I made a paladin warpath and dropped a very fun unique sword at like level 12 or smth, it makes me cast smite automatically almost every melee attack
now i'm at level 60 and I have no idea if a weapon is an upgrade for it or not

the pain of having decided on a build you are going to play in the new big patch already and you are itching to play it so bad you are considering starting it already
unfortunately without the patch notes and the new systems, we can only speculate. It could be possible that most of the builds will need to be heavily retouched or re-theorycrafted
As it should be with a cycle reset. But if you arent trying to be on top of the meta curve...doesnt matter too much. EHG doesnt make a habit of nuking builds into the ground
if the build im planning on making gets unplayable i would just go back to one of my current characters instead (unless they too become unplayable)

lets say i get the poison resistance shred from multiple stacks on the enemy, then i also have poison pen and then i also have aura of decay (only for reducing their resists, not for dealing damage) would i hit a cap somewhere where i have too much?

It's a bit of a grind. Only as hard as it is for you to grind T4 Julra.
(Unless you get lucky of course)

On CoF is not that difficult. With decent build you can get 1-2/h. but it may take a bit longer to get one with a decent conversion roll. And even longer to get lucky with the slam on it
I’d say you are looking at ~20h of doing Julra nonstop on average if you want to get one with decent roll

So if a Nemesis has an Egg of the Forgotten as one of the items in the UI, you have a few options,
- Banish: Egg does nothing, Nemesis disappears
- Challenge: The Egg will become a random Unique that drops when you defeat the Nemesis
- Empower: The Egg will become a random Unique, and when you defeat the Nemesis it will flee. On your next fight with it, that Unique will have been upgraded
- Swap: You can swap the Egg for a 0LP Unique you have (including any in your Stash), then Challenge or Empower the Nemesis. Your Unique will then get upgraded and returned
but how can i get the one in my stash, if i portal out my monolith is gone right?
There is a stash icon so you dont have to carry uniques in your inventory... buuuut with the memory leak quite active for a lot of players, opening stash to put unique to Nemesis egg can be pretty laggy, so better make sure there are no enemies that can kill you while you're loo king for the item

its not the time, its the constantly doing it. with echos they are at least somewhat different. i just like to get into the "endgame" content and be a grindy boy. which is why i enjoyed replying d3 and d4 seasons. got straight into things instead of having to do the same campaign for like 100th time, especially if i make multiple chars. yes there is the dungeon skip but you still have to have a key and get to that point to be able to skip.
we are getting the ability to swap mastery in next season so that might help you do less campaign
With multiple chars, you should have nice low lvl uniques that help you lvl up alts way faster and easier

If you want to do the endgame...just play legacy?
new seasons are meant to play the NEW content not the same campaign for the 100th time. so if the new content is new chapters then great id be happy to redo the campaign but if its not and just mainly new echos or dungeons or bosses etc then why would i want or have to do it over again. like i said before diablo did a fantastic job with this. do campaign once and if YOU WANT to you can replay it if not you can get right into things. going to legacy i would still have the same issue. if i make a new char i would still have to redo the campaign. i thoroughly enjoy starting over in new seasons to try the new content but absolutely loath redoing a campaign ive done and read through and listened through 100 times before. Im totally fine with it taking lets say 6 hrs to level to monolith level as long as its not having to do the campaign again. so lets say unlock all waypoints and i can just go to zones and kill mobs or have echos level scale until you get to what the level they are by default( kinda like rifts in d3). ANYTHING to NOT have to redo the campaign again and again and again unless there are new chapters.
Legacy gets the same content in LE. You arent missing anything
sure i am. im missing new leaderboards, starting fresh with friends, if i play the AH faction, it restarting, etc. if i wanted to play just standard then i would. like i said before i thoroughly ENJOY starting over. not sure what you aren't getting. having to do a campaign over and over and over again isnt a fun or enjoyable thing.
Adventure mode is... well, when d3 introduced it, they basically deleted the campaign. Adventure mode was faster, so everyone did it.
A smaller team shouldn't be expected to spend their effort on a campaign and then create a system to just invalidate it
that's why i asked if they ever would. i didnt expect it to come out tomorrow. was wondering if there was any talks of adding it in the future. and also everyone still gets to experience the campaign and their hard work. if it were like lets say SWTOR where you had choices to make within your story that changed then that would be different. but its the same thing over and over and over again. no different choices no new dialogue
oh since there is dungeon skipping your point is a little bit mute since you can still skip some of their efforts with the campaign.

