Yeah, there's no need to worry about anything bypassing your ward
technically there's some map hazards that do, but they deal % current health damage so you'll be functionally immune to them
in lastepochtools the blessings page has Slot 1 and Slot 2 & 3 wat do those mean?
so in the first slot, it will only ever roll the three blessings in that.
slots 2-5, will always roll something in the second group
If you use the Tunk Lab page and select your timeline, it shows the effect of those weird slot limits by calculating the drop chance for each blessing for you, pretty handy

hello there! i have a question about armour! does +%increased armour work locally or globally? will +30% armour give my chest that has 100 armour 130, or will it increase my character's total armour from 1000 to 1300?

All stats are always global
There is no local stats in LE
For lp loot filter I don't know I'd have to check in game but can you not do

Hi I have a few questions of how increase to reduce effectiveness Cooldown works in LE. Does someone has tested the following examples ? or any similar situation ?
A few example:
- cooldown-like : on trigger per second (smite per second on idol for example) this kind i don't think so but maybe someone tested it.
- cooldown on passive? For example marksman has a some passive with cooldown : concentration and arrowstorm
- cooldown-like passive : elemental arrow per second ( i don't think so but if someone has tested)
- cooldown on subskill ? For example fissure on smite ( this one is hard to check it has 0.5s cd ) if you have an other example of a subskill with cd?
- cooldown-like triggered skill for example abyssal echo every 5s on warpath. Smite every second on warpath or javelin. Volcanic orb every 3 s on disintegreate. ( I don't think so but if someone tested it?)
- Cooldown for skill on item for example jade dust on lethal concentration? Decimate on void set? Storm sprite on tempest maw axe? Sacrifice with pact severance?
- cooldown for passive from item for example hakars phoenix companion resurrection ? Heal of Aurora times glass amulet ?
I'm pretty sure it's only cooldown on your hotbars... but I haven't tested anything u listed so I can't be too sure
cooldown reduction only changes skill cooldowns directly on the skill bar
Hey, are there any specific harbingers that are harder or more annoying to do than others? Got the Lagon one out of the way early and was wondering if there are others that would be smart to do in lower corruption
they all have varying stages of annoyance. lagons is pretty bad. gaspar's as well. spirits of fire can be if your defense is low

generally speaking, you just need better gear. you dont have a lot of hp, but you also dont really have a lot of ward/gen/retention...esp for a class thats very stationary with disintegrate.
your idols arent great either..way too many 1x1s
fire aura/dis isnt a super great build in the first place tho.
lots of your res is over capped
relic and belt are easy upgrades

you should do as high as you can while still being able to kill stuff fast

the chest you have is a terribly low base. it has low armor and no ohter implicits. getting a higher base with more armor and implicit, would be way better, even without the exalted affix
you should make an item filter for each of your item slots, as well as idols
if you found one, and just crafted on it, way better

6 times the armor, 10% ele dmg is basicly useless at that lvl, you are overcapped on fire res. you could easily craft a better chest on any better base

For idols. A ton drop but almost none seem worth it. Seems like the chances of getting a "pefect" idol that has both of the stats I want are super low.
this is how you do it:
1: add item type wand and scepter (both have spell dmg bases)
2: add affixes and select anything that could be useful (not just BiS stats, but anything. e.g. take both ele over time dmg % and fire dmg % and not just ele over time which is technically better)
3: add the part in the picture
it will be easier once you're higher CoF rank
yeah, idols are the true chase gear in the game tbh
but you can do alot better than all the 1x1's you have
yeah tbh ive kinda not been focusing on those.
about the filter, if you notice that there are too many wands/scepters dropping that are not a possible upgrade, you can do this:
- increase the number from 5 to something higher
- remove affixes
- select only wands and only the best base
this way, you can evolve the filter as you get better gear, until at the end you are only look for the specific base with the right tier 7, like this
but you can't use a filter like this from the start.
you need to slowly evolve it towards that as you get better gear.
and do this for every gear slot
so that you only have to look at items that are a possible upgrade for you
Yeah right now the loot lifter that came with the build is just showing every exalt on it even for stats I wont use.
Always better to make your own filter so you know what it's doing
People complain about downloaded filters all the time, it's really not difficult to make one

