Yo I'm confused. On maxroll leveling guide it says:

"After defeating the Frostroot Warden boss and completing chapter 7 quests, you have reached the cap of 15 Passive points and 8 Idol slots. You can dive into the Monolith of Fate or you can choose to finish the campaign for a reward of +1 to all attributes."

But rn I'm in chapter 8 missing idol slots, I'm assuming it's pre 1.0 and it updated?

It's not a matter of labels being large, it's a matter of them being simply inaccurate. You can make a quick test yourself: if you look closely you'll see by slowly moving the mouse over a label that it starts registering only after a few pixels inside the rectangle, not at the boundary of the rectangle which it should. I mean virtually every h&s have this figured out but in this one, for some reason, I'm constantly misclicking on labels while trying to loot rapidly which simply doesn't happen in other games of the sort.

hey guys - I asked this in General, but I guess that was the wrong place... been trying for ~ 30+ mins now ... am able to get into the game fine, but the "connecting" logo doesn't disappear... is that happening for anyone else? Tried changing servers and restarted comp as well... from the End of Time town, I'm able to walk into Monoliths as well - instant port, no lag - but the connecting logo remains and I'm unable to interact with anything...

Decently on low settings. Had to switch to Proton Expeimental to even get it to start . The game doesn't quite like the resolution, monolith Quest Echoes are slightly too far left and clip out of the screen, but are still selectable. Had one crash after 2 monolith zones at the start and I played several more + 2 echoes with no issues. That is on my offline character in full offline mode. I have not tried the online yet.
As you might suspect targeting is imprecise with a joystick. I wouldn't even attempt it if my character wasn't a tanky melee paladin.

I'm looking to highlight rares that are useful to craft for my build and filter by affixes and the total tiers of affixes - how many total tiers of affixes do items typically drop with, and how many are craftable in most scenarios?

I have a question regarding FPS. When there's nothing going on I have 60-70 FPS but in battles it drops down into the 25 FPS in dense areas when I use my abilities. Playing bleed warlock certainly add's to the problem but 25 FPS is borderline unplayable...

Changing the graphics settings to very low and even lowering the screen resolution had no affect to performance at all. Same FPS drops. I'm using an RTX 2080 and an I9-9900K.

Can I do anything to get rid of this problem?

There is kinda, but it's not worth it unless you farm a specific enemy that shreds resistances or shocks or curses with Marked for Dead. The (up to 75% based on level) penetration is applied at the end. It's in the in-game guide on Resistance

I’m having performance issues, I’m not sure if it’s my internet connection or the graphic settings I’ve applied, but my character seems to lag when I walk. The game stutters and sets me back a few paces. Can anyone help figure out how to solve this problem? I’m not sure that’s it my internet because I’m able to run other games with stable internet. Progress stays but you lose any faction points/prophecies you had stored up and you lose the ability to wear that factions gear once you leave it.

@radiant meteor If you have more time to play then I recommend CoF. If you have less time then do the Merchant's Guild.

@keen salmon A lens is used to narrow down prophecies you can choose from when looking at the star systems thing.

Is there anyway to change binds on the controller?
I had them changed in 0.9, and they carried over to 1.0, but because of another bug, i had to restore the default key binds and now it gives the "whatever button is already binded and cannot be replaced" error.
I been playing a lot with my layout (top buttons are the 4 abilities, X is right click and Y is potion). And would be impossible for me to play with the default layout (mostly because it makes no sense).
Only info I could find online is to remap the controller itself instead :/

@normal rock always active everywhere. You can change the Blessing by fighting that boss again and maybe getting something different. Also note that Empowered Blessings are just better than regular Blessings.

@wicked grove No. There's no way to change an item base currently.

@fallow jasper no. Sealed affixes are not used or counted in Legendary Crafting. So it's a good way to remove a mod you don't want to see possibly showing up on the Legendary.

@pallid elm no. Ascendance does not do boss-only drops

@wide star Shatter will do between zero and the tier number in shards. It always gives at least one shard, though. If you really want that affix use Removal instead.

@normal cedar if you want to make a new Cycle character, yes. There's also a Legacy game mode you can play if you want to keep playing the same character. Cycle characters are moved to Legacy when the Cycle ends.

@torpid hemlock the "shared" affix also has minion damage.

Hi there, today I went to Temporal sanctum to merge my first Legendary, after I killed the boss I entered both Unique and Exalted item inside crafter. Crafter visualy closed but I have never received item, Loot filter disabled also showed nothing.. was it a bug?

