you can add specific base types to the filter.
That doesnt stop the implicits from triggering affix filters and flat armor doesnt show up twice if I up the count requirement by one
the only tool available is to remove certain base types from the pool so they can't trigger it. Or force the filter to only show the specific bases you do want to see.
Is there a way to return to the beginning of the story if we skipped it with party teleports early on?
If you skipped out before you got to the first waypoint, you can have a friend make a new character and then portal to them right at the start of the game and then go from there.

So I'm starting monoliths and there's a node that says they drop "tomes of experience" but when I try and look up what those tomes do exactly there's nothing in the ingame guide
you walk over them and you get some xp

Yea, it's just a big normal xp bump like if you had killed a bunch of enemies. It scales with level.
If I have Maehlin's Hubris (convert bleed to ignite) does the "Entry Points" node (shurikens hits deal more damage per stack of bleed or poison on the target up to a maximum) on Shurikens only have a chance to proc on poison? Or does it convert that to look at ignite stacks?
they would only count actual bleed and poison

Do DoT Skills ever apply to "on hit" effects?
If a skill has no hit component, it will not apply on hit effects. Some skills have some "conversion", like Aura of Decay which applies 25% of you chance to poison on hit to its chance to poison on tick

So I built my first Bow toon. I noticed that Puncture goes through most environmental objects, but a lot of other abilities are LOS. Is this intended?
Because it makes Puncture better than them, generally speaking.

Hit vs DOT is like spell vs attack, it's just entirely dependent on the skill design and some skills may have parts that deal one type and other parts that deal the other. A good example of this is Judgement, which deals a melee attack hit and then creates a spell DOT effect.
It's just moving so fast that it sometimes doesn't trigger the collision. It's not really intended but it's a bug in the player's favor so we aren't in a rush to fix it.
At least the first version will be online only.

and does 'removing normal skeletal mages from the pool' mean that only pyromancers will be summoned? And by that logic, a pyromancer archmage?
Pretty sure they're still considered a mage. And I believe the answer for the latter part is also yes.

For rogue, if flurry has a melee tag, and you equip a bow, does melee attack speed benefit flurry attack with a bow?
Flurry is both a bow attack and a melee attack, it depends on what weapon you use and is affected by the respective tags for the weapon type you choose
Does the brand of arganus add the spell damage to other skills I use while having stacks of firebrand?
Interesting, so the text says "each stack grants +5 melee fire damage", this +5 only adds to the base damage of firebrand itself?

Does the cooldown recovery speed affix/implicit on equipment like belt, boots affect the cooldown of affix from item or idol? E.g. "You gain a stack of Ambition when you hit a boss or rare enemy (1 second cooldown)", +X% Chance to cast Fire Aura when Hit (1 second cooldown), etc.

If I take Sapping Strikes, will I regain health and mana on the second (and third if I take Twilight Assault) hits of Umbral Blades, or do all the hits count as a skill that costs mana?

You should regain on the recall of the blades, but I believe throwing them costs mana.
Only the first throw costs mana

So balance question. Turquoise Rings/Necklaces, the best bases for good summoner jewelry, have absolutely TERRIBLE implicit ranges. Rings have 3 different implicits with EACH ONE having 5-35 range, and necklaces have 2 with the same range. Is this some kind of balance against how good Necromancers are?
Does LE purchase assets from outside sources? I have concerns that the raptor model used ingame is actually the feathered raptor model made for Primal Carnage, if not a very close copy.
Most necros use uniques in these slots I believe, but yeah necro is very strong

Yes, of course they have purchased assets. That is the most efficient way to get a game going when you start from a really small team. No clue about that other game. Nowadays I think they make all custom assets and are still replacing the old (see the recent visual updates with 0.9 for example).

I realised that my first question was a very stupid question, not my best moment. At the end of the day I'm just here to enjoy Last Epoch, I just wanted to bring up a concern is all. If they're making custom assets to replace older ones then its not a huge deal.
why lagon has such a bad hitbox some skills can hit him ?
If i remember it right they said it's got to do with how he's coded and they have to fix the hitting issue separately on all skills

I don’t know if it is a bug, so I didn’t want to report it. Could be a design decision. Should have chosen my words more carefully, as obviously using the word bug was an easy scape goat. That was my mistake.
General rule of thumb is if you have to ask 'is this a bug?' then it probably is.
As shadows have a settings option, them not showing up in game is probably a bug! It's not one I've heard of before though, so please do report it on our Forums!

