If I'm looking for a specific Boss unique, does anyone know if you can just farm an Empowered Monolith boss fight without needing to restabilize if you just kill boss and port back without talking to the guy at the end to "turn it in"? @stark moon not really. if you rush through regular monoliths you're typically in empowered monoliths in 75-80 and those are area level 100. You do earn XP at up to your level +10 though. So if you're 75 in a 95 area, you're earning XP as if you were in an 85 area. Which is fine is you're not struggling.

@slender island you can do different factions, but you'll get some drops that are listed as requiring a certain faction rank to use them. So that may make it a bit more difficult to share gear between your two characters - if you were interested in doing that.

Loot Filters: Is there a texted based (not video) list of all the loot filter options. There are some options I just do not understand even with testing them with items on the ground. For example: Total affix tiers of |more or equal| than |6| -- does what? What I think it does? @echo sentinel Run the timelines/monoliths, defeat the bosses, decide if you want one of the Blessings. Each monolith boss has two pools of Blessings - one pool for the first choice and a second pool for the other choices - and you can change the Blessing when you defeat the boss. If you want to. You can keep your previous Blessing if you want as well.

@somber spoke Attunement is +2 mana per point and improves skills that scale with Attunement. There's not a stat like Attunement that improves mana efficiency, although you can find some Passives that a can help with that. You can also look for items with increased Mana Regeneration.

@hardy hull Yes. You can click and drag to change the tab order within a category. To change which category a tab is in: Right click on the tab or push the Configure Tab button. Then on the right use the Select Category drop down to change which category the tab is in.

Endgame is progression through timelines. Each timeline requires you to do a series a quests. In order to do quests you need to complete echoes to build up a bar that unlocks the quests. The third quest is a boss and once you defeat them you unlock the next timeline. Lagon is one of these bosses.

@fading venture Depends on the item. If it's a boss only drop, you need to farm that boss. If it's not a boss only drop, you can "target farm" by doing the monolith that has the possibility of having that item type as an echo reward. That will give you a random unique/set item of that item type. Basically extra drop chances.

@stone gate someone said earlier it was disabled due to an exploit. I don't know anymore about it than that.

@mystic helmrush. Also the farther out you go, the more stability you'll earn.

@echo sentinel On Empowered you can just do the boss when the Stability is high enough. You do not need to do the two pre-quests. Although they are there if you really needed to grind down a dangerous echo mod before the boss.

@fading venture That sounds like a random Idol with specific affixes. You can take a Blessing for increased Adorned Idol drops, look for echo rewards that give idols for additional drop chances, etc etc. If you're looking at a build that requires that idol to work, I'd recommend you don't play that build until you have that idol. Unless the guide has some alternatively suggestion for you until you get that Idol.

@sleek cypress Red is Legendary, which is upgraded Unique. So Red > Orange. Purple are Exalted, which means the item has at least one T6-T7 affix. Your build will likely start with yellow rare items, maybe some uniques, then you'll work in Exalteds as you find them, and later the upgraded Uniques into Legendaries.

@tender parcel yeah that's my understanding, you get one of the three each time.

@vivid rapids you need to have the Skill Specialized for it to earn XP. It does not need to be on your Action Bar, though.

@cyan lagoon You'd need to do that boss in Empowered and hopefully get the Empowered version of the Blessing to show up, then select it. Each monolith boss has two "pools" of Blessings - one pool for the first choice and a second pool for the additional choices. It randomly selects some to offer you from that boss's pools.

You can't get boss-specific drops from runes of ascendance.

@dim escarp no, just put an extra point in mage so you don't drop below 20. then just keep moving the points around. it's a bit tedious going back and forth between the respec vendor and your passives, but it works.

@hollow zodiac boss drops are only from that boss. Ascendance only does non-boss-only drops.

@warped carbon I typically get 15/15 passive and 8/8 idol unlocks from the campaign before going into monoliths, which you'll hit in Act 7, but you can do it however you want. The first monolith is area level 58 and I'm usually in there in the mid 40s. This Cycle I did it that way,then went into monoliths until I got a Temporal Sanctum key drop and used that to skip to Act 9 so I could get to the trade factions.

So it's possible you can see one with a lower or higher value roll. Also notes that Empowered Blessings are just straight up better. ah yeah you need to clear a few to reduce down the corruption, generally speaking empowered are final check for your build, if you can't do it then you need to fix your build first

On some bosses there guaranteed uniques which drops only from this one boss. In dungeons it depends on Tier. For example there some rare items which drops only with low chance from Tier 4 Chronomancer Yulia from Temperal Sanctum for example. There some few others which work like this.

