At this stage, a reset isn't guaranteed. The poll is open to gauge whether players want a reset or not, and if not why not.
Offline characters are entirely separate to any cycles and online mode in general, offline characters won't be part of any resets.

- The Monolith map name (if you remember it)
- The mobs on screen (some mobs cause more issues than others)

- How long you were playing

How do people craft higher tier mods on legendaries?
if it's already a legendary you can no longer modify it
not really sure what you mean, but uniques can only be upgraded into legendarys using an exalted item. You can upgrade the exalted item before you try merging them into a unique creating a legendary.
the exalted needs to be upgraded (via crafting) before merging it, after which you can't change anything.
You don't.
You can also upgrade Uniques by 'egging' them via a Nemesis! If you place a 0LP Unique into a Nemesis and choose to empower it, it can gain LP or gain affixes, turning it into a Legendary!
You don't have any control over what affixes get added though, it's just a chance. So if you want a specific affix, you're best using the Eternity Cache to craft together a Unique with LP and an Exalted item with the affix you want.
why are so many arpg players obsessed with "starting fresh" this style of genre loot/grind.. is like the exact opposite of the type of game you would want to start fresh in.. why not play another genre without grind/loot boxes.. if you constantly want new/fresh since those types of games are literally based around quick matches and not having to grind/level/gear??
most of these arpgs roots come from D&D and that game was historically known for people playing the same character for YEARS some times
Some want to grind when there's new stuff added so they don't have to finagle with old stuff.

Cycle resets affect the Market and Ladders, so players wanting to start on equal footing have that option. Also while we don't have any right now, should we introduce Cycle specific content that will be in play too.
Legacy offers players who don't want to compete in Ladders or use a fresh Market the opportunity to keep playing older characters and keep playing with friends there too. You can also make new Legacy Characters whenever you like!

At the end of the day, the reason is money. This is a live service game (to make money over time) in order to make money they need players coming back to play the game over and over. One way (and the main way) is to create new content and leagues. You may not like it, but it's been proven a 1000 times over between Diablo 2, Diablo 3, Diablo 4, Path of Exile, and another of other ARPG's
And I'm giving you alternatives.

Yeah a lot of games are trying to go live service. It's more money then once off games. I'm not a huge fan of it, but for games like ARPG's I've grown accustomed to it. Honestly though, it's given me far more hours then I ever would put into them because of it though.

I mean, I'm the one saying that genres have meaning, it's other people who have hit me with the "all games are CRPGs" comment before. This is a situation again where someone went "any video game with action is an ARPG"
I think the issue is that people are very emotional about some expectations they have, and when things end up being outside of that box, that creates frustration, when the beauty of gaming is exactly that, finding fun things that break those boxes.
It is why "everything is an rpg now" because developers eventually found out progression is fun for most players, so adding progression made things more enjoyable in most games / genres.
I do think people go overboard in their expectations of what genres should be, instead of enjoying a game for what it is and moving on when it is not enjoyable for them
If I have a character on legacy thats has MG/CoF rank 4 and the reset hits and my cycle characters become legacy, will they get the legacy characters faction rank or will it update with my cycle characters that is higher (rank 12)?
new cycle has nothing in it, all your stuff will be pushed to legacy.

100 corruption increases LP chance by 5% if I remmener correctly, 300 by 10% and 500 by 14%, so it's a relatively small bonus...
I think I watched a frozenSentinel video recently where he tested this with 1M favor, and I think he concluded that prophecies are affected as well

