flame rush can cast a lot of things for you, so it would be nice to know if the while channeling affixes should be helping you, or if it was only intended to interact directly with skills with the channeling tag like disintegrate and warpath
Any damage you deal "while channeling" is affected
You just have increased damage of all types while you are actively channeling
This doesn't affect everything, like ignite, for example
OK, caveat, it will affect ignites that you apply while channeling, but not to ignite ticks, I guess. Or maybe I'm wrong about that, too. I don't know how ailments work!

The "damage while channeling" gets snapshotted as "damage" on all skills you cast while channeling (including channeled skills), which then gets passed down to any subskills/ailments those skills cast/apply like a normal damage stat.

Their damage is moreso set when the skill that applies them is cast, rather than when they are applied. For example, when you cast Judgment:
- Your stats get calculated and attributes are converted into increased damage and applied to Judgment
- Judgment casts Consecrated Ground and passes whatever stats it has over to that
- Some time passes and Consecrated Ground ends and casts Holy Eruption and passes all its stats on to that
- Holy Eruption hits an enemy and applies ignite to it using its stats
Essentially, after moment you cast Judgment, any changes to your stats no longer affect it or anything downstream. The only stuff that will modify the damage of the skill, its subskills, or its ailments at that point is enemy stats or effects that specifically change ongoing skills/ailments.
So I've been out of the loops for six months. So to get my bearings straight, 1.2 released in September. So no "reset" for a couple months I imagine?

No, it's mostly tied to xp gain (Skills gain xp the same rate as you gain xp)

Each of them are seperate attacks and hits, so yes.

If you are dual wielding and on one of your weapons you have flat crit stricke chance and on the other you don't is it like you have different critical strike chances for each weapon or is it contributing towards your total crit strike chance? I believe it is the latter not the former?
It's the latter, weapons are stat sticks.
The only stat that works differently while dual wielding is base attack speed. (It takes the average of both weapons)
I was asking because nemesis gave me this, not a good base but with T7 crit multi, maybe I could make a build at some point with this if my other weapon had flat crit chance

Yeah, definitely quite rare, just like 2+ LP things are significantly less common than 1 LP (it's weighted by LPL like normal)

For those of you who've cleared Aberroth, if you can reac the last phase, does that mean you can generally clear him? Or is the last phase a unique dps check where a build can reach there and then ultimately fail?
If you can reach the last phase you can clear him
There's nothing about it that's really a DPS check as long as your laser positioning isn't super bad
I tested my build against him for the first time in a couple months and reached the last phase. Exciting!

no i tried to turn off all the loot filters. didnt work. then i tried to delete all my loot filters, same issue. then i reinstalled the game. didnt work. repaired game files olso didnt work. and the Alt+z dont work either. enable loot filter on and off. i tried to pick everything up, but still the unqie only glows.

Depends on the build, as you're locked out of the latter half of passives from the mastery you didn't pick. Those may or may not break the build. For your example: kind of, as BD does not have any minion support which is mostly on falconner.

Well, a couple of questions, although there are more, but the rest of the questions are not urgent, and I'll check some things myself later, so:
- What type of items are they, pale yellow with several affixes of the same shade, often the affixes are paired, there is not a word about them in the manual, and these affixes are not fixed in the item?
- What determines the type of border on items (I highlighted 2 and 3 in screenshots), I'm just curious, it hardly affects anything, but still?

Soo I just created a new Character on legacy and it won't let me use Faction Gear even tough I am in that Faction at Max rank on that Char when I check (did not even have to talk to the NPC's in the first Town). Any Idea whats going on?

Is there a way to remove just the "stop moving" enemy voice lines and other voicelines by spawned enemies, they get repetitive and annoying and kill the game fun for me. But I want to still hear vendor voices and such...

hi, why old character (online, currently has 3 monoligh fate 900+ corruption) moves echo immediately, but new character (offline) will be loaded every time it moves between echo
Worth noting when skills are procced, they cast instantly, so unless the skill has some special benefit from cast speed it doesn't go any faster.
That's just a mechanical difference between online and offline modes
Can someone explain the whole "Costs 1 to 18 forging potential" when the item I'm forging has a forging potential starting at 13? Maybe I'm dumb, but this doesn't make sense to me. LOL
That means it will remove a random amount of stability between 0 and 18 (0 if it hits a "crit craft" or if you use a glyph of hope and it procs). The roll is weighted so the average cost is a bit below half. The cost is standardized based on the craft you are doing, which is why it can show a max cost higher than your remaining stability, but it won't bring you below 0 or otherwise do anything bad if it would go past, just means you have a higher chance to hit 0.
You crafting a white or yellow item? Purple exalted items usually have at least 30+ FP
13 sounds about on par with chapter 1 items
Gotchya seems kind of crazy considering then you can craft an item with perfect modifiers but then can't upgrade them due to losing so much forging potential, and it's chapter 3.
Hm, that is pretty low FP then, might be bad luck or might be using a low rarity item. Higher rarity items tend to have higher FP, which makes them better options if they already have 1-2 good affixes for your build (or you get lucky with a chaos glyph)

When you fail an echo and you go back in to complete it, why do you still get that bonus stability optional quest? Does it do anything if you complete it?

