i think you mean implicit. It means that the stat will be replaced by another once you kill an harbinger, and the item will have another look (and name)

Hi guys, i a noob+ poe player (750h) and i wanted to try something new, the thing i don't like we poe is the fact that i need to grind 5000h to completly understand the game and do theorycraft by mself, is Last Epoch better in this way ?
I've seen that a lot of player quitted the game recently, why ? i would mostly maybe play SOLO SSF or SOLO Trade (maybe SSF to start to understand the game well)

Ehhhh debatable, we JUST got a pinnacle boss this season.
it's not fat however, it's just pretty hard to get top of the line items with many LPs and then successfully slam stats on them
Chars aren't transferable, but you can swap between online or offline whenever.

what you'll have to decide beforehand as you reach that point is whether you want to play CoF or MG faction.
Each faction has different uses for your gameplay
like every hns i think, i get bored in poe too, grinding the 1% more dps isn't the max fun
if you're the SSF kind (and/or will only play offline) then CoF is basically for you, but MG has a marketplace to trade with other players

some instances take like 30 seconds if you rush the objective but if you also look for nemesis then it can take up to 5 minutes

It's just a pathfinding refresh rate issue
Nothing you can do about it other than slow them down some, performance would likely tank if they made the pathfinding keep up with move speed

Depends. For uniques, they just change. Affixes (including red ones on legendaries) are weird, case by case what happens to them.

the falcon is also minion damage, so just normal throw or melee damage won't effect it, only minion melee/throw

nah. sorc and rm can use mana strike very well in their own rights. either for proc'ing things or just for stupid mana sustain.

Like I would think <75 = uncapped. 75 = capped. >75 = overcapped.
Uncapped just means “ignoring the 75 cap”
(Which means any and all resist of that type)

They gain them but can't convert them to anything useful, so no.
Has anyone had issues where the game loses the cursor once it has left the screen? (I run two screen on my system but LE runs only on the main. I notice that action for left mouse is replaced to support a controller but one isnt plugged in. If I left click witrh the mouse the character runs down left of the map until it encounters an obstacle.
I am thinking about a build similar to maxroll spark charge sorc, but Spellblades get easy crit in their tree. I don't wanna use firebrand, so like Flameward, Enchant Weapon, TP, Mana Strike and maybe a filler unspecced. Or would you say that Pokerkid's spellblade build with firebrand is sooo much more dmg that it is worth using firebrand all 6-7 sec to keep the stacks?

tbh cycling between the timelines (bosses) to find out what drops from them is a better way because what's the point of getting the list of items dropped from bosses when those are exclusive, it's not like the pool is shared

Psojed found a way to limit the LETools search to just Boss Drops, though it's not text only like Tunklabs would be (already tried the same search parameters on Tunklabs and it doesn't work)
You could use that info to start a Google or Excel Sheet and log them all so you have that list 🙂
If it helps, getting LETools to list every unique in a table, can at least let you sort through "What's a random drop and what isn't a random drop".

The answer is yes, it already exists, but like you said, it "does not have what you wanted to see".
Noob question: Is the reduce extra dmg from crit an "all or nothing" stat? Do I get benefits for stacking it to, say, 88%, or are there any shenanigans that make it so much better at 100% than 99%?
it's not an all or nothing stat. Having 88% would make crits become a x1.12 incoming damage instead of x2 incoming damage
Crit Avoidance however is an "all or nothing" stat. If you avoid a crit, you take normal incoming damage. If you don't avoid, you take x2 incoming damage.
Having 88% Crit Avoidance still has benefits, in that most incoming hits will be normal hits. But once in a while, you'll take the full brunt, so I'd say 88% Crit Avoidance is less safe than 88% Crit dmg reduction.
but crit avoidance on the other hand is easier to fill out, because you can get the 70% blessing and only need one T5 affix to fill out the rest, granted you dont have a source from passives like rogue

They are good ignite build boots. Overall, it just depends on your build which is easier.

like, at lvl 67 I'm very likely still wearing some rare boots from leveling, so until you get your preferred method of crit DR, this is the simplest way to achieve that.
besides, the blessing slot is used for leech and all resistances, I would never use it for crit avoidance
You also realistically don't need crit avoid/reduced crit damage capped until empowered.
well the boots don't cap it, but they take you from 0% to 75-85%
A pair of citadel boots also give you up to 50%, and it still has affix slots!
that's an upgrade path. Until you find t7 movespeed with correct affixes, it'll take you a while