Hey guys. I'm new to ARPGs and decided to start with LE which was what attracted me the most.
I'm building a fire spellblade at first. I was able to understand how I increase my damage, using the tags of the skills I chose. But I still have some questions and I hope you can help me.
- I find 2 items with the same affix (fire damage T2 affixes for example). Can the percentage of damage or amount of damage be different between these items or since both are T2, will they be exactly the same?
- When searching for my items or crafting them. How is it recommended to divide defensive and offensive affixes? Full offensive weapons and accessories and full defensive armor?
- Regarding resistances, do I look for them through affixes on items or do I leave them to idols?
- If I break a T5 affix, for example, when adding it to another item, will it go straight to T5?
I'm trying not to follow guides regarding the build, I want to build it myself, but at the moment it's these doubts that are confusing me.
- Usually the more specific an affix is the higher its damage. You can see their values in lastepochtools.com for example in the planner
- It's up to you. You decide how much offensive or tanky you want your character to be and there is no benefit from going full offensive or defensive in each item individually, only the total picture matters, but I find it easier to change gear if I mix them a bit
- It depends on the build. Usually it is easier to get some from passives and armour (implicits can also work well there) and use idols to make up for a bit you are missing as you change gear. The cap is 75% by the way, but there are some items, passives and skills that provide a bonus for going over it.
- No. If you break a T5 affix with a rune of removal you get 5 shards of that affix for later crafting and that's it.

You seems to be doing Cold Skill, but you are using a Cold/XXX Scale of Eterra. Bad idea

XXX means no LP? I'm using build from maxroll and now i'm thinking about this item. It gives me 21 int nad 6 spell crit, so it boost my crit chance perfectly, but this passives is killing my boss fights or smooth clear in maps.
XXX is the other element in your case Lightning (I believe)
With scale is 50% of the dmg you deal more and more dmg, and 50% of the time you deal 20% of your dmg
Take a non Cold Scale so you are not affected

i was trying to farm Abomination, for his betl, but on 100 corruption it feels like pain. It's easy to get him and kill, but there is a low chance for his belt. So right now im farming gran armor blessing to take care of my armor

Your biggest priority is also finding gear with more mana on it. Once you have at least 1000 mana, the build feels a lot better. It scales both your DPS and ward generation

If attribute scaling says it grants increased damage per point, it's in the same bucket as all your other increased damage. If it's something different like +1 damage per attribute, then it's a different bucket.

No, you must be in MG to equip items bought through MG (and likewise, need to be in CF to use items gained through CF drop bonuses)

Could anyone explain the differences between cycle and legacy?
If there's only the Fact, that there are no leaderboards and some bosses a couple of weeks later, i don't see the benefits of the cycle, because I cannot transfer the loot to the cycle boxes.
So I'm thinking about making the next character as a legacy character. In this case I don't lose the loot after the cycle.
Or am I understanding it wrongly?

Oh check out the skill list, only assemble abomination (necromancer), aerial assault (falconer), swarmblade form (druid) and glyph of dominion (runemaster) can apply this affix on, so this affix is a bit no sense indeed

Usually just filter them out after lvl 10 or so.
Rare case you want to see one would be if you hunt for specific Affixes
And combine with this T6 affix on frozen light, more useless

Is there something I can do about the game hiccup'ing whenever I start a beacon or aggro a timeline boss? Whenever Misshapen ecko boss does an ambush, my game freezes and then I'm dead whenever it comes back. RTX 4080 Super, 32GB DDR ram, Ryzen 9 3900XT CPU, game is on a fast SSD. I've lowered the settings all the way down, it still happens.

If using scurry dot will come from bleed and squirrels do a lot of bleed and cold node will give them cold tag for the + skills and there is gear that can make minions bleed chance higher and last longer.
On top of increasing there damage with the totem or there is a critical version of the build.