Hello All. First character doing monolith. From outcast i went to lvl 66 alm the way to winter and last ruin. I want to go back to lvl 62 to finish all monolith to reach empowered. But i get this

Not familiar enough with Monoliths, or the LE-64 error, but this might help!
From our Dev Team : Our team is aware of this issue and working on a fix for this. You can empower monoliths either by immediately going to the monolith stone between the three islands after finishing the last of the three monoliths; Or, by completing one echo within The Last Ruin, then teleporting back to the monolith hub without going to town and going to the monolith stone between the three islands. A cutscene should play when approaching the monolith stone between the three islands when it is ready. Click on the blue stone after the cutscene plays to enable Empowered Monoliths.
Reloading may also help!

in online mode, its currently a bug but I realized it would be pretty awesome as a feature.
going to depend on the wording of the skill node you are talking about, but, most nodes explicitly say they only convert base damage of a skill or what they do convert, which would not included more flat on a weapon.

Hello! I wanted to write a small script that allows me to synchronize loot filter rules between multiple filters (basically global filter rules). Would something like this be considered against the spirit of the game/ToS?
I always take a cautious stance when getting asked questions like this. If you're using a script to control your game while playing online, that is a ToS violation. If you are using it to manipulate offline text files saved locally on your computer, that's fine.
Can't you just make a base filter which your others build upon? And then just manually enable/disable the rules?
question for mike, did the drop chance of plague bearer staff change for 0.9? i'm dropping very very few of them compared to other very rare staves like omnividence and aergons, i dropped more in 0.8.5

Mike, I just want to say how happy i am with EHG's philosophy to just let rng be rng. You (collective) seem really consistent about not having secret weightings and entropy and other anti-rng mechanics.

I like to say that every skill is always on the rework list. So the important question is how high up on that list is it. Pretty medium, which on a list with over a hundred things on it means it will be a while before it's even looked at.
The tornado poison spewing Nygasas are also quite gnarly.

I recently learned that items of lower rarity drop with less crafting potential, so with that in mind I can't find any reason to not just filter out all white/blue items. Is there any reason they still exist, considering how frequently rares drop?
If everything that drops is good, there’s no thrill in getting good drops. Otherwise it’s just math and RNG.

My point is that I don't even see them drop since there is a built in loot filter. it's as if they're not there

you can filter by affix, i have mine so it still shows items with +levels affixes for shattering and regular rares don't even show up on my filter anymore only exalted items
thats why blue items are still valuable
But showing blues that have > or = T4 is nice for shattering early on.
Otherwise crafting a blue item is a bit desperate.
Some affixes are indeed very rare and can make you pick up a blue item. And you can always try to gamble on a blue item with discovery rune.

The game checks your ping to the various available server regions and picks the one that is the lowest.
So my ping to asian servers is about 250, and my ping to eu servers must somehow be higher than that

Though I should specify that titans can be wildly different from each other and is closer to being a term for any gigantic creature that existed in the ancient era and has since gone dormant. Hence why the mountain beneath is more like a rock and plant creature and the titan hollow titan is more fleshy.

Yes, the MTX shop will be very strictly cosmetic only.
The primary eta of each timeline is when most of the echoes will be set but not all as they are unstable and blend together a bit.

I'm sorry, I can't help with troubleshooting in this channel. You might be able to get some assistance from a friend online who could go to the next waypoint and you could portal to them.
You don't have to complete that quest, just head to the west of the map, go to next zone, and then run west until you hit a gate, that'll trigger the next quest point (ive literally never done the quest that bugged for you for 3 years or so)
Do you guys have a plan to give the unique/set items special looks. Question kinda tied to the appearance panel, since it feels a lil bit bad to equip, e.g. Dark Shroud of Cinders but still looking like a generic primalist vest.

who teleported you? Just leave the map and continue on, that quest isnt needed for anything

You can do that but then you can't select the item to equip by pressing y you have to manually move it from inventory to equip
Heya Mike We noticed a problem with a swipe node called "wild calling", Ghosts Wolf appears from Wolf .
The problem is this skills have minion tag but don't scale with minion damage and only flat mêlée from main. This is intended please ?