The moment I hit level 67, I can go and grab the unique boots. It gives me 30-38% movespeed AND 75-85% crit reduction. It's good, regardless if I play an ignite build or not. And the amount of time required to obtain them is one teleport to the Bazaar.
You were talking about Citadel boots. Those have level requirement of lvl 85. There is no reason to wear lvl 85 yellow boots when I already have unique boots since lvl 67 that give me more of the crit reduction stat we were talking about, and also more movespeed.
Yes, if you really want the other affixes, then obviously you don't buy fiery dragon shoes.

The thing is that you DON'T need crit avoidance realistically till near 80, where you can hold off about 5 levels to get citadels, or build around it.
It IS an easy way to get crit avoid, but at what cost? Only have two affixes on boots? This doesn't assume that you're running unique boots that you need of course, which then it's not even a method to use.
Unless one is REALLY desperate for crit avoid, then that is an option, but that makes me wonder "What in the world happened to your equipment that would require you to do that?"
Also er, if you're CoF, that damn thing is a RARE drop. It took me two 80+ chars to see one during 1.0 CoF.

A good chunk of builds run the all res blessing instead, saves even more affix slots.
yeah but on the other hand there are solid items like spidersilk or necrotic that have good resistance numbers on their implicit, and you can add some from passives or idols
That does mostly depend on how your item build is.
i mean aside from nihilis (or omnis maybe i suppose) most amulets can be replaced, and there aren't really many belts that are BiS, if any
if you are playing a shield you can even get a T5 ares to complement if you're fine with it

I think cycle is a good choice for new players and livestream content creators, it is not suitable for people who pursue their characters and builds to the end.
i actually tried almost all the classes and some mastery in this cycle and found no need to repeat it again lol

grinding for a 1 LP unique wand, a purple that had 1-2 decent stats to slam with, and then dying over and over to julra - it's too much. took me at least 30 hours just to get some average stuff and successfully get the least desired affix

So, on harbinger knights rank 4 you get extra empowerments on Nemesis, does this make LP1 uniques kinda the worst drops in uniques? I haven't got to rank 4 yet.
Since empowering them only require you to fight Nemesis, not going through the time mage dungeon and that boss every time.
None of the ranks make any changes to how the egg works on uniques. That said, yeah many people do like getting 0 LP uniques more, especially when they already have good 1 LP items, since it has a chance to actually become better than a 1 LP. It does take a while to egg things though.
What new stuff? Legacy and Cycle has the same content. There’s currently no realistic difference between legacy and cycle, other than wanting a fresh start.

You won't lose anything, your current cycle data will be transferred to the legacy server, a cycle is a new server where you can only start from scratch, and it lasts from 1-4 months depending on the situation, in this case 2 months. They are the same version with no big difference, a large part of players can earn money from the cycle which makes them stay.

Thanks to the support of this discord and the guide on maxroll, I began playing LE last week and pushed my first character, torment warlock to 160 corruption, but I'm kinda hitting a small bump here where for several of the bosses I feel if I'm not careful I just get one shot (harbinger in dark sun, time mage in temporal dungeon II).
I'm not so sure about this ward meta specifically because warlock needs to hit stuff to debuff them and gain ward to feel safe.
There are 15 masteries but sorcerer takes up 22% of the player base. The numbers speak for its imbalance.
Yeah, I'm inclined to try a sorc next. Is fireball meta now? I think fireball / meteor probably looks like one of the most visually pleasing fire builds in ARPGs.
Mage is not my style, but I tried playing with Spark Charge and Crit build for a while, the damage is terrible, you don't need much equipment, just build mana and armor
I wonder how often LE's updates would brick previous builds, or that previously created builds would maybe just go through minor changes and be good again unless it's a major skill nerf.

