue in them.

Their mining sites sometimes have a skull in them.

Attack the crates or attempting to mine a skill in the bounds of their location will turn them all against you though.

if you're lucky enough to get the ward shattered by mobs you can destroy remaining crates without angering dvergr, some players use a bit "cheesy" tactics to destroy the ward unpunished tho