Swipe is entirely based on your stats
only that node will trigger a minion scaled attack from every wolf
If it really does scale with your damage and not minion damage, it's a bug.

does tethered existence increase the damage the poisons from spectral putrescence do?
Are some blessings rarer than others or is there a known bug? I have completed 252 echoes and completed "Ending the storm" 17 times. I have not discovered 3 blessings
3 from the 13 available blessings not discovered seems like its not supposed to happen
On top of that, I seem to get specific blessings A LOT more than others. Health regen, stun chance and freeze rate multi are always there

This sounds like RNG being RNG. They aren't all consistent chances. The first slot is one of 3 and the rest are even in the rest. If we start seeing #555817861529075713 of the same blessings not showing up for people, we can look into it.

Just wanted to check how less damage multiplier work. Im using anvil stance on forge guard, and it gives me -25% increased damage on everything in my character spreadsheet but also cuts all increases by 25%, so for example from sigils instead of getting 40% i get 30%, isnt it a bit weird cause logically only one of those thing should occur not both
The "less" multiplier works exactly the same as "more". It is just a straight multiplier to your total/final damage.

All global more/less multipliers affect those numbers on your character sheet - there just aren't many sources of global more/less damage. It doesn't apply 25% reduced damage, it effectively multiplies the values on that sheet by 0.75 (which will turn any 0% increased stats to -25%).
for Forged Weapon if you have a weapon with minion damage % will they receive the bonus from me and then have it double dip and reapply to themselves?
No, when they get the minion damage affix from the weapon, it'll only apply to their minions (which does nothing since forged weapons don't summon minions)
I deleted one stash tab category, and now my other category with over 20 tabs is completely missing. Any known fix for this?

hey i have a question shouldn't this be ignite instead of spreading flames cause soulfire and the fire skull node both convert possess to ignite, actually the only way for acolyte to inflict spreading flames is with firestarter's torch or cinder song
I'd like to know what the design philosophy behind the Shaman is. I generally like the fact, that I can build towards 3 different elements (counting phys as an "element"), but I can't help but feel that there are always shortcomings when focusing on one specific element. I tried to go for a lightning Sham build (both melee and spell), but it's always something that keeps me from doing so. Either the missing attack speed scaling for Tempest Strike or the 3 sec cooldown on the lightning strikes in it's passive trees. Also: There's barely any +lightning damage in the tree when compared to other classes but an insane amount of +raw damage. Is the sham supposed to be this hybrid of a spell caster with totems flinging everywhere? I feel like it's not really viable in end game

Does the Sentinels Blademaster node apply to Hammer throw? I read it like it should be global attack speed.
Nevermind, I just had a UI bug apparently where the attack speed didn't update after I put the point into it in an echo.
It does work and now the throwing attack speed stat also updates in the character sheet.

We aren't able to say what will be in a hotfix or when they will be out unfortunately, as sometimes a fix the team want to include might not make it through testing in time.

Out of curiosity, have you guys considered implementing crit tiers (i.e. if crit chance is > 100%, the rollover applies as crit chance for doubling crit damage again)? And what the argument for/against were (if you guys considered it) -- I'm curious from a design stand-point.

(Assuming you mean LE Legendary) Legendary Items don't change appearance when you make them and we don't have plans to give them a visual change compared to their Unique Item component.
(Assuming you mean D4 Legendary) We will continue to create 3D models that match the 2D art as we have been doing. We plan to have the rest of the main hand and off hand items displaying representative models at launch.
Yes, we aren't doing it. It's the same thing as the stat crit multiplier which we already have.

Is there any plan to add generic stat boost or skill effectiveness boost to skill specializations for dumping the skill point you cant find a use for? To be clear, sometimes when youre planning a build, some skills have less than 20 skill point slots that are meaningful for your build.
We toyed around with a generic dumpstat node like this, it really just highlighted trees that were problematic rather than make interesting gameplay. We do have some plans in this general design space ish that I can't really talk about yet because it's still just an idea.

Lightning blast has a passive that says "base critical strike chance +X%", while elemental nova has a passive that is worded differently, "Critical chance +X%", I assume they're both the same and add base crit?

when in monoliths, is the objective "kill enemies to locate x" based on killing number of enemies or the amount of exp gained? because sometimes with only "big" enemies around its very slow to locate the objective
it's not tied to xp because that would mean different characters would unlock it at a different rate based on what level they were.
How does bone curse work with added spell damage? Is it 100% for hit by others or 100% for hit by you?

