No it doesn't but you can get Ward per Healing Effectiveness I believe in HH tree

We need immediate action on null portent! 
Shadow Beacon is kind of a weird item. Its a cool concept but just doesnt really feel like it works with the main unique thing (devouring orb). Speccing it for void eruption seems like the natural path but all the duration is reduced so much that you might as well just cast it right on the enemy and not even bother hoovering the orbs via ES. Speccing it for abyssal orbs or normal rifts doesnt really seem to benefit from moving them to the enemy, as they're ranged anyway.
I guess the best way would be to boost duration orbs, suck them all to an enemy with ES, then use abyssal echos with the node that can cast rifts from orbs
Yes this, also abyssal orbs works so you can move them along for clearing, them being ranged mainly means you just don't need to move them for boss fights
Would Sentinel be the best class for me to play if I wanted to ease my way into empowered? Been having crazy issues with making my werebear work but wanted to take a break and try other classes

hello i finally unlocked empowered monoliths and now I'm struggling.
I have a 84 rive void knight. I probably need to get better blessings (i only did only one boss clear for each monolith) and equipment, especially armor and weapons. resistances are overcapped at least.
Do i go back to curbstomp normal 90 monoliths to get better blessings and hoping for a lucky drops, or keep running empowered ones, while taking forever, dieing a lot and unable to do the stabilization events?
Or should i go do some arena? For dungeons i have no worthwhile equipment to slam together and in money i just have 1M.
What weapon/armor piece could help me if i do some ascend attempts?

Alright there is a lot to say
- You dont have life on your Gear, 1.6k hp is nowhere good enough. Change some of your unique for Exalted with %Hp or Vitality
- Vitality gives you a lot of benefits > Hp, Flat Dmg for Rive, %More Melee Dmg since you are a VK
- You need Endurance and some Crit Mitigation, you also have too much resist. You can start Empowered with like 50%, thats good enough for a while
- Dmg wise you need some Flat Crit on your Weapons

uu smart, using healing hands as traversal to get rid of the shield rush and further enhance the damage with sigils... why i did not thought of that

With weapons atm it's GRIM. It' has been several hours I'm trying to switch to a 2H weapons but no luck. I also tried to do a seal on both weapons and both time it just upgraded.
What stats should I prioritize on weapons? flat crit percentage and void damage points or void percentage? or just go for crit percentage and crit multiplier?
For Weapon imo by order of importance
Flat Crit > AS > %Dmg/Crit Multi
Dont bother with your Amulet, the base is doing anything for you
You should look for either an Oracle/Astrology or a Bone Amulet or Gold

the void kight crushed both mahjasa, lagon (campaign and timeline) and the first harbringer. I also did not even know the harbringer appeared after last boss fight in normal monolith, i panicked a bit but then i discovered it was easier than the elder husk. Only now in empowered I'm getting my ass whooped

i was the last ruin, husk of elder Gaspar. The husk was nerve wracking because one wrong position or move and I could get clipped. i was so happy to have beaten him at second attempt and then I got the female harbringer photobomb. Fortunately i could easily tank and leech anything she could do, so it was only a matter of patience

If only clearing echo in the monolith, it performs well above 1k1 corruption, as I tried PT with a friend and ran for quite a while. Fighting boss timelines slowly is a problem(660c), and my health is quite low to withstand some skills

Rogue probably uses it more than anyone since they don't build int/att it makes it easier for them to balance. I used it on Reign of Winter back in the day, not sure if that build is still used much, and maybe usable on lightning chakram or some other rogue lightning build?

no, mana cost =/= channel cost =/= mana consumed
for example, crushing blows only looks at the mana cost of 1 on warpath and not the 18 mana cost per second
it will not care about the mana consumed on time loop
it will care about anything that raises or lowers your mana cost

A lot of skills have ways to raise your mana cost, but your not gonna just get a huge more dmg multiplier for basically free

Shield rush also, if you can stand to use it
and there's a few in the other classes, too, I'm just assuming sentinel stuff
Shield Rush I can only recommend if you are playing offline

