if possible you probably want to directly go into the seed of ekkidrasil setup as it contributed a lot to tankiness with ~1100 mana

It's a random drop like the other crafting materials. There may be a CoF Prophecy for it or something in the Weaver's Tree to help get more. I know the green loot lizards have an increased chance to drop one

If you're asking if there is a "spread speed" stat : there is not. Im also not sure what spell you are talking about, i assumed youre talking about spirit plague because there is no soul plague spell. Spirit plague witg no skill tree only spread on death.

There is multiple methods to having it spread in its skill tree, from critting the target to reducing its duration.