Given that a unique item is in the process of dropping, it has an equal chance to have LP at 0 Corruption and 9999999999 Corruption. However, you will find way more unique items at higher corruption so you'll have more rolls and will find more LP uniques. You'll also find more non-LP uniques.
The only thing that affects the LP of a unique item that is in the process of dropping, is zone level.

I don't think the vale spirit has a health bar. I'm pretty sure that one is considered a subskill.
Totems are the same as minions, they use their own abilities.
Oh cool! Altough it seems that the Vale Spirit Spirit Thorn doesn't get converted with Ice Branch at least if you press Alt and check the tags
sub skill tooltips don't change based on tree state, you would need to test it.

Bone Curse has a 20% added damage effectiveness. Any damage that it does is tripled if you are the one proccing it. the proc does count as a hit but can't apply ailments (because it is an ailment itself).

Hello Mike, I'm curious about EHG's philosophy regarding implicit mods on weapons, specifically regarding the distinction between 1H and 2H weapons. I've noticed that 1H weapons tend to get global implicits (e.g. global flat crit chance on most daggers/eagle wing, global crit multi on katanas) whereas 2H weapons tend to get implicits restricted to melee only (flat crit on spears is melee-only, for example). It feels a little counterintuitive, since equipping a 2H weapon is more restrictive, plus the potential power of stacking these global bonuses with dual-wielding. Of course, this is just a small part of the relative balancing between 1H and 2H weapons--what are your thoughts on this?

The answer relates to specific uniques that require 100 or 200 corruption like apathy's maw
Are we going to get an ability to abandon quests??, i have my side quest bar full with stuff that i would love to abandon, as i already reached max passive and idol space
Will there be another look into minion AI? Any time a monster that is near max range and the summoner uses a traversal thafs like half the screen, the minions go wonky and pretty much "skate" to follow the summoner. If the minions have too much movement speed like haste they "skate" and glide/circle around the summoner and takes 3-8 seconds for them to start fighting. Using a to command them to attack after positioning after leashing does not fix it.
I don't know if its a bug or a feature but seems like a weird penalty to minion AI when you move too fast and they reposition on the leash.

It's not rounded. Usually this isn't a big deal, though in tiny roll range situations it does become very difficult to compare items.

Rotmind grants "+# Poison Damage for Damage over time Spells." Hungering Souls has a hit component, and a DOT tag.
Hungering Souls says, "Added spell damage applies to the initial hit at 45% effectiveness, and to possess at 75% effectiveness over its duration."
Does Rotmind cause Hungering Spirits to deal Hit-based Poison Damage, such that it could crit?

really really hoping theyll add proper support for throwing damage for characters other than paladin, other than fulgurite, there is absolutely no weapon to scale for shuriken on rogue and it is just designated to being either an escape, or free armour buff and thats all its used for. there also should defnitely be dagger types that scale throwing

Chill and slow are 2 different debuffs, so that is an incorrect assumption. Not sure about the first part of your post

That conversion node only converts chill chance granted by the other nodes on the Maelstrom tree. It won't convert chill chance from your weapon

Question for the devs cause I can't find info on it and testing it is a bit hard in my setup -> do on kill effects trigger from DoTs (originating from you?)
my use case for this is a Frostbite stacking Cold Spriggan Form druid, trying to get extra Maelstrom triggers via gathering storm.... and it seems like I'm getting less stacks than when I was a pure spell damage build instead of DoT focussed, but its really hard to tell

Currently going through the issue of Leveled a shaman and now want to try beastmaster but would need to start a full new character and level the whole way through the story again. poisons are based of characters stats (damage over time, attribute scaling of the skill applying them, poison damage) and the % more damage you get from skill tree
so yes, poisons from different skills deal different damage
so it makes sense that Aura of Decay has damage scaling on int then 🙂
if you for example take this or the other then poisons applied by hungering souls will deal more damage
the only exception is when it says "more damage on HIT" then it wont make poisons deal more damage @vapid radish

Started noticing this after like 3-4 saves deleted, when one of my higher leveled ones disappeared. I thought the issue is fixed, or idk if this is a new issue but I literally made a new save less than an hour ago and another one of my older saves disappeared.

Like i assume that obviously the higher the increase in rarity % the more "rare" the item can be or will be but is there like some math to it or is it still just RNG?

It pretty much increases the chance that an item would roll as higher rarity. So for example, rare rather than magic or exalted rather than rare. So you end up finding more unique items.

