We’ve scale tested for months with third parties, consultants, the help of infra providers, and our own backend team. We have the ability to scale servers quickly, have reserved a large amount of bare metal machines, and do not have a maximum spend for cloud overflow- it’s all elastic. Except when you know you're grains will increase the ability to expand the pipe is there. I just found it actually. You don't need to be in the cycle to join either of the factions, you can be an offline character. They just added an extra zone in between the Upper District & The Oasis, I just didn't notice that the original Oasis door/transition had been replaced.

normally down time is re-solved like within 20 min lol. D4 had millions and they fixed it really fast. same with GGG on big patch days.

taking 1 hour and 30 min + to fix match making is kind of like a 2010 thing. Even old school WoW expansion releases didnt have server downtimes this long due to overload. Most likely they need to recode the login to have some sort of stop-put.

SSF (Solo self found) is just a mode you select at chara creation. This means you can only use items your character drops/finds/crafts. No other source (multiplayer, account stash) can give you items.
I don't think theres any way to switch from ssf to normal once its selected.

CoF is just a faction you can select later on in story which has its own benefits to item rates.
You should be able to use cof on a ssf chara, but im not 100% sure on this.

Eh, there is large difference here with the amount of resources and funds available to each company, technologies committed to and used, expectations of high availability, etc. My own personal guess is that the way areas are instanced created a bottleneck with so many people requesting the same 2-3 zones at one time. Either way, they are working fast on a fix and stability will be restored ASAP.

100% its not a big deal anyway. not flaming or anything iam jsut saying if people are expecting a QUICK fix. most likely wont happen. Devs are learning. Not being able to play on launch is not the end of the world. :).

So I have a work around to the LMB issue. If you assign the Space key to move/interact, and assign LMB to ability 4, you can move around easily and even move the camera by simply moving the mouse. AND you can use the LMB to attack.