With the suggested passive respec and some craft I've managed to stabilize my rive knight survivability without destroying my dps. Next step is getting more upgrades. I have some spare ascendance runes, which piece of equipment can gamble? Armor to get titan heart? Any armor type as base will do? Or there are useful weapons that are not drop only?
For Weapons you will most likely want a Apathy Maw that can only drop from Orobyss Shades
For Titan Heart that's a good idea once you swap to 2h and not DW. Any body armor will do
damn i forgot that the titan heart is DW specific. And for now i can barely handle base corruption, forget fighting the shades to increase corruption and make things even more difficult.
I'm checking other legendaries in other slots but all the interesting ones seem drop only. I guess it's back to the map to hunt for good exalts

Speaking of which, it's frustrating. I had two pairs of exalted boots with +30ms and 16 vit, and I slammed them into my 2lp darkstride boots with perfect rolls. In the end, I just ended up with two pairs of boots legendary with +30ms😭

i know and i have the basic unique one, but i lose too much armor and vitality

ring of shields ain't exactly good for it, sigils of hope does very little for the investment needed and I dislike volatile reversal on principle
picked up healing hands and went full-on just the healing parts, turns out that's a LOT of healing even at 0 attunement, 0 healing effectiveness

you can also turn it into a melee attack with the bottom right node
see every time I saw anything about HH it was just for the melee or for the cast-on-smite parts, it's not really useful at all for this character because it's entirely specced around throwing damage

If I want to do the mage route but as a paladin, is specializing in fire damage pretty much the only viable thing? Cuz I see sigils of hope can either boost fire or void damage, but not lightning

But looks like other than those two skills, there's not much to go off of for a lightning build which makes the dark souls nerd in me sad lol
You can do fire, lightning, or void. For lightning, pretty much all your damage is smite (and maybe jav) because it's the only lightning spell. Since lightning is a side element for sentinel, most of its support is in items - see the Devotion amulet, Tu'Rani's spear, Aurelis 1h sword, and Stormcarved Testament relic for the most notable lightning uniques.
I remember the electrify spear being fun
I've run Tu'rani's both crit and DOT and it looks super cool, basically just tossing spears in the air and raining holy lightning on stuff. I think you can do self-cast smite with devotion and probably mad ladle, but I've never done it
Tho no healing hands on throwing attack is a little sad
Yeh, actually needing leech and/or standing next to the enemies where your smites are popping off for recovery is not always ideal, but it wasn't too bad

Actually i saw we have mana cost and channel cost what is the difference between this both ? Actually i was especting i could use this spell for 57 second with 57 mana but its actually not
Mana cost is when you start it
Channel cost is while spinning
Warpath should be listing both
So if i understand well for warpath with 57 mana and a channel cost of 16 and mana cost of 1 i should normaly be able to use this spell for 57-16 = 41 seconde but its actually not that
So with 57 max mana
you consume 1 mana to start spinning
You have a channel cost of 18 mana per second
So for the first second it’s 57 - 1 - 18 + 8 =46 current mana
+8 is from your base mana regen
So it’s -10 mana per second
You -1 mana cost to start and maintain it with xx channeling cost
So with 57 max mana you can spin for 5-ish seconds

both works for pally but 1h with a shield have a few good nodes from pally passives

For Paly Warpath you want a Sceptre and a Sword and deal dmg with Fire Smite

- pally has spell + shield support
- shields help you not die a lot

- easy leech
- echos
- vitality stacking (flat dmg + max health)
- warpath can trigger multiple spells
- also wants vortex charm + two idols
- next patch will add dorbs to this spell list
cleave spin
- more a for fun build
- void cleave is a big crit in this
- can actually use warriors fury since you only spin for 3 seconds
- I tried this on forge guard with fire void cleave
and a bunch more, these are just the 3 I’ve done recently

Dude, smite warpath has 13+ hits per second, and it doubles axe throw from vortex, fire pen from cyclone of war, spell damage, casts smite, doubles movement speed. It is the most busted shrine

Oh, smite, yeah definitely nearly all variations of proccing smite have been played. Orbiting hammers is or has been popular, they call it "hammerdin" and it can be a smite build.