Overall going through the story in LE should be a bit better in 1.2 and most likely even better in 1.3 whenever that one launches... still takes several hours I guess, but still way easier and faster than PoE or Grim Dawn
poe is pretty fast. poe 2 on the other hand yikes! i mean even if they added like a click through or space bar through dialogue like poe 1 that would help but having to click the choices sucks
LE is even faster than PoE, and you don't need to even really do the whole LE campaign as it is now. It's probably the best new character experience of all ARPGs currently for me. Hopefully it will continue to get better with alternate stuffs.

@sterile sable the campaign takes like 5 hours max if you know what you're doing (without any leveling gear), people probably can do it even faster.

again i understand it doesn't take that long to do. it usally takes me around 4-6 hrs depending without skips. that isnt the issue. how many times must i say i dont want to have to do it again and again. it could take an hr and my response would still be the same.

the game isnt a RPG. it has the same story and same dialogue. no different choices or paths to make it different. which is why it is an ARPG. if i wanted to play a campaign game id go play something like BG where my actions actually make a difference and change the story. so there is replay ability. where as ARPG it is all based on grinding and the "endgame"

How long should it be to speedrun until lvl 70 starting with gear on lgc? 2-3h is good or nah?
It could be 50hrs as long as I don't have to run the campaign again. I just want to kill hordes of mobs and get gear not follow the same campaign again to get to the grinding part.

Starting a new season you won't really have that option right away. I just don't want to have to do the same old story again if I don't have too. Weither that be dungeon skips or not. If they come out and say they will never add a full skip then that's fine and I would shut up haha. I did same thing with Poe and they stated they would never add a skip. So I just keep it too myself with the frustrations about having to do it yet again. I just want to map haha

We do know that distance scales Shade drop-rates, it's possible there is some defined "minimum distance" for certain drops but to me it seems more likely that it just scales by some amount
He always drops at least a ring (3 if you are cof)
Also if you've only dropped 1 belt your sample size probably isn't big enough to properly determine anyway

Just another pointer but crit avoid is kinda either 100 or 0, if you don't want to randomly die, iirc crits roll 2x damage by default so if you do get one it's going to have much bigger spike damage than you would see from uncapped resists etc.
Being capped crit avoid OR high crit damage reduction is probably the #1 defense priority in LE.
Also that unlike most other ARPGs LE calculates resistances assuming 75% monster pen. That essentially means that in LE 70% resists vs 75% means you take 5% more damage unlike other arpgs where you would take 20% more.
Usually I prioritize other layers of defense before worrying about res cap
I try to get around 50% ish quickly than I add other layers

I think they're just similar. Lots of ARPGs have "stay in the circle" type of events. PoE had a whole league, Ritual, in 2021 involving staying in the circle which was later also added to the base game and is in PoE2 as well. Edit: Ultimatum League as well was staying in the circle.
D4 released in June 2023.
Last Epoch's was available in early access a long time. I started playing in 2022 and I'm pretty sure those were in the game back then. The EA was going on a lot longer than that, though, since 2019. But I don't know when that particular beacon was added to the end game monoliths.
They were added when mono webs were introduced, which was a reeeally long time ago

You mentioned Lich earlier. Death Seal can cast Hungering Souls automatically with the Devouring Souls passive. Although Death Seal does have a CD, so it's not up 100% of the time.

Cut connections on necrotic resistance and chthonic fissure so this mastery can get out of control from stacking necrotic resistance and a series of problems bring by single resistance is overwhelming.

(Both of warlock and runemaster is mastery I enjoyed so much before I figure out the essence of how to running their builds and I can't go on enjoying after I learnt more)

no definite confirmation from what i know of no, but what else could it mean? that it replaces a stat on the unique item with a weaver stat? that could potentially brick a unique, considering this can be done with uniques too not only legendaries based on the wording of the text
so being able to sacrifice a unique/legendary of the same type (or even the same item itself) to being able to reroll the numerical values seems like a nobrainer and massive quality of life
even if what you can reroll doesnt include the legendary stat itself
Well in the ask devs, a week ago Mike stated that the amount of LP could go up or down from this process iirc
I'd be happy if it was a "reroll numerical", but I think it might be something totally different
it also works on set items so maybe what it does is different for different types of items
from that it sounds to me like it rerolls the item completely

That would mean your chance of success is 1 in (Chance for good roll * Chance for correct LP or whatever * etc)
It is another chance to get desired LP and/or roll on otherwise "bricked" uniques. It will drive attainable LP values up.