I'm looking to block items in the filter for Rogue that I don't want. I don't want to see white and blue items at all. I only want to see yellows if they have 2 prefix and 2 suffix values. Tried a few things but no luck so far. How can I set up a filter as outlined ?
A filter for white and blue is easy. Have that. It is the rare drops with only 2 prefix and 2 suffix I'm having a challenge with (ideally I'd be even more specific on what those are but one step at a time)
The bottom rule should says
Hide normal/magic/rare
And the above you Recolor specific kind of item with the affix you want

Show(or Recolor) Helm with xyz affixes
Get your affix list, then make it so that it only shows if it has at least 4 affixes from the affix list on all items.
So I would create an affix rule, pick the affixes I want, then choose 4 at the "with at least x of these affixes on the same item"
What about under advanced with tier and total affix tier - do I set those up as well or leave them alone for now ?
You can choose not to, it'll still do what you want, as long as in the same rule you set it to all rare items

I have a filter that is supposed to hide normal and magic items completely (Hide Rogue White and Blue Items). It isn't working. I'm still seeing both types. This rule is first so nothing should be overriding it.
A second filter is also not working (Show Rogue Rares with 4 affixes) - I'm seeing items with 3 affixes (no 2 affixes from memory). How do I get both filters so they are working as needed ?
You're hiding white and blue items that are rogue restricted. Anything else is shown.
As a result you are seeing all white/blue items that aren't a bow or a rogue helmet, chest, or relic.
The rule further down should take care on all other classes - rule 8. I shouldn't see any whites or blues - which is true, except for Rogue, where I am seeing white and blue still.
The second rule (2) only applies to Rogue gear - and rule 8 tskes care of other classes. I should only see Rogue yellows with 4 affixes
At no point are you hiding rogue rares that don't have 4 affixes, so you're just seeing all rogue rares
Similarly, at no point are you hiding non-class requirement normal or magic items, so I'm guessing that's the normal and magic items you are seeing
My affix filter - rule 2 - says to show Rogue rares with 4 affixes. That means don’t show a rare that has less than 4 affixes. But it is.
Rule 1 says hide all Rogue whites and blues - so the filter should be doing so. It isn’t.
Rule 7& 8 hides all non-Rogues items. Those are working as they should.
Your rule 2 is the second one you screenshot right? It's a show rule that keys on having 4 affixes. But nothing below it is hiding rogue rares at all. And the default for every item is show

No - they are all Rogue specific
Yes. Rule 2 says to show rares. You should not have to have a show and a hide rule. By definition if you create a rule that says show me something with a certain spec than that is implicit not to show anything that does not meet or exceed that.
If that isn’t the case I guess I’ll try a hide rule and see if that works.
It still doesn’t explain why I’m seeing white and blue when I have a hide everything rule for those.

Probably want to use that on a mage, I'd imagine.

As long as the unique is not mage-only, yes. If the unique is not class-locked and you apply a class-locked affix (for example, some +level to a sentinel skill affix), the resulting legendary will be class-locked.

Already happened. They basically changed the ward formula around.
Decay formula changed
Under 4k ward it decays slower than before
Over 4k ward it decays faster
I suggest split out hide rogue items and normal/magic items.
So
Rule:
- Hide all rogue specific items (you can add mage/primalist/acolyte too)
- Hide all normal/magic items (you can add rare too)
Then move all rules about hide items to the front.
Show xxxx items isn't necessary if you have rules about recolour something.
Hide rarity item rule don't work if they're at the bottom so you'll wish they're at the top. (The order of your rules will influence the result)
So it's the last version:
Hide normal/magic items
Hide xxxx specific items
Recolor xxxx items
You're done.
If your order is
Hide xxxx specific items
Hide normal/magic items
Recolor xxx items
Then the filter maybe don't hide normal/magic items sometimes. Not sure why... But just test by yourself and find the best one
yeah no wonder people make non ward builds only for the memes. thinking also how much difficult is to stack life against stacking ward, given the rarity of the mixed life affix and how much common are INT and ward retention

It also depends on the amount of access to ward you have.
Eg: Rogue effectively has none.
Ward retention outside of from int is actually really rare, and only given in small amounts
if i'm not wrong it's in a lot of bases and uniques? I never saw mixed life outside exalt affixes. While endurance and reduced damage stuff also benefits ward