The Void Horrors from the Beacon dont count
The void horrors from the end of monoliths do not count towards that prophecy
You need to run in one of the three void-themed monoliths for them to have a chance of appearing in your echoes. If you see one in an echo, that means they are in that echo's spawn pool, so it might be worthwhile to clear out more of that echo. Hey everyone, my friend finished normal monos for the first time ever and I was with them on my alt who I exclusively played with them and we got our first harbinger but my friend didn't get a quest and can't progress with the whole forgotten knight quest. They can access empowered timelines and we even did a second harbinger but no quest. Anyone know why or how we can fix this?
We tried having them restart the game and go solo in case my presence was a problem already

I actually do not know if there is an official name for it haha, but the surefire way to make someone host would be for your friend to invite you to their session and go from there
99% of the Dmg reduction sources are Multiplicative
Otherwise you would reach 100% Dmg Reduction very easily
For example, beastmaster primalist gets access to three sources of damage reduction, 30% from upgraded boar, 16% from close enemies and 20% at low health

So I really enjoy playing LE not only for the content but also for the developers/community. Both are truly wonderful-but I have had a hard time reaching end game. My wife and I reached lvl 40 and she wanted to take a break. Since then i've struggled getting through parts of the campaign again. I was trying to play a Falconer but I usually struggle gaining levels. Besides that i've tried to go down the Mage route but once again I get sort of bored with it. I really enjoy my higher leveled character but i'm not sure how else I can level up and do things besides the main questline. Any suggestions for this or do I just need to deal with it and push through?
There really isnt a way to level besides doing campaign until you can handle monoliths.
Except just ignoring it and head straight to monoliths, not really. (Monoliths unlock as soon as you get your mastery)

That is normal. Like Kzb said is some of your other empowered monoliths has higher corruption there is a catch up mechanic to spawn shade of orobyss after completing one echo
it has been fixed, when you lower the corr then when the map refreshes it will have one appear nearby for you to return to the starting point if you want, just 1 time
it's kinda new feature for faster pushing when you have too much gazes

There are 4 zones of the arena and I can tell what 2 of them do (lighning storm and Lagon waves) but I'm not sure what the other 2 are. So you can use F to open the Forge anywhere, so this bug isn't really a blocker.
Verifying your game files is done through Steam, it just checks all the files are downloaded correctly and installed in the right place - it usually fixes some of the smaller weird bugs like this!

Have the devs ever made it so you can read the whole text of a dialogue in one go, instead of waiting a minute for it to scroll? I've been holding off because I can't get into the story easily with the way dialogue works at the moment
So you can set rules for each Stash tab and then when you Shift+Right Click items in your inventory while the Stash is open, the item will go to the Tab where it match the rules!
They probably feel that way because they just like playing Cycle, I don't think there's much EHG can do to alleviate the feeling tbh, it's basically just the feeling people get as a result of combining all the other poll response options

Yeah, exactly. The idea is you set up a tab for your keys, a tab for exalted rings, a tab for whatever, and then you can quick dump your whole inventory into your stash and it all goes where you set it to go.
It's set up with checkboxes and dropdown menus, your language setting shouldn't matter
(unless EHG forgot to add localizations to the UI, which would make it hard to use, but I'm sure they did that 😅 )

It's not on either of those UI panels, it's on the tab edit panel where you set the name/color/icon for that specific stash tab

in my death screens the killing blow damage from a boss in empowered is about twice what I think it should be according to tunklabs, I think it could be because of the penetration per area level
comparing the values from the ehp calculator and the death screen is a bit weird because the killing blow damage is affected by your damage reduction (this is just to get a rough look, I am not taking in consideration several DR layers):
Emperor of Corpses' Soul Bomb at 510 corruption --> 10k
Emperor of Corpses' Soul Bomb at 510 corruption without my Null Portent (20% DR and 7% res) --> 13.8k
Emperor of Corpses' Soul Bomb at 510 corruption without my Null Portent (20% DR and 7% res) and Seed of Ekkidrasil (26% damage to mana) --> 15.2k and 7k overkill extra (so it looks like the damage to mana is counted only for the overkill value)
but for myself the overkill value sits very well with the (boss estimated damage * 2) - ehp against one shots from the ehp calculator

I didn't see the original poster account for Lagon's stats in their calcs. Lagon has a 205% more damage modifier, so their damage calc should be multiplied by 3.05, which then might line up with the damage they took once you account for their armor and whatever other damage reduction they have.
the only way to really do it is to use cleaver solution and str stack, with lowlife
Primarily the low life items like exsang, last steps, and experimental gloves (alternatively regen stacking with vessel). Then using cleaver solution to get ward retention per strength.

