Guys, in the temporal dungeon, if i want to merge my lp uniques with exalted items, does the exalted item need to have some forging potential left? Also, does it need to be 4 mod or can it be 5 mod ( sealed ) as well ? and does it take the sealed one into consideration for rolling it onto the unique?
No, has to be 4 mods, if it's 5 the sealed affix will be ignored
No FP needed, it MUST be 4 affixes, but sealed can exist (It'll be ignored as if it didn't exist).

Timelines are the ten "storylines" in the monolith, each with its own echo web, boss, blessing slot, and waypoint. If you're talking about glyph of envy, it gives stability for progress towards running the boss (or quest echoes) of the last timeline you entered, such as by doing one echo in its web.

There's certainly still some nutty ward stuff, too. And then after a certain threshold, everything shifts over from actual tankiness to you just need the most stuff that lets you avoid taking any damage because everything is a 1-shot.

Huh, I'm not familiar with that loading screen tip. In general, nothing gets affected by timelines you've previously done aside from glyphs of envy and any benefits you get from that timeline's active blessing.

Have what exactly? The FK faction or item faction? Once the cycles are merged in, yes all faction progress is shared stash-wide. You do need to unlock the factions still, though.

Yes, you just need to unlock the FK faction first by completing a level 90 timeline (kill the boss)
It's kind of an awkward way to have to unlock it for legacy chars that are already in empowered, maybe they'll change it someday to work on level 100 ones

There's two conditional stun immunity for players,

Otherwise immunity is mostly on minions and there's a small handful of decreased stun durations.
Idols provide stun immunity after using Teleport for mage. Actually it may be done to 100% uptime.
question regarding arcane ascendance skilltree: how does 'Acuity' node interact with channel spells? if you hold down to channel a skill, does it all count as one usage 'charge'?

on character info screen, if you go past elemental resistance cap, the amount you 'normally' have is show in smaller numbers below the capped number you've hit

Hi, completed the 10 levels of the Forgotten knights faction, died with the character I unlocked it in HC, now all my other characters are only level 1, is it normal? Isn't it a bug?

Factions should stay with your stash, there have been bugs that cause some stuff to be lost though so it wouldn't be unheard of.

Sounds a bit like the old blessing issue, where "discovered" blessings weren't bound to the stash and could be lost if the char that found them died
I agree, it's a pretty bad bug, hopefully the info above + in game bug report will give them enough info to fix it. I don't remember if they are able to fix it retroactively or not, but just in case they can, I recommend to not delete your dead char with the rank 10 FK

its not supposed to work, no. a class affix should lock that unique to a specific class

I think what the video is trying to say is that you gain 40% dot damage for 8 seconds after directly casting hungering souls. However, the dot from the skill itself only lasts the 1.5

you get 40% more damage vs. possessed enemies for 8 seconds... but the possess only lasts 1.5s
I guess it's more than just 40% jump since the hungering souls dot is counted into the tick as well...but it goes down to pre buff lvl after 1.5 seconds and doesnt stay at e.g. 4.2k...
as soon as the hungering sould dot dissaopears, the poison dmg goes back to pre buff lvls
that damage stat snapshots at the time of cast, not at time of application, so when possess drops off, so does the 40% more
well I worded that really badly, but anyway you can think of it as not snapshotting lol

so first thing:
You must have this buff active when you use the skill that you want to gain damage on (say, whatever skill you're applying poison with), so having the buff up lets you activate the damage bonus later by casting hungering souls.
Is there any trick to maintain or at least understand which skill points gets removed when swapping in and out gear with +x skill points? Left feedback about this 6+ months ago but seems to go unnoticed so hopefully it is just something that I'm getting wrong or not understanding. Anyone knows if this is being worked on or any trick to make it less of an annoyance?
Then the other aspect is the fire conversion changes the condition to "vs. spreading flames" which you need a unique to apply, but any hit works at that point
Also, teammates can apply possess or spreading flames and you'd still benefit that way for the full 8s
(also, I think some minions can apply possess, like death knights and abom?)
it removes a skill point as close to the center as possible while going in a clockwise direction that also is not required to unlock a node that is already taken.
it is intended to be this way (however annoying it may be)

You must cast life drain while you have the 8s buff active for them to deal more damage against possessed enemies

1.1 started july 9th. there was a refresh/reset on sept 19th(event runs until oct 20). 1.2 starts in q1 2025
I'm not too familiar with stygian coal's modifier, if it makes drain life suddenly not snapshot anymore (like each beam calculated separately), then you need the buff up at the time that beam is shot
how did you test it?
and then its poison ticks individually decide whether they deal more damage based on whether the target is currently inflicted with posses (or spreading flames), this part does not snapshot
so I cast drain life...and the last few ticks are around 32k dmg...then I cast hungering couls and drain life again and the last few ticks are around 32k dmg
the inspired hunger buff is lasting the intended time. You need to keep reapplying the possessed debuff to enemies to continue receiving the increased damage though as I understand it