Yes but it's optional. All content that comes with the cycle will roll out everywhere. The reset is entirely for economy and leaderboards, you don't have to participate in it to play new stuff if you don't want to.

Is there a reason that there are no scaling nodes in 'Focus' or 'Mana Strike' to increase mana gained based on your maximum mana? It feels so bad and barely tickles your regen when you get past 300 max mana..
Null Profusion in Focus does that.
And Mana Strike can give up to 43.2 on non-crits or 70 on crits, which is an aweful lot compared to ~10 from Time & Faith for a Sentinel

What's the design goal of having a Mana Cost of 1 for activating Death Seal, while also having nodes in Acolyte's Transplant (for example) that give more damage while you are out of mana? It feels clunky to be negative mana and not be able to active my Death Seal. I'm hoping there's a goal with having this 1 mana cost instead of 0.

when past, that content will remain as a "gamemode". Like "I want to start a new character and have a "Cycle 3 experience/world/mechanics" but the current cycle is 7". could previous leagues stack as a selectable gamemode?

All the 1 mana cost skills are usually just to make them force needing some mana. That combo does sound frustrating though.

We currently plan to only maintain 1 game version and don't intend the discontinue content. At least initially that is. After a few major post-1.0 releases, we might revisit that but at least initially, all the big content will be rolled in.

Each one is a case by case basis. I know some things like channelled abilities like warpath it's too avoid constant start/stop.

The whole point of cycles is to have the ladder. We can't do offline ladder because everyone would just cheat. We also aren't making a LAN mode.
Is there any concern about the impact offline having new content at the same time online will have on new pinnacle bosses, secret unique stuff, and similiar types of additions that have some reliance on mystery (looking at things similar to fractured crown if that type of idea for a unique comes back, assuming it will, its cool. Becuase being able to use offline to figure stuff out gives players a lot more options in testing stuff very quickly)?
And further on to that, does the plan to have offline get stuff at the same time as online, have any impact on how much will be officially allowed regarding mods/editing for offline (for the reasons above)?
Realistically if you ever run an official event for killing a brand new pinnacle boss we've never seen before, anyone trying to win it will be using offline to test at some point before actually going into it, most likely right away, so they know what build to use
Will there be another look into minion AI? Any time a monster that is near max range and the summoner uses a traversal that's like half the screen, the minions go wonky and pretty much "skate" to follow the summoner. If the minions have too much movement speed like haste they "skate" and glide/circle around the summoner and takes 3-8 seconds for them to start fighting. Using a to command them to attack after positioning after leashing does not fix it.
What was the idea behind having the hastily advance node under Warcry give only 1 second haste duration? Even with energized charge it adds up to only 2.5 seconds of haste+frenzy, which you can't really sustain with shallow breath (-50% cooldown to Warcry) to my knowledge.
Question for the Dev's. Why is there no way to effectively power level or respec mastery? Currently going through the issue of Leveled a shaman and now want to try beastmaster but would need to start a full new character and level the whole way through the story again. Feel like there should be a power level option with friends to play with them quicker and try more classes.

For the lightning cast from Crackling Assault during Werebear's Rampage: if there's only one valid target during the run, would (if enough points were specced in) more than one lightning bolt strike the target at once? If I have 3 lightning strikes per second while rampaging, and I'm rampaging near a boss, would 3 lightning strikes hit the boss in that same second? Or would the extra 2 be "wasted"?
If it doesn't specify bow hits, yes.
It casts one bolt at a time, more points just increases the rate. They can all hit the same target.
If there is only one target they will all hit that target. Keep in mind Lightning is an area skill so it can hit many enemies around the initial target as well.

If you're referring to the Alignment passive, that only works for healing spells you cast (i.e. pressing a key to use an ability)
Judgement doesn't heal by itself, but it autocasts Consecrated Ground that heals and does trigger that buff, yet Smite that heals from autocast doesn't?

Is the unique armor Aaron's Will intended to only count Summon Skeletons for "+1 max golems per 4 max skeletons"? If you can talk to the right npc to continue your quest you should be able to continue. Encountering this bug many times in the campaign makes it less likely to be fixable though at least with personal experience

Hello ! I'm playing an ignite build at the moment and I was wondering about an interaction with spreading flame.
Considering spreading flame is limited to a single stack, when a new one is applied, does it always overwrite it or if the "new" stack is weaker, it simply refreshes the duration.
I am wondering because spreading flame applied via fireball can have a 200% fire pen increase while spreading flame applied via flame reave doesn't
You're probably out of range of your friend when you're killing things. It's like a screen away
Newer stacks always override older ones when you hit the stack limit.