Appreciate the idea. I have hide normal/magic for Rogue as top filter. It’s rule 1. I have also, as suggested moved all the hide item rules to the top. I am still seeing items I should not - that indicates a bug to me.
I will let at the recolour option and see if that helps with only displaying items with 4 affixes.
Emmm recolor items should work fine... After hide items you don't want to see.
Maybe it's a new bug brought by the engine update 😅
There is a way to see what rule is allowing an item to be shown iirc 🤔 If there is an item on the floor you shouldn't be seeing, open the Lootfilter menu (Shift+F) and hovering over the loot tag should show you the rule number. I'm gonna open my game and check that, brb

I have a 'Hide Quivers' rule, if I open the loot filter and press X you can see which rule is applying, but not to the Trident as I don't have a rule affecting that. Let me set one up
Now my Trident is recoloured but doesn't get an indicator number if I disable the filter, but if I hide my Trident instead of recolouring I do get a number
What are you trying to hide?
If a Rule states 'Show' you will also get a Rule Number
But, lets throw in an item that isn't covered under any rules - an axe! This item shows, without a Rule Number as it's not covered by any, so if the item you're seeing doesn't have a number - the rule you think is covering it, probably isn't
I want to hide all normal and blue items for Rogue character. To do so should be a simple "Hide this filter ..." I set that up but I still see normal and magic drop for Rogue, which should not happen
Let me fire up LE and do a run and see if I can see the rules being applied. Appreciate the screenshots. Makes it much easier to visualise.

OK, so I have the filter open. I have an item I should see and an item I should not see. We I press the X neither of them have a number next to them - which means neither of them have a rule being applied ?

Oh ok - back t osquare 1. If you open the filter, hover over an item and press X - it will only show you a number if a rule applies. If there is no rule applied at all then there is no number shown. How is it possible that no filter is applied at all out of the 20 that are there ?

Filter attached. I want to see Rogue items with only 4 affixes. I also specified the affixes I want to see in the drill down for the filter rule. I also want to see Rogue Exalted/Legendary/Set items - which I do with another rule. I don't want to see normal.magic items for Rogue at all and I do not want to see items with less than 4 affixes or items with 4 affixes which don't have the specific affixes I identified.
You mean they have 4 affixes in total, no empty slots?
Quick check: you aren't filtering for normal uniques/sets, correct?
Most uniques and sets in LE are not class locked.

Correct - as per my screenshot - a rare item with 2 dots on each side should show up. A rare item with 1 dot each side or 2 dots on one side and 1 dot on the other should not show up in the filter

Doing that will merge your Faction progress and allow your old chracter to see the Forgotten Knight progress

You can see them (Faction rank), but the Harbinger list is on a per-char basis. And in theory, you don't gain any faction bonuses from it until you pop at least one harbinger.
It might be simpler to go with a general 'Hide All' rule and a few 'Show this' rules
Another item - an exalted. This shows up as it should since there is a rule for it, but when I try to find which rule is applying, it does not show rule 6 is being applied 🤔
I see you have rearranged some of the rules, putting the exalted rule further down and the recolours (which are generic. I did not create them) higher up - correct ? Maybe I should give that a shot

Yes. I just opened the default filter I think and created a few new rules. Then I've moved rules up and down

Using two rules, you can see I get a Rogue only helm to show - I think you're better off creating a new filter, adding a generic hide all rule to the bottom then adding 'Show' rules above it that will override the 'Hide All'
it work without class specific requirements, it don't work with class specialfic requirements

It's a recolour rule and it is way down the list. So it is - annoying - recolouring a 4 prefix yellow items

Because I can see it not working. (You notice that the magic quiver, normal ring, and the 3 affix rare are not filtered.)

