so I saw you can use class affixes of other classes and put them on neutral Uniques, like channel efficiency, %mana increase both from Sentinel. Any other good affixes you could think of?
You can't even see the zones for the three circles with so many enemies.
You can make your mouse bigger in normal windows settings, it helped me a bit

But in all seriousness, make sure it's on your loot filter and then there's multiple ways to target farm... really depends on the item. If it's a boss drop, well you have no choice but to fight the boss unless you are MG, just buy it. COF there's prophecies for everything minus boss drops/primordial. Timeliness have specific unique echo rewards. There's runes of ascendancy to gamble as well. The list goes on
Is there a resource (website or in-game) that let's me know what scales what? For instance i'd like to know what I need to scale Time Rot the best. But i also have alot of other scaling questions about various ailments and/or skills. The skills are easier with the new UI but ailments are still a bit confusing to me as a relatively new player (abt 100hrs in).

Before the whole discussion on itemization and ease of finalizing builds flares up again, have we not kind of... collectively figured it out by now? min-maxing is just... supposed to be hard. But if we were to look at the LP odds, we may get a hint as to the intent behind the whole thing: 1 LP, common enough. 4LP can go into the 1 in millions. I.e. the best stuff is so rare, you shouldn't even bother planning around it.
The present system looks fine enough for early game, all the way into early empowered monos. But as soon as you think about specificity in terms of build synergy and start planning gear pieces around all affixes (including implicits), you get to the point where to get an even balance of capped resistances, proper crit mitigation, and other small defensive layers alongside all the offense-focused factoring you kind of have to put in to just keep up with damage... Is about the odds of a 2LP natural shattered worlds drop. Getting them properly... maxrolled is about the odds of a 4LP shattered worlds.

none because my farming last season was farming to get an uber-capable setup with my mid tier build

Not all builds are even meant to stand a chance against uber. The ones that can do it with 1T7 slams are kind of... the overtuned ones, while the others may just be... undertuned.
I mean, that would be a rather weird balance
But if that is the intent, that is what the devs are balancing against to boot.
a 2LP shattered is that, an item that can be slammed with 2 affix. Base drop is 1:236
a double T7 is something you can brick with 3 craft before even getting close to be useful
with like, 20+ you can maybe get your desired double T7
then you can go to the 33% gacha to get the right slam
So far, we were only at the 2T7 to boot. Crafting part is a whole beast of its own that eats up 95% of valuable items we try to craft into our own uses.
What we mostly want is a reasonable amount of time spent on a 2T7, let's say, It's rare enough to drop one, but it's the crafting aspect that will most likely... negate it.

Determinism is one of the big no-nos of arpg crafting, insofar as I've experienced. It is largely a trait of the genre and one I've come to expect and work with and around.

It's often not a matter of trust. The developers straight up have a different idea of what the game should be, relative to a lot of players; myself included.

Imho, all media industry runs into the same thing and look at what mass appeal leads to: watered down, generic, bland and unappealing content. If this is what we want of LE, I might as well bail before it actually happens.
One of the things that irks me the most when it comes to raising complaints publicly about video games is when people act like "this isn't fun" isn't a valid reason to complain about something. I'd argue it's actually the single most valid complaint, given that is (broadly speaking) the single most important thing for a video game to be. That doesn't necessarily mean that the suggestion being raised by said player is correct (on the contrary, it usually isn't) but it does mean that something is wrong with the current design.
I agree to the "this isn't fun", personally, but I kind of wanted to go beyond that and consider what part of it really makes it unfun.
Imprints in LE, in my opinion, are bad. They have always been bad. I believe they shouldn't exist in their current form at all. Something like a much more comprehensive form of the blessings that increase drop weights for specific items (2H swords for example), extended to cover specific affixes and base types, would likely be much healthier for the game.
The imprints as a method of skewing a particular item's drop rate in my favor is not something I mind. But I still take it as a skewing of drops and nothing more.

There also likely needs to be some sort of system that allows players to slowly, progressively, get higher quality gear over the course of a season. Imprints filled this role to an extent, as you got better gear, you had better imprints, leading to even better gear dropping. It's a good feedback loop. I don't know what the ideal system would look like, but I think having something that does this is important. And, well. It's dead now. That feedback loop effectively no longer exists.
The finality of it all is build or gear piece, right? All the item drops in the world won't matter much if only 1 of those makes it into your own progression.

Depend on how long they played the game actually. I don't think it's wrong that a player think a game is boring after they played 500h+. It's a serious testing for replayability.

Hi all, is it just me or Aura of Decay needed to be pressed 3 times to activate. Whenever I enter the game, Aura of Decay only need to press once for it to work. But after each map, it needs to be pressed 3 times to activate.
Sometimes pressing once is enough after each new map, but most of the time, I need to press exactly 3 times to have it turned on.

I have had a keyboard before where buttons got so worn out that a key would either not register as being pressed or would just throw in multiples of its presses.