What is added melee damage? All cold, fire, lightning, phy + 100 will be considered added melee damage right?
Added melee damage is flat melee dmg that add on melee attack.
They all can get "increased" by "x% increased melee damage" for example.
And also by specific melee damage type increase "x% increased fire melee damage" for fire mele dmg
not all skills have the same damage ratio.
Most melee skill have 1.0 ratio, but some fast melee skills can have 0.8 ratio, and slow attack can have 3.0 ratio (i have no example)

If i understand your question correctly , added melee damage is adaptive , for example shatter strike does melee cold damage , if you have +20 added melee damage it automatically translates to added melee cold
If I have Crushing blows in the Forge Guard Tree which gives More Dmg per Mana cost for Melee and Throwing attacks, will that also scale Bleed damage applied by those attacks?
Game Guide only states that it's affected by dmg modifiers from the skill tree and the attribute scaling of the skill that applies it (apart from the obvious like phys dmg/ dot/ Bleed duration attributes). But do external more Modifiers like this one from the Passive Tree also count?
"+x melee damage" is global melee damage, it doesnt matter what type of damage it is, it will add to it.
and "+x fire melee damage" will add to all melee attack too, but it will get increased only by "x% increased fire melee damage"
If it only says "more damage" with no other condition, then yes.
It just says melee and throwing attacks deal more dmg based on their mana cost. So that would in turn mean if Hammer Throw costs more Mana -> it gets more dmg -> bleeds applied by it dot harder?
Just checking again since the Mana Part is a condition I guess.

If you want to build hammer throw with DoT, you want to play Paladin.
there a 10 points passive tree node that is made especially for bleed.
and it's over the lock at half of the passive tree
Edit : Oh nice then ! but you want the minimum mana cost on hammer throw, because you use all of your mana with the holy aura and sigil of hope
Doing that, the more dmg per Mana cost node in FG is before the Subclass only cutoff 🙂
That said, if you play with volatile reversal (you should play with that) you can use it to recover your mana after casting all your sigil of hope.
Not running sigils in this Variation and I build a lot of mana regen to compensate. Just gotta see if that works out or if the more dmg per Mana cost is not worth all the other stuff I have to give up for it 😄

if the unique dropped in the map while group member was there, should just rmb on their profile picture, and hit gift, and it should go to their inventory

Dumb new player question: when I complete an echo in the timeline of fate, where do the rewards appear? An echo description will say it rewards unique maces or tomes of experience or whatever, but I can't seem to find where those rewards appear. What obvious thing am I missing?

When you portal out, it's normally a blue portal, which sends you back to town.
IF instead, you cleared an echo, it'll be a green portal.
Or the regular portal skin?
I don't have any mtx -- I travel to town just by opening the map, I didn't know you could open a portal

If I remember correctly, I think I bought a useless item and thought I could possibly make it into something decent. From a lot of what I'm seeing though, kind of seems like that isn't exactly how you get good items specifically in this game.
The vendor is only used when you're desperate.
Yea, I've mostly played PoE when it comes to these types of games, and that involves a lot of "gambling"? LOL but you can get lucky turning something bad into something useable.
I like that there are some big differences here though.
Yeah, while it's technically possible to craft a white item into a yellow item with 4 T5 affixes and a sealed T4 affix, you'd basically be winning the lottery to get that outcome
Ah okay so there are different tiers of affixes? You don't always have to upgrade to them, then?
Tiers are effectively upgrade count.
An affix being upgraded takes it from one tier to the next. T2->T3 etc.
They may drop at different tiers, but each craft you do adds 1 tier
you can craft up to T5, but later in the game you will find some purple items that drop with one or more T6 and/or T7 affixes, tiers that high are drop-only
if a tier-up resulted in a low number and you want to improve on that without tiering up again, you could use a rune of refinement
useful for hard to find shard types
So, say you have throwing damage and idk health on an item. If you upgrade them both to tier 5, then use a rune of shattering, you get the affixes back as tier 5? Or you have to upgrade them again? If you have to upgrade them again, I don't know how you would make a white item have 4 t5 affixes, without losing forging potential, and from what I'm aware of, the rune of shattering doesn't necessarily give you back exactly the amount of shards you put into the affixes, but a random number, correct? Unless there is some other modifier rune I have yet to discover that allows you to shatter an item and recover all shards.
There's not a single case of that though?
Rune of refinement is basically a divine orb, but they are pretty common in this game and do require/use forge potential, so they are not unlimited use on an item

