Offline has no issues, other than lack of social aspects.
So if u dont insist on online, offline is a perfectly good way to go.

Or if social aspects is important, you'll have to wait it out.

@proven grail You can have an offline and an online character, but they will be separate in every way and cannot be merged. Ever. They cannot play with the other modes.

@acoustic thicket as soon as it is fixed.

@queen rampart You go into the skill then there is an option to respec. You can also remove it there.

@fast oar us Obviously most of the people here dont see it the same way you do and while we want to play, we have common courtesy and patience. We all want to play but we dont have to be mean about it in a discord server. Stuff happens but there is so much more to worry about.

Hello, I understand that you really need new players - that's why you are making some updates related to the referral system. But I see that you cannot cope with the number of players you already have. Don't you think that people who buy a game through a referral system will now return it because it doesn't work and NEVER download it AGAIN because it's buggy? Fix the problem with your servers please it's your #1 priority. I've been waiting on the first screen for over 10 minutes and damn it I won't recommend this game to any of my friends because I don't want them to wait 10 minutes for it to load - THIS IS NO FUN. I'm starting to regret that I can't return this game because I've played it too much, and people who are invited by the referral system won't have such a problem, they'll just return the game in the first 15 minutes.

Even while logged in you'd crash and be back in queue or couldn't move at all from rubber banding. Amazon's RPG same shit... billion dollar companies... that literally OWN AWS online services... had server issues all week. And you say it's not normal? this is an Indie dev... that facilitated 150k players and then started having issues because they were not counting on it. The fact that it was pretty playable most the evening was surprising. I'd be surprised if it's flawless by weekend. that'd be abnormal

That's not exactly how I would respond though brother. People are upset that the game they spent their money on has had more down time then up time. Yeah, this whole launch debacle has convinced me that leaving D4 to play this game was a mistake. I'm reinstalling Diablo right now. Time and time again it is proven that only Blizzard is capable of handling a game of this scale and I don't think I'll be stepping outside my comfort zone again seeing as D4 is a 9.5/10 anyway. I took half a day off from the mines last night to play on release, ended up losing track of time in the queue and missed my next shift. I've been let go from a prestigious Coal Drill Bit Wiper's assistant position and now my e-bike is in danger of being repossessed. Having a smoke now to try to calm my nerves, hands are literally shaking. My Grandfather smoked his whole life. I was about 10 years old when my mother said to him, 'If you ever want to see your grandchildren graduate, you have to stop immediately.'. Tears welled up in his eyes when he realized what exactly was at stake. He gave it up immediately. Three years later he died of lung cancer. It was really sad and destroyed me. My mother said to me- 'Don't ever smoke. Please don't put your family through what your Grandfather put us through." I agreed. At 28, I have never touched a cigarette. I must say, I feel a very slight sense of regret for never having done it, because this chat gave me cancer anyway. Thanks EHG.

if you shatter items you get the "affix shards" that you can then use to improve those stats or give those stats to other items in forging

And yeah, attributes like strength attunement etc. imrpove your abilities. If you go to your skills screen and hover over abilities and then hold the button (alt maybe?) you also get more information about what part of the skill exactly scales with the attribute

To the people stuck on "Play Online" button, before character select -- This worked for me:

Step 1. verify game files

Step 2. Launch the game through steam and select "Play fully offline" (NOT the play offline button in game)
Log in, make a character if you have to and enter the game, then log out and exit the game properly (don't alt-F4)

Then relaunch the game again through steam and log in to online.
This worked for me, good luck.

for those stuck on loading screen. u can "leave game" go offline first, then go to online and join and wait a bit.
Also for those that were stuck on Keeper's Guard not triggering the covnersation in early levels, WALK back towards the entrance of the keeper's vault where you saved that stubbon mage, and then he'll just magically show up coming out of the door, walk WITH HIM to the keeper's guard and then it will trigger a cut scene of an enemy attack, that's how it unblocks the story.

Anyone able to tell if the Pandemonium node in Chaos Bolts is even working? It has a chance to increase the AOE of the spell by 160%. Its a rather absurd size increase so it should be noticable but so far I havent seen any of the attacks visually appear larger. Alright guys, I'll try asking here since I couldn't find any other place for my "problem". At the moment the game plays fine, but when I launch it, it takes almost 5 mins to get to the login menu. I noticed through task manager that it spends a couple mins loading up stuff in the ram at a really slow speed, and up to 2GB of ram, the it "resets" and the client starts for real, only for it to charge another 3GB of stuff in the ram. Doesn anyone have the same problem? It's installed on a SSD drive

Consider what's killing you, if you're standing in circles/ground effects you're going to die probably reagrdless of your regen. If you're getting murdered by auto-attacking enemies, then yes more armor would help. Using Rip Blood can help heal you through damage as well. Your best deterrent to death is going to be to kill things as quickly as possible, so use AOE and nukes. Warlock is an incredibly high-performing class so you shouldn't be getting wrecked unless you're doing something terribly wrong.

Why aren't we allowed to take a character between online and offline play? The only reason I'm not playing during the server crisis is because I have plans on grouping up online. I don't see harm in this. Am I missing something? If you say because of cheating I'm not buying it because offline still has the online chat interface so it's not truly offline.

If it was offline you can edit it, somehow in the future. Online the server keeps in check ideally.

im a little confused by scaling and tags....for example my minions have their own poison damage modifier separate from mine, but poison all stacks one and the same, do both these values get scaled or if my minions inflict the poison is it only theirs modifier that is used?

Hello guys, i don't understand the shattering. Let's say i have an unique item (orange), one of the line in white is the legendary effect and i want to keep it. I have to use the orange rune to shatter it ? Because if i'm right it is only a probabilty to get this line or another as a shard, right ? I can't choose an effect to save or smthing like in diablo with the cube ?

I have a question: if my pet puts a bleeding on the target, and I also put a bleeding on the target (puncture + falcon), will the bleeding damage depends on my stats or do I need to look for minion damage or minion dot damage? I'm asking because there's only one bleeding icon on the target and I can't figure out whose stats apply to this damage.