Endurance is really good for Hp builds
as beast master you can easily get around 900 health regen with aspect of the panther with swipe and get a decent hybrid health ward ehp
another option for going hybrid is going nuts with a mana generator and another mana spender skill and the affix mana spent gained as ward (eg with the belt from Abomination) (not that I have tried it though, but I think it would be rather low ward)
the problem is mostly building ward retention, another tool you can use that they have not mentioned are the crows, which can give you 10 intelligence (10*4% ward retention) each
and another thing for building ward retention is using Frostbite Shackles and going way over the cold resistance cap (its efficiency was nerfed in 1.1 to half)
personally I wouldn't build ward on a primalist right now, unless it was some kind of experiment

The chance to proc is added together. Whatever attack speed gets you to proc the max (3 per second) on a single target, it's going to depend largely on what skill you use.
It takes quite a lot of attack speed to cap it out unless you dual wield, so generally just get as much as you can for bosses - for clearing you hit cap super easy since you can hit a lot of enemies per attack

For context, I got my 100hrs in at launch and haven’t played much since. The event looks promising, but seen a lot of controller complaints (especially with ranged builds) lately
Overall its pretty good, prolly say like 90% of the skills work fine. It has the normal distance/targetting jank that controllers have in these types of games. And the normal inventory jank too. The latest patch did mess up some targeting on controllers from what i heard, but that hopefully gets fixed on next patch

Skipping this chapter with the dungeon shouldn't affect any quests in it. It didn't in the past either, so if something has changed, submit a bug report. Just make sure you really can't use the zone transition or any waypoints in the isle of storms.

Hey guys, so I did Lightless Arbor, and now I am able to teleport to Imperial Era. How does that work exactly? What happens to the quests I have yet to do in Ruined Era? And the rewards I would get from those quests?
your main quest gets advanced basically, but you still need to go back and do side quests for your points and idol slots
my understanding is that all **ailments inherit the multipliers ** from the skill that applies them (unless it's stated that e.g only applies to hit portion).
this means that you have 2 poisons on a target where 1 deals 100 dmg and another 300 damage if they were applied by different skills....
But how does this work for Shadow Daggers where different skills apply stacks that don't deal dmg and then only trigger 1 instance of shadow daggers once you reach 4 stacks where 3 different skills could have contributed to stacking those 4 stacks?
So Shadow Dagger is a weird one (like Spark Charge)

It does not. It's an ailment that procs another damage skill, so inheritance doesn't really do anything. (The inheritance is tied to the ailment but not what it procs)

No. Shadow Dagger inherits 0 things from skills, it's a seperate proc and thus doesn't inherit. It will do the same damage regardless of what applied the stacks.

Yes, they'll do the exact same damage regardless of WHAT applied the shadow daggers.
Eg: 4 stacks from sync strike and 4 stacks from shadow cascade all do the same shadow daggers damage.

Problem with Bo and Block is it's not a shield
So you cant slam Exalted Block Chance on it, making it really hard to be blocked capped (or near capped)
COnsidering your sources of block and kinda non-existant... (All you have is the ring and glove affix, which are best case + 12% block chance total)

Your char goes to the softcore mode, and only your char. Your factions and stash stay in hardcore.