Sure it's still a win, I am just saying it would be annoying if rolling LP hypothetically would also force you to roll the numeric values. For some items (Like Prismatic Gaze, Strands of Souls, etc.) a bad roll makes the item basically trash, for other items the roll barely matters at all.
It just means that depending on the uniques your build uses you could have a harder time reroll than a different build with equivalently "rare" uniques
i frequently get uniques that have trash roll but more than 1LP, meanwhile i get super nice roll on items with 1LP or no LP
zero LP you can use with Nemesis
Yeah, no cherry picking good rolls like we can with nemesis. But any bad rolls can be thrown in to get closer to your goal. Even if it's a good roll with no lp, nemesis it up. Or if it's bad both way, just go again. You wouldn't use it anyway.

Playing a Blast Rain MM build. Just finished all Harbingers, so can do level 300 corruption. I've had my butt handed to me twice by Aberroth when attempting the fight. I can get by the start with the 2 Harbingers. Then I start firing at Aberroth as he comes down. The whole area gets funky and I die. This is before he does the arena wide thing so it isn't that. I'm staying behind him. It says I'm killed by Physical and Void dmg. My Void resistance is capped but Physical is at 72%. Should I get Physical resistance to cap and beyond and try again ?
72% vs 75% is only 3% more damage taken

Armor helps with phys, also just getting more ward / hp / etc
while he is charging his mace slam, there is only a small section the the arena where you can stand...normally in front of him. then he does the mace slam/timewave

I think you can bypass some lower tiers by greatly overleveling them, don't remember specifics though
that must be new then, because I remember needing to do T1 lightless at some high level, then getting someone to taxi me into a T4, doing it and unlocking all of the tiers

Sorry for the confusion. I need to defeat the last Harbringer right now, which requires 300 corruption. He's too strong for me to handle, but I want to farm him for the items I need to get stronger. I lowered my corruption to 200, but I can't fight him anymore, possibly because of the Forgotten Knights faction quest.

After clearing the quest, each harbinger does still need a higher corruption, but it could be just +1 higher than the last one

No, once you get the "formal" kill (i.e., guaranteed eye, checks the box on Forgotten Knights menu), you can lower corruption to 100 or whatever and grind endlessly
If the harbinger is checked off on FK and you can't get it to spawn at 100c, that is a pretty serious bug, please report it

Id say t4 bosses are kinda dps check, you dont really want to be there for way too long

she has a skill that turns her into a training dummy for like 6 seconds

Lagon isn't hard but the harby with all the stuff plus small arena is annoying

you can also position lagon harb into the corner in such a way that she doesnt move too much
no such luck with thin harb on bigger arenas
Worst harb for me is Harton's, the whole ground is just purple and I don't know what's going on lol
I just run away on the other end of arena, avoid void charging aoes from ground and its fine... and definitely gotta kill the Idols of Ruin before harb spawns 😄

Yeah, hate it. I farmed Lagon one a lot for black blade and never felt it was nearly as bad

Assuming you have no leveling gear probably. Just make sure you have some added flat damage and it pretty much oneshots everything.
I think FC could potentially be used early since the damage scaling is technically higher than Glacier with a few nodes allocated

So I actually have done some testing on this. Because of the Mastery respec coming, every character can level as a Sorc which means you can always get that massive 30% more damage when you get your mastery, and also as well the fire and forget nature of glacier tends to be better for speeding through the campaign.
Volcanic orb is ok too
but usually using a glacier, tping to the next screen feels a lot better than having to cast frost claw a few times in a row because the area isn't as big as glacier's is early on
also you can spec Frost Claw to give your glacier like 144% pen and aoe early on
I can't speak for pre spark charge but I know post level 51 it's not even close, FC by a Mile

Well it's not about one shotting, dps is there absolutely, but the nature of the skill. It's a delayed damage that feel off. Esp with fast moving or frequently teleporting enemies and bosses.
when you are leveling that is barely a factor
almost everything crawls or is super slow
and while your running through monoliths to empowereds, the strategy currently is to kill big packs on the way to the boss/objective and ignore enemies you don't wnat to deal with
you usually teleport/run straight pass stuff like Ospirix raiders cause they aren't worth killing
If you do big one first it's not so delayed
we just dont have easy access to this version because we don't have access to gamblers fallacy because people kept abusing it for infinite gold

It's a pretty big investment to get that high and it's generally more efficient to solve it with cheese
a good example, base tornado costs like 30 mana or something. Base avalanche costs like 50. One skill does significantly more for each point of mana than the other

You shouldn't be wasting them on regular monoliths, better use them on Empowered so you can farm bosses or something
yes and no, I have no problem with boss, but on empowered also Harbingers spawn which is problematic for me at the moment, wanted to farm quickly the boss on normal mode, but in my opinion Envy does not work correctly here
there is a check box when you click the timeline boss fight that turn of the spawning for harbingers in empowered
Once empowered is unlocked for a timeline, Glyph of Envy will always upgrade the empowered difficulty for it.