IDK, I put over 5000 hours in Path of Exile; I never thought the game was boring. I have lots of complaints about it (mostly revolving around trade), but boredom.. nope. If someone is getting bored of Last Epoch after 500 hours that feels like a condemnation of the game itself, given how ridiculously replayable this genre is.

Veterans of the genre might notice how the genre itself is rather... simple. Not that much you an do with it.
If you've already played thousands of hours of PoE, LE isn't going to look that impressive at its core.
I've also played my own... 10k collective hours of arpg to date, most of which banging my head against poe...
Just for the record I never said (or thought) Last Epoch was boring, personally. It has a lot of issues, including a lack of content, but it's not boring. Tedious, maybe.
I find a lot of roguelikes boring, because I feel like I very quickly exhaust pretty much the entire design space.
I personally have a hard time separating tedium from boredom myself. Repetition can be fun, so long as it still presents some form of evolution and change (blessed be Tzeench)
I could probably name 30+ builds I've never even tried playing in LE, for example. Something like Roboquest or Megabonk? I've tried literally everything after ~40 hours.
The time investment to get a build going, level 100 and all the gear, is magnitudes greater than those titles you mentioned, so I can see that. This kind of game that LE is sort of involves that time spent and I'm sorry to altoholics, but going in with a plan, even if one you made yourself, might just be the better idea if you also have a correspopnding goal in mind.
Siralim Ultimate is a good example of a game I find tedious to play after a while, but never boring. That game has so many different build options it's mind-boggling.
As for this season, by the by, I could have just persisted with Storm Crows, murdered uber and went on with my life sooner, but I stopped pushing that build and went on to prepare for my own bees setup. My goal was simply bees and see how they hold up against uber for this season and without a well laid plan 2 weeks ago, I would either have just abandoned the idea of bees or got so lost along the way that I'd have given up a week ago. I really extended my time with the game because of this, but it was also kind of... exhausting even getting together the 4 set affix exalts I wanted. Basically a full week for what the build even has at present, of which only 1 even has the 4 desired affixes.
The above is what led me to focus more on the crafting system as a whole, in relation to the existing drop rate of stuff and things.
According to LEtools, this character has 6 days 3 hours 5 minutes of total played time, not too much of it spend idling with the game turned on for whatever reason.
If the overall experience of the game is what matters, this is what went into anything I've ever said about the itemization being reasonable in its current form, maybe adjustable here and there, but we have some other lingering issues or aspects that we could address to tune the overall feel into something better.
@simple bison decided to test things and seems like the the guaranteed rune prison in tombs/cemetaries is working

Yeah I haven't done any testing with that node myself, but I suspect it's quite easy to just miss the prison since they can be pretty big and branchy sometimes

The most interesting build meet the toughest restriction.
It's the 6th build I played, I know how to play the game.
The most smooth build I played still is frost claw sorcerer. It don't hit walls until 700c. Of course, it's 1.1 thing.
The default one is 3, yes. You can reach 5 if you hit a mirror thing where you can place a new echo chain. If you pick a new omen chain you can also select the tier boost (between 0(default) to +2).

It’s not really damage that needs to be tuned. You could be taking damage that isn’t mitigated by Armor
The only damage that isnt mitigated by armor is DoT
So you need 2 layers of defense, or more.

DoT defense needs to be the same as other sources, without flooding the affix pool.
It's already bloated enough as is.

Problem with that is, that behaviour will be the same with player inflicted DoT, which is already weak in its current state

If you make armor mitigate DoT, it would nerf player DoT even harder than it already is

it's extremely idiotic because most of the problem is very obvious and surface level, just multiply all the more modifiers in the tree of every skill and you'll instantly notice that they are orders of magnitude apart from each other, yet the developers most adamantly refuse to address this for close to 6 years now
you can make up your own mind why this keeps happening if an hour or two with a calculator could if not fix it perfectly then help remove 90% of the most gross imbalance
like some skills should not have 25x more damage in their trees while others barely get 2x more
especially when these high multiplier skills also tend to do a lot of hits per cast/per second
right after they (checks notes) completely delete runemaster and make a new runemaster class from scratch, one that would actually play at least remotely close to what was advertised
or as they say in English when hell freezes over
check back in 1.5 or was it 1.6 that is scheduled for skill sigils

some more examples of completely asinine skill tree design from mage, meteor has a point tax for fall speed, skill not sucking to use should really be the baseline (especially since long fall delay would make at least a bit of sense in Harbinger builds.. but Harbinger has a fall speed buff built in)
Fireball has a node that prevents extra projectiles and gives you more damage - except that it's a lot less more damage than adding extra projectiles, which you also need to invest points into, you are literally paying points to nerf yourself
lightning blast and fireball have channeling nodes that are paying points to severely nerf yourself
fireball has a partial transformation in its tree and the second part of the transformation on a unique, combined they still do less than a lot of other skills' transformations do for one point investment
nearly everything in Snap freeze tree is pointless or overnerfed or both
teleport has basically a do nothing tree now that the one good thing in it got nerfed into the ground
Snap freeze in general seems completely worthless
you are literally no better off if you spec teleport as opposed to using it unspecced
spec'd tele is just a bit of ward
oh but you see one convoluted build could permafreeze bosses with it back in 0.8.1 so now it will remain bad and broken forever

I really enjoy mage / sorc and keep coming back to it, usually playing concept characters rather than meta builds.
But you can really see how some of the older skill trees have issues, with skill point taxes or designs that don't work in actual gameplay.