I think a couple minions can apply it
Spreading flames can be applied by any hit, so if you're able to use spreading flames you get the full 8s out of the buff
Otherwise, the only real benefit to having that buff last longer, is it snapshots the stat "more damage vs. possess/spreading flames".
So let's say you don't have the 8s buff up and you cast chthonic fissure, then spam hungering souls... fissure gets absolutely no benefit from the more damage vs. possessed enemies.
Alternatively, you cast hungering souls to get the 8s buff, then cast chthonic fissure, then spam hungering souls, your fissure will benefit from that more damage vs. possessed for its entire duration (even if you are able to somehow make that fissure last 500 seconds).
It's very awkwardly implemented imo, wish I had a better idea that didn't remove the manual casting limit
Maybe if you're able to make it modify possess (or spreading flames for fire conversion) to also apply "50% more DOT taken" so it doesn't snapshot at all and just remove the buff part entirely

If it died after you then it shouldnt have dropped. But if the skill persisted and you died after, then it might have.
Either way toss a bug report to make sure
Adjusted Nemesis functionality: If a Nemesis dies after you have died and there are no other living players in the area, it wont drop its items. This is so it can be fought again in the future to obtain those items.
By that wording, it still sounds like there is opportunity to lose items in certain situations.

@faint cape some demon made WW roll like 3 different variables and then smack them together to get the actual end value, so you add every combination of every roll that results in each ww value and you get something that looks like that (you can simplify it by an insane amount after you lay it all out but i'm too lazy to do anything more than i have to)
For a handicapped player, Warpath seems like a really good option. My question though, what is the best subclass to make it a 1-button build? Each of them can automate some skills but I'm not sure which would do it best. I know Smite can be automated with Warpath or totems (not exactly great for a new player to find totems though), manifest armor and ring of shields dont have to be clicked, holy aura and sigils can be automated...not sure about healing hands for warpath though, dont think it works? Or maybe another class might even be better for true 1-button setup? I saw a warlock that I think was 1-button but they tend to be pretty squishy and they would have a really hard time playing a squishy character... they tend to play turn based games but they really want to give this game a shot 😛

Yeah, simulating is way easier since that kinda handles the weird statistics math for you, always a good sanity check

I do think warpath might be your best bet tbh, there are other low button press builds but warpath is most likely going to be by far the most comfortable. both paladin and voidknight have good variants but i would assume the paladin one would be less button intensive

You are right HH doesn't play well with warpath. I think one of my favorite low button count builds is vortex pennant bleed, it uses warpath that procs smite on hit (palarus sword) and throws axes (pennant + passive) that also proc smite on hit (idols), all bleeding. Uses a shield, too, so pretty tanky. Only other button you'd want to press aside from warpath is VR, but it's not strictly needed.
Oh yeah, also it's a paladin build
but because you can get a weaver's will value through lots of combinations (like for 12 you can get it as 8+4+0, or 8+3+1, or 7+4+1 and so on) it blows up when you try to add them all one by one
Yea, I feel like Warpath has to be the best, just not sure which subclass would get it to 1-button purely. I know Forge Guard can get it with a minion build but the sword/shield version of that build is not so great.

some shrines are so bad (warpath) that I end up with -4,5k mana if I take it. and I need to wait for like 5 min to get above 0 mana again.

Like some more and some less. I also see the problem that some may brick some builds temporary, aside from bugs (f.e. if you are lowlife and do heavy direct dmg I can imagine a leech shrine may be quite deadly)

Trigger a harbinger. (Probably by clearing a quest echo boss in a lv90 normal monolith)
Replay one of lv.90 monolith under normal timeline and kill the timeline boss then you can get the access of void knight.

It relies on blind for crit avoidance. Ocearion ring or a good ring of the erased would be used until a red ring could be acquired. The lightning shred blessing is superior at that gear level for bosses but lower gear progression or general clearing would be flat lightning %. Belt is still in the air. I need to work shock chance somewhere once Ocearion is off.

when I'm slamming a unique and a purple together to mak a legendary, there's a level restriction on the upgrade cache.
Does that level restriction apply to just the unique, or to the exalted as well?
eg I've got an exactly lv65 unique and a lv77 exalted, can I do a T2 sanctum to slam those together?

Is the shrine in temporal sanctum "opens a protal to the floor exit" supposed to open a protal next to you or it opens up the posibility to exit through another door that could be close to you?