5 levels (or more) on bladedancer's passive tree. You can't do that until you've chosen any of the classes (story progression).

real answer: this is not a realistic expectation to have, as you need to invest an insane amount of time to get here and it doesn't pay off at all.

from leveling up. you can put points into any of the four trees.
nope you get 113 points from quests and leveling in total that you can spend wherever, so long as you meet requirements (i.e. you need 20 points in basic rogue to put points in the other ones)

Why do you want 7K+ corruption? Just for the challenge? Even if a build "can" do it, it most likely isn't "worth" doing from a reward per time standpoint
That said, anything that can currently do anywhere close to 7K corruption now is most likely prime nerf target for 1.2 anyway lol
But yeah you really don't want to rely on survivability to push absurd amounts of corruption, because even if you are immortal, if your damage is bad it will just take way too long to be reasonable. Glass cannon (eg. Ballista Falconer) is better

you are correct, corruption scales rarity. The problem is that getting more items in less time also results in rarer things indirectly

their goal is to have 300 corruption as reasonable endgame content, any build that can push 3k is absurdly OP by that metric and should be nerfed straight into the ground
that said, it's very unlikely - going by the entire past history of this game - that they are either committed or capable of actually balancing the game
so maybe some of the most OP builds will get a light slap on the writs

300 with the right uniques, 1k with high lp legendaries. That's just the extra stats slammed. Sounds about right. I would expect Uber abberoth to also sit around there.

idk 1K is not "that" different that 300 or so tbh, a "normal build" with enough time invested will go beyond 300
unless you change how difficulty scaling works its hard to say 300c is balanced but 1000c is completely busted

Probably because:
- LE balancing is kinda ass.
- 1k corruption is closer to a skill check more than a build check. If you can hit 500c you can hit 1kc in theory. But anything after is dps heck
300C is 3.8x more damage and hp, 1000C is 11.8x more damage and hp
When it comes to ARPG scaling / progression that's a pretty small difference
yeah, 330c is ~2.4x "harder" than 100c and 1000c is roughly 3.1x "harder" than 300c. It's a pretty comparable difference climbing from 100 to 300 as it is from 300 to 1000
the reason most players don't get to 1000c isn't because their build couldn't make it there but because they lost interest in doing the required farming to get there
that's what I am saying, if you take an "average build" with a "realistic" amount of investment and expect it to get to 300, then that same build with some T7 slammed uniques, some optimal base type exalts with the ideal affixes, maybe some well rolled idols, etc and add it up. boom 1000c
10 or 20% more damage and/or defense on each piece and suddenly your character is 3-4x stronger
yeah, it can be easy to feel like you're at the end of what your build can do because it's really easy to underestimate the net effect of a few small upgrades

If you want to play MG the gold you pick up, won't get you far. Either you manage to sell stuff, or you will not be able to buy much
Without MG trading (playing CoF then), you could take the inc% gold blessing from 1st timeline, buuuut I think its still way better to take inc% xp gained = more favour = more prophecies... picking up gold form ground and I try to sell sets and uniques that I dont want to keep to vendor (not really boss items bcz they're locked to 250g, screw that), but most uniques are like 500-2600g... not some crazy amounts, but it still helps a bit

It's not a matter of technical issue, it's a matter of overall game design and lack to commitment to having a balanced experience. Which is not necessarily wrong in some abstract sense, both can be a viable approach, but they should then stop signalling one and actually implementing the other
after all the game is (mostly) single player sandbox, they can say fu ck it, let shit be wild. But then they, again, need to drop communication in the vein of balance, ladders, reasonable goals etc

Honestly, I didn’t quite understand because I haven’t played the latest part. I only knew about joining the guild marchant, listing what I collected for sale, and once I reached rank 6 or 7, I go to buy the weapons I needed. Things were going well, but now I don’t know what they have changed. I hope there aren’t any restrictions that make trading difficult because, for me, the fun of the game is finding a rare item, selling it, and buying what I need. That way, I feel like I’m truly playing online with real players.
Hey everyone, iam currently trying to get rid of my stash mess from 1.0 and 1.1 and wanted to delete the categories of the stash. I emptied every tab of the category ( already triple checked it 😄 ), but i still cant delete it. I already tried relogging and changing zones, but i still cant delete it. Anyone knows a fix for this, or cant we delete "remove only" categories / tabs? Thanks!
there are FAVOR Farming video out there already. And even if those are old, they still work.
EHG won't likely change favor farming anytime soon. They might limited time buff for favor gain but reworking the whole Ranking might not be part of the plan yet.