For shurikens, if they have 100% pierce, do they still ricochet also when they hit?
Check the Alt text on your ricochet/pierce sources, it specifies. iirc one disables the other
The skill node to get ricochet converts it, but with bo's anarchy it says it can also ricochet. so.. pierce + ricochet?
Alt text on that staff says when the ricochet chance procs, pierce gets disabled.
That says if it ricochets it cannot pierce, but it doesn't say it can't ricochet if it pierces, which it does 100%. So it sounds it can protentional hit a target, pierce it while also causing a ricochet and the one that ricochets cant pierce

conversion rates unfortunately will always be better or worse for some, thats just how it is
the " mana storm " node in mana strike seems to be combined with the mana strike hit in the damage numbers, as in when you have it your mana strike looks like it hits for more, but since mana storm casts a different spell called mana arc, is this just for visual clarity, or are they actually considered to be the same hit? since i rely on amount of hits for my build. On last epoch db it says that it's a spell that casts and hits 2 nearby enemies and that it does count as hits. I've tested it on both actual enemies and dummies and it doesn't seem to give any visual feedback at all of it going off. I'm really not sure if this is a bug or not and i don't really wanna send a false bug report, so if someone could please clarify if i'm missing something i would be greatful

damage numbers are pooled as of 0.9 but hits are still separate
Rarity makes more item drop. Which means that as you push corruption, more items drop, which means more uniques drop, which means you have more chances that any given unique drops with LP.
But rarity also causes items to drop with more affixes, and with more tiers of those affixes.
So someone tells me that with enough rarity, rares get upgraded to exalted, and exalted get upgraded to uniques.... and eventually, you could hit a point where only uniques are dropping.
What's the explanation as to why this is not the case?
Another way of phrasing the question:
When a unique/set item is generated, is it replacing a different item that would have dropped instead, had I had less rarity?

The backpack was announced well before the 9th, but a bug prevented it from distributing properly, so they made an update post when they fixed it. I'm sorry you lack information but the statement was absolutely before then and they do not owe you or anyone else the thing they made for a particular group.

Nobody knows, evidently concussive attack removes the chance of stunning from bosses and increases it only for normal mobs on the shield bash skill, but this is not specified..
Mechanics question: Lightning Blast is converted to cold and you are also using Focal Blast. You also have Static spec'd with Unlimited Power. When Unlimited power casts your Lightning Blast, is it intended that it just shoots straight out in front of you without targeting the enemy that procs it?
Are loading times going to be reduced when going through portals and instances? Also, will there be fewer instances, especially in multiplayer, as players often have to wait for a long time for them to load?

Basically without flurry of blows shield bash's attack stuns everyone, both normal mobs and bosses. Flurry of blows removes it (from all) but concussive attacks from a stun percentage (which beyond lv1 reaches much more than 300%) technically on all both mobs and bosses, too bad it never works on bosses, it doesn't really stun them, but it is not specified that it reactivates the shield bash stun but only on mobs.. maybe that's how I explained it better
Stun works based on the damage and increased chance relative to the health of the mob. Bosses have DRASTICALLY more health than normal mobs. That's what you're experiencing.

I'm pretty sure it is fixed. Like the long range was the bugged version right? Check the patch notes for one of the early 0.9 hotfixes for details.
Okay then, then the build is no longer viable, weird that it use to have longer range, and the ranged node 'unbound flame' dont even increase the range, at least not when playing with the flame reave ring as I do.

any chance we can get a % health counter for bosses / elites. it takes the guess work out of using executes (rogue dash for example)
I have been playing since about 6 months after it came out on Kickstarter. I play the wizard/sorcerer/mage in all of the ARPG games that come out and in all of them when it comes to weapons finding something that is really good with lightning is a big treasure hunt. I constantly find wands that are great for fire/ice damage but rarely have lightning, and most of the weapons I do find are for lightning damage. Even for LE you start off with a scepter and not a wand why is that, are lightning builds for LE predominantly carried by the skills until you get a specific unique or set piece wand?
Hey Mike, I've got a question about the mana strike mana storm node. When you have the node it seems like the damage numbers from mana arc and mana strike get pooled on the target you hit, but on LE db (which i know isn't official) it says that mana arc Is a spell that hits 2 nearby enemies, but neither on dummies or actual enemies can I get it to show or seemingly deal any damage to any nearby enemies / dummies. So I would just like some clarification on exactly how the mana storm / mana arc functions and if it actually does lead to more hits per attack.