Well this game is different and I think hardcore is pretty "stupid" since the progression is vastly different from class, gear and rng gear/forge upgrades.
Benchmark is just full defence character that does lower dmg or go more normal and hope it works out.
Sentinel, acolyte or mage are safer bets.

in poe, you can still get by in HCSSF Ruthless even and still have a fairly quick and smooth progression
though I do hear that in LE, you really have to sacrifice offenses for defenses
and that it slows down the pace/progression quite a bit

in PoE, the offense part is usually fine and you reach certain defensive benchmarks regardless of the mode you're playing in
Bleed hammer forgeguard is great though, has a mix of everything if I were to recommend something

How does area level/corruption interact with rewards from prophecies (if at all)?
Chances for LP on uniques for example, are they the same for prophecy completed in campaign and one completed in 300 corruption mono?
On that topic - let's say i want high LP Julra ring, does tier of the dungeon matter? (lower tiers have higher chances for ring to drop, but higher level zone have higher change for lp according to game guide)
Corruption affects LP chance on uniques dropped from prophecies, that's about the only thing that affects them (though it's not a massive increase).
Yes, dungeon tier matters because of the effects you mentioned. I'm not sure which is really the "most efficient" all things considered, but I always run the highest I can comfortably do for chances at getting a good obsession or vessel.

Area level does affect them, I'm not sure exactly how, though. It might be the usual effect, or only some of those - either way, lower level is probably worse.

popped a unique armor prophecy on lvl 4 boss, got:

2lp the scavenger (req lvl 9, LPL 9)
1lp thornshell (req lvl 52, lpl 20)

to apply poisons is actually pretty good. 500-600 corruption farm with a lot of tankyness and leech helping you survive a lot of boss mechanics.

when you play a lot of ARPGs, eventually you get to a point where you reach the end goals much faster than the length of a cycle.
e.g. have several lvl 97+ chars on 1.1 cycle...
and when you get to that point, getting to start over from 0 is more fun than doing yet another char with the stash full of OP items....
this is the main driver for ppl joining the reset

what makes it good is that no matter what kind of build you make, there's several viable farming strategies you can choose that suit the strengths of your particular build....
this means that no matter what kind of build you pick, you'll have several different strats to pick from that are suited for that build
So, the question is not really a matter of the RNG itself, it's a matter of, is the endgame itself engaging enough to justify doing something over and over.

If that's not the case, then might be a bug.
The only shortness of the first harbinger appear in normal timeline only is if your alt had unlocked empowered timelines, you have to go back. The feeling is quite odd... 🤔

Hello, whats a nice build that has a smooth progression to it? Kind of a weird criteria, ive tried plasma orb and rive void knight in the past and both were nice
in 1.1 glacier sorcerer and bleed falconer are great starters and can do all the content easily
bladedancer shadow daggers is used for fastest bladedancer lvling from like lvl 18 and you can progress it all the way into 500-800 corruption with just smal lincremental upgrades

What is the quickest way to push corruption? Doing each Echo of a World as I find them or to just push further away before doing one?
wait until you have 4 gazes of Orobyss (52 corruption, 12+1 each, the +1 is with rank 7 in the FK faction)
you get gazes of Orobyss from:
- 1 when you defeat the timeline boss (and Harbinger if it spawned)
- +3 if you equip a needle idol when you kill them
- +1 when you kill a Harbinger (with rank 10 in FK)
when you fight a shade do it the farthest away from the start as possible (18 corruption max, but it is pretty rare), something like 12-16 is usually ok, they also give more loot that way
once you have 40 corruption more in another timeline you can catch up to it quickly by killing the shade of Orobyss from the node that spawns at the beginning of the monolith web after you finish some echoes (I can't remember if it is 1 or 2 or if it depends)
once you have enough glyphs of envy and needles the fastest way to increase corruption in your highest timeline is to make use of the corruption bonus from having 4 gazes and reapeat the process as fast as possible
you need 8 gazes in order to spawn the shade of Orobyss echo at the beginning of the web, which are easily obtained from killing the boss and using needles
By timeline boss do you mean the Harbingers? Or the actual time line quest boss?
global damage and global crit damage multiplier affects minions?
the timeline boss, doing the Harbinger does not matter, if anything it helps because it can drop a needle
If it doesn't say it affects minions specifically I do not think it affects minions