So if it lets me I'm about to put four screen shots. The first is a showing of a full prophecies page all with unique prophecies. The 2nd is my best ability to show all the unique drops. The third is the prophecies page after the kill. There were two types of prophecies; kill general monolith boss's and kill emperor of corpses. And the fourth is all the bows that dropped as a non unique.
Kill gen boss: (once): x8 bow, x4 1hd sword, x8 2hd sword, x4 gen weapon,
Kill emp corp: x4 shield, x8 ranged, x8 2hd sword, x8 2hd sword, x8 2hd spear, x8 ranged, x8 wand
So that's ((8+4+8+4)+(4+8+8+8+8+8+8))x2(from 2 times prop drop CoF lvl 12)= (24+52)x2=76x2= which should be 152 unique's that drop.
What dropped x8 shields of possible 8, x48 2hd sword of possible 48, x9(and extra dropped from general global drop) 1hd sword of possible 8, x16 wand of possible 16, x9 bow(and extra dropped from general global drop) of possible 48, x18 2hd spear of possible 16, x5 boss drops, x4 gen wep of possible 4
The (3) 3lp's were, close call, triboelectra, alchemist's ladle (the baby spoon).
There was (7) 2lp's and (73) 1lp's leaving what should be 82 no lp uniques's but it was 29 leaving a shortfall of 40 missing unique's if i counted correctly and did my math correctly. All of which were bow.

100% its not a loot filter issue i looked at drops without it on
the bow uni/ranged weapon uni prophecies have been bugged from day one i just forgot about it. And sadly got shorted

That still work, but now we have few players in game, so if you find a good item probably those players won't need, cause there build is full or maybe have another item cheaper, we dont have meta now cause dont have a lot of players in game.
Such more players in the game, the easier it will be to sell your items for a good price.

Was just trying to help since the system isn't intuitive, if ones goal is to click reroll as little as possible because of arena / dungeon prophecies they don't want the best way to achieve that is with the 2x lenses. Otherwise you might as well also block campaign too even though it doesn't really do anything

Nice, my biggest issue with stash currently come from the fact that I will only play legacy. As the idea of throwing away all the time spent and loot gained ever few months is pure insanity to me. So I’ve been maxed at 200 stash tabs and even with a super struck filter and evil mad scientist level origination . This has cause 99% of 2lps and below to be ground candy and some of the more common uniques 3lp is also ground candy. But I can’t complain at anyone but myself as it’s my personal gaming preference to not play cycles/seasons .
I guess you just need to adjust your standards every so often and drop thousands of items on the ground xd
tbh though I think S2 will help with stash space a lot, we probably need to hoard fewer items if there are more opportunities to salvage / recycle

fulfilled 0/3 times means you can do the entire prophecy 3 times (3x the rewards)
the number on the event icon is how many times you need to do the objective per fulfillment, then the fulfilled line at the top is how many total times you can do the entire prophecy
Doing Julia is quick and easy. There is no level requirement. You could run T1 3 times and be done. Also you get to do legendary crafting after the fight. You achieve 2 things in one go. If your character can’t run Sanctum then the second prophecy would be better. If your character can do both then your call. If you’re don’t get the stats on a legendary crafting after you need to run Julia multiple times till you do anyway. Might as well combine it with a prophecy. If your character don’t need to craft legendaries than go with #2.

I found it quite nice to nice another face than Mike (nothing against Mike he is the 🐐)
Ross works on a lot of high level creative direction kinda things. He helps make sure everything is cohesive and moving towards the same goal. He's contributed to lots of different areas of the game and has a really good eye for ensuring the "game feel" is in a good place.
Holly is the principle designer. She's been involved since the early days of LE and is who wrote a lot of the core systems that the game is based on (items, abilities, etc). She contributes in basically every area of the game from code to content. I've been learning a bunch about the item code from her lately.
Judd really does know how to find the best people and get them all working towards the same goal. We have an amazing team of super talented people who are all really into what we're building 
so what both of them did are something.... Every detail in game? Like how to optimize codes, how to do storytelling well, how to connect different maps, how to design UI for different places, how to make sure enemies not too easy and too hard for players, help thinking new idesa, help new people in EHG learn their jobs faster, help testing servers and figure out how much users current servers can take etc?
If someone just say "I help designed everything in game"... Man, it mean say nothing

BUT Cemetries are a specific mono you choose
tombs have a 50ish% chance of spawning in monos

where 75 damage come from
It's the 30% that was mitigated. 300/4 = 75