Yeah, you're only hiding class specific items, and not classless items, which include:
Weapons, off-hands, rings, boots, gloves, amulet, some relics, idols.
I think the 💡 has finally come on now with everyone's help.
Last thing - is there a recommended filter template I should start over with. I used the maxroll one, which didn't seem too bad, but maybe there is a better one to use for my purposes out there.
Realistically, from scratch. As most loot filters are made on a per-build basis.
The maxroll seems generic but I'll build from scratch and see if I can get it right now I understand some gear is class specific and some is not. Thanks everyone for the input and getting me across the line of understanding ... eventually 🤣

Pen and paper, and to be fair, that more multiplier is pretty specific so the sheet wouldn’t shown it anyway if it sticks to generic stats
you only need like 100% increased damage for 3% more to be equal to 6% increased, any more increased damage and the increase becomes worse and worse

I need to show rares so I can get gear upgrades in every slot. If I remove rares from rule 1 what is the best way to add only those rares in each slot that I want to see that have 4 affixes. Would the existing recolour rules cover these cases or do I need to create another recolour rule to cover all rares with 4 affixes (if that is possible and doesn't clash with the existing ones) ?
imo 3-affix rares are better than 4 unless those 4 happen to be all exactly what you'd want, the empty affix means you can craft whatever prefix or suffix (depending on which is empty) you want for the 4th affix
I usually show rares for crafting that are just good subtypes with at least 2 useful affixes
and hide any rares with a T5 dead affix
same reason why most filters will never have more than 2 affixes in AND condition.

They might have, it would be nice to see a condition for # of open prefixes and/or suffixes. Technically it is possible to make some rules like this using the affix filter (since all affixes are either a prefix or suffix), but it's hugely involved to do.

Surprisingly, yes. If you fear a supposed stationary boss it WILL move and will just stay at the new spot until it wants to move again.

Falconer is bladedancer on steroids. Anything bladedancer can do, Falconer can do it way better.

You don’t need to clear the echo to go there.

Personally I would recommend speccing into full Frost Claw until you get better gear. Static is amazing but it really wants good gear for it to be worthwhile.
I'm mostly using static orb to proc lightning aegis for extra 110% lightning dmg
but I'm using Frost Claw almost all the time

hello i want to play a good support class to help a noob friend. we both new to last epoch but ive played d4 and poe2. what class supports another class best?
there really isnt a support class at all. best thing would probly be a paladin with holy aura and some healing like smite or healing hands...but the 'healing' skills generally still do damage and such. most of the time its just two good builds doing the dmg, instead of a 'support' anything

You can only scale chance for it to apply, the damage reduction is a fixed/unmodifiable amount

Currently none, chance over 100% is wasted. However, if they ever add an effect that scales based on your glancing blow chance and they don't cap it out at 100%, then potentially having more would scale that.
Some people like the apostacy passive early game for more consistent DR instead of dodge. I think dusk shrouds usually do a lot of heavy lifting though on capping GB chance.

It says range 30 to 30. Thats it. There are no other versions
The only way to get it worth using later is if it has legendary potential so you can add more affixes

Sentinel has Javelin Banner + Volatile Reversal + Healing Hand
- VK can use Anomaly for more CC
- Paladin Holy Aura for more stats
You could go Druid for Warcry and Entangling Roots (this one gives quite a bit of Flat Spell Dmg + CC)
If your friend want to go Bleed, you could be a Spriggan and give them a ton of Bleed Chance + Phys Dmg %
Alternatively: Just play a build that has the same damage type so you can share res shreds
Warlock also has a lot of powerful debuffs, and rogue can apply crit vuln fairly easily

its mostly fine...there are only some issues with using menus (will just never be as fast as kbm) and certain types of skills. the skills part is being worked on to be a little smarter
has anyone tried to get the Staff "Celestial Doom" to work? I've tried building around Doom Pulse, but as it seems it doesnt deal enough damage, because its 500% damage scaling effectiveness only applies to added damage not increased damage... sadly

Chance to occur things are general a single "stat" that stacks additively

For most things, going over 100% chance does not benefit you. Notable exceptions are chances to apply ailments that stack and effects that scale some stat based on that chance.
I was trying to do a timeline boss at 100 corruption but the harbinger didn't appear, does the "Contains Incomplete Path" thing have anything to do with it?
I did not beat the harbinger in this timeline before and the objective is to do it at 100.
No, the paths thing is pretty much a vestigial feature at this point. Have you already done a different timeline's harbinger at 100c? You need to raise corruption for each successive harbinger

Yeah, if your quest objective says do it at 100c and the harbinger doesn't spawn after killing the 100c+ timeline boss, then that sounds like a bug

