Going around reading people's thoughts on the mistlands biome as a whole. 1 sentiment that I read that was interesting is that they expected "magic, magic, ouuuuu" and it was just fighting starship trooper bugs while I'm blind and no stamina

It's not far off. The Dvergr are a great help until you inadvertently hit one of them in the face and they all turn against you. Without stamina you will basically be immobile, if you're not already being destroyed by ticks; even your resource objects like petrified bones are infested with them. Featherfall cape is a necessity. And, your progression makes every other biome exponentially harder at night.

Actually having a use for capes with cold resist or the fenris/wolf armor chest would be awesome, as well as having the feather cape be useful if you don’t want the Ashlands cape perks. Make it an actual choice rather than just “this cape has everything”

Quick clarification, the ashlands biome is already in the game, the dev’s laid out all the biomes they wanted when setting up the game.

Yes, the ashlands will be updated and generate when the update drops, but if you have already generated a portion of the Ashland’s by visiting the biome, that specific section of your map will never get updated

So don’t go visiting ashlands now 😅

if you do not see any obsidian on a mountain, it will not have any silver since obsidian spawns lower than silver

No, it'll be the same as with any previous patch (well, slightly different since the terrain around Ashlands will be changed, but just avoid going near Ashlands and that won't be noticeable).