Yea, usually my issue is the item may have one or two affixes I really want or need, and I'm too chicken and worried it will change those ones lol
BUT that is life in these games lets be honest LOL
Rune of shattering could give you 5 of each back, or it could give you less, it's randomized (minimum 1 shard total for the item, max shards equal to the total tiers of affixes on it). Rune of removal always gives shards equal to the tier of affix it removes, but does take FP so it's possible to "miss" the affixes you really want (you can still shatter if you hit 0 FP though).
And the case where you would be able to make a white item have 4 T5 affixes, you'd basically need to get lucky and hit either a crit craft (12% chance) or glyph of hope preserving your FP (25% chance) on all or almost all 20 crafts in a row
yeah, if an item either has an affix I really want or has two less desirable but still useful ones, I'll often removal them until FP is gone, and the shatter if it didn't get all the ones I wanted.

T4 is better. Higher drop chance and higher LP chance when it does drop. It shouldn't take you significantly longer, most of the time to run is walking through the dungeon maze.
on my keyboard i can hide items with "x" or "w" try those one (i have french keyboard tho)

If i layer defenses like this: 70-75% dodge, 35ish% glancing blow , high health, endurance and endurance threshold with crit avoidance as a rogue, this should give strong endgame defences right?
A good defense usually has also damage reduction, don't know Rouges too well tho.
But w/o DR you will certainly hit the ceiling a bit earlier
btw Endurance Threshold is mostly not worth imo

Not sure about that node, but at least prefer HP over threshold for equipment affixes. HP also raises your threshold usually in a quite similar way, while also providing more base HP in the end.
Some nodes for threshold can be valuable as far as I know, if you get much threshold for little invest

You can use another unique to convert self bleeds into ignite.
Otherwise you'll most likely be playing a class that can cast spells anyway, since it's a spell damage boost, off the top of my head only rogue and primalist can't do it naturally

I think it depends on the dot. I believe they are different
The dmg itself only gets calculated every second but some only last for like, 2.5 seconds so it gets weird
Damage displays every 0.5 seconds, but I don't think that's also how often it deals damage
I've got a skill that does 63,xxx per second, but there's no way I'm doing anywhere close to that. The initial damage numbers pop up showing 800 to 900, and never ever get up even close to 63,xxx, even when squarely hitting a boss.

Typically DOTs deal their damage every 0.25s. Number popups occur no more frequently than every 0.5s.
Damage rate varies by specific DOT though

It depends on how you have fireball specced. If your total cast speed bonus for fireball (counting all your global modifiers) is 10% increased, yes you can cast fireball 11 times in the same time it would have taken you to cast 10 with 0% increased cast speed.
If you turned fireball into a channeled skill, cast speed only affects how quickly you start channeling.

Yeah have fun! By level 80, you'll already have level 20 skills, so you're mostly getting extra passive points from those remaining levels, up to 113 total at level 100.
There are a few other minor bonuses each level: +8 Health, +0.5 Mana, +5 Stun Avoidance, +0.125 Health Regeneration, +5 Heal on Potion.

Random. You must use an Exalted item with 4 Affixes. Sealed is not used or counted. It randomly transfers LP # of Affixes. Example LP 2 randomly does 2.

Yeah, for every unique you can get lucky and find one with Legendary Potential, up to 4 LP. That's the end game farm. Trying to get LP Unique, trying to get Exalted with Affixes you want, and trying to get lucky on combine.

I have acid flasks thrown in a 'fan' for clearing groups, so I'm more using shurikens as a ranged option with poison, leaning into stacking poison and DoT

Guys, how do you manage your stashes? It is too much for me
I have my categories set up like: general purpose (dump tabs, keys, random stuff, etc.), idols, T6 exalts and multi-exalts, T7 exalts, LP/WW items, legendaries/sets (plus a tab or so for egg bait)
within each category, tabs split up by class req and equipment slot as much as needed based on the amount of junk in the trunk

splitting up T6 from T7 from experimental isn't automatic with the tab priority system unfortunately (yet, hopefully they do add those)
Yeah, the colors especially help, personally I rarely use icons since they widen the tabs a lot
I use usually either of them. Text where needed and icon + a "." where tabs are specified with icon alone.
F.e. in the exalt categorys I have many tabs just with an icon cause the category already narrows it down

No, unfortunately. Sometimes some enemies tank fps and their corpses continue to tank it. Only thing you can do is move away from that spot until their corpses despawn
seems to not be 100% of the time, which is probably why they've had trouble fixing it, I've been reporting using the in game tool every time it happens with my guess of which mob did it
I cant master volin 😆. I dont play many alts so I can afford to not pick em up. Also have my loot filter to highlight 2LP and above with different colour so i pick em, sometime i still need to manually remove them because i only collect 3LP if the LPL is low. Only exception is extremely rare uniques like red ring and orian's eye, i set special rule for them lol

- How will the buffs of this ring work with the Scrap Metal perk of Sentinel's Rive ability?
- And how will these two perks work with the Multistrike ability if they are pumped at the same time?
- It does not. The gloves to forged weapons affix is dead since you're not spawning forged weapons. Only the duration works, which is stated in the alt text of scrap.