Any build suggestions? my preferences are:
1 - Damage to front while moving, I don't want to go back to loot items
2 - Not stopping for damage like runemaster self casts
3 - The faster the better, I am hesitant to go necromancer because it seems slow
I played falcon explosive ballista, it was good but I just want to try new things. I also tried falcon shadow daggers it was fine I guess I just didn’t like the wait for the main damage skill.
My thoughts:

  • Blast rain marksman looks good but it seems like casting takes too much time and also backtracks a little bit
  • Thorn totem shaman feels slow I played it in beta
  • Warlock is not preferred
  • Necromancer also looks slow

Is Lagon just imba? Is this a known thing? Friend and I played and he just destroyed us, both in the campaign and in the monolith. The latter in particular... I think the only reason we got through was due to his tentacles being bugged. Nothing else has been nearly on the same tier of being as unforgiving. Every other boss has felt like child's play by comparison, both in damage and how long you have to react.

The Set/Unique helmet Echoes have a higher chance at appearing then more corruption you stack on.

If you can handle it, try dialing the corruption up otherwise pray for a Red Tower Echo to appear (bad with names forgive please), as this re-rolls all echo rewards.

@mystic quarry : Answers your question as well. Go for Empowered, those echos can show up in story but are rare as hell.

@frank iris : The general rule is to not scale story corruption. Do all farming in Empowered.

@mystic quarry : Empowered Monos are your best option and scale corruption as you can.

@steady vessel : Monoliths. Corruption is good.

From the Fall of the Empire monolith, the blessings have to do with shard drop rates. E.g. prefix shard drop rate, relic shard drop rate, etc.
For things like "relic shard drop rate", does this mean a shard for ANY affix that can be on a relic? For example, I am a falconer and want "levels of ballista" which can be rolled on relics. Would it be prudent to choose this option if that's the shard that I need the most or should I just go for prefixes?

@primal light The Monolith bosses have Pools of Blessings specific to each boss. It'll select some from those pools to offer you. So you may get a different selection or a better roll of the one you want.

@arctic geode the item level doesn't matter, just the general item base type. Rune of Ascendance acts like it's an area level 100 drop. So it can do any non-boss-only Unique/Set item. But some are definitely less common and there's always RNG

@twin obsidian most are just that one item. There's a few with a higher level base type, so like basically some extra armor from the implicit. And there's a few with better versions, like Fang and Claw. But there's also the Legendary Potential Uniques! Check out Legendary items in the in game guide.

@late plover Shatter can give you zero to the tier number in shards for each affix on the item, but it always gives a minimum of one shard. The exception are things like experimental affixes, which don't shatter.

@burnt pivot I don't believe so. Items need to say minions on the affixes for it to work with minions.

@west totem huh it's not lowering the stability? That sounds like it's a bug.

I have a couple questions on how scaling works with my current build, if anyone could help me that would be amazing. So for starters I am a Primalist who is going into minion/totem cold damage build. I took thorn totem, eterras blessing, storm totem, and crows. I went down the path of cold for each I could. My plan is to go for Heorot's path and Eternal storm under the shaman tree. Stack freeze rate chance / minion damage / attunement / cold damage... etc. I notice Heorot's path has scaling listed for both MY freeze rate multiplier and my MINIONS freeze rate multiplier. Now when I go into my character stats and search for freeze rate multiplier... it's listed under OTHER and stacked. There is no instance of freeze rate multi on my minions tab of the stat page. Does my freeze rate multiplier apply globally to my minions/totems? Also, Eternal storm states whenever YOU kill a frozen enemy it procs. does that include my minions/totems who are doing most of my damage or do I have to melee them to kill them? Sorry for the long question hopefully someone can help.

Okay so I have a HUGE PROBLEM. I have a max level char turns out SSF means I CAN'T ACCESS STASH with my own other chars. I saved so so many items for my alts literally spent hours to move items around to have space.
Somebody told me in DM that it's possible to fix cus im playing fully offline.

So I have one SSF char I wanna just copy paste the stash to another char I made I have bunch of Save files that are updated each day and I saved them each day to different drive just in case in Appdata/LocalRow/EleventhHour in folder Saves

So I have plenty of STASH_2_0_TAB_13 back files when I createed my new offline char like 15 mins ago
2 FILES WERE created donno i thought these Save files had more files than just stash of the char or what

@scenic gust prophecies don't do boss-only drops. Besides those, you can get any of the other global drop uniques from them.