Any Flat damage increases are added before increases, so +20 fire melee minion damage is still multiplied by any % minion damage increase.
That 20 damage could be more useful that you thought.
i understand that, but the mutlipliers i was using for fire damage is basically nothing in this build. i wanted the stacking ignites from it as i had a few to spare in skeletal mages and passives. the acutal fire damage from my build is very little.
that and dot minion damage is a suffix so another use of suffix as most def suffix are negligible to my minion build.
if say i was doing a warlock focused build instead of a necromancer then the 20 fire would be great, the build i was going with was just using up a few points that i had to spare in both the skeletal mages and passives to hopefully get more damage. it doesn't even look like the passive triggers off the necrotic damage that the death knights do as a base.
so back to my original assumption that "Chaos Flames" passive in the warlock tree only triggers off of skill usage as it states in its description. So from testing it only works with actual minion skills. these are the only things i have been able to proc it on: Undead Mortars, Death Blossom (casts hungering souls), Pyromancer's fireball, Skeletal archer's fire arrow and Flame Wraith's Fireball. It does not work with any base damage of the minions and for some reason doesn't work with Pyre Golem's infernal aura casts.
For infernal aura: it's a DoT, so it can't ignite, but should take the extra damage.
yea it does. i was guessing it was that it has no "initial" hit is why it didnt proc it. but now i need to rebuild my char to test all of this.
Take away is the "skills" part of the "Chaos Flames" really means only skills.

Dot's are rediculouly strong in this game, the hitboxes aren't 100% correct, and ther's no grace period when entering a dot...basically sometimes the dots starts doing dmg to you on the server before you can even see that you're standing in it....

I don't think there are any other notable effects on it, aside from enemies having more health/ward and bosses being harder to freeze.

Hey all, so I alt-tab pretty frequently, between zones, whatever. One thing I find odd is that when I close the game or alt-tab, the screen somewhat briefly shows me the screen the last time I alt-tabbed. Like, I just closed the game and saw what was basically a screenshot of me in an arena map surrounded by enemies while I alt-tabbed to restart my audiobook.
Is this a problem? Is this a sign of the game doing something it shouldn't? Somehow, my computer is holding on to old stuff that it definitely doesn't need to. I don't know if this is something I should bug report or not, and I don't know if it's a problem or not

coated blades was bugged on warpath shrine too iirc so it wouldnt surprise me if it is also bugged for other things
so I know potion-centric builds are probably not meta seeing as I don't see them mentioned much, but is that whole build aspect viable in any way? I see lots of idols with related uses, lots of 'x happens on potion use' traits on uniques and other gear. . .but does it actually work out?
eh. its just a lot of upkeep that players generally dont like. also since potion drops are rng, its not super consistent without ways to up your potion drops, or holding an insane amount (there is a unique for this). that being said pretty much every build is viable so there is no reason to not try it.
think the only 'popular' build that uses potions for dmg is ballista? most of the time potions are used for cleanse.
yeah, I've picked up a unique that has 12 potion slots and stuff at least twice now, was mostly curious how it works out in practice. that amount of potion spamming doesn't really appeal to me, tbh

I'm not sure if flurry is triggering some other skill that costs mana, but I can't find anything.
one thing to keep in mind is though that mana costs are not 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on..
it's actaully in fully decimal cost, 0,0 0,5 and so on, and then the game UI rounds the cost to a whole number on the tooltip, but this is not actually what's happening in the background.
and I'm not entirely sure what's creating a cost for flurry in your build, even if it's 0,3 or simething like that

is it possible to take the passive where warpath casts smite automatically, while also going into void? how do the damage conversions work?
id have to take warpath is converted to both fire and void, not sure which gets overwritten
Also converting Warpath to Void doesn't convert Smite to Void

but if flurry costs was 0,0 it wouldn't consume and mana, and then it wouldn't give you any dmg anyway
If flurry is proccing coated blades, it's a bug. I think that's most likely what's happening, since otherwise it's hard to reach -600 mana.

Mana costs always round up to the next tenth in the tooltip, so if it was 0.0000001 mana cost it would display 0.1

you can't take any shrines if you have coated blades and don't know the mana cost of all spells....I end up on -4,5k mana on my cold HoA marksman build when I take the warpath shrine...

does anyone know if the area (-level / corruption) a nemesis is encountered in affects the outcome of putting something in an egg. im currently running lightless arbor t4 (which apparently is area level 23) with the goal of getting 2+lp foot of the mountain. is it advantageous for me to keep the boots and put them in nemesis eggs in higher corruption monoliths instead of using those i get on the way in lightless arbor?

It inherits the bonuses as it is. So if the spell has "This spell does 100% more hit damage", the poison will inherit it, but it would do nothing as it's only for hit damage, poison doesn't do hit damage.
Ailments only inherit generic bonuses from the applying skill's tree (and attribute scaling technically).
Egg empower has the same results regardless of where it is. Those things only influence chance for nemesis and the egg to appear.

T3 kinda meh. T4 pretty dangerous until you are comfortably doing 300 corr
I’m running ~250 corruption pretty smoothly rn but got some prophecies and slams to do for T3. Mostly scared of getting 1 shot by the Lightless Arbor boss slam or dying to Julra somehow
Lightless Arbor boss big slam move comes down so quickly, has a huge aoe, and most of the time the light is kindling the thing to the side

Mmm I see it now. So it’s actually fine to just chuck the kindling and play away from it as the only dangerous thing during this phase is the slam. So you stay on the right half of the zone, wait out the first hit, then dash to the left half
