I don't know the build specifically so I cannot say but you can basically level with any skill you like. Of course some skills will be better than others but nothing is stopping you from leveling up any way you want.

It's a small hiccup that can happen if you skip ahead, same with the Desert Waystation Quest. If you haven't already, please submit an In Game Bug Report explaining what happened.

Something else to try is going the Lagon's Isle 'on foot' - so find the transition point down the jetty on the right and click the boat

Fixed a few memory leaks where assets were being held onto by static references resulting in them never being released.

    From our testing this saves around 500MB of memory (VRAM & RAM Combined) after 1 hour of back to back echo farming.

Multiple reasons for why they can level up so fast.

1. Familiar with every detail of the build they want to run
2. Selected one of builds they want to run and trained the speed before the event is live for a few days
3. Powerful control skills and reactions which can handle HC easily
4. Know which can boost up the campaign progress

Just running the campaign multiple times make you faster at it.
Also you don't really need to do the whole campaign. My first character usually stop after Heobora because I got all my idols slots and passives. I do a few monos then I use the Temporal Dungeon to reach my Item Faction

Being able to trade is pretty much impossible to beat in terms of gearing speed. Both are enjoyable ways to play the game, though imo (assuming you don't mind trade vs non-trade)

You won't be able to use any items you bought off the marketplace if you leave the trade faction, which makes it a little hard to swap midgame, but not impossible (similarly, any drops you got above and beyond the normal drops while in the non-trade faction you won't be able to use if you leave that one)

At the very start of a cycle reset and shortly after, it's pretty nice. Lots of random useful early game stuff gets listed for 0 gold for no reason lol. Later on inflation hits hard and depending on how things go, you may find shortages, and people tend to mainly look for and list meta build items, so the build you play may affect your experience a lot. I think these are pretty typical for markets, though inflation is probably faster in this game than PoE for example.

I can confirm, it is very fun and very tanky. Because with nets you can completely stop them from hitting you, and since puncture applies the daggers, you can get allot of clear.

Maybe it's because he's stacking the amount of different types of minion that he can have to feed into the Abomination. Because it gets more dmg per type of minion consumed as well as has infinite duration as long as he has fewer than 6 skeletons of any kind.
Then he uses zombies in order to inflict Mark for Death, and then spawn more skeletons