Yeah, it does have a reduced chance compared to a normal drop though
Warlock has effects per unique curse, mad alchemist's ladle and puncture both have damage per unique ailment but are capped fairly low, and I can't think of any others off the top of my head

Yes, they do use your specialized versions if you have them specced

The negative 4k thing was a bug and afaik was fixed. You might go slightly negative in LE now but not that extreme
Yeah, it can. I think coated blades is still bugged to proc on negative mana.
but of course any of them that do are almost definitely bugged unless it procs something from your skill that specifically costs mana and can proc while negative (which there aren't many of, and hopefully no shrine can cast those skills)

AoD has implicit 25% of your chance to poison on hit applies to it. When you convert it to armour shred, does your chance to shred armour on hit apply at 25% effectiveness instead?
I think it just strictly converts your poison chance rather than add the ability for your armor shred chance to apply

For real though, its biggest/only uses currently are like, as a niche defensive skill, some weird snapshotting stuff, and poison minions (which aren't very strong since poison is in a bad spot currently)

You are right, damage over time cannot crit (though disintegrate can proc other spells that deal hit damage, which can crit)
I have been finding the most fun crafting and mapping on well-crafted exalted and some casual 1lp slams - anyone else finding the same? It just gets a lot more frustrating when I go for high-LP slams.
Yeah, aiming for those super high variance things is a recipe for despair. If they happen, they happen, but I don't recommend ever aiming to get any of them specifically

you block dmg, and w/e dmg gets thru past the block effectiveness, is taken out of ward/health

its not worth vendoring items at all. you would make more gold by just leaving the items on teh ground and completeing maps. they are only worth like, 25 g? uniques are what like 500? one rare is gonna drop more than that
and shattering for shards is a waste of money once you get to endgame. they drop so often
1-2k per item usually, yeah i get that but on a fesh cycle character with no stash share and observatory faction im just using the mechanics in front of me on the way to the endgame
seems like a lot of work if the system is rendered useless as soon as you finish learning it.
i dont think the system is ever really designed for selling items at all. its deigned so you only pick up whats useable and you use the ingame filter to block what isnt helpful

Yes, storm bolts procced by you from any source are the same as if they were cast by gathering storm, just without requiring/consuming any storm stacks. They don't scale with the skill that procced them, only with gathering storm stuff, whether you've specced into it or not. (Storm bolts cast by your minions are a little weirder, they scale with minion stats, so they use the minion's attribute scaling instead but otherwise tend to benefit from your gathering storm specialization.)

Well you have to do campaign quests to unlock idol slots and free passive points, you just don't have to finish the campaign
I did the full campaign on my first character, well the 9 chapters that are currently available of it, and then skipped as much as possible on subsequent characters.
There are a number of skip options for solo play.
Example 1. Do the campaign as normal until Chapter 7 after you get the Lance, at that point you'll have all the Passive and Idol unlocks. Go into Monoliths until you get a Temporal Sanctum dungeon key and feel comfortable running that you can use the dungeon the exit to get into Chapter 9 and join an item faction. Doing it this way you're higher level going into Monoliths. I did this on most of my characters and the 1.0 Cycle works fine.
Example 2. Do the campaign up until you reach the oracle in Chapter 5 and have gotten the Temporal Sanctum waypoint. Go into Monoliths until you get a Temporal Sanctum dungeon key and feel comfortable running that. Use the exit to get into Chapter 9. Then in Chapter 9 get the last few unlocks and join an item faction. Doing it this way you're lower level going into Monoliths. I did this on the 1.1 Cycle and it works fine.