While the "Rune of Removal" is better to use on Exalted items thanks to the higher tier and pray that you get the highest one. Did understand you correctly?

Rune of shattering = Gives you shards that you're looking for on items that may have high rolls or low rolls on them but the implicits may not be useful to you for example. You use this on equipment to get more shards that may be relevant to your build, or if you max something out but replace it later with something better, you can get some of your shards back that way.

Rune of Removal = Will randomly remove an affix on the item you're forging. It is random. You cannot select it. You may get lucky and remove the affix you don't want, or you may be unlucky and it will remove an affix you want to keep.

Yes. Although it's more about the tiers of the affixes (press ctrl + alt when looking at an item to see the tiers) than the level or rarity. So I shatter things that have a couple of tier 3 affixes I want, or a rare affix. Removal is rarer, so yes, high tier or exalted mods on items you can't use

Only use rune of removal on the very rare shards like hybrid health or class specific affixes. The others are so plentiful you'll never lack them.

Yep! Definitely worth playing with crafting your items once your gear is all at rare (yellow) or better. Your gameplay will get a lot easier (You can max out your resistances and start leveraging affixes that help your skills and build instead of relying only on RNG)

Those tags are what scale your skills.

If it says "cold" then it scales with cold. If it says physical, then physical. Lots of skills have multiple tags. So there's multiple ways to scale your skills

No, best you can do is to use glyph of chaos to upgrade and randomize a modifier. You can't guarantee you will get something you need. Other options are rune of removal and then craft on the opened affix slot.

Do you have capped cold/lightning/phys resistance? What are you dying to? Do you have good sustain, i.e. leech or regen? If so, try switching sides every time he does his beam, if that's what you're dying to.

Put down a movement skill on your bar, I'm guessing you're a necro? So transplant. Get some physical resistance, it's important. Crafting is your friend. Your minions shouldn't really get oneshot, do you have % minion health in some places on your gear?

The "-3 Mana Spell Cost" on wands seems to refund the mana instead of actually dropping the mana cost. Mechanically, it works the same, but it doesn't let you trigger things such as the Unsealed Mana passive (Runemaster). This is all kinds of sadness.

The affixes are chosen at random from the 4 on the exalted item, not just the t6-t7 mods. So if you have an exalted item with one t6-t7 mod, it's a 25% chance for an 1 LP unique to get that modifier. Hence if you have a 2 LP unique and craft it with a double t6-t7 exalted, it may get 0, 1, or 2 of the t6-t7 mods

I'm also using the lootfilter from the guide for testing purposes. Currently I'm using a bunch of /random useful legs i found with my other char. Do i kind of have to know which affixes/stats on each slot would be most useful on my current state and then keep every item which has 2-3 of these affixes and reroll the others? With the lootfilter I often get shown blue items which would be no upgrade, but they have one affix I could need. So what do I do with these items that have one affix but are otherwise not usable? Just destroy them for crafting materials? Or do I just keep on playing until items drop with multiple affixes I could use and then I start rerolling? Does it make sense that a stage is difficult not because of how difficult it is, but due to the CC? I don't understand what they were thinking when designing that stage. I recommend checking out your skills by hovering over them and looking at their tags. For example if a skill says 'Lightning, Spell, Attunement', then it will be affected by affixes that increase lightning damage and spell damage, and attunement. If a skill says 'minion tags', and something like 'physical', then it will be boosted by increased minion damage, increased minion physical damage, and so on. These damage affixes are especially important on the weapon you are using.

Regarding defensive affixes, you want to keep an eye out for your resists in the character sheet (hotkey C). I recommend regularly checking your crafting panel (hotkey F) to see if you can add or upgrade the resistances on a piece of gear. Increases to health is also always useful. If you are missing shards to craft with, you can use a rune of shattering on an item that has a modifier you want, but the item is otherwise not a useful upgrade. That way you can obtain shards to craft and improve better items. In general, the better an item is before you craft on it (higher tiers of good mods, and more useful mods, as well as a good base), the better it is after crafting on it.