@radiant roost the basic crafting is very simple. Try it out. Slap an extra affix on an item or upgrade one.

From the Fall of the Empire monolith, the blessings have to do with shard drop rates. E.g. prefix shard drop rate, relic shard drop rate, etc.
For things like "relic shard drop rate", does this mean a shard for ANY affix that can be on a relic? For example, I am a falconer and want "levels of ballista" which can be rolled on relics. Would it be prudent to choose this option if that's the shard that I need the most or should I just go for prefixes?

@tame ingot sentinel is perfectly viable, especially paladin has several top builds. Forge guard is generally considered one the worst masteries but it still has its builds for all content.

@scenic gust Yes, Mourningfrost is not a boss-only drop. So you can get out from anywhere, including Rune if Ascendance and Prophecies. If you're looking at "target farm" that just means that timeline may have echo rewards that can give a quote random Unique/Set Boots. Basically extra drop chances. But that doesn't mean it's only from that timeline.

There is no unique Cycle only mechanic. Not yet. That is not going to happen for a bit: They need to work on Polish & Endgame stuff first. Cycles is to get new to Isometric ARPG players at this point used to Starting over & Vets also enjoy it from other games.

This cycle brought us all of the 1.0 changes which apply to Legacy as well. There will come a time there will be cycle only mechanics, just not yet.

Why do resistances seem so useless? I killed Liath twice, once with no resistances, and a second time with about 60% lightning res, and there was no discernable difference between how much damage I took. Either way the stuff that is supposed to be entirely avoided still one shot me, and the unavoidable attacks still hit me for like 1/3rd to half my health. Are resistances just not any good unless paired with some other defensive stats like armor and hp?

If you're talking about the mountain tree, the middle of the room under the boss is safe when he does the entire room green kaboom

If you're talking about necrotic ground on Soulfire Bastion dungeon, u can swap shield when he covers the floor

And if you're talking about the big kaboom on Julra, u can swap phases with the dungeon ability

I don't understand the meta purpose of runes of shattering. With a cost of 2k gold, they are not meaningfully gated at medium power tiers and above by cost. An infinite supply is available, but you have to keep cycling between vendors. This isn't difficult, but it does feel more like a tedious chore than a thoughtful gameplay element.

This chore could be partially remediated by giving individual merchants an infinite stack of runes, but that seems like a naive solution. Why isn't shattering simply a function built into the forge? If there's a compelling case for GP gating every pull of the lever could still cost 2k gold, but it's not clear to me why that would be necessary or desirable. If the intent is for the runes themselves to be a gating mechanism, then it seems like they should only rarely be sold at vendors, if at all; certainly not 5-7 at a time every refresh. If gold is intended to be a gating mechanism, perhaps each activation of "shatter" from the forge might cost gold based on an item's required level and total sum of affix tiers.

What is the gameplay philosophy behind their current implementation? Is it functioning as intended?

Hi, in the patch notes it's written that the unique quiver Zeurial's Hunt was buffed : "Triggered effects grant 62-92% lightning penetration (from 42-62%)" but in game, it's still the old range 42-62. Was this change canceled ?

It looks like I still can't load in a character (US W). I've tried two different characters but I can't seem to load in. I know others have been able to get in, is there something I am missing? @quiet onyx not really. Your characters are on the LE servers, but you could also just use Steam Cloud save for your offline characters.

been playing two player, it's great. lot's of overlap, things work mostly fine (we had to sometimes TP to each other because it put is in the wrong zone, but that hasn't happened in a while)
You can heal each other, you can consume each other's ignites, you can give each other items that you find (loot is instanced otherwise), it's pretty top tier.
Enemies scale at 160% health or so, which means as long as everyone is pulling their weight, there's an advantage to playing together. The end-game grind works together, and only one person needs to use a key to open a dungeon (or at least the arena, only thing I've tried so far)

Hello everyone ! I have a question about loot filter. Is that normal that it doesnt work with the implicit stats? I can change the color of an item when the stat is an affix but not when its already on the item.

@wise coyote it's good if your build doesn't use any spells.

@tiny fossil some show up above your action bar, but not all have buff icons.

@digital hound yes that's correct. You can still use Shatter though.

@quiet onyx currently, there's no content difference between single player and multiplayer. And no difference between online and offline - with the exception that the cosmetics currently are online only. But no game play differences.

Does anyone know if the Crowstorm ability for Primalist also turns to Cold damage if you change the damage type of the crows themselves to Cold? Or does the Crowstorm ability stay as Lightning?