I'd think it's less likely in LE; PoE has a massive amount of moving parts/things to balance so things get hit by proxy sometimes. Things in LE is much more intentional as the classes are contained, as such funky interactions are very unlikely.

by default skills have 5% base crit chance, but this can be increased with points in certain skills (for that skill only)
keep in mind that in the character sheet you only see the general crit chance, not the skill specific crit chance
the default crit chance can also be increased with melee crit chance for melee weapons only, and with certain unique items that give +% crit chance, like Phantom Grip
other increments to critical strike chance are percentage increments over the base crit chance

It's consistent following the "Increased, Added, More" rules of LE.
Increased only increases whatever base you have.
Eg: 200% increased melee damage makes a 10 damage melee into 30.
The same increase with +10 base damage turns a 10 damage melee into (10+10) x (100%+200%) = 60 damage.
Same rules apply for critical strrike chance.
Does anyone know the skill level caps in relation to player level? Is there a chart somewhere?

Added can't work well without inceased and vice versa.
If all you have is added you can't ever break 30% crit chance.
COmbine added and increased you can hit 70+% crit chance with some work.
IT's the one that dodges without a spec node.

In this exemple, if you are using a cold skill
The implicit (Bow Dmg) will be converted to match the tag of the skill (cold)
But the Fire Bow Dmg already has an element and will stay Fire
So if you have Inc Dmg, Inc Bow Dmg it will affect both part of your Dmg
But Inc Cold Dmg will work just on the cold Part
but that fire bow dmg is added to the cold skill base, affected my the added dmg effectiveness and all the skill multipliers even though the skill is "cold"?

The Bow Fire Dmg will be processed by the Dmg Effectiveness and to the total amount of Dmg. But some of your Inc Dmg or More Dmg might not work because it will be Fire

reduced mana is typically a flat amount (like -3 mana for throwing attacks), mana efficiency is a little tricker as it counts mana as if it counts for more. For example if you have a skill that cost 100 mana and you have 100% mana efficiency your spell will cost 50 mana (because each mana point counts as 2). If you have 200% mana efficiency (1 mana + 200% = 3) it would cost 33.333 mana.

it depends, some skills dont need more points than necessary so other stats can be preferred
and also these +skills can be useless for your build if you're not using them (e.g falcon fists if you're not using either one of them)

How to calculate the spell crit chance?

your base critical chance is 5%
any %increase is calculated with that, so 100% spell crit would give you 10% crit chance as a final result
thats why you would want some sort of base crit chance so your % increase scales higher

So arcane focus node on rune master, what is considered direct cast? Like actually using the skill? Does channelling count as a direct cast? And does that happen each second?

Channeling is one direct cast, just when you start channeling
Not a super easy way, but you can look at the health (or EHP calc for non-health stuff) and swap the affix to see which is higher
Generally % HP is better at all stages until you get to very high % HP total
yeah this was just an example, flats probably never beating %. i was gonna do this with mana and mana%, i think flat can win here coz of 50% from one item that everyone uses for the build
Yeah, flat mana can definitely beat out % in a lot more cases compared to health. Basically just gotta do the thing above, swap out affixes and see

Seems to be rubberbanding on losing stability for mono bosses deaths between patches (some patch you do lose, some you dont) but recent one you do lose stability dying

it was reintroduced with the patch after the frozensentinel vid about farming a boss over and over for favor gain. so, not a bug. it was probably a bug before not costing stability.

i think i read necrolitic's question incorrectly also, yeah you're meant to be able to drop it more than once. sometimes i drop my vk timeline from 1k to 200-300 for blessing farming coz he kills bosses so slowly. so i do 50 over and over until it goes down to 200-300. but again, it doesn't work the first time and i have to do it again so i go to 310, then i do whole thing again to drop it do 300

It breaks the item and gives you the affix shard for any affix currently on the item (automatically transferred to bank) from 0 to the number of tier of the affix

If I was looking for an absolute brain-dead easy build to play, what would y'all recommend? I'd really like to be able to beat bosses at 100+ corr but the one build I've gotten to that point (this guy: https://maxroll.gg/last-epoch/build-guides/judgement-aura-paladin-guide) has such high gear requirements to work at that point that I can't find any more upgrades to get further. I've been able to do one or two bosses, but most of them one-shot me as soon as I miss a mechanic. I'm not worried about the game getting too easy/being bored, I'm just trying to find some build for some class that'll be easier to make and use.