I wrote up a very similar idea in suggestions at least twice, years ago, and I can't be bothered writing it out again in detail. But lenses should give you a lot more targeted drops, but they should require more build up/refinement by continuously imprinting them with items similar to what you want to be targeting. Needless to say I wouldn't hold my breath that anything like this would ever be implemented for COF

anted to ask, anyone having issue with temporal sanctum dungeon every few times(keys) its just goes into infinite loading and the disconnects. and I ahve to restart the game otherwise it never loads
also monos don't feel empty because they previously had to shrink most echo maps by like 80%+ to make them feel less empty

Does anyone have the issue with the adorned idols being deactivated after a weaver's touch ?
Hmm, I'm using an Ocular Altar and I put some idols here
And when a weaver's touch happens and upgrade one of my idols, it then disable it
Saying "Your idol altar limit the use of this type"
There's only one of it
So..
unequip all your idols except that one
does your altar have "heretical idol limit" on it
equip them one at a time until the adorned idol deactivates
and you'll see where the problem is

is it normal practice to shift your build to zero hp pure dps around 600 corruption since everything is like 7k+ damage hits against you?

well that happens with a infinitely scaling endgame. I don't think 600c is like that tho? that hasn't been my experience at least. it's usually around 1000+ where I feel my defenses becoming pointless.
i agree more like after 1k corruption is where one shots happen more frequent (obviously dont tank everything, there are indicators for huge hits). at 600c its more of build issue, if you are purely focused on offense. gotta get more defensive layers and balance out your character

doing campaign skip first time the latter leading to the Temporal Sanctum dungeon this can only be used if you have already done temporal sanctum so im lost. im tryna do chapter 5 - 9 skip
yeah it assumes you have dropped a key for there somewhere during campaign
or on an alt
otherwise you'd just have to continue on with the campaign

they don't appear in cemetry and echo chain. So if you take memories of the observer in the weaver tree+ imprint rune prison complex, you can reset the timeline layout by lowering the corruption 10 by 10 until you find your imprint.
it's the only imprint that really works atm with the really low level unique, forget about the rest
is Farsight Turtle woven very rare? Haven't seen one yet

i mean the extra swords converted to smite
Smite being a triggered skill and not a subskill, because it has its own tree, will not benefit from anything inside Multistrike

Otherwise you could die at the end and really farm spoons easily

Not a single mage unique
And just leaving does the same
Yeah I've tried farming it like that (leaving before it cleared) and it doesn't drop a single unique

hey all looking a little help - on C300+ for a while now and have yet to see a RUNE PRISON Woven echo drop and to this point killed 100's of mages... is there something I'm missing as I believe this one cannot be purchased - any tips how to target better
i think one ice themed mono has a bigger change to spawn rune prisons (or i mightve been lucky) and i got it from one of these echo lines

I am lvl 98, got to 1k corruption, played a good bunch this season
Only got 1
I imprinted, got double mages and was able to run it a few times from imprint
But still havent found a second one
got lucky this season, ran tons of the mages last season got none now i sit on 3
anyone know if u combine a cast speed sentinel item on a relic, can anyone use it or do sentinel only use it?

when will you finally adress gamebreaking bugs like getting stuck in terrain and not beeing able to move after using dancing strikes? like i lost 20 maps that last day to this bug, when you get stuck with the dancing strikes bug you cant even click portal so if there are no enemies around you have to restart the game. These kind of bugs should be highest prio. Really ruins the fun.

i reported so many bugs yesterday i am afraid of getting banned cause they think its spam xdd
the problem is you get no feedback at all, did someone see the report? do they work on the issue? when you take a look into "known bugs and issues" in the discord here it does not look like it
it's a shame cause I do think the game is in a really good state in general atm
i would like them to make imprints the CoF mechanic, because thats what it should have been from the start, but at this point, at least tweak the numbers cos this wasnt a nerf they just deleted them from the game

but them fixing ´´issue´´ with flamerush being able to squeeze between the bars at Julra was fixed within weeks 😂
you'd think if it really was someone's job to go through that every day (which they said was the case), it would go to known issues
but ye imprints are a joke right now, getting items with 1 t7 is possible, but i have imprinted double exhalted items since day 2 of the season and have not seen a single one

but since corruption doesnt scale pretty much anything most of the exalts u drop from proph will be t6, some t7,
for uniques its slightly better but yea, farming exalts from prophecies is just trolling yourself