- At max stacks of armament, if you multistrike again you'll cast Forge strike, if you stop before that you can use void cleave and it'll spend all for the void cleave buff. Spending stacks with Void Cleave DOES NOT cause a free cast of Forge Strike.

so I've got this blademaster that's currently using a combination of shadow cascade, dancing strikes, and shurikens (still leveling up, haven't even hit 35 with it yet) and I'm liking it a lot, but I'm unsure whether it makes more sense damage-wise to go with a poison build using daggers, or switch to 1h swords and have a crit build

Poison is currently in a pretty poor spot outside of Warlock, you're better off going hit-based. Both daggers and swords have value in this, depends on what you're using. Dancing Strikes is kinda mid in endgame, Shadow Cascade is good (pick dual swords for this), Shurikens are good as Chakram (this one is up to preference, I like sword/dagger) but a tad squishy at times.
yeah, I'm noticing that as I gradually level, poison's starting to have less and less effect unless I really go out on stacking it and keeping it stacked. granted the gear I have isn't super optimized toward it yet, but it's noticeable as enemies get more and more health
whereas with the right affixes and node choices, crits can get pretty scary in their damage potential
whats the fastest way to level up a fresh character? :p
** Rush trough campaign**, try to stay 3 to 5 level ahead of your area.
Once you unlock all idols slot and passive points (you should have all of them when you enter thetima in act 8 (a little bit before lagon) you can go monoliths.
Then rush trough normal monolith and focus on the exp book rewards.
You can use 1 glyph of envy per normal monolith to instantly fill the stability bar, you just have to do the 2 quest + boss fight of the monoliths.
ALWAYS go for the monoliths on the right side of the map : Fall of the outcast > Black sun > Ending the Storm > Reign of Dragon > Pick any of the lvl 90 mono
If it's a reroll you can unlock empowered monoliths just by completing one of the lvl 90 monolith, if it's first char you have to complete all of the lvl 90 monoliths.
Lvl 90 monolith are : Age of Winter / Spirit of Fire / The Last Ruin Grole 
~~ Keep in mind that area 10+ level higher than you will have HUGE exp penalty (It matter only for the campaign).~~

Hi, I've just got back to the game after several months without playing it and I've forgotten how to change the difficulty of the game because right now I'm level 2 and every enemy I come across One shot because the difficulty must be too high, I guess
Check your char challanges, otherwise check your boots, otherwise there's no saving you.

Its good to try different mixes, software and hardware can be finicky. What works for you might not work for someone else
I know base vsync gets auto off once gsync is enabled on panel, but adaptive sync via monitor settings its on its own and wonder if it syncs in with whoever dominates the refresh rate control
I have a vague memory of a player having issues due to their monitor refresh rate / gsync conflicting with the in game settings, so it's probably best to start with those off and use the in game settings

I can't adapt the setting of beastmaster after played necromancer... Both of them is based on minions though
if I and my companions can output damage, which side should I increase more damage is a big problem. That's the mistake I made while I played necromancer (I wish I can deal some damage and minions just help me but this logic is completely wrong at the end).
The correct answer is focus on minion damage then I'm doubt I can't focus on minion damage too on beastmaster. So only way is cut the companions and focus on my damage.
Each to their own in terms of playstyle but if you're playing primalist and dont want to use companions how come you didnt choose Druid or Shaman spec? they are better suited to that style

BM relies on short buffs and usually are very active played. That is at least true for Squirrels/Wolfs (which even have a melee part from the BM himself) or Scorpion
Squirrel/wolf is like playing a regular character but with the help of companions, i like it
BM is an extremely active class no matter what you do
all companion builds are dependant on your character maintaining buffs
Have a look at Cookbooks Scorpion build, that has really a simple scaling and should be a BM that is easy to access (but probably hard to master still)
crows want tempest strike spell damage. squirrels/wolves/bear/raptor/sabertooth all want aspect of the shark stacking. bear and raptor want berserk buffs from warcry. sabertooth, scorpion and sometimes crows want swipe companion skill triggers
scorpion wants aspect of the viper
sabertooth also wants aspect of the panther stacks from swipe
And lizards want mlems 
And all of them need some petting 🙂