it says so in the node, mana arc only hits enemies that get hit by mana strike
so basically any enemy hit by mana strike is hit twice with this node taken, right? not for the full damage of mana strike of course but as a whole you get two hits off on the same enemy
i'm assuming no, mana strike can hit multiple enemies as it's an aoe and 2 should be getting hit by mana arc
i see, so if i hit 10 enemies with mana strike i'll get 12 hits off total, still decent for getting more hits off on bosses which is why i took it so that's fine

i've asked this before but i just wanna make sure it's intended. Is " x% of mana spent gained as ward" supposed to work with triggered spells or not? because to me the mana is obviously getting spent, but maybe it's because "you" are not the one spending it, that it doesn't work? for clarification as of right now this mechanic does not seem to work with triggered spells but only with self casted spells.

The way the Suckerpunch Arrow node on the Detonating Arrow tree reads, it sounds like when I hit an enemy that already has an arrow stuck in it, I don't add a new arrow but the original arrow gets its damage and area doubled. Consequently, it would sound like this stacks multiplicatively, giving me 8-fold damage if I manage to hit the enemy 3 additional times before the first arrow explodes. Is that correct?

It's a bug. For some reason you'll get a super late ping from the server and so it'll connect you to the next best which... isn't usually great.

Can there be some sort of protection when going through portals? 99 percent of HC deaths are caused by random enemies coming from nowhere. When you go through portals to another zone all your pets and totems disappear while you sit there and wait. This is multiplayer.

was just checking if it was allowed because I been in contact with support about my desync issues pretty much forcing me to relog sometimes every 5 minutes sometimes every 30 minutes to a hour. im probably gonna tell them Im using exitlag and it has help me not desync at all anymore. Makes me think it might be a server hopping/route issue for my desync issues.
All I can really do is say, use the in game controller config options.

By acknowledgement I mean a public post stating it clearly, so everyone can stop spending dozens of keys while all dungeons are bugged.

So the xp monolith become useless at lvl 100. With one EM U can get your skill going from 10 to 18. so it's not even usefull for respect... Maybe it need a lil' rework to stay usefull at lvl 100, i don't know just a suggetion.

the double portion applies after you have any minion
so if storm crow is your only minion, fulminating caw doesnt benefit, but if you summon a totem and then a storm crow it does? Is this just a rewrite of AODs snap shotting issues?

It's not actually a snapshotting issue at all. It's just order of operations.
When the number of minions you have changes, the game checks all stats based on minion count and applies or removes them. It doesn't check that for upcoming minions as you are in the process of summoning them.
Just means there's an inherent bonus in "abusing" that order though? Unless summoning the/a second storm crow fixes the first not benefitting
I guess in a reverse way it actually is a snapshotting issue in that the storm crow doesn't retroactively update its stats.
Does the gold blessing cause more piles of gold to drop or does it increase the size of the already dropping piles? 🤔
I can submit a bug report if you want, it just seems like a weird thing. Not sure of other ways it would come into play and its a small bonus but still

hi mike, is the " X% of mana spent gained as ward" mechanic supposed to work with triggered spells or not? right now it doesn't seem to work with them, atleast the ones i have (harbinger of stars meteor, mana arc from mana strike). Imo it should work or atleast change the wording to something like "X% of mana spent casting abilities gained as ward".
is the idol affix "chance on 10 mana use to cast lighting at nearby enemy" suppose to not scale with your lightning damage?

im testing it and it is just doing double digits 50-80 dmg instead of 800/1k/2k/3k like my usual lightning damages.
could just have low base damage that's not being scaled well.

It does scale with increases to the stats lightning damage, spell damage, elemental damage and damage.
if possible, could you please expand on why you guys don't want the "X% of mana spent gained as ward" stat to apply to triggered spells? I could see how it might be really strong paired with them but at the same time it really doesn't feel like the sorcerer class has too many options to choose from when it comes to defence since other defensive layers aren't very prevalent in the passive tree. Like maybe having it apply at 50% efficiency or something would be a good compromise.
tldr: basically it would probably just be too strong.