You loose all your Favors, the rank of the old Faction stays, but the new Faction starts at 0

I don't think we have an official exact number but we know
- scale with Corruption
- and you get almost one every echo at 300 ish

I'm trying to figure out whether to fit "increased damage while wielding X" onto a piece of equipment, over smth else lik DEX. But I didn't see anyone use that affix, I think. Is it just not good, or?
entirely depends on what other inc% you have scaling wise, how many other dmg skills scale off dex, if you are using dex to get dodge, if you need more attributes for a red ring.
there really isnt a "this is the best answer always". its always a give and take about what your specific build needs and wants. and no one can really tell you that without seeing the entire build

There's a good chance it's skill-specific crit chance that's in play though
the planner won't show the crit chance for your specific skill, so if their skill has a lot of flat crit.... then 15% global crit chance might actually cap it, idk
though it's also important to note, that build planner also has no crit mitigation, which is not ideal

I put points into the Runemaster passive Unsealed Mana. I presume it means 3 unique 0-mana cost spells in a row since 3 casts of Lightning Blast (0 mana) do not trigger the effect. If so, the tooltip should have the word "unique".
Channeled skills count as one spell. Lightning Blast also has a default mana cost of 3 unless you have a wand.
Unless it got bugged it use to work with spaming the same skill
Ah right, I do have a wand. I always use one so didn't notice the 3-mana default cost. Ah well, the +mana and +cast speed is still worth th e points.
The passive should work if you reduce the cost to 0, it does have a cooldown on the effect also which might be why you weren't noticing it working

There isnt a real "support" in LE. Thats why you arent really finding any.
The best thing to do is synergize the builds
There's not exactly a "pure support" option in LE, but there are builds that just so happen to help your teammates. Paladin has some good options among most of its skills, and most of the other classes have at least one thing they can do that helps their team
Even a paladin spec'd to heal and such is still gonna need some dmg and stuff

I don't think it's exactly meta, but the druid vinebear build is a minion build that can act as a support, since most of the buffs you use for your vine minions can apply to all nearby allies. Synergizes best with spell crit builds since most of its buffs are +spell damage and +crit chance, but also can heal a little and can pretty nearly permanently immobilize enemies.

You can only do legendary crafting with an exalted item with 4 affixes, and it doesn’t consider sealed affixes. Your item is currently a 2 affix item to legendary crafting (It also isn’t an exalted item)

Prob a copy from another dragon enemy that does have fire damage and they just didn't remove it
Maybe this, emperor has more generic damage though so it might be a different enemy or they increased it

You can't skip the campaign entirely
You can use the dungeons to skip parts of it.
All we have are shortcuts, and you cannot do that on your first cycle char (As you do not have the dungeon keys)

I've got a lvl 96 spellblade focused on crits with shatter strike. Doing a variation of the nib build. I get my damage numbers up to around 800k/s. Just gotta get my defenses solid before I make that push for Aberoth.

If you take Divine Catalyst, anything that says "Divine Bolt" affects all casts of Divine Bolt. All of the sources has their own rate and don't stack.

No, it would have to say something like: % minion blind chance, % totem blind chance, etc. for it to work on your totems.
The exception is if you have an item or passive that says otherwise. Example, Falconer's Rending Talons passive gives many of your ailment chances (although not blind) to the Falcon minion
Coral Aegis gives your Storm Totems +spell lightning damage based on your Shock chance. It doesn't give the totems your shock chance

When you hover over an item, it lists some key combos at the bottom. One of them lets you move your cursor over the tool tip so you can get additional info. For example if the item casts a spell you can then hover over that part and see more info on the spell
I wanted to use that more in the skills section but the key combos under the item, none of them let you do that sadly.

first build that is not very friendly to play, at least from what I've seen
There is a priority in skill. From left to right iirc. Meaning if you hold down right click (far right) it will spam Shatter Strike. But if you press Mana Strike (set further left) it will take priority and use Mana Strike until you release the key
The thing is, if I don't hit it in the good rythm, I can miss Mana Strikes. Also, if I just release Mana Strike every time I need to Shatter Strike, its the same thing. Its also harder for my brain releasing keys rather than pressing, obviously.

The sweeping beam can be baited by always be at the side, and then right as the animation for it starts, go the other side of the arena.
It will either sweep into the side you were at(Making the whole pattern useless), or it will sweep to where you are now, which is safe if you stand at the edge.

You don't need a build guide.
Any decent build, even self-made, can deal with normal monoliths, even 10 lvs above you.
If you can't, there's a good chance you might have a build issue.
If acolyte's worse skill (AoD) can get me through normal monoliths, any okay build can.
I hit Blood, Frost, and Death before I started to feel the pinch on my build - and as everyone here can attest to, my builds are baaaaaaaaad 😅
It's definitely worth looking at your gear too, even small amounts of crafting can be a big help!
