if you don't have a gun i personally would not go there, but a basher can be enough if you're really good at getting out of the way. Its gonna depend on your skill level in your case by the sound of it

Going ahead and increasing the UObject limit wont affect anything so you can do so anytime. Just keep in mind that increasing it can cause instability as the developers havnt really optimized it past that 2.14 million engine limit. BUT that being said, I have had my UObject limit increased across all saves for years with no issues. Just one of those things that can be dependent on hardware/software.

definitely great hardware! I think the first thing that would become a bottleneck would be the 32gb of ram as my current small save hovers around 50-60gb of ram (Its a 49mb save file so quite small compared to my others).

I set mine to 100 million and have only ever hit 55 million. Its so incredibly difficult to even hit 10 million UObjects though. Most cant stand the 10-15fps you get to when around 10 million UObjects XD

32gb of ram is more than enough for the average player though

Yeah there are memory leaks that can build up especially after lets say even a few hour game session. My current save will go from fresh loading in at just over 3 million UObjects to over 5 million after 6 hours, but reload the save takes it back down to the 3 million.

Unfortunately nothing really you can do, just have to reload the save (Quit completely to desktop, not just main menu) every few hours if you are noticing a performance drop.

Yeah upping the limit wont help performance. Just will keep the game/engine from crashing once it reaches the unreal 5's UOBject limit of 2.14 million. But I do know a way that might help performance (And this goes for anyone else reading this even if you have great performance), Are you using steam or epic games to play Satisfactory?

okay, right click Satisfactory in your game library, then hit properties. That shoult open in the Satisfactory general tab, at the bottom of that tab you see "Launch options" with a space to enter something below it. Enter -USEALLAVAILABLECORES in the launch options and restart steam. That code forces the engine to use any cores of your CPU to assist in CPU intensive games like Satisfactory. So if you have a 12 core CPU, Satisfactory will only really use 8-10 cores. With that code active, it will spread the load more evenly across all cores and that will also help your CPU run cooler under intensive loads. Everyone I have shared this with sees about a 25% increase in performance no matter what.

I have literally used that code for years so there isnt any ill effects on your hardware either. 🙂

I would. Even if youre getting 90fps, that code could push you over 110fps. And someone with 20fps, it will push them to 30+. It really helps your cpu run better overall.

Yep, with an 8 core CPU, Satisfactory and the unreal engine will only use like 5-6 cores leaving a few for background processes and things. Most of the time, those extra cores arent doing anything so using that code puts them to work easing the load on the others so will make the game run a lot better.

Yeah it wont change the UObjects, just make the CPU run a little smoother. Though 129k UObjects is incredibly small so definitely nothing to worry about. Once you start hitting 1.5-2 million UObjects, thats when you can consider increasing the entity limit.

Ok so I have a splitter manifold system on the back of 13 constructors, all going to one side. They only use 195 of the 780 I have on this belt. if I put it in one end and put a smart splitter on the end of the manifold, can it send ALL of the excess down the line?

If a 1 minute sample is representative, then it's accurate. But if you have items coming through in bursts every 20 seconds, or worse, every few minutes, then any time you just look at it, it'll be way off.

But it is perfectly accurate if you measure it over a long enough time period

Both work, just depends what you feel like. I'm going turbo heavy fuel with a few alt recipes but one pure oil node can power like 176 generators so I'm sure I can drop a few generators to just have some excess turbo fuel as needed.

I have the PC version of Satisfactory on Epic and I believe I have my friend who introduced me to Satisfactory as a friend on Epic.
I plan on buying Satisfactory on PS5, my main way of playing soon.
And he plans to buy it on Xbox soon.
So we should be able to play since we are friends, to my knowledge, on the Epic platform.
What if we weren't and didn't have access to a PC or Mac?
Can you control and add people as friends on Epic without the epic launcher?
What would people who don't use PC at all do?