So if you are level 70 but go to a level 60 monolith to carry some level 30s, they can farm experience and you can still clear screens... but if you're level 70 and you're trying to do that in the level 70 monoliths, it won't be as easy, and you can die since like i said, the strenght of activities increases with the number of players in it

Yeah, exactly, it doesn't matter what the sidequests are. You can go to mono's very early on, as soon as you reach end of time. But you will not get the full exp if you are more than 10 levels below it. I'm guessing it can be pretty quick with party play though. But in party the exp gain is different, might be quicker to have someone tp you through campaign and do quests. Haven't tried personally

You only need 75% resistance for a damage type. Late game this becomes increasingly easier to get since you will have access to better bases and higher tiers of affixes. Resistances is your #1 defensive. The defensive value per investment is basically the best. Crit avoidance becomes increasingly important the more difficult content you do, since a crit can result in your character getting almost one shot. Ideally you want 100% crit avoidance or stack some reduced damage taken from crit strikes.
As it becomes easier to cap your resistances, you can start focusing on other stats on your gear (e.g. increases to damage and health). Not every piece of gear will need resistances on it anymore. Blessings can also help you fill out a resist you are lacking in, or provide some great utility (spell leech, resist shred, or just health/damage)

I would say the correlation between resist caps and crit avoid and successful builds is pretty high, but it is not 100%. Some builds use many uniques or otherwise struggle to cap their resists, but the tradeoff they get can be worth it. You can definitely do high endgame content without capped resists and crit avoid, so it's more 'very good in general' rather than 'mandatory'. I don't usually go out of my way to cap every single resist until I am really min maxing a character. I've done emp mono's without crit avoid and without capped resists.

edit: In fact, in LE its much less mandatory with resists than in something like D2 or PoE. There, you take 25% of incoming damage when you have capped (75%) resists. In LE, you take 100% of incoming damage if you have 75% resists (assuming area level >= 75). So if you are, say 25% lower than the cap, in D2 or PoE you would take DOUBLE damage, whereas in LE you would take 125% rather than 100%, so 20% more damage.

LP is dependant on the item itself, some uniques have a way lower chance of dropping with high LP by default, than others. Some of them for example have a 4 LP drop chance of 1 in 4800 items. Other have 1 in maybe 700. The chance cannot be increased with anything, as its a set chance per item. But item quant or prophecy shit can help by making you drop more uniques and therefore having a bigger chance at one being high LP

I'm surprised how smooth it runs for me on Ultra, it used to be worse. I'm playing on a laptop with an i5-11400H, an RTX 3050 and 16GB of RAM. Stability only matters as long as you reach the final boss so you can finish the monolith. Further stability has no impact on rewards. But sometimes its faster to farm a bit more stability on current map than jumping into the next one right away. Also if you want to revisit and reroll the blessing by fighting the boss again, you ll need more stability as you lose stability every time you reroll.

Is there a way to skip corruptions? 100 is too easy, and I just updated to 112, and that's still too easy, but I don't want to grind through again just to get another 10 levels as I feel I need many more to have a challenge again.

Wait, I can "farm" the timeline boss? I thought the progression reset every time I did it. And, yeah, I feel as if I went pretty far this time and only got 12 points--at least, I was encountering a ton of the reset and single path nodes.

Items in Last Epoch function fundamentally different. Base stats are always nearly the same within the given range. What matters are the affixes (pre and suffixes) these are what change the stats of the weapon. You do not get the same weapon with higher stats in it like in D4. You get the same item "archetype" with different pre and suffixes that make up the bulk of the stats, which also makes item crafting more important. Less throwaway gear that way, its all by design.

If you farm the timeline boss you can stack up corruption bonus from the shade, that way you don't reset your timeline every time. They also changed corruption to scale faster than before in 1.0. Also going further out from the center will net you more corruption from a shade kill

Hey guys, how do sealed affixes work regarding rolls and crafting? The 30-10 minute slowmode is killing me so I'll try to be concise here:

1. I looked up some guides, they tend to only give general information on like how to seal them and what it does
2. Some builders such as LEPlanner on maxroll, show that sealed affixes can only roll up to T5 (Shift + scroll doesn't go seem to go past T5)
3. Does that mean that you can only seal Crafted affixes (which max at T5), or that LEPlanner is wrong in that you can seal a T7 rolled affix that happened on the drop?
4. Are sealed affixes still "candidates" for Legendary Potential? (Good if it can be a T7, or terrible if sealed affixes are strictly limited to T5 max)
5. Anything else I should know?

You can only apply glyph of despair to craftable affixes (T1 to T4). Has a decreasing chance to seal instead of upgrade the affix when your craft with it. Sealing anything other than a t1-t2 this way is very rare. I think one of the dungeons can give you items with sealed affixes as well, I don't know the limitations on those. Sealed affixes are ignored when crafting legendary items, only the 4 unsealed affixes are considered.

Question about the rune of ascendance? How they work? I read that you need to have the base item. So i wanted to make the Jasper's Searing Pride and i read that you need the bladed staff as a base. So i bought myself 2 bladed staffs used the rune and both times i got a staff from different base. So question is this. Is it total random to use the base item or it has better chances to get the one that you want if you use the base item
