How is it to play with friends of different levels?
Say I play on launch with my GF, and she stops at level 8 (or whatever), and I continue 5-10-15 more levels. Can we still play together when she comes back or will the level gap ruin that somehow?

Hey guys, could someone explain how speed leveling works in Last Epoch?
I understand that you can start accessing monoliths at level 20, once you've chosen your mastery, and then you can simply complete a dungeon to skip the campaign content. But I'm curious, do you still receive skill points and unlockables while doing this?

the dungeon skips just put you in a different part of the campaign, so you will miss some waypoints...but you can move on with the campaign fine afterwards

Sorry to hear that, in that case I really hope it gets fixed soon. Ctrl might still work for you though, I'm not pressing it with a finger, when I have my fingers on 1 2 3, the base of my pinky (still the hand part) rests on CTRL, so I just have to slightly roll my hand on it.

Yes if you remove 1 point from a skill that isn’t a skill point from an item, you’ll have to level it back up. This becomes easier the higher level you are. I can level a skill 1-20 in a mono or two at high corruption

you will get levels back from gaining more xp, but not immediately. though also
a) you have a minimum skill level based on your character level, so skills will start at a higher level than 1
b) skills that are below the level they "should be" (again based on your character level) gain xp at an accelerated rate

the net result is that swapping skill specialisations is a bit annoying but not that bad early game, and almost trivial later in the game (which probably should be the other way around but that's what it is right now)

merophage gets stats equal to the shards you got from shattering, which is total RNG but capped by the tier of the affixes on the sword you shatter

so you should level up the affixes because it matters a lot. it's just not guaranteed to work

Errr, Howling Rift actually isn't that good? I thought you could carry the same perpetual wall. But I guess it's really only used to jump your wall if you need to jump it forward quickly, at half the cost.

I dunno how new you are. When you compare, you can hold some keys (ctrl+alt, just alt?) to see the tiers. Exalted (purple) items have an affix which is tier 6 or above