I think you only need high tier -mana for devotion variants which wouldn't be void, but it has been a while since I've done one
I did void aura hammers with that node that turns the orbits/chains/other things into other stats

Even the anomaly future strike nodes dont work on the passive tree future strike node
theres 3 nodes in the game that are the entire support for future strike
- passive tree, 10 points for 100% chance on hit
- anomaly node that makes anomaly inflict one stack of future strike
- the next node that give sup to 400% void pen for future strike that is inflicted by anomaly
anomaly's reset dot timer thing also does nothing for future strike expect make it take longer for it to do any damage
I still want something for time rot called military time -> can stack it 24 times

I had a dream of wielding dual swords when creating my first sentinel character, but life's twists and turns forced him to wield a two-handed weapon instead
I started playing in mid-July this year, when everyone had already received gifts from the developers
give vk an upgrade to gladiator that lets him use two axes

In terms of another minion class, beastmaster is generally better and has more options than forge guard. In April, forge guard (and sentinel in general) should be getting some tweaks and we'll see how it goes.

It’s ok to be at less hp when entering monos (as the first mono is easier that the last bit of the campaign) and use that to get some better gear
The fastest way to boost your health would be body armor + helmet with vitality/flat health/%increased health
With one of those being exalted (T6 or T7 affixes, drop only)

Warpath has a node Apocalypse Whirl which converts its base damage from physical to void. It says it scales with increases to void dmg but not increases to phys dmg. So does that mean with that node, my physical damage on gear is ignored when using warpath and I only deal damage based on void damage? And if so is it worth it to take the node? I wanted a void warpath build basically
So converting means the implicit damage from your weapon is now void (the number at the top that just says like +40 melee dmg)
A weapon with increased physical damage on it will not effect this damage because now it’s void damage
If you have like +20 melee physical damage (affix) on a weapon then that would still be physical damage so your warpath would do both physical and void damage
If your a void knight 100% take it as it makes it a void warpath
So if I understand it correctly. Let’s say an axe has implicit +23 Melee Damage. That’s now void right? And then I’m looking for suffixes that increase void damage.

You can also run it as ignite or bleed. imo bleed is the best option in general for pally warpath.
Oh for sure, but it hasn't procced on anything but bosses for me since the skeleton event ended.
For comparison, after applying all skill mods:
- Smite scales at 14.25 per point of spell damage
- Flam Burst scales at 10.5 per point of spell damage
- Smite is triggered 6.6 times per second
- Flame Burst is triggered 0.36 times per second

Sentinel Passive trees are quite old and there are a few traps to avoid aswell as some nodes that are super strong
You should be able to fix Warpath mana cost by itself

- You create a rift where you start from and where you end up. The rift is a spell that hit.
- The hit from the rift now apply a stacking debuff that makes mobs take 30% More Dmg. So if you tp on the spot and hit a mob with both rift thats 60% More Dmg
- You deal 4% More Dmg per stack of Time Rot (max 12) on the enemy. Thats 48% More Dmg. 1.60 x 1.48 = 2.368
would you say I should go for Anomaly or Sigils in place of Void Cleave?

i would try it but i dont wanna spend all my gold on 2lp and exalted just to slam and then it end up being worse

i specced pala for the 100% phys dmg mastery bonus and holy aura
but paladin tree is quite shit for the build
pure phys is weirdly bad on sentinel
if your not looking to bleed
not getting to your mastery's %increased health hurts tho
I've shifted passive points around to see what needed to be moved to get to reverence in paladin. It basically was drop a lot of points from void knight and cover leech with a melee dmg leeched glove mod (T5 gives more than the 5 points in world eater gave)

they had leech from the VK tree so I assumed they wanted it



I do think a pure phys vk would do this better

If I do go fully out of leech is it worth replacing siphon? And if so would I replace with an exalted or different unique

Well my paladins lvl 98 and I don't have a vk so it'll have to do for now lol
I assume echos share ur crit chance and multi, they aren't like minions

they share all your stats, however they don't crit if you crit, they have their own crit roll
also stuff like void cleave making your next erasing strike a crit doesn't apply to them

the main advantage to pure phys is that its less restrictive on items so you can do mixed builds
Pure physical sucks ass but I've always wanted to do it

but is it worth a prefix on helmet + body armor
well armor is significantly stronger for phys, but that is hits which is not poison
